K. R.Was lovely couldn't fault it. Staff could probably be a bit more cheery but they was pleasant enough. Other than that it was lovely, lovely food, lovely atmosphere was pleasant to be there and will definitely be going back 😀

Food was amazing. I've been eyeing up the dirty double combo for a while now and it impressed. It came out as pictured with a huge quantity of meat inside and the rib meat falling off the bone also.
My only nit pick would be this... At the unlimited drinks machine, I believe there should be some sanitiser stationed next to the machine for after you've finished touching to select your drink.

Food was hot and tasty.
They had no chicken but the good thing was we was told on arrival before being seated.
Football was on but it didn't disrupt our meal as the bar area is separate.

From the welcome to the servers, to the food preparation and quality, the Harvester really put itself on the map for me today as an outstanding restaurant with superb customer delivery experience.
After working in the hospitality trade I am always nice to staff who work so hard, especially the waiting staff as that was what I did.
The food was cooked to perfection and portion size if what I had was both a challenge but heartily welcomed.
A great menu choice left me spoilt for ideas, however I had an urge for ribs and so I chose that and it just happened to come with the biggest burger I have ever tried.
The desert menu also was the hero of the night offering little tasters of all they offered, and followed by coffee ☕ after, just made this whole experience amazing.
Near to the motorway and not too far from town it is worth the visit, but as I stayed at the premiere Inn, this was just perfect.
No hassle, great food at a great price delivered by great staff.
As a tired customer from long driving theh really made my night and I reccomend this venue 100% and will be coming again.
T. S.Friendly staff and some staff and customers following Covid-19 procedures. Good choice of variety of food for omnivore, vegetarian and vegan including a good choice on beers, spirits and soft drinks. However when we visited, the unlimited refill machine was not working, some of the items we ordered were not available due to issues in the kitchen. We should have got a refill on drink spilled and possible discount due to some foods not being available maybe. Otherwise it was a good night out
P. K.Nice restaurant near the motorway. The staff was way too busy and took a long time to take our orders and so the delivery of food. But the staff was very polite and friendly. Food was good, big portion size.

However, two little things about the salad bar frustrate me:
1. Tiny salad bowls, which is fine for those taking it as a side dish with main meal, but staff always pull a face when I ask for a large bowl or a plate to eat off when I order the salad as my main meal.
2. There's never any protein on the salad bar. I appreciate harvester has reduced it's salad portfolio due to covid but a balanced salad needs protein. Take off the pineapple and pop in a mixed bean salad.
R. F.Lovely Sunday lunch. Service was great and the food was served quick and tasty. The only fault I could pick is that the food menus were filthy. One was unopenable it was so sticky. Other than that, it was great!

We reserved a table for five guests the other night and we were served by Lexi. Lexi was incredibly professional, polite, friendly, helpful and she made the experience an all-round pleasant one. She went the extra mile in helping us arrange a surprise and answering any questions we had.
Lexi has excellent soft skills and engaged very well with us and the rest of the customers (I could see/hear her looking after other nearby customers too) and she really made this a memorable experience. It was a pleasure to dine here the other night and to have met Lexi. Thank you Lexi and I wish you all the best!

A.The food the salad in particular was nice. The main meals were a little cold and the 1st waitress. I think the manager wasn't clued up about my discount quering whether we could use it or not after ordering?!
We had ordered alot so not to be able to use the 50%off on mains was worrying! It put a downer on the meal. What would have been £80 was around £50 with drinks! All in all decent portions and the salad made us.all full

M. P.Being in the area came here with the family for breakfast. Was surprisingly not busy. Nice location and secure parking. The venue itself is nice with enough room. Getting the morning there wasn't many staff on, but in my own opinion I think the staff ratio to customers wasn't right. Find that we waited a while I found that we were approaching staff moreso for different things.
Despite that the food was on point and well done. Got my tummy filled to the brim. My wife who is vegetarian had the vegan breakfast. It wasn't too bad but having houmous on a muffin isn't quite a breakfast thing and she didn't like that part of it.

O. A.We were a group of 12 (7 adults and 5 children from 5 to 12y). We booked a table in advance and when arrived were given a nice pre arranged spot.
Restaurant staff was very nice and welcoming. Waitress was very patient even though it took a while for the whole of our group to make an order.
Food was average. I enjoyed my dirty burger. My wife wanted medium stake, but was given well done, quite dry and bland, so we refused it. All together we booked something different from the menu and all of us agreed the food was at 3+ or 4. Salad bar on the other hand was absolute winner. All fresh and tasty. Freshly baked buns were so good I would eat them everyday.
Overall we would recommend everyone to give it a try.

A. T.We booked a table although it was not busy. Server took our drinks which arrived in good time. Lexi came and took our order and she was lovely and coped very well with my grandsons picky requests , sadly the kitchen did not get his food right. The covid precautions were adequate. Lexi was on the ball collecting the plates and again was very pleasant, my grandson had dessert and she was again happy to accommodate his needs. Over all we had a very good meal and left a tip of £5 for her.

B. A.Booked for a meal tonight - our first visit to this harvester, and got there a bit early. No trouble, got seated straight away, everything was explained on how salad bar would work. Our waitress Karen was amazing, she took my 9 year old daughters order and really took the time out to chat to her. Wished her a happy birthday and brought her an extra surprise with her dessert. Amazing service, Karen is a credit to the Beacon Harvester. Bar staff really helpful too, sorting us out with some change for my daughter to get a toy out of the machine. Really helpful, Friendly staff, lovely place. Will definitely be visiting again!
M. H.Twenty of us went for my father's 77 birthday. Really enjoyed it, good food, big portion's and very friendly and helpful staff. We went on a Monday evening and it wasn't too busy. Plenty of tables available. Staff now serve you at the salad bar and it's no longer self service, which is a lot better in my opinion.

My only moan if you can call it a moan was the lack of salad ingredients I enjoy such as pineapple and bacon bits. Lack of choice on bread rolls.

P.Went here for food on NYE, despite the place being obviously very busy and the waitresses being run off their feet the service was second to none, very attentive without being overly intrusive. The parking is free as long as you input your registration number by the front desk. The salad bar at Harvesters are always great and thus is no different. The main meals are filling and are reasonably priced. You can get cheaper pub grub but not to the same quality as here. Again well done on the great service.

Just purchased 2 of their house sauces as well!

H.our nearest harvester and was a treat to visit not so long back but is going downhill, untidy and worn, wouldn't swap veg item as advertised on menu, sweet potato fries limp and cool, sticky jerk coating on the ribs was burnt on to a crisp and they weren't very spicy or hot and the kids eat for £1 isn't available if you order off "the card" which we weren't told on entry, very sad. Very sorry to say we went to the local witherspoons the next week and didn't have great expectations for their cheap food but it was delivered very quickly and was hot and delicious!

Have been a bit annoyed by the staff having to ask if you want large or small fries / chips, not their fault but anything to try to get you to spend more.
They need more than one drinks refill station it can be quite a wait if it is busy.
Toilets are looking old, a couple of taps faulty, bit smelly but by no means the worst I have been in...
The children enjoy coming here as they can choose their own salad and drinks, quite a good choice on the kids menu too.
T. P.Happy warm welcome. Ordered drinks and only brought to table after salad bar eaten and mains bright to table. Then we asked where were are our drinks. Fish batter soft and floppy. No check back given at the table or the one next to us. It was quiet so no excuse. Happy staff but they need to be more attentive.

w.This place could have the wow factor (if they werent overcharging for drinks and made sure their "claw machine" was working). The food is alittle slow coming too... But it was impressive... Large portions, good quality (except for the chips - cheap oven type that went cold quickly). Service (at the bar / and in restaurant) was impressively good. Good value on food (3 in my party - we ate for £26!) I (probably) would go here again, but would whince each time I bought a drink! If they got the details right, this would have been 5 stars easy... Additional: Fabulous fresh salad bar (wide range of items).
A.Just had a spontaneous lunch here with my hubby and child. The staff that served us was lovely, great tone and the patience of a saint. I am gluten intolerant and I asked for assistance with placing my order. I was handed a book with all the foods and allergies that are in the ingredients. I ordered and was very pleased with the way she was patient. The food was well presented but not only that absolutely delicious. Every meal was on point.... H. K.Could barely find the meat in my Cajun chicken wrap mostly filled with avocado and salsa. The place was extremely warm right by the kitchen and we were charged for sauce we didn't have . The rest of the group enjoyed their food . Bit gutted the ice cream machine was broken too. Dead nice staff though .

The desert was not as expected - I ordered the profiteroles with Bailey's not expecting as much ice-cream. However this is just a small criticism brilliant night overall.

J. S.Came here for breakfast today after walking out of another establishment nearby due to poor service. Our experience at The Beacon Harvester couldn’t have been more different. We were given a warm welcome at the door by Alexia and she attended to our every need. The all you can eat breakfast is brilliant and when the cooked food arrived it was piping hot and very tasty. Even though they were starting to clear away the breakfast towards the end of our visit they made sure we had everything we needed and said if there was anything we wanted just to ask and they would fetch it for us. Alexia was very bright and bubbly and was a credit to the brand and outlet. At £9.49 per person it is one of the more expensive all-you-can eat breakfasts BUT on today’s experience it’s worth it and you get all your cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts, toast and jams, tea, coffee and juices, plus as much hot breakfast as you want cooked to order. And all with splendid service. Simply excellent experience and we will return again.

A.Been coming here now n then for years. Food is generally good, staff are friendly enough, certainly one of the better Harvesters. Bar service can be slow at busier periods though, especially when there are lots of people waiting to eat.

D. P.Place seemed as if it was run by holiday cover staff. The barman was ignorant and too interested in talking to his mate. The restaurant staff didn't clear the plates for an eternity. It was an age from when we finally got the bill, then the girl didn't come to get the payment. After sitting for about 15 minutes we decided to go and take our money to the till.
The place was only a quarter full so that's not an excuse to say staff were rushed off their feet. The moral appears to be down, and that lies firmly with the management.
Sort it out!
m.Wasn't the best service. Ordered a side chips and jack daniels sauce, which never turned up. Had a steak with no steak knife. Puddings were supposed to come with wafers which was also forgotten. After mentioning the puddings were missing them, they were just brought over and handed to us, who knows where those hands have been. No apologies either for any of the mistakes. Food was okay, but standards aren't as high as boldmere branch.

C. E.Breakfast - I came here because it is next door to a Premier Inn and their breakfasts are usually pretty good. Emma was really helpful and friendly.
The filtered coffee jug is high up. It is hot and quite heavy. Some customers will struggle with it and I would definitely keep children clear (which is difficult as it is so close to the cereals etc). Also, there is no milk near the hot water urn and so people with extremely hot water / coffee have to walk across to the other side of the buffet to add milk (which is in a jug by the juices).
The continental selection lacks the croissants and pain-au-chocolat we have all come to expect and is relatively boring.
The breakfasts are cooked to order. It took a long time to arrive but the sausage and bacon was ok. There is an unlimited option (plus a slightly less unlimited option that excludes coffee and juice). Other than that, there are the usual menu options.
The radiators are on, and on some tables, there are bottles of Tomato sauce up against them. I feel like I wouldn't risk using that sauce but I am no expert in the effect of those conditions on the sugar in the sauce or bacteria in the bottle.
I was also surprised that I had to go and find a member of staff to ask for brown sauce and eventually he came back to say they only have one bottle and it was already on somebody else's table.
For a pub next door to a Premier Inn, this unlimited breakfast is not as good as some... I think it must not be associated with the Premier Inn.
I know this sounds moany but I am still giving 4 stars as the food was pretty good.
B. G.Fancied a roast dinner so went to harvester I must admit it was just ok reason being the whole meal was a little fresh lacked seasoning it was cooked well my drink was missing ingredients which was advertised my daughters rack of ribs was nice lacked sauce though there is a carpark disabled parking and entrance toilet facilities was clean it's worth a visit.

R.By far the best Harvester we've been too, the food is cooked and prepared/presented to a much higher standard than most and even though the food is supposed to be the same it genuinely tastes so much better/fresher here, and the staff are so nice 👍. We go out our way to come here, even though we have another Harvester just 5 minutes down the road.
