This is a family regular place to eat. The food is beautiful, the staff are always friendly. If there are ever any problems the staff always sort it immediately. And it's a rarity that anything isn't correct.

Everyone as their own taste. I ordered a selection from here. It was food in abundance. Sadly it lacked umpphhh.... It's never bad food it just lacks seasoning, every dish had zero spice. It was a let down. As I ordered so much I could of frozen over half. It wasn't worth it. Always lovely staff, prompt, generous portions. Great naan and puree. Aloo gobi must be fresh or the potato goes black and is vile. OK the rest wasn't 5 star but I ate it. I think maybe I will tackle a hotter curry. Staff are great, foods super fresh, generous, delivery staff are really nice. I'd defo eat from here I just must change my taste. This place ties have my attention....

Starters were fab. Full of flavour. Mains I wasn't impressed with for a curry, as the meat curry was literally boilrdcpieces of meat mixed in to the curry sauce therefore meat didn't have any flavour. Chicken jalfrezi we asked for but got chicken tikka jalfrezi.

We went to Basmati last night 6.30pm,thoroughly enjoyed our meals, still good social distancing which we were very grateful for. Plenty of room to move without coming into close contact with anyone. By far our favourite restaurant, pleasant, helpful staff. Just wish they did Jelabi or Gulab jamon as a sweet, this would complete our satisfaction of the best place around 😋👍

They were very polite but one of the staff kept on walking around like he was lost or something. It was very off putting. The food was absolutely divine except the soup for the starter. They use a cup of soup and it was like water. It was very unpleasant. But apart from that everything else amazing. The food portion is very good and is guaranteed to fill you up. I would recommend the butter chicken. It isn't spicy but it had a divine taste.

We have had take-aways from Basmati loads of times- very pleased with the taste and quality of food each time, tried most of the vegetarian dishes, never been disappointed. We love the poppadoms and mint chutney which they provide complementary with each meal. Staff are always very helpful.

Well. The food is always good here. I have been going here for years. And the service is normally spot on. But I must say last visit was an exception. We booked a table for 5 people at 7.30. We waited an inordinate amount of time to be served. Throughout the meal. We waited over half an hour for our starter then waited an hour for our main after the starters had been cleared. Very disappointing. In fact by the time the food had come a couple of us had gone past the point of hunger and didn't enjoy the meal. We did make representation to the staff but no reduction in the bill was made. With that in mind we will be looking for another venue as we expected better treatment as long term, repeat customers.

We had a delivery to the Holiday Inn Great Barr, and it was absolutely fantastic. We had been to Villa Park for the Liverpool game, and were knackered and it was raining, otherwise we would have gone to the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, delivered before expected and was spot on. I rang them to compliment the chef😋😋

I ordered the chicken curry plate and hubby had the lamb curry plate. When I asked about the heat level the server accurately told me that the have a mild version as their starting point but chef could make it more spicy if I liked. I have a rule when eating at a new place to go mild to see if my version of mild was theirs too. Happy to report it was.

Right so, the food is so under seasoned & the naan bread was burnt, however service was quite good as everything came in one go and we didn’t have to wait long for all our food. The drinks were quite nice. Criticism will have to be that the space is very small for bigger groups and when the food comes it’s problematic & also the food needs more seasoning. Not going to lie I've had much better curries. With more flavour. I had a chicken balti with rice and nann bread. I had to add salt and pepper to it because I felt it was lacking in spice and flavour. It was okay like I would personally go out of my way to eat here. The staff are polite and helpful had a cute selection of ice creams for kids . I just think it's abit pricey considering the over all taste compared to what have from Azims in lozells : ) it's amazing and worth every penny.

Just had a meal here as was staying at the Premier Inn next door for work. Fabulous food! A cut above the usual stuff you eat when you are staying in motorway hotels for business. And lovely warm friendly service. Naan breads were really fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.

I've used the restaurant on and off for easily 20 years, but stopped about two years back. Popped in to see if my old favourites were still as good. My favourite curry ever is Methi gosht and the Basmati always served the best I ever tried. Thick dark sauce, not too much methi not too little either. Big chunks of lamb. I also recommend the Jeera chicken, a lighter dish with a refreshing taste of cumin. The whole dining experience is perfect, with pleasant staff and a nice decor. Probably the best restaurant I've tried locally.
