Saturday night. Last minute decision to go out. No problem getting a table. A little noisy as football team in, after their match. Felt their choice on menu had downsized a bit, but still served tasty food - Starters Prawn cocktail and Breaded Brie followed by mains - Peppered Chicken Stack on mash , Steak Sandwich/ pepper sauce on Ciabatta with Skinny Chips. White wine choice. Staff friendly and attentive.

Just popped in for a couple of cappuccino and a chinwag with an old friend. Service was very friendly and efficient. Cappuccinos were good, served hot and with a smile from the barman. Would definitely return for dinner based on the experience today. Good service always merits a return trip.

Sometimes it has a bit of a social club vibe if you are going with friends for a drink and the ruins the atmosphere. But when I went in for food with my partner. the food was incredible and the service was top 🙂

Really good fish dishes for me as a non meat eater. Sea bass and prawn risotto which chef tweaked for me. Beautifully cooked. Great portion size and reasonably priced.Yes Waiter service super friendly. Nice atmosphere.

Great atmosphere, great cocktails and selection of beers! Took my wife here for a birthday drink and it was so welcoming that we ended up having a few more. Definitely worth visiting! Don't hesitate to ask the bartender for suggestions!

Called in on Thursday the 13th. Immediately impressed bu how attentive the staff where. Steak was Amazing seasoned really well, so we'll I did not use the peppered sauce. Great deal on the Thursday steak night. Well worth the impromptu visit!!

Went to the lonely poet today for brunch , ordered the sweet chilli chicken goujons and the steak sandwich so that me and the other half could have a bit of beef and bird , both meals where superb , tasty and just enough to feel full without feeling bloated , think it deserves a weekly visit 👍👍😄 ps best pepper sauce in Belfast 🙌

Arrived at the Lonely Poet after giving up waiting at the restraunts at Eastpoint, we had been at the omniplex and wanted something to eat. It was busy as you would expect for 8:30 in the evening but we were lucky enough to get a table. The choice of food was what you would expect and offered a good selection of meals at very reasonable prices. As my wife is a plain eater we try to avoid a la carte menus and go for the more traditional offerings. The staff were very friendly and the food arrived around 15-20 mins after it was ordered which allowed us to chat and get settled in. I was very pleased with the quality, portion size and taste of everything we ordered and the food was freshly prepared and hot, all plus points for me. Would I recommend this venue to my friends, the answer is a big YES from my experience and I will be returning there again soon.
