Booked here as we were attending a concert in the SSE and wanted somewhere within walking distance. Staff friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine. Starters arrived promptly and were delicious. Both went for main courses of fish and it was cooked to perfection. I would recommend the addition of a side dish if you prefer a more filling meal. Have recommended to family and friends.

Superb dining and excellent service. I dined outside with 2 of my sisters on a fine Friday lunchtime and the quality and experience was exceptional. Mouthwatering Monkfish, perfectly cooked scallops + outstanding desserts - presented as artistic masterpieces but totally delectable We are all set to return with friends, family and our other sister who missed out.

Went here after doing the hydrobikes in the water. Staff were incredible so accommodating and polite and gave us great suggestions and where to go after as we came to Belfast on holiday. Food was lovely and fresh would definitely return. We both had chicken wings and chips which were very tasty and inexpensive.

Always loved Tedfords. Great food and service. Last time I went however for my wife's birthday, the steak was just OK. A bit tough, seer was substandard. For the price point, that's not good enough. Redeeming points were flavour was good. Chicken spring roll starter was fantastic. Service was OK. Not bad not good. Quite slow. Place has dipped in quality since last time (pre covid). Would like to see a return to form. Would be a shame to leave it like that.

Beautiful meal! Steak was (according to the others!) the nicest they’ve had in Belfast. The turkey and ham were so tasty. The service was brilliant and the staff could not have been more helpful. Was our first time visiting and will definitely be back!

At the beginning I thought it's gonna be a really expensive place, because it looks so fancy, but the prices are very good and the quality of the food is excellent. I tried the lamb and the vanilla ice cream sandwich with chocolate for dessert and I have to say that I highly recommend it. For about 15£ we were extremely full.

Overpriced with average food. If you are lucky you may get a gem of a dish. But who wants to pay for a bit of luck. We were there at 6pm. Some dishes were unavailable (was told they were popular during the day and ingredients no longer available.) Lacking atmosphere and our waiter was either on the spectrum or very unhappy! Service was slow. With repeated requests needed for drinks and service.

Great place for a bite pre or post show at the Waterfront. Excellent service and a menu that covers all bases. While traditionally a fish/seafood restaurant - Tedford's also delivers some wonderful local beef and lamb. The Mourne Lamb Rump with lamb ragu, potato gnocchi, smoked black pudding, black garlic and kale was one of the nicest plates of food I've eaten in a long time. Very filling with no side and utterly delicious. The Dover Sole - on the bone - with prawn, garlic & caper butter, crushed local potatoes, and an abundance of samphire looked beautiful and tasted delicious (as I was reliably informed). Sadly timetables precluded staying for a dessert but the whole experience was very satisfactory indeed. Highly recommend

The food here is very good n tasty. Went here for the first time for a friend's birthday celebration and when we had the starters they were absolutely amazing I loved the bouguette and butternut squash soup. The main course meal was lovely as well. Nice ambience and polite staff. If you're in Belfast then this place is a must go!!

Enjoyed birthday meal here last Saturday. Two issues slightly let it down. The first was they ran out of steak which is a bit odd considering we were there at 7pm on a Saturday evening. Also our food server was dull as dish water and he made no effort, borderlining on rude. Perhaps he was having a bad day. The food however, was fabulous and our drinks waitress was very friendly and lovely so made up for the other issues.

Took three work colleagues for a Christmas lunch yesterday, everything was perfect - the food, the service, the location and the atmosphere. On arrival, we were greeted with drinks and also a hot baguette & delicious humus to share. The food was of exquisite quality, we had the duck spring rolls, scallops, turkey & ham, salmon and lamb and everyone cleared their plate. It was familiar food but with the highest quality produce and a fine dining twist with different purees and sauces to accompany. Service was attentive without being overbearing, all of my guests are still raving about the food the day after and we will all be back again after lockdown.

Great service, chilled atmosphere and quality food! I brought a few colleagues from work and everyone enjoyed their meal and had a nice time. Myself and my patner came up from Dublin a few weeks ago, got a last minute booking in Tedfords and we could not have been happier! The service and food were fantastic. Our waiter was really friendly and the restaurant overall was very well set up to accommodate the COVID guidelines. 11 out of 10 for us!

Fabulous meal in Tedfords this evening. Would highly recommend. Staff were brilliant but the one point that shone through for me was that when the waitress came out with the food she didn't have to ask who was having which meal - she just set them down in front of us. This restaurant is new since my last visit to Belfast. My understanding is that the restaurant opened last July [2015]. In general I have found restaurants in Belfast City Centre to be overpriced and disappointing compared to equivalent restaurants in Dublin, Cork or Limerick. The restaurants in the Republic do have a bit of an advantage in that VAT is only 9% compared to 20% in the UK. My visit to Tedfords Kitchen in Lanyon Quay cost much more than I had planned to spend but it was in no way disappointing. To be honest, I was impressed and I plan to visit the next time I am in Belfast. Forgot to mention that I had had an excellent steak.

As for the price, I would say that it is in the average of Belfast. For all these reasons I recommend it. It is good to make a reservation because it usually has people and here in Belfast they are reserved to go to few places. (Original) Bien restaurante para comer. Lo he visitado dos veces ya y ambas me ha gustado. Yo pedí un pescado ahumado hecho en cerveza y la verdad que estaba para chuparse los dedos.
