I would say that the atmosphere of the restaurant is better than the food overall. The food was nice but nothing special. The portions were really small and I think very expensive. I would advise to review the menu. P.S. cocktails were nice.

Honestly loved it. I ordered Boeuf Bourguignon and it was succulent. I enjoyed the mushrooms, the baby carrots as well as the subtle onion in the stew. The portion was also very generous for the price. However, the mashed potato was leaning too much on the sour side for me.

Sunday evening prior to theatre, so glad this place has opened up again. The ambience is of a French bistro, usual French fare moules, beef bourguignon with mash is VG,, the desserts too crepes gorg, and good portions. Staff friendly and attentive, restaurant well positioned overlooking city Hall. Upstairs opening for mothers day after noon teas, staff tell us they hope to open up upstairs for dinner if all goes well.

It’s opposite the Belfast City Hall, so there is an absolutely lovey view when you sitting in the outdoor area. Good posh and romantic decoration of this restaurant and the service was great. But the food was just average. The chargrilled sirloin steak I had was overcooked, fortunately it was perfectly seasoned.

Cafe Parisen is located in the historic Robinson & Cleaver building in Belfast. Originally a linen warehouse it opened in 1888 which just adds to the wonderful atmosphere when dining. The new menu is fantastic. Contemporary with a French twist. Simple straight forward menu that has something for everyone. So lets take a look at what we chose to have. The tables are adorned by a candle in a wine bottle which I think is a wonderful addition and french vibe to the restaurant. As ours burnt out it was replaced within minutes, that’s attention to detail! Excellent food in a wonderful setting. Full review on my website BakingBar.co.uk

With stunning views of the City Hall, and its chic yet comfortable cosmopolitan ambience, Parisien is the perfect place for gathering with friends and family for a leisurely lunch or memorable evening meal.
We were invited to sample Parisien’s new French-inspired menu with a modern twist, and we were very impressed with the variety of starters, mains, desserts, and sides on offer. The dishes use classically traditional French cooking techniques, and each plate we chose transported us, culinarily speaking, to an authentic Brasserie in France
We began with a couple of delicious cocktails: a gin-based Clover Club, and a non-alcoholic Berry Blast.
To start, the Salt Cod Croquettes were served with a refreshing tomato & green bean salad and a fragrant saffron aioli, and the Celeriac & Truffle Risotto was perfectly al dente, creamy, and liberally sprinkled with Parmesan.
To follow, the Cod Fillet on a mussel & white bean cassoulet with confit fennel and samphire was beautifully moist and flaky, and the Roast Chicken Supreme served with Jerusalem artichokes, crushed potatoes, and a scattering of tangy pickled hazelnuts, was coated in a rich cep velouté.
And although we were utterly replete, what French meal would be complete without a Crème Brûlée, and Parisien’s traditional dessert is topped with a sharp raspberry sorbet perfectly complementing the creamy confection hidden beneath a crisp, sugary shell- sublime!
All finished off with an Espresso Martini, this was an excellent way to spend a leisurely lunchtime right in the heart of Belfast.

Some of the most attentive service I've ever received. We never had to lift a finger, friendly, personable, down to earth. Just fabulous all round. The food was cooked to perfection, the lamb was wonderfully tender and succulent. I'll definitely be recommending this to anyone who will listen.
R.
The food was lovely and tasty. The staff is so friendly and considerate. They cater to food intolerances. I will definitely visit again.
J. M.
Attentive staff, beautiful food relaxing location and the most unique and fun wedding venue in Belfast. Thank you for a fantastic day.
T. C.
Fabtastic spot overlooking the city hall in the centre of belfast, food and wine were very nice, reasonably priced for the location and decent varied menu.
Staff superb and welcoming, worth a visit and in nice weather the balcony looking onto the city hall offers fresh air and great views.
C. D.
Really recommend the Afternoon Tea. Food is delicious and the staff are so friendly. Lovely atmosphere and feels quite fancy (but reasonably priced).
D.
Nice bar over looking the city hall. Staff very friendly. Haven’t eaten here yet but good place for drinks and a catch up
I. K.
Beautiful restaurant, amazing view, lovely staff and great service, but average food.
A. S.
Beautiful restaurant , great city centre location, impeccable service and the food was flawless! Loved it and will definitely eat there again when I am in Belfast
C. O.
Went for Afternoon tea, it was lovely and very reasonable. If you're a picky eater you may struggle but the servers were amazing, and very helpful so I'm sure they'd be able to help! Gorgeous views and lovely vibe
J. R.
I absolutely adore this place ! Food is gorgeous and the staff are really welcoming and friendly
D. B.
Great view and amazing food. A little bit of France in the heart of Belfast.
a. h.
Food first class + service excellent. Can't wait to visit again.
M. L.
This was a family visit for a birthday treat. 2 adults and 3 children. Eldest child had a an adult vegetarian main course which looked and tasted fantastic. Steak was divine. Large children portions but disappointed they were not dressed or came with any vegetables. Simply were chicken breast and skinny fries. Decided the adults would share the baked camberet and pear starter but children all dug in too as it was so delicious. So 1 sharing starter, 3 adult mains, 2 children mains, 1 wine and bill around £100. Portion sizing for the adults was a little on the small side. Ate upstairs with a beautigul view of Belfast city hall. This was our 2nd visit. Would return for special occasions
J.
Classy, excellent service & delicious food - will definitely be back! 👌
A. D.
Very nice crepe and ice cream. Lovely atmosphere with great view of City Hall. Affordable too!
J. G.
Lovely and luxury place. Nice hot chocolate with nice price.
D. B.
Fantastic food. Sat out on balcony having dinner in the summer evening. Staff where pleasant. Live music while we ate.
E. B.
Nom nom nom. Tempted to give this place one star 🌟 so no one else will want to go to this fantastic café, and I can keep it all to myself ☺️. Super French style café with crepes and patisserie. Lovely rich roast coffee, comfortable surroundings and extremely pleasant and attentive staff.
A.
My husband and I visited here for the first time last night. We had a delicious 3 course meal (although the menu was limited) in a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The views of City Hall are fabulous. Overall a fantastic dining experience. However, the real gem was our waitress Olivia who was attentive, efficient, warm and welcoming. Thank you so
much!
G. L.
Lovely food, fantastic location, beautiful interior with excellent staff.
I almost felt I was in Paris.
S. C.
Excellent meal at cafe parisien. Service and food brilliant. Will be back.
M. L.
Nice place with a certain je ne sais quoi... for next time there is an outdoor balcony upper level looks onto city hall.
R. C.
Good food. Lovely place on balcony looking over Belfast. slow service was the only complaint
L. S.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere!
Very lovely restaurant with views of city hall in the background.
Service was very friendly and attentive even when it got busy.
Foot was delicious, steak cooked just right.
They have a great selection of cocktails and all are amazing.
Don't forget to have dessert!
It was a memorable experience.
C. N. C.
Came here for dinner last night. Food was delicious but service was very slow. We waited a long time to order main course and we were never once asked if we would like another drink. We were given no napkins either. This being said, the younger waiting staff were very pleasant, especially the tall blonde boy who served us on the balcony and apologised for the delays. I personally will not be back, it’s just such a shame as the restaurant is in a great location with lovely views of the City Hall.
A. P.
Great staff and service, in excellent city centre location.
D. L.
Loved our lunch and drinks great food and fab staff 😀❤
T. S.
My time spent there was pleasant. The food did not wow me (we had soups and a kids meal at our table), but the staff were friendly and accommodating. A lovely decorated space but the atmosphere was a bit dry with no background music
J. D.
Great food, perfect atmosphere
S. J. G.
Amazing views of City Hall, lovely ambience , especially upstairs. My family & I had a beautiful 3 course meal this evening & we could not fault it, best steak I've had in a while. Lovely staff & lovely service, can't wait to return.
C. B.
Great location and views - especially on a sunny day! Delicious food too!
C. C.
Great atmosphere, staff were superb and couldn't have been more helpful.. great menu for food which is really nice and cocktails aren't bad either. Would gift recommend to everyone to go here, especially a drink or food on a good day to the terrace.
L. S.
I love everything about this place, the staff, the service and thee best afternoon tea
E. R.
Had dinner here a few months ago. Loved the inside - there's a beautiful view of the City Hall (and a terrace to use in summer time!) and the interior is decadent and makes for a really special occasion. The food was lovely - I prefer quality over quantity, and this restaurant hit the spot in that respect. Good French dishes done well, particularly the dauphinoise.
A. R.
Just popped in for a coffee and scone at about 11 and it truly was the best scone we've had...ever! Raspberry and white choc with no bitter aftertaste you often get. Homemade on the premises! The menus for dinner etc look great! Staff are very friendly and efficient.
i. q.
Really enjoyed my lunch there, very nice atmosphere and the girl who was serving us was friendly polite and always smiling.
The crèpes I had on my lunch was nicely done, very delicious, only disappointment was the price for the desserts a bit too expensive.
Overall lovely restaurant with a nice view and great quality of food.
J. K.
Handy location opposite the City Hall in Belfast. Had a lovely big circular table with bay window for 8 and would have seated more. Expensive wine list but good food. Excellent staff.
R. C.
We just had our daughters wedding reception here on 27 December. Words could not describe our experience. Georgie and her team were beyond excellent. The service, food and ambience was first class and any feedback from our quests was 5*. Big thankyou to Cafe Parisien for making Cortney's special day, extra special.
L. M.
We had afternoon tea, the sandwiches and soup was lovely. The cakes were average, we found an unknown substance on our plate (which looked a lot like dried snot) the lady replaced the cakes and did apologise. The service was ok, I'd say 3.5 stars not quite 4.
S. H.
First time here. Had a lovely Sunday brunch. Staff were friendly and enthusiastic. We ordered a fry and a croque madame. High quality, tasty food, and the presentation of both the food and drinks was immaculate.
F. M.
Location and food very good but service extremely slow. Staff are very friendly but once we were seated they disappeared. Husband had to ask for desert menu and for table to be cleared. Unacceptable for customers having to chase staff for attention etc... Not one person asked how our food was or if we needed anything once we eventually got our food
I. f.
Its a beautiful place. warm and cozy. the staffs are lovely. however, me and friends didnt really enjoy the food and quite expensive compared to other restaurants we went to.
D. V.
Coffee shop and french restaurant. Very simple menu yet very tasty and presented well. Lunch menu mains cost between £18 -£25. Would recommend booking in advance so you can get a table at 1st floor balcony overlooking the city hall.
A. C.
Lovely views of the Christmas market and dinner was fab.
a. m.
The location is very good, awesome view to the city hall building. The facilities aver very nice and clean. The staff was amazing. The food was very nice as well. May be a bit pricey but worth it. Overall 5*
E. K.
Overall really nice and friendly place to go either in your lunch break or for dinner. The only thing I personally didn't like that much was the milk in the jar on the table which i wasn't sure whether it was fresh or not as it was on the table alongside used coffee mugs which were just about to be removed to make space for us. We were told by the slightly annoyed waitress that the milk was fresh therefore everything was good. I would probably serve milk to each individual customer rather than having it on the table in an open jar not knowing how old the milk is or who used it before but this is just my personal opinion.
J. K.
Was in this place twice in a week. The first time I was downstairs and had the set menu and the food was excellent. I brought my wife there and we sat upstairs. The food was not as good and I found it much more expensive.
C. C.
Lovely afternoon sitting chilling in Cafe Parisienne with a carafe of wine watching world go by. Staff so nice and really unobtrusive. Felt comfortable as a lone female enjoying a glass of wine. Would definitely return. XX
K. M.
Came here with my husband and our baby girl after she got registered at City Hall. Had the Monte cristo sandwich, it was delicious and really hit the spot! Good customer service, would like to try some of the cocktails next time.
M. D.
Great setting. Cosy stylish dining rooms. Very attentive staff. Food delicious and well priced. Background music perfect volume to talk over easily. Recommended
E. R.
Great staff n delicious coffee and food
D. d.
Beautiful place and view of city hall. French menu choice. Duck confit starter very good. Steak main course not so good, very chewy for a med to rare steak chips awful. Followed by creme brulle which was more like a mouse very sickly. Wouldnt recommend food.
Z. A.
Fantastic service, great atmosphere and excellent food. Can't fault it, its a nice place if you're treating yourself.
C. G.
Excellent restaurant , 4 of us ate , all.very pleased with the food , service and ambiance- scallops were excellent done with shaved mushrooms & flakes of smoked bacon and Bouillabaisse authentic. Will definitely go back ..... oh yes , great views of the city hall lit up at night
J. M.
I truly loved this experience. From the greeting at the top of the stairs to the attention of the staff. Extremely polite and friendly. Too top it off the food was perfect . Wonderful delight , thank you.
G. C.
Good service lovely decor. Starter had overdone cauliflower main had lamb that was a bit too fatty but overall very good. There where very few others in on a Friday night not sure why. I would definitely go again.
R. G.
Great spot. Good atmosphere. Just don't get the seafood stew....it's tiny and isn't stew. All the other food on the menu looked good though
A. C.
I love this place. Before five pm it is a creperie. My favourite crepe is the belle Helene. It consists of poached pears and peaches. It is garnished with toasted almonds. I usually have it with a hot chocolate which is very rich and creamy. Crepes on the ground floor. Full restaurant on the first floor. Just across the road from city hall. Highly recommended by me.
F. S.
A hidden gem
Staff were fantastic, friendly but unitrusive
Building beautiful with great views
Really relaxing atmosphere
Afternoon Tea was delicious, great selection of food and reasonably priced.
We will go again 💚
A. K.
Friendly staff, good location, nice decor and good food.
D. D.
Food was ok but substantial. Bouillabaisse too salty, not rich at all, lacked depth £18 but it plenty of salmon, cod, muscles and a whole prawn... Roast cod excellent. Special gins eg shortcross 35ml £9.95... this is Belfast not the City of London... Way overpriced. Staff were good.
S. B.
Food was superb. We were here for a special occasion and the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed.
I. m.
Food was lovely, fresh and well presented.Good vibe and great music in the background. Staff were very nice and efficient..
M. F.
Great food and views. Service was a bit slow. Also they need more toilets. You queue for 10 minutes because of the unisex toilets
N. M.
Great staff and great location. Food was excellent and very accommodating of dietary requirements. Will definitely be back.
A. K.

The location, view and vinue itself were amazing, however I was quite disappointed when it came to dining. I'm going to give them the benefit of doubt though and rate them 4 stars..
D. D.
Really lovely place, food excellent. Great cocktails but be prepared to spend a little extra as it is quite expensive. Staff very friendly.
J. C.
Goats cheese Bon bons starter & hake main where delicious. I'd definitely reccomend it, we Sat on the balcony, weather was good. Friendly helpful staff.
S.
A little expensive but worth it for a treat. Terrace seats on a hot day are really good, they need to be booked in advance though because they're suoght after when the sun is out
j. r.

Just back from visiting our daughter at University. Been to cafe north every time we have visited as we always stay at a hotel nearby. Great food and service would not go anywhere else. Thanks cafe north x
F. R.
Very expensive food and drinks. The crepes are ok and I think there is a lot better coffee around, especially for the prices. The service is in point and the cafe is clean and elegant.

Très chic! Lovely food and ambiance. Have 2 set menus. Reasonably priced.
S. A.
Beautiful surroundings, great service. A little more variety on the menu would have earned a fifth star
E. T.
Vegetarian food was a very small portion and quite bland. I just don't know why chefs can't handle a meal with no meat sometimes...
b. c.
Good food 🍲 but requires more gluten free & dairy free options.. Excellent location opposite Belfast City Hall..
C. M.
Nice atmosphere and right in front of the city hall! Extraordinary way to serve coffee and it was really delicious!
