My last night in Belfast, came here for a treat and it did not disappoint! The food is ambitious, original and tasty. Creatively and carefully assembled plates. We enjoyed scallops and duck entree, fish and steak (seperate) mains, and a selection of desserts. The staff were attentive and the atmosphere pleasant. Highly recommend.

Very nice waiters, beautiful seafood.

We were walk ins before a show recently and we were seated quickly and served immediately. The food was amazing. The squid was the best I've had in a long time, and the hamburger was so big my son couldn't finish it, the patty was massive. Altogether positive, I can highly recommend it.

So, this was home to the second best meal I've ever had in my life. We tried to go back to this restaurant on our way back from Belfast to Dublin but it was closed. Whatever you do, find a way to try this place. Their prix-fix menu is out of this world, and I'm not sure what the chefs are doing back there, but it's gotta be witchcraft. Every portion of each dish is thought out so incredibly well - every reduction, every flavour. I'm floored that this place exists and pissed that it exists so far away from home.

Had booked our table at least 6 weeks in advance. We were sent upstairs where they didn't seem to have menus. Waiters & waitresses fluttered about us on either side of us & still we had no service. Very disappointing as our last experience was so different. Could not have done any more for us. So obliging. Sat with no drinks for 15 mins & no sign of menus till later. Food was good as you would expect from one of the best restaurants in Belfast but service was abysmal. One girl took over from the difficult male who was useless & she was much more pleasant. Tonight put me off coming back. In one of Belfast's premier restaurants, you shouldn't have to ask for menus on repeated occasions, ask for a drink, water etc. Tonight just ruined my Tedford experience. My husband & I were treating good friends to a meal but it it did not live up. A very basic restaurant in Spain would have delivered a much more superior service. Get your act in order! Choose your staff well. They are the front line & your waiter just did not live up to your previous good reputation.

The food here is fantastic amd the cocktails. Unfortunately the service really let the place down. Having to wait 10 minutes for a menu and no drinks menu for another 10 was disappointing. I will give it another chance though as the food is great!

Tedford’s, right across from “Nuala with the Hula”, a large statue on the river, is a cozy upscale restaurant that focuses on steak and seafood. The ambiance is cozy, upscale, and yet makes for a nice place to hang out with friends.
Go for the pork belly which comes as a big chunk of meat, perfectly seared and chewy.
The monkfish was the standout of the night. I was congratulated for my menu prowess with a “best lineup of the night” comment, but I think the monkfish was the MVP. The lobster roll was crispy, buttery but not watery, and substantial without being overly fishy. The curry sauce that accompanied the dish, I could have eaten alone or just with the rice though the thick cut and well seasoned fish made it all the better. All around the mulberry bush, the monkfish was the best I’ve had.
Dessert was this assortment of sweets that put together I think looks like a muppet’s head. The peanut butter ice cream was delicious with a great balance of sweet and slight salty savoryness. The custardy chocolate was also excellent and on the dark side which offset the sweetness of the ice cream. The crispy biscuits provided a texture difference and cut through the sweetness to keep it from getting cloying.
The service was a bit aloof though. Our waiter over-poured prosecco to overfill the glass, spilled wine on the table, and nearly knocked out someone with a plate.

Was here for Christmas lunch with work. The food was really good. The service was mainly very good and attentive apart from 1 waitress who lacked in her customer service.

Fabulous meal and good service. Though the restaurant has moved. It's only a two minute walk from the old location though. Well worth the trip.
