Amazing food and service, really good options and prices! Food flavour was excellent! All the staff were friendly and attentive. Would 100% recommend and will be returning! Best harvester I’ve tried!

Visited Wed 23.3.22 We decided on going to Harvester as their online menu was very appealing. It took about 5 minutes of us stood waiting at the door to be seen or seated but not a big problem and we browsed the menus whilst waiting. The service was very friendly and attentive, the lady who looked after us was brilliant. We opted for the weekday 3 course set menu (£16 for 3 courses? What a steal!). We had a cider and a larger, with a refillable soft drink. For food, we had the calamari and mushrooms to start, followed by 2 fish and chips and 2 chocolate brownies. This also came with unlimited access to the salad bar! The salad bar operates as a buffet but due to covid they serve the salad to you (fantastic for someone like my partner who hates the idea of everyone helping themselves to food at buffets). Food came out very promptly, just enough time to get graze on some salad and bread rolls. There was almost no wait time between courses - the whole place ran like a well oiled machine. All of this (3 drinks, 6 dishes, 2 unlimited salads) for under £25 each is fantastic. Lovely stuff!

My partner and I had dinner last Wednesday evening. We were welcomed by friendly staff. Drinks and food came promptly enough, and we also had salad from the salad bar. We both had chicken, 8oz steak, prawns in breadcrumbs, chips, coleslaw and corn on the cob. It was absolutely delicious! We’d asked for medium steak but mine was ever so slightly on the rarer side - however I didn’t mind at all. Overall an excellent service, with great food and staff that were always happy to help. We will definitely be returning again.

Came here for breakfast and was served by Kat, wonderful, friendly service, she was brilliant. However, upon ordering the breakfast, my friend (who’s a fussy Easter) asked for no mushrooms, egg, or tomato. She wanted some extra beans, and the chef wouldn’t allow this, although she happily paid extra for it. This wouldn’t have cost the chef any extra, and I personally would think that guest satisfaction, and going the extra mile should always come first. There beans and don’t cost much at all. The service was brilliant, but would think twice about returning due to this.

Went to the harvester yesterday and I'm truly saddened. I'm a big fan of the harvester but this one was not my slice of heaven. Staffs were to busy chatting among themselves at times. When we wanted the bill it took her almost 30 mins to finally come over to us (we asked for it and was made to wait). The food was nice but for the price you pay it was outrageous 6 shells and a small quater of garlic bread. The vegan corn was not worth £5. The portions that was given at the salad bar was fair but lacked chose. Staff were friendly. The restaurant was clean and tidy.

Dropped into The Fort for a much needed cuppa after looking at cars for my boyfriend nearby. Costa was busy so ended up at The Harvester and we both had lovely low calorie vegan chillis and bowls of salad from the salad bar. The Next store is really big here and there is a nice Clarks shoes shop too. I do find these out of town shopping centres a bit soulless though but I guess it's handy to have a group of different shops next to each other.

Sunday 5th December 2021. Restaurant about 60% occupied at around 13.30. My wife and I. Tapas starter with no cutlery, side plate or napkins - had to get up and find someone to assist. Main course arrived, still no cutlery- had to get up and find someone and a few minutes later the cutlery finally arrived. No attention at all during the meal, no question if we wanted a second drink, no question if we were happy or wanted anything else. After the main course, we managed to attract a passing member of staff and asked for a liquor coffee, but advised the machine was broken and no alternative offered. All in all, the food was ok, the service was poor.

Okay, I think it's fair that you asked.... First impressions count to me and although Harvester is my favourite place to eat, I find standards vary place to place. The dust around the table made me feel like things here were difficult to control, attention to detail matters and it appeared that this was something that didn't matter to you. We were together as a family but we eat the same menu items in every Harvester we go to and for me it was okay and I am the fussy one, but this time my partner passed comment that it was the worst burger he had ever had in Harvester. For this to have been said amplified how I felt. We go out every week to enjoy our time together to us it's special and important and I felt that it wasn't as important to you as it is to us.

We had a wonderful quick, convenient meal at the Harvester after shopping at the Fort. The staff member who welcomed us talked us through all of the covid guidance to make our trip a safe one and was really clear and effective in her role. We were sat at a table suitably distanced from other diners with space for our pushchair. Food was served quickly and portions were generous. The table and surrounding areas were absolutely spotlessly clean. We felt safe throughout our meal and would definitely return.

I visited Harvester for mothers Day and the food and staff were lovely. However, the time for the food to come out was a long wait, especially for the kids. I would recommend if it is going to be a long wait they could inform us and ask if we would like the kids meals first if possible. We waited over an hour for the desserts to come as there was an issue with the ice cream machine, which i'm guessing is not a regular issue but was at this time. But overall was a nice evening, mother enjoyed it. Staff very polite and helpful.

Poor experience today. The heating wasn't working so it was freezing ... yet no offer of a free hot drink (which would have cost pence) in compensation! Had to ask for knives; only forks put out on the tables. Staff were extremely noisy, dragging furniture around rather than picking it up to move it. No butter for the rolls. All the staff looked really miserable. The food was okay though it was ready at the counter quite a while before it was brought to the table. Need to do better!

And us men then have to have a pint. The Harvester is bright very clean as you walk in we were welcomed by a lovely lady ask if we wanted to eat or drink. We went for the latter. J ust ate here with my friend not impressed really. Bread rolls on salad bar so hard you could break you teeth on them. Had to use the same cutlery set for every course. Bought our mains just after our starters so they were on the table going cold. My friend had the pork belly she never ate any of it it was very over cooked and dry. Only came in to feed the baby before shopping so we just had tea and toast. The staff were very welcoming and gave us a table with plenty of space. My son has additional needs and was running around the restaurant, not particularly disruptively but he struggles to sit still. A member of staff approached him and my mum (who was following him around) carefully and got down on the floor to ask if he wanted some colouring. My mum explained about his needs and that he didn't understand and this make member of staff had already understood the situation which is why he approached the way he did and didn't push for an answer. It was lovely for someone to understand and not make us feel like we shouldn't be there. I wish I'd found out his name! I'd definitely come back again!

Came here for their "all you can eat" breakfast, though I suggest the name is changed for "all you've got patience for" breakfast. No coffee, no bowls, poor layout of the food and drinks. However, the food that was available was delicious, hot and served with a smile.

Badly cooked steak (over cooked) food missing off plates that was described in the menu. (No mushrooms or tomato). Cold Soggy chips. The Internet also says Gluten free menu (for my son) but when we ordered they said the fat hadn't been changed in the fryer (apparently one was broken) so he couldn't have chips due to cross contamination (bread crumbs which contain wheat.) Over all the food was poor. But the manager did apologise and took some of the bill for us. Last time we came the food was ok so up too you folks.
