Had a meal here on business. Very good quality food. Not big portions but very nice. No draught beer let’s it down so only 4 stars. Staff are all very friendly and service is very good. You should give this place a try if you get chance.

One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been in. Great service and a wide selection on the menu. Food nice and hot when it arrived and no delays between courses. The food portions are very generous and I could not finish my main. Chicken madras was excellent and the garlic nann was second to none. I order from India Gate quite often and the food has always been delicious, but recently the food has not been so good. The chef, for some reason has started putting lots of salt, coconut, lots of garlic and there's too much cinnamon. Everything tastes of cinnamon. We haven't been ordering so often because of this problem. I have also not been able to eat much of the last 2 we got as it was too spicy and uncomfortable to eat. Tuesday night the food used to be lovely, but last night 30/11/21 it was way too hot and again, too much cinnamon, garlic and salt. It could not be eaten again. Maybe if the other chef starts cooking all week we will order more again, but, as it is now, I dont think we will be ordering so often. India Gate, please sort your chefs out

It's a pretty decent Indian. Lovely food with an almost home style Indian cuisine. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Excellent vegetarian menu and prices are very reasonable compared to other Indian take always. Parking is always convenient if your timing is right in the evening once the rush hour commutes are gone.

I have no idea why this place doesn't rate an average of five stars. We got in late from London yesterday and chanced across it. Every single thing we ate was delicious. It wasn't greasy like lots of Indian places tend to be. The prices seemed high, but then it included naan and rice, and the curries were FULL of meat. I have never not been able to get through a curry, but we left a couple of cubes of meat behind. Tender, delicious, barbecued meat in the curry. The service was super attentive and lovely. I couldn't rate it higher. It is one of the best Indian meals I have had in my life. What a great find.

My wife Patricia and I were taken to this fine establishment compliments of my cousin and her husband Joe. I am not an Indian food aficionado and was skeptical of the menu. I was introduced to the owner, Prossad and expressed my concerns on spicy foods. He listened intently and suggested a couple of menu choices. The food was wonderful and the service staff was excellent. If there are meat and potatoes people reading this; you cannot go wrong with this fine restaurant. I will return on my next holiday.

This was our first time in India Gate most definitely not our last. The restaurant is warm friendly and spacious. The staff are welcoming and very friendly, attentive and very courteous. Food is amazing by far the nicest curry’s we have had. Can’t wait to go back.

Really good food. Served poppadoms with dips on arrival, hot but tasty. Two main courses ( bhuna and maderia chicken) and two portions of nan bread (nicest I have had) and two soft drinks £33.. Love the hot wipes they offer at the end of the meal. The staff are lovely. Definitely will be visiting again.

Visited the India Gate on Sunday 27th May. We were the first couple to dine that afternoon so we were well looked after. The food and service was outstanding, and while it was quiet we enjoyed some pleasent banter with the staff. All in all it was most enjoyable, and an excellent meal. We will definitely be back.

We had lamb biryani and chicken lollypop. Biryani was delicious! Ask for curd with it and you ll love the combo. Chicken lollypop wasn't good at all. It felt half cooked and wasn't tasty. It was just tasteless deep fried chicken. Also it came with tomato sauce whereas it should be Schezwan sauce.
