Reviews of Cuban Sandwich Factory

The place is a bit small but serves a very good meal and the chips are incredibly good in taste.
Definitely recommended for the lunch and if you're starvin Marvin then go for the meal deal which is quite filling.
Will also add some photos here.
R. M.
Fantastic service, amazing food. Quite small but nice to sit outside when the weather permits.
B.
Simple and precise menu with Cuban favourites! Sitting in front of the cooking station and looking at gorgeous sandwiches being made. I had the choripan lunch set. Good Latin music to accompany the good food.
K. O.
Best sandwiches I've had in a long while. Authentic taste and very reasonably priced. Carlos is really friendly as well!
Find them at the botanic and st George's market!

They have amazing sandwiches I have tried the vegetarian one which was amazingly testy. The staff was so kind and fast. The only thing the lemonade is not natural as they said but overall this is one of my favourite places.

Who even knew that the best meal I'd eat in Belfast would be a classic Cuban sandwich? Thanks for the great food ;)
J. D.
Great Cuban sandwiches as the name states. Very nice and cozy place in the middle of the city.
A. L.
Great place with amazing staff. My first time here, came in just before closing time and lovely Hannah recommended me a tasty sandwich to try as well as making a meal with really delicious chips too. Can't fault it and the staff are helpful and so nice. Would recommend to anyone looking a takeaway lunch.
M. R.
There's a good reason the queues are so long here. The sandwiches are fantastic and you definitely want the meal deal to get their chips.
Worth sitting down if you can get a seat. There's a good few seats outside if the weather is nice. Great spot for people watching.
D. P.
Tasty sandwiches, didn't have fries when we were there.
E. S.
Friendly staff and delicious sandwiches! Great Cuban vibe.
G. W.
Busy sandwich store with really taste cuban sandwiches. Staff are friendly! Love that!
i.
Best lunch spot in the whole of Belfast city in my opinion. Clean, quick and delicious. Have eaten here alone and also with my partner and we were both served every time with a smile from the friendly staff.
M. D.
Perfect for lunch or a quick dinner, the food here is all fresh and well made. Based around the Cuban Sandwich, there are plenty of different options, lighter meals and some non-sandwich options available. Breakfast is also available, but I haven't tried this yet. Sandwiches are roughly £6, with a meal deal add-on for £2.50 giving you a drink and fries (a seasoned mix of potato and sweet potato). I highly recommend this place.
G. S.
The food served here is no frills but very very tasty.
For £7 you get a meal deal for which I had a Classic Cuban (pulled pork, glazed ham, Swiss cheese, yellow mustard, gherkins), chips (very nicely spiced) and a drink. Serving size is good
It gets busy at lunchtime so if you want to eat in, there will be a bit of a wait for a table but it is worth it.
I've been twice and have plenty more I want to try on the menu!
J. B.
Been wanting to try this place for a long time. Called into town bout 10.30am which was perfect as wasn't too busy. Ordered the Cuban classic sandwhich which was lovely and like nothing I've tasted before. Got to listen to some nice Latino music while I ate my sandwich, it was a lovely experience.
J. C.
A tiny place but delivered big on their products, sandwiches are all well priced and absolutely delicious. Building itself is located inside the arcade and is very small but packed with character. Staff are all incredibly friendly and the food is second to none
R. M.
One of my favourite places for a sandwich in Belfast. I love their veggie option and my friends have told me the meat options are delicious. Good value for money and for an extra £2 you can add a drink and plantain fries.
M. B.
The food here is fantastic, the sandwiches are so tasty, full of flavor. If your getting lunch here you have to try the chips, i wish they sold the seasoning so i could eat chips like that at home lol. Staff are fast and really friendly.
F. W.
I got a classic Cuban. The service was slightly slow and it's often busy, but all the important stuff is good. Filling, well presented and the flavours were excellent. A great lunch.
J. M.
Brilliant wee gem in Belfast, lovely food and great staff! Must go for grub
J. H.
Good spot to pick up some lunch. Offers something a little different compared to most other places choice wise and everything I've had has been enjoyable. Prices are also fairly good (comparable to rivals) Looses a star because there are other places that I would usually recommend ahead of it for one reason or another.
Value: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 speed of service 3/5 portion size: 4/5 Staff 5/5
D. 9.
Amazing sandwiches, and the chips.... Oh my goodness the chips! They mix normal fries with sweet potato fries seasoned well.
Really good coffee too. Would definitely recommend.
J. G.
Best sandwich I've ever had. However no card facilities and being refused a glass of tap water was bit annoying. But would still go back in a heartbeat. Actually everyone should try a classic cubano here!!!!
S.
Called in to Fountain St today for lunch. Served by the absolutely lovely Hannah who was friendly & bubbly from the minute we walked in. After a beautiful latte and buckets of smiles our food arrived, which was really tasty! Would definitely return if in Belfast again... And she's a keeper! Give the girl a payrise!
C. I.
Great selection of sandwiches and the seasoned fries are great along with traditional lemonade.
A little small and definitely one for lunch rather than dinner.
Highly recommend the Cuban Reuban!
M. B.
*EDIT* After contact from the owner, I will give it another shot and adjust the review according to how it goes.
After a follow up visit, the sheer jump in quality was impressive, I got a very nicely toasted sandwich with some really nice quality meat in it, my own issue, I went for the chilli sauce which was quite tame, there may be a stronger version of it (I didn't ask) but the basic one was on the milder side, the fries were nice however I would say more sweet potato fries in the mix would be a lot better.
S. K.
Amazing Cuban sandwich made fresh. Perfect proportions with a lil kick from the mustard and pickle. Cafe con leche was divine and super smooth. Highly recommend!
J. P.
Best sandwiches in Belfast they are amazing and the potato and sweet potato fries are brilliant too, very quickly served and prices are very good too! Couldn’t recommend it enough!
S. B.
An authentic Cuban restaurant that's been open 3 years now. They have all the Cuban originals from the classic and the key West to the choripan. Even a few new interpretations on some old classics like the reuban. A must go if you are ever in Belfast. And don't think you have to order a side. These sandwiches are huge on their own.
W. S.
Best sandwich place in Belfast hands down. It always seems to have a queue out the door, but don't be put off by this as it moves very quickly.
P. N.
Honestly the best sandwich in Belfast. As someone that has been to Miami and had authentic Cuban Sandwiches, it is very, very close to the real thing. A bit cramped and a bit slow but the taste and quality is well worth both.
D. C.
Although you can hear it too often this days, I'm going with Chernobylian review for this one as it perfectly explains it - not great, not terrible. Just average food where nothing stands out, good or bad.
Place is quite small with very limited seating. Big minus is for not beeing able to pay with a card, it's cash only.
C. S.
The sandwiches are quite epic, you get plenty for what you pay. The lunchtime queues will mean you will probably wait a while and the shop is tiny with very few seats. Worth a visit but the queues, along with nowhere to sit, put me off going more often.
C. M.
I've been going to the Cuban sandwich factory since before they moved to the queen's arcade. The queue is usually quite long if you hit the lunchtime rush but that is because the food is that good.
D. C.
Best sandwiches in Belfast. The one in city centre is currently better than the botanic one. But I'd say they'll catch up in quality eventually
C. A.
So far I've had breakfast twice and lunch once in the Cuban Sandwich Factory and the food has been delicious each time. Not for the faint-hearted 'cos everything is large and rich, but if you have a proper hole in your belly this place will satisfy you.
T. A. (.
Good sandwich place with a Cuban touch, a bit small however and can get crowded at lunch time. But prices are decent for what you get. No card machine, only take cash.
A. M.
Absolutely unreal. Great food. Great prices and super fast service. Hannah is amazing, always friendly and naturally engaging with everyone. Absolute must!
J. S.
I was one of the first men to touch ground in the Bay of Pigs, what a day.
Castro's boys were viscous, and for the first couple of hours we were getting torn apart. We hid out in a little villa previously commandeered by the revolutionary army, and there was an old piano player named Rico keeping the place clean.
Now Rico was the kinda slick cat who had a girl in every port and a keen sense of spices. We were hungry as all hell and the chief was asking for supplies. Rico pulled out a Cubano the size of one of Fidels cigars and my jaw hit the floor. We all had a cut and I tell you, I've never felt better in all my life.
That Cubano was the second best sandwhich I ever had in my life, the first was in this Cuban Sandwhich Factory. I felt as if the spirit of Rico was dining with us the evening we walked through its doorway.
My personal favourites the chicken. Its good stuff.
O. T.
Amazing! The sandwiches are absolutely delicious! What would make the place perfect would be bigger premises and a credit card machine. Cash only is very inconvenient.
D. W.
Best sandwiches in Belfast, always busy which speaks volumes, definitely worth a look if you're looking something tasty and different from the usual high st big names!!
A. L.
Delicious sandwiches, friendly staff, fun atmosphere. Favourite place for lunch in Belfast, if you liked the movie Chef, you'll love it here
B. C.
Love this place for a treat, small space but has alot of character and having ordered most food off the menu have yet to find a sandwich I don't like.
K. M.
Great food and great staff..can be pretty packed at the lunch hours but not a problem if you're only looking for a takeaway, just be prepared to queue for 10 minutes or so.
R.
Very good food. Perfect for on the go meals on a busy lunch hour. The space itself is a little cramped but that is also because it is so popular!
B. S.
Best sandwich in Belfast, I love everything about this place, the music, the decor, the staff and of course the delicious sandwiches!
To sum up, there is often a queue to the door at lunch for a reason!
S. E.
CSF provided us with catering for a small event - absolutely excellent from start to finish. I'm told the vegetarian option was great too
W. W.
Best sandwiches in Belfast, hands down!
C. H.
Nice hot, flavourful sandwiches. Takes little longer to prepare but worth it. Can be busy but is reasonably priced.
C. W.
After moving from St. George's Market I thought he would lose some of the quality in his sandwiches but he hasn't. They are still awesome and the menu has expanded. I'll be calling in every time I'm home.
E. W.
Authentic Cuban family run sandwich shop. Great to see the growth from stall to shop. You won't get a sandwich like this anywhere else in Belfast.
D. S.
Service is good and the food is great. Could have used a little more mustard and a bit longer on the toaster but otherwise no complaints.
T. B.
Just stayed in town for an hour and found this Cuban sandwich. Good food and the owner and staffs were very nice!!! Enjoy the Cuba sunshine if you want to stay away from gloomy weather
G. L.

Really great authentic food,( the owner is Cuban) ,but the service can be a bit slow and guys, guys, cash only won't hack it.In this day and age you have to take cards or lose trade.
C. E.

M. M.
Fabulous cubanos, funky interior, friendly staff... that's why they are always busy! Go early to get a good seat, but just go!!!
E. T.
Sandwiches are a bit too crispy for my liking but I still love this place. Very reasonably priced
R. M.
About the best Cuban sandwich I've eaten to date, plus tons of great variations, and great value when bought with chips and a drink.
