Absolutely incredible, came here for my brother's birthday and we had the best time. Parking isn't the best and quite limited. But when you get inside there is loads of space. Great selection of food to choose from and of course it is all you can eat 😁 can't not love that. I had two plate fulls and a big pudding. Drinks were well priced too. Staff were very attentive and always clearing away old plates for you. Will definitely be returning!

After Christmas market we decided to visit some where to eat and this time decided come to buffet island and we didn't disappointed food was nice tasty and fresh staff was top in up dishes time by time to don't let run out . Chef on grill cook beautifully dishes with your own choice ingredients seasoning with bit salt and soya sauce I ask whit bit chilli and is blow my mind was so tasty you cam see most traditional dishes are served in this place . I will come back I I will visit this are in future .

GREAT CHINA BUFFET - RECOMMEND Good quality Chinese buffet. + nice atmosphere and decor + wide range of food and good quality. Nothing too spicy + includes salad bar and deserts + duck & spare ribs included + desert includes help yourself 'Mr Whippy' white ice cream and chocolate fountain. Includes fruit (grapes, melon, pineapple & orange) + Friendly staff + No time pressure when they are not busy + clean & modern toilets - Limited sea food options - No flavoured ice cream (but good machine option) Good price (look up on the website) I'll be making my second visit soon AFTER 2nd VISIT + Still a great buffet + 3 small birthday parties (always a good sign as people typically choose their favourite resturant for this). Staff presented cake and Happy Birthday music played + & - good desert chooses, but they go quickly so pick what you what early on. Recommend the chocolate Brownies

LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN... I have been to nearly every buffet in Birmingham and i can guarantee this is the best one yet. It has fantastic food that is always fresh hot and curries steaming and FRESHLY MADE PANCAKES right in front of you. If you miss out on this place its a big loss as this place is just straight up fantastic. Also the staff are the most pleasant and helpful staff i have ever encountered. The place itself looks fantastic and has a beautiful ambience . Every single amount i spent here was worth it 100% !!!!

Friendly staff and generally good food. Some food is left out slightly too long as sauces do develop a skin. Soft drinks are a bit flat also. Other than that, great venue, great staff and a decent price.

I loved this place. We went for a night out and had the most amazing food Every thing we had was so tasty. We got there at 8pm and it was so busy, but the staff coped so well. About 30 minutes later it emptied out and was a lot quieter so we so much better.

First time there. Was visiting family. The selection of food was good. But the atmosphere was terrible, there was a very large table beside us and they where just plain rude, felt very rushed by staff as well hardly got to the end of my dessert when asked are we done, good job I hadn't planned on going for seconds.

Normally I would give more than 3 stars 🌟. The day we went it was mother's day so they were extremely busy. We were pushed to eat all you want within a 1.5 hours especially when I'm disabled and so was the people I was with. They came to the table asking us if we want the bill. We felt pushed we had to leave some of the pudding dishes we had. Please don't dismiss this place. It was a very busy time so maybe if I go again it might be a better experience. The food is average.

Great food, big space for seats, constant waiters coming to take your plates. Not so quick on bring the drinks out as they are to take your plate away though. Some food was mislabelled too, but not enough to not give a 5 star. Quality food!

The food was soooo nice! Really liked it. The staff were so on the ball, smiley and polite. £15.99 for all you can eat buffet including desert options is not bad in my opinion. Especially when considering the range and quality of the food on offer. Only criticisms are that they had a sushi section so I ate a bit of salmon and it was awful. It tasted of nothing except for maybe chemicals. Not sure how they got salmon to taste of nothing to be quite honest. And they could have done with an accessible bin as they had a lot of sticky food so afterwards I'd use a hand sanitiser type of thing and a napkin but have no where to throw it away. But the cooked food was delicious, service was excellent, the place looked nice (good temperature as well but oddly hot right in front of the door) and I'll definitely go there again

Good and a few bad ... Really friendly helpful staff here which stood out for me. Food is just average.. buffet hot and frequently topped up. Nice modern restaurant although somwhat chaotic. I felt rushed and like I was at a cattle market... too many customers.. layout to buffet very poor sadly I had indigestion by the time I got home unfortunately not my idea of a nice relaxing meal out so although staff are lovely I would not return here.

We visit Buffet Island regularly, usually on somebody's Birthday, we have never left disappointed and always left completely stuffed. The food is excellent and not expensive for what you eat, I actually make myself quite ill sometimes because I eat that much here, loads to chose from !! Starters, Mains , Desserts , Salads Ect !! There is also a grill here that a chef will cook the ingredients you've chosen for you. We happened to go on the day they were celebrating chinese New year last time and there was a dragon display on that was entertaining! Great all round!!

Always have a lovely time here. We visited for my sister's birthday, and they had a Chinese Dragon performance the same evening. Everybody in the restaurant enjoyed it. I thought it was a great touch for Chinese New Year!

You can't fault the quality of the food or the quantity or sheer variety and choice excellent value well done, one point I would say is why do families allow their children to run around like wild animals spoiling the atmosphere for others. I don't blame the restaurant but some customers need to sort their children out there not fit to eat in public

Pretty good buffet fare - the section where you choose your own ingredients for them to be stir fried was excellent, and the rest was pretty standard - altough the dessert section was quite threadbare. I have a soft spot for Chinese buffet since going to my first in Leicester Square about 25 years ago. In recent years I have been several times to Wing Wah and Ming Moon. This restaurant is probably slightly better. It’s cleaner, and the food tastes better. It has a 5 rating for food hygiene. One of the waitresses had a wicked personality and sense of humour. It seems more personal here. Unlimited soda refills would make a nice addition but even without this I will give it 5 stars

Pretty good here at Tyburn Road. We got sat at the wrong table, which collapsed on us, which wasn't a great start, but were eventually moved to the correct table and could get our food. Food was great. Drinks service was a bit slow but staff overall very friendly and proactive.

Absolutely fantastic food if you get there at opening time. Nobody came to ask us a drinks order though, we were on a table of 15 people so it would have been helpful. I also didn't feel they were understanding of the needs of our 2yr old twins and not all dishes were labelled which made it difficult for our vegetarian guests.

Visited here an a number of occasions and have only ever been extremely satisfied. Great range of dishes topped up regularly and always fresh taking. Reasonably priced and staff polite and helpful. We have introduced the restaurant to friends many of whom have returned there to eat. One and only issue is that parking can be difficult, but no reason to be put off.

We went on a Saturday lunch time so they do not serve as much variety as on the evening. The restaurant was quite busy and there was a constant supply on the buffet to choose from. I didn't like having to go down a few steps from the buffet back to my table but there were tables on the same level so I imagine these could be requested. The desserts were very poor in selection and quality but the main options were great. Not a huge range of options for children if they don't like Chinese food. Personnally I prefer the restaurant in Burton On Trent as it has a better layout and range of food although I think it is slightly more expensive.

A place to go to try out different foods without paying over the odds. This is where I tried many new foods. Some I still eat now. The staff are great and always pleasant and go out of their way to make sure the customer is looked after. The food is also always hot and fresh. The prices are very reasonable too. There's good access for wheelchairs and there's free parking. I've been for a few parties here and I have always enjoyed it. I've also recommended it to friends and family. A great if not the best Chinese buffet in Brum.

Fairly large seating areas! Good for family meals. Very kind staff. Very affordable (£16 per person), and it's an ALL YOU CAN EAT. You have the freedom to pick what ever you want first. If you feel like it you can just have ice cream as your starter!

I have been here a few times in the past, but usually for evening meals. This time, I went for a lunch meeting, and the selection was slightly reduced from their usual high level, but that's understandable, given that they charge quite a bit less for lunch than for dinner. The environment is very nice - it feels clean, comfortable, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. And the food... wonderful! Very good quality and selection, and it caters well for those who choose not to eat meat. I'll definitely come here again!

I didn't see the hygiene rating, as I wasn't looking for it, but I think it would be about 4 to 5 as it is a buffet. I don't know how they rate it as the public is doing its own serving... how do they rate that? I don't know. Anywho, 5 stars for food. 5 stars for service.

Food wise it was quite nice, although the chicken balls were inclined to be rather tough and grisly. Everything else I had to eat was very tasty but some of was too salty. We have been to buffet island on so many occasions over the years, but found it to be so disappointing this time. My grandson was not happy sitting by the wall, as it had food deposits/stains on the wall. When he got my handbag off the floor for me, he noticed how dirty the tables were underneath, and also the skirting boards. Not a very pleasant sight at all. The staff however are so helpful, friendly and polite, and it saddens me to be so negative about this place.

It's okay. There's always a balance and, here, you get a wide variety of food, buffet style, and as much as you can eat. It's cheap but it's all about quantity rather than pure quality. That said, I'd go again. It's great for groups as it makes dining a fun, chatty experience whilst helping you get your 10,000 steps in whilst filling your belly!!!

All I can say about this place is that it's cheap, 2 adults on a Sunday 1 large Coke & 1 large orange juice was £26. The food is average but does the job. Half the staff are friendly and helpful but the others just can't be bothered to be there & it shows. The whole place just feels thrown together with cheap tables & chairs gives you the feel of a school canteen. As I said it's Ok, quick & simple Chinese food don't expect any traditional dishes.

Buffet island one of my favourite spots. Best time to go is 6pm when they first open for evening dining... (not lunch time) fresh food... no queues... nice N quiet... you have the staff to yourself and Your in and out before it starts to get noisy and busy. Love the stir fry counter where you pick n they make up your food. During lunch, you don't get this option hence why dinner time as I stated is better than lunchtime.... more variety of food.

The food never fails to impress with a good variety all well cooked, the evening menu is more extensive than the daytime one which is to be expected as you do pay a bit more for it. For a buffet style restaurant this place is good. Obviously you can't expect the kind of service and relaxed atmosphere of a more classy or traditional restaurant. These buffet places are more like a money making production line. The food was nice and the variety was good. Don't expect anything more. You get what you pay for.

Really nice buffet with a wide selection of food choices. It can get really busy at peak times but the food is always topped up and fresh. The staff are nice and really polite. The only downside is in really busy times the parking is a bit of a nightmare. They will reserve a table for you if book in advance as well.

Been here twice now. Food is generally "okay" in terms of quality. Unfortunately a couple of items on offer were extremely dry (namely the satay chicken) and the owners should consider changing the way these are served. The battered chicken balls were a bit dodgy and I've got some doubts about the quality of chicken used.

Buffet Island is based on the Tyburn Road. The prices are fairly reasonable, and the majority of the cuisine available is what you could order from most Chinese restaurants and take always. The dishes available are some national favourites. Such as; crispy seaweed, sweet and sour dishes, chow miens, crackers and sushi selections. The food is delicious, my personal favourite was the salt n pepper mushrooms with a small dipping of sweet and sour sauce. The desserts were also consisting of cakes, ice creams and puddings. The food is not varied in quantity, however it does not drop in quality. Easily accessed in a main road, and next to public transport. It is a fair place to go to go crazy for Chinese food.

But Buffet Island you need to stop taking so much people on mother's day especially when people have made a reservation . First choice should be people who have reserved a table not people who decide to come in on the off chance . Last and this year's mother's day both times I made a booking and still was in a long que that was going right back through to the main entrance doors. There were elderly people who had no where to sit and standing for a long time . One family had been waiting since half past three and were still waiting at 4.20 pm . My table had been booked for 4pm . You then told people they had an hour to eat food. Nooo you need to stop this nonsense on mother's day. Stop thinking of all the money you can make and think of your customers it's unacceptable to treat people this way. On mother's day in future you need to tell people that just for that day make a telephone booking then at 6.00 pm let people come in . It's not right. There's no problem with the food it's lovely hot and tasty but the nonsense on mother's day needs to stop and you need to stop telling everyone they are booked in for 4pm. That makes no sense.

"You'll need these" he handed them a pair of salad tongues "you know, to get the keys." They nodded and began to forage in the pillow. Buffet Island is a great All you Can Eat Chinese Restaurant. It has a nice wide range of foods available ad all seem to be kept hot and filled both times i have visited. The staff are attentive and help where needed but are not very good at approaching to check how your meal is. The pricing is good and is a great way to try a variety of Chinese foods, especially if you dont know what you will like. The décor is quite unique for a Chinese all you can eat restaurant. It is very homely like and is like a large house. Plenty of tables and nooks to sit in Decor really does help win you over with this place. Can get rather warm in there when its busy, so don't take a jumper.

Buffet island is a chinese buffet style restaurant that has lots to offer. There are numerous chicken, pork, beef, duck and fish dishes with various side dishes, starters and sweets. The evening experience also offers a choice of freshly cooked meats and veg of your choice that are prepared as you wait. The lunch time experience offers less choice but there are still plenty of dishes to choose from and the price is very reasonable. The restaurant is always clean and well presented and the serving/food area is bright, clean and inviting. I dont drink so I cant really offer an opinion of drink prices but the food prices are very reasonable considering its an "All you can eat" style buffet. There's also plenty of on site parking. The only negative point and I use that term lightly is that the staff are very keen to remove the used cuttlery and crockery from your table after each plate.. Not really a bad thing but you can feel like youre being watched sometimes.. They are just keen to clear your table to allow you to collect fresh plates of the great food that's served here.

Buffet Island. Is what it is, the food there is half decent, however if you would like to educate people the difference between a pint and a large. Pint = pint glass (Coke zero) Large = smaller than pint Small = half pint But you cannot and you will not be served a pint of coke or soft drink.... Only large????? Honestley absolutley crackers. The staff work really hard in here, the tables are always cleaned, everything is very methodical which is nice It's £11 for all you can eat so you get what you pay for. Alcohol is quite overpriced in here, for a bottle of becks (because they serve carling 🤢 or Stella 🥊) and a Disarono and Coke, was £9.90. Make of it what you will its cheap, cheerful, does the job but overall its just mediocre.

Amazing Chinese buffet offering all you can eat in Erdington. Have gone here by myself, with my brother, and with a group. Reservations are welcome but not needed. Offering some of the best Chinese food I've ever had and offering some of the greatest dessert, too. Highly recommended 11 out of 10. There are buses that go past the restaurant including the number 67 from Birmingham, the number 11 from the Fox and Goose and a train station nearby. Not a far walk from Erdington town Centre and not far from Birmingham town centre as well.
