Great restaurant in every respect. The food is consistently excellent and portions are not small - no speck of meat on a large white plate here! The staff are friendly, attentive, and efficient - also a good laugh. Relaxed atmosphere makes for a more enjoyable dining experience. I've never been disappointed by any of my visits. The menu changes regularly with a few staples carrying on month by month. Cannot fault it.

The food was very good. The duck appetizer was the best! Beef tartar was number 2, prawns number 3, and risotto was 4 as it was a bit watery and mushy. My favorite main dish was the sea bass, number 2 would be the beef cheek, number 3 pork belly. For dessert the banana desert was number 1, number 2 would be the toffee pudding, and number 3 was creme brulee. Though the banana and tofee deserts were very close.

Went here for lunch, immediately felt like a hipster paradise. Its an old building that has been converted into a restaurant and there were plants everywhere that I Iove. Staff is super friendly and attentive. We ordered mushrooms and cheese croquettes for starter. Cheese croquettes were delicious - definitely worth trying. Mushrooms were breaded and deep fried, I'm not a fan of over fried food but for those who love fried food - it was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. For main course we tried veggie option and seabass. Both were good dishes. Slightly over priced for the food but didn't mind as had a pleasant experience.

Oh soooo good. Atmosphere good, staff exemplary. Food to die for. Either three or two course special mix and match or ala carte. The ginger squid starter along with the smoked salmon were nicely done and complemented with nice tasty dips/sauces. The main we shared was a flavourful sea bass with a nice orzo. That left barely enough room for us to share a wonderful toffee pudding. Accompanied by americano and cappuccino we could not have been happier. Thanks to all for a well rounded meal with obvious attention to detail.

Excellent place for dining out. Relaxed setting with open kitchen where you can see the kitchen in full action. Had the raw beef salad which had a surprising oriental taste with the ginger and soy sauce seasoning. Roast hake and duck leg were also nicely cooked and packed with flavours. Fully recommended!

Genuinely lovely people! The desserts were fabulous! I’m not sure what we got but everything was incredible. I got the raspberry compote crepe brûlée and I keep dreaming about it. My husband got the banana tarte Tatin and he said he would wait 1 hour for it. Definitely check this place out—if not for the nice staff, then the delicious food!

Absolutely excellent experience at Ginger Bistro. The menu is wonderful, lots of great choices. I had the risotto to start and then the seabass both of which were delicious. Beautiful atmosphere - went there for a romantic meal. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Answered all questions on the menu with knowledge. The toilets were spotless and well appointed. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful glassware....cut crystal glasses which I loved! The staff explained the COVID policy of one-use menus (great idea!) and gave us the appropriate time to make our choices off them. The food was OUTSTANDING! We had the Mussels and their famous Squid starters - best we'd had in a long time. We both then had the Seabass Fillet for our main course.... OMG! I am still thinking about how good it tasted! The hazelnut crispy topping was outstanding! My better half had the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert (which he enjoyed) , while I opted for the Hazelnut Meringues. I have to say this is where I was just a little disappointed. The meringue was obviously a shop bought meringue nest and while the hazelnut flavoured chocolate mousse was lovely, I just felt it was let down by the meringue. Overall a strong 9/10 and I will be looking to visit again on my next trip to Belfast.

Had seen reviews for this place and thought we would give it a try while in Belfast. What a choice it was! The food was exceptional and the Feathered beef just fell apart when i looked at it! The Mrs had the Belly pork and it was all absolutey divine. All the sraff were brilliant too and Connor is a right laugh. We will defo visit again when in Belfast next.

Myself and 2 others had 2 courses, main and dessert, as well as cocktails and tea. Everything was absolutely perfect. The dinner menu was small but perfectly created with so many tasty options, we all ended up with the chicken and it did not disappoint. Amazingly presented and tasted even better. Desserts were beautiful and tea was tea leaves which is so much better. The cocktails we had were all fab. And service from all staff could not be faulted, so friendly and helpful. Food is absolutely delicious and the service is great. The Creme Brulee was a particular highlight. A really cosy place for a relaxed dinner. The tables are well spaced out and they ensure that people wear masks when walking through the restaurant so you feel comfortable eating there in the current circumstances. Menus are also single use.

We had a great dinner and service at ginger bistro, highly recommended! Staff are great, excellent service ; not too fast, not too slow. Never felt rushed. We had a really great well priced bottle of Chilean red, my husband had the tiger prawns and the fish and I stuck to some ginger bistro classics - onion soup and sirloin with veg. Both excellent. Desserts were also great especially the banana Tarte Tatin! Will definitely be back and would love to try their other bistro on ormeau street!

Great place. Love that it has several different options for vegetarians. The vegetarian sausage roll is absolutely delicious. Staff are great. I went there twice during my stay and both times were an enjoyable experience. Will definitely come back next time I'm in Belfast.

Great place. Lovely decor, nice layout. Tables in bar area and then around back. Went at 5pm. Book in advance. They do walk ins but very popular. Great menu for fish lovers enough choice on theatre and a la carte menus. Vegetarian quite good too. £70 ish for 2x starters, mains, 2 gins, a pint and soft drink. Squid is wonderful.

Staying lovely to this bistro and really wanted to try recent though they were quite booked up Went for the 4.30pm booking and boy was it worth skipping lunch for. Had seabass which was amazing followed by crème brulé. The staff were so friendly, the food was amazing and it was worth traveling from Leicestershire for.

Delicious and great service! I had the squid to start which although looked very pale was really fresh and crisp with two dips. For mains I had the braised and roasted pork belly with butter beans, sweet potato puree and broccoli - outstanding. The pork belly was crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. The presentation was impeccable and there was a lovely view of the sunset on the horizon. Would recommend. It is more expensive than some places in Belfast but it's worth it on a special occasion.

Delicious! Rare beef salad with Japanese onion. Lamb with black pudding/chorizo shepherds pie for main. Rare beef was very tasty and had a kick which I love. Lamb was perfect, melted in my mouth and the black pudding & chorizo was scalding hot and a great take on shepherds pie. Highly recommend!

The best flavoured prawns. This place is always fully booked and for a good reason. We booked a table a day in advance. They are packed until 9pm. The services was great and the food was just awesome. I got prawns for starters and grilled sea bass for mains. Perfect 👌🏼Id return again for sure. !

I had a great meal at the Ginger Bistro. It's a really nice restaurant with a very light and airy feel to it. Good choice for vegetarians (bit that's quite common in Belfast I find). We just had a beer with our meals but the cocktails looked great too and were doing a good trade. Very friendly staff and quick efficient service with tasty (and quite original) food.

One of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure of going to in a long time! With strict restrictions in my home town, it was so resfreshing to dine indoors in this gorgeous restaurant. The staff were so professional and constantly checked in on us to make sure we were okay and whether we needed anything. The food was phenomenal. I ordered the beef for main and it was so soft, I was able to cut into it with just my fork! Every single bite was full of flavour. This is a lovely little place with great staff and a varied menu. My daughter had the squid which was done to perfection and I had sweet potato and coconut soup which was delicious. This was a great surprise. We had been told ahead of time to try this place but I did not think it was going to be as good as it was. We shared an appetizer to start, though we probably should have gotten one each. The main were both cooked go perfection and the wine went well with out meal. Well this was picked because of the ratings & was it good . Yes it was amazing, we had 3 in our group my wife and I travelled down for the meal with my wifes son , menu had enough choice on it for us . Starters first class, I had prawns Main, perfect Lamb Indulgence was sticky toffee pudding. All 100% could not fault anything. Service was spot on very attentive some of the best service in Belfast. My wife and I came to Belfast for our anniversary and while looking for somewhere to eat we came across this place. Walking in it looks so small, we were met with a welcoming reception and was more than happy to find us a table, even though we had no booking. We sat and looked through the menu, it all sounded good, I ordered the French Onion soup and homemade bread to start and then chicken, mushroom puree and pine nuts with cottage pie, sounds like a strange combination but look at the picture. All went down great, especially with the cocktails we ordered, espresso martini and a "Jawbreaker" gin. We would totally recommend this place to eat, and eat well.

I got the Roast Fillet of Hake with Leeks, Celeriac, Horseradish and Crayfish Casserole, which was very tasty. My boyfriend got the 10 Oz Co Antrim Sirloin with Roast Tomato & Peppercorn Cream and Fat Chips also super tasty. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because we were seated at a high table since they were the only tables available, which personally I find slightly uncomfortable. Definitely worth a visit!

Lovely food! We were here in Belfast for a long weekend and went here due to the trip adviser reviews! Have to say one of the best meals both me and my boyfriend have had in a while!
