Read the reviews so made a booking, when we arrived we were given the option of the table booked for us or a edge table is we were happy to finish within an hour and a half which was a nice touch. The staff are all super friendly and accommodating. The food... That's what you want to know about... Just go. Try it. It's sublime!! Honestly top notch food. Have you booked yet? Why not!?!

A very enjoyable Saturday Lunch. Very good kids menu mine selected the Cheeseburger excellent quality meat in a brioche bun. Nothing processed here! My wife an I ordered the Lamb it was cooked perfectly a little pink just how it should be served well rendered quality meat quality ingredients. Decent wine selection cocktails and full bar. Service attentive friendly and superb. Decor quite funky and I like the information supplied on the foods provenance.

A bit off the beaten path and easy to miss, but worth the trip. The restaurant has interesting decor highlighting some local history and also features mismatched seating, creating a fun look that is still mature. I ordered a chicken dish with bacon and mushroom sauce, which the server helped me select. This was a very simple and delicious dish, but a little on the pricier side. I was a bit fan of the white chocolate and Bailey's cheesecake that I had for dessert.

It's a very good tasting food in this restaurant. One of the best rissotos in the town and the Christmas menu this place has is really amazing. Quite pleased with the food and also the staff are quite polite. Perfect and classy place for a dinner with music around too. Recommended definitely.

We had a really fabulous meal here on foot of a recommendation made by a friend. It’s vey centrally located, the. Restaurant itself is very funky. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. All in all it was a great meal and it was very good value. We will definitely return!

Great place and absolutely spot on service. They went to great lengths in order to solve a dietary requirement and what they prepared outside of the menu was just delicious, one of the best chickens I have ever had. One of my go to restaurants in Belfast, its so quirky and cool. I love somewhere I can go with friends and feel like I can actually sit and have a conversation without anyone standing over us wanting us to leave and made in Belfast is one of those places (at city Hall) the decor is rustic and fresh. My favourite is the window seat with all the colourful cushions. The food is really good and the cocktails are even better. Price for food is reasonable but I think the price for cocktails should be reviewed as they are expensive and not very big. I've Been here with both friends and my husband and with its a friend date or a date night it ticks both boxes.

We are very pleased about this place. Very friendly service and the food is excellent. My friend had the salmon which was cooked to the point and I had steak, cut in stripes and medium rare at its best. Desert another high light but unfortunately only seasonal. We'll definitely be back

Really, really, really fantastic food!! My husband said his steak with a peppercorn sauce was the best steak he's ever had. All the sides were fabulous. I had the fish, and everything on my plate was so perfectly prepared, seasoned, and balanced that the only word that kept coming to my mind was "exquisite." It was a work of art. Can't complain about the food, rustic heart warming meals with great flavour. The chef as a good pallet. Cocktails are a bit slap dash, needs more effort. The decor is a crazy clash of designs, which I have found to be marmite reaction. Service was terrible. Staff look like they don't want to be there, on top of asking for a dessert menu 3 three times (which would have been understandable if it was busy, but there were only 4 tables in use).

Lovely food and really attentive service. Was in on a Saturday afternoon so it wasn't really busy but all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere and comfortable seating. Great selection of gin. Have only dropped it a star because I thought the toilets let it down, a bit grubby and whiffy ... I was surprised. I had heard about the quirkiness of this restaurant and loved the look of the decor so I decided to try it out. I ordered the seafood chowder and on my first mouthful, there was a piece of polystyrene in it!! I was so shocked that I left pretty quickly. I didn't make a complaint as I was in a rush to get the train, I wish I had-as finding something in your soup is up there as a cliched 'schoolboy error'. The cappuccino was lovely, couldn't fault the service and the surroundings were cool but this REALLY put me off as you might expect

Usually a good go-to restaurant but didn't really enjoy my last meal there which was pork belly followed by choc torte. Pork belly was more like ham hock and boxty was tasteless. Choc torte was a massive slice but gooey centre was tasteless. Bit forgettable. Shame.

Great little gastro pub with fun/quirky atmosphere. I had the wild mushroom risotto and my friend had the ploughman's burger; both were cooked to perfection. Price and service were also great. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

There isn't an item on the menu that doesn't please. We often have a few starters between the two of us for our whole meal as we can never choose just one! We’re sure you know that welcoming feeling when you walk into a friend’s house you haven’t visited for far too long. Well, we had that experience at MIB. To begin with we had some great cocktails. (So good we’ll forgive them for having no Campari to make a Negroni!! !) After a few “welcome back surprises” - thanks guys!- we then ordered our mains. The Cauliflower Katsu Curry has always been a favourite however we wondered had the recipe changed? It’s still tasty vegan fare, but not quite how we remembered it from previous visits. The hake and crushed potatoes was excellent and the fish and chips, always a traditional favourite, didn’t disappoint. Coffees and liqueurs for afters were accompanied by panna cotta ( with 6 spoons !!!!!) Sorry MIB- you fed us too well and we’d no room for a dessert each!

Let's begin with the food, it was actually very nice here. It was the price and staff that merits the 3 stars. You are made to feel awkward for not ordering more than what you do. Our bill was over £50 so we didn't exactly scrimp, and this was only lunchtime. Wouldn't rush back.

Great place to start our tour of Belfast, the staff are really friendly, nothing a bother, our waiter gave us some great tips for live music venues later in the evening, try the fish finger sandwich that's very popular with many guests....only thing could do with a better draft beer selection although the available bottle beers were good if a tad expensive.
