I always love bootleggers and this meal didn't disappoint. I had the chicken burger and sweet potato fries. The fries were slightly overdone which was a shame but I still enjoyed the food. The cocktails were class and I had the no craic mocktail, again gorgeous! And the staff were lovely as always!

The carbdashian burger was the best beef burger I’ve ever had in Belfast, the chicken burger was less than average and the fries was okay.. The food take more than 20mins to arrive i will visit again for the carbdashian burger!

Excellent food. Service was very good. 1hr wait on a table....but they were very busy!! But the cocktails certainly eased the waiting time🍸🍹 Bit of a mix up on the order but they were extremely apologetic about it and offered a discount. Very, very accomplished throughout. Kids had goujons etc - perfect 👌🏼 Pig out burger - 100%. A definite hit!! El Dude burger - class 😋. Would recommend. Extra napkins please........ Will be back again to try out some of the rest of the menu.

Great decor and felt so comfortable being an solo diner in here which is always a great find when you can find a place like that. The food was a... mazing! I had the chip shop hero. But one thing to note (as is the same in most burger places) is that the burgers are priced for the BURGER.. not with fries. Mine was described as having fries but to my error didn't realise this meant theyre on the burger. However the burger was filling enough and come away very happy. My photo really doesn't do it justice.

Absolutely amazing!!! Food was incredible. We didn’t have a reservation & they were super busy, but offered us seats outside and drinks while we waited. Drinks slightly pricey but doable, staff very friendly and like I said, the food was fantastic. So worth it!

Milkshake was exceptional and reasonably priced. The chips went cold very fast due to the weather conditions (can’t really blame that on the restaurant though).The mac n cheese was not up to the usual standard. However, perhaps that was due to the weather conditions also. Umbrellas were up but there was no rain so disappointed in that regard. Huge gash in the table but helped with milkshake drainage. The men across the street were very well dressed as also shown in photos attached below.

Great food and fantastic staff! We came with two babies, there water and drinks spilled, lots of tears and just in general baby chaos but the staff couldn't have been more friendly and understanding. Will definitely be back minus babies next time ☺️

The feel inside was nice, the buffalo fries were really good, the wings were the best I’ve ever had with the devil sauce( you have to get this sauce, best sauce I’ve ever had in my life.) The burger was ok. The only problem is it took forever for our food to be made but overall quite good

Very very decent pub grub and honest and friendly staff. They had a hard time when we were there for lunch because of a broken oven. Food arrived faster than expected and was delicious. Lovely place.

I have been such a regular customer of Bootleggers for roughly 6 years. The food has always been amazing and staff have always been outstanding. Recently i have noticed the food doesn’t seem like the same quality it has been in recent years? Maybe a different chef or something? Unsure, although i do know that the food is not as tasty or satisfying when eating, not like it used to be! We will continue to come as we love the staff and atmosphere- we would be on first name bases with alot of the staff too which is amazing. 3/5 stars due to food not being as nice anymore. Cocktails are still good!

We came for dinner after work and there was a 15 minute wait to be seated for dinner, but we were able to sit at the bar and enjoy some nice Guinness and cocktails. For the food, it's like a bar and grill but the food was delicious. We got the fish tacos, which we're nicley battered and the tortillas, not sure if they were hand made, but pretty close. And the appetizers were outstanding, we got the mozzarella sticks and a mixture of fries and sweet potato fries that really hit the spot. It's a not spacious venue, but they make great use of the space. there is also seating outside, not great in winter weather, but in warmer conditions it's a great option. I wasn't expecting much, but the food was well made and the staff was pleasant and checked on us frequently. This is a well run establishment and I would recommend it if you are looking for good drinks and tasty food at decent price.

After being pushed from pillar to post one cold Wednesday night in Belfast where the Christmas Market closed at 8pm and so it seemed did everywhere else for food we chanced upon this place - stunning food, something for everyone, great service, good atmosphere and the little issue we did have (lipstick on the glass) was resolved with no issue. Went as a family of 5 on a Friday night. 45 min wait for a table but expected as much as not booked in. Has drinks outside whilst we waited. Once inside food was fantastic. The best food I ever had and really good prices for drinks. The staff are really friendly and go out if their way to make tour stay feel safe and comfortable. Best bar so far since the covid-19 restrictions. Will be going back there soon. The Guinness was really smooth and well poured. The teapot cocktails are really worth the money, as you can see my friend enjoying his teapot.

I like this place been a few times before, however took my 19 year old son recently and waited over an hour for drinks (table service). Other people arriving after us were served within 10 minutes. The only reason I am mentioning this is that I spoke to staff 3 times about this (very politely) but was not offered an apology or reason or the drinks. However I still rate this place, music is good, I like the atmosphere.

Had a great experience here. The place was consistently packed and we were lucky to be able to get a seat at the bar. Food was really yummy and creative. The "poutine" was nothing like the traditional Canadian poutine but very tasty in its own write.

Great place to get Tacos, especially if you like spicy tacos. I got chicken and my husband got steak and we both loved them. The only slight disappointment was the veggie nachos. Too many toppings made for soggy tortilla chips. But it did taste good so I wouldn’t knock off any stars or anything. The highlight though was the Crack Pie. If you took a delicious oatmeal cookie and paired it with toffee, and made it into a warm, yummy pie...that would be this pie. Picture of it with my review. The atmosphere was pretty chill, but we got there for an early dinner. I can imagine this place gets busy later.

Bootleggers is a great place tucked away in the heart of Belfast. This locale has a pretty simplified menu with some exciting items such as a selection of fish and pork tacos as well as a diverse range of burgers. Start it off with some great appetizers like poutine fries or the Buffalo chicken fries. This place serves up some great cocktails and even has a frozen margarita machine which we have never seen outside of Texas. The service is a little slow but it is because they are always packed. The prices were quite reasonable as well which was nice. Be prepared to wait a bit if you go at meal times but it is worth it.

This is a fun place to eat with family or friends. Good menu of burgers. The Mac and Cheese bake was on the specials by was unfortunately sold out. Nice selection of drinks too. Not a huge menu but lots of choice for everyone. The plant based options were great. The music on the street was very loud and we hoped it weeks be a bit quieter inside. It was most of the time but there were a couple of bass-rich tracks played that were uncomfortably loud. Staff were friendly and kindly phoned us when our table was ready.

Food was incredible as always. The tacos in here are unreal- they're what I come back for every time. The server had some issues putting in our order on this occasion, so order had to be re-taken and food took quite a while to arrive as a result, but the server was brilliant in terms of dealing with the hiccup- made the table aware of her mistake, was very apologetic, and gave us a significant discount on our food. Safe to say I feel like this is the best meal I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. The tacos were amazing, the mozzarella sticks are hands down the best I’ve ever had. Sat here all day drinking moonshine. What a day fantastic drink especially the apple and pear teapot as seen in the picture. Nice to sit outside at a covered table.with a heater when it got colder and watch Belfast go by. The menu caught our eye straight away. Being the first place we visited as a group after landing in Belfast, Bootleggers got our weekend away off to a great start. The menu choices were brilliant and the food was even better. The atmosphere for a Friday lunchtime was great and the overall theme and feel of the venue was well done. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout which can always be a bit tricky when serving a group of 6 but they managed very well. If you're looking for good food and good drinks add Bootleggers to your "must visit list" while in the city. It would make a great rest stop while doing some city centre shopping.

Cocktails are pricey at 9.50 a glass but they so tasty and have a large selection to suit all tastes. Staff are knowledgeable and will help you find the cocktail suited to your taste. My cocktail of choice was the rhude boy. On the cocktail menu they have a small picture of the size of glass it comes in aswell which is handy to know. Will definitely be back.

Fun environment for drinks and food! Restaurant has a large bar area and separate area for dinning. Wait staff was helpful and bartenders were excellent. Food was decent and menu was good(food and drink menu). Food choices were more Americanized than Irish, which was what we were looking to eat. Prices were good too! Reduced my review after a recent visit. Food and service was just as good as always, however the time taken to get food was long and I've noticed (but tried to ignore) this before. We waited around 40 minutes for 1 burger, 1 hotdog and 2 portions of chips... not a big order. Dont misunderstand, the staff we dealt with and food were as good as always, but we spent almost our entire lunch break waiting on the food to arrive. I tried Bootleggers for the first time today. The girl who served us was really friendly and had a lovely personality, the place was really nice and comfortable inside, nicely decorated. We waited around 20 minutes for our food which wasn't too long. I had a burger and fries. The food wasn't anything amazing.. compared to other places I've tried in Belfast, the fries were pretty normal and I've had a lot nicer burgers elsewhere but the food was still nice and tasted good. Overall, my experience was really good and I'd recommend it to everyone to try it for themselves.

Only downside is how busy it is and how long you have to wait if you go anytime near the weekend or other popular times of day. Food is really nice, not sure if its worth the price but i enjoyed it none the less, then again my partner got a cocktail which was almost the price of a main course. I've tried to get seated in here 4 times over the past month and each time i was told it would be a 20-30 minute wait, i kept trying because we heard it was really nice. The last time i was in we had plenty of time so i was able to get a drink before hand. Just wish they would do something with the booths, bit annoying to see 1 or 2 people taking up several booths made for 4 people but i guess that's the way it is.

Bootleggers is a fairly nice bar/restaurant in a good location with a wide selection of drinks and cocktails. In regards to their food, it used to be great but the quality of most things on their menu has noticeably dropped over the past year or two. In particular, their Tacos and Burgers used to be very good and the reason why my friend group would go but they changed the fillings/recipes about a year ago and they're a huge let down now.

From the young, cool staff with tattoes and kick as attitude to the edgy wood decor around the pub this place spits attitude. This place has something to say. It practically screams "I'm here, we're the new kids on the block and we are here to stay." This is justified and backed up to prove that they are not skin deep. Their cocktails are on point. There food is perfectly represents the establishment, In your face yet executed perfectly. In fact this place is the perfect representation of Belfast itself. Up and coming energetic and not willing to be ignored. So if you want to know this city, ifbyou want to taste it give Bootleggers a go.

Really good place to have something to eat and drink good beer. In the menu there are a few burgers to choose from, chicken burger also. Generally food is very delicious, would even say that the best burgers in Belfast I have ever eaten. The disadvantage may be the fact that you’ll be need to wait for the food a little while, definitely it isn't ‘fast’ food. There is also student discount for food, can be useful for someone including myself. When it comes to beer ,there is some variety to choose from, yet it would be great if some sour or goose beer would appear. Imperial stout also would be a nice to have in a menu, and an appearance of barley wine would be just perfect.
