Went for lunch and had an absolutely lovely experience all round. The lunch menu offered a good choice of dishes & well priced. Our lunch was beautifully presented & full of flavour ... delicious. Was there with a group of friends on a recent Sunday afternoon. Food was lovely, nice surroundings and the majority of the staff pleasand and helpful. I say majority because one young barman had no manners, unpleasant and just looked like he didn't want to be there ......maybe a change of employment might put a smile on his face!

We rocked in on Saturday 5th March, 12 of us, unannounced and for a drink ordered and asked for a platter of sandwiches. We were just calling in after attending my mum's cremation, so it was spur of the moment. The waiter said sandwiches were no problem, unfortunately the kitchen said different and insisted we ordered from the menu. As we only wanted a snack it was disappointing, but we just went for a selection of sides which was a great call! The onion rings were amazing! Coupled with a selection of fries and garlic bread, it was perfect for us! Well be back for the onion rings again soon! Jim

We arrived and were escorted to bar style high seats and table, which I wasn’t too happy about as the rest of the diners were at traditional tables. During our time there I noticed the staff attempt to sit four more parties at the the high tables and each refused. Seemingly they try to sit everyone at these two tables and only seat you in the normal tables if you complain which most do. Food was nice after a bit of a wait. For the price I’d have expected not to sit on a bar stool.

Food here is really good. I went for the salt and chilli squid, lovely, delicate. Others went for haddock and chips, which didnt look big but was apparently lovely as well and more than enough. Given this was the last week of Gov sponsored food offer we also tried dessert. I had the pavlova though nice 4 raspberries isnt what you might call 'bursting.' Staff very friendly and attentive but intrusive. Recomend a visit only 4 stars due to lack of fruit.

I went for my first meal out here last night since lockdown has eased. Food is incredible, the staff are just wonderful and very attentive. Even though we had to eat outside, we were in their lovely courtyard and toastie warm under the heaters. I will be back again.

Hadn't been to this establishment in years and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has now been moved downstairs and is modern and quite large. The menu is not huge but covers most things from sumptuous steak, to beautifully prepared vegetarian dishes. The service was excellent. I skipped starters and got tucked into a beautiful ribeye steak, with pepper sauce and chips. I followed this with mixed fruit cheesecake and fresh cream. Them coffee. We were last to leave the restaurant but were not rushed at any time and the bill was reasonable.

I had the chicken curry which was great (but had to ask twice for the missing mango chutney unfortunately!). However, there were good covid-safety measures in place and tables were well spread out. I feel it’s a little overpriced for the portion size but the atmosphere makes up for it.

Restaurant had really friendly staff, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. The outdoor areas are sheltered from the rain and have heaters in case it gets a bit cooler. Everywhere was spotless and clean. Would recommend highly for a family meal, or even a meal for two. The prices are reasonable. The bar area can be a little loud if there is an event or musician in, but that does not take away from it really. Again, the staff were friendly and everything was reasonably priced. Outside smoking area is covered and again has heaters if it gets a bit cooler.

1st time here. Started well waitress very pleasant. Once food came out then problems started. Cod dish clearly off , burger almost raw. charged for 4 pints of Guinness when only just got 3,,the last one had to be asked for a few times. Another reason for our visit was that we had a disabled person in our party. Access was good but after using the disabled toilet we were concerned about the cleanliness of the room. Not good.

Had a meal here last night and have to say we were very disappointed! My husband had chicken burger and I had the beef and chilli noodles. The burger was very dry and after 2 mouth fulls of my beef and noodles I had to leave it, it was awful! As we were with people we had just met we didn't want to make a fuss. I would have thought when the waiter was clearing the plates and saw an untouched dish should have ask if everything was OK, he just cleared the table without a word and walked of. So all in all we did not enjoy our experience in the four winds! Latest! My husband and son have both been ill from during the night!

Great first impression of the whole set up, fantastic place to watch sport. Very fun and interactive quiz night 1 of the best I've been too. Beautiful new bar. Lovely atmosphere. Bit slow on service. The staff seem to just huddle at the door chatting. Mitigation. A lot of them are new to the game. Been here several times but stand outs were New Years Eve 2018, where the meal was excellent, service great for such a busy night, entertainment standard NYE mix, and afterwards no problem getting a taxi home. Great night. And the family fun day in August, with the eating challenges (including hot wings with rockadoodle hot sauce) car park bar, kids entertainment and music. Also good pub for sport with many screens easily seen by all.

Ate downstairs where I've since been told it's not as nice. Food was ok - I had one of the specials, which was nice, if a touch basic. My father had the pulled pork which was a little dry. We had trouble attracting the waiters attention when we wanted refills or to pay the bill, but all in all it wasn't too bad.

The Four Winds is within walking distance from me and was always great for a family meal out and for a social night out as a couple or with friends, especially Saturday night dancing. We visited regularly and looked forward to a good eating experience and entertainment. Unfortunately now the menu is not as good as it was prior to the refurbishment and the music in the Colina bar finishes on a Saturday night at 9pm!! As an older person (ie over 40 with a family living within the vicinity) I like to eat out locally, if possible, socialise in comfortable surroundings with friendly staff and a good range of dishes to choose from the main menu. I was in the Four Winds this evening and had a good meal I enjoyed, but with limited choice on the menu. I enjoyed the vocalist but he finished too early. The place was practically empty by 10.30pm. I intended staying out for a few drinks until last orders but I left early (at 10.50) because there was no sense staying as it was so quiet. A lot of money has been invested in this establishment and with the right promotion/marketing and with good music on Fri/Sat nights with space for dancing it could be a goldmine. A beautiful place in a prime location. Please please listen to feedback and bring the Four Winds back to life with music and dance for the golden oldies..... NOT DEAD YET!

Service was decent. Steak sandwich was ok. The steak looked and smelt the part but the excessive mayo killed all the flavours. It was ok, but no mayo and just letting the steak and pepper sauce flavours do the talking would have been great.

A great local pub with a brilliant selection of beers, cocktails and wines. They also have a brilliant outdoor area that's buzzing in the summer, and the restruants are top-notch too! Give it a go for a leisurely weekend lunch and you'll not be disappointed! 🍻 🍷 🍔

Place used to be a little slow but had a massive revamp carried out a while ago. Now the food is very good, the downstairs bar is nicely styled with booths available, the drinks variety is good and the staff are very courteous.

Love the grill upstairs, steaks amazing. Had saved up points on my loyalty card for a meal for myself and my husband so went last week and had a really bad experience. The fillet steak was smaller and I asked for my steak well done and it was pink! Also none of the lovely wee onions on the top and no shallots in the shallot and beef jus. Went to pay with my points and was told I couldn't as they had new tills in, so disappointing I had to pay. I will have to think about coming back and a lot of my friends say the same. Fourwinds you are slipping!!

They didn't have one but a nice lady who worked their called Paula or Pauline let me use he personal mobile. Very helpful staff. Went out of their way to help me. They even offered to push my car if I needed it. Good staff, good customer service, friendly and helpful.
