Amazing service, cozy atmosphere and really good food!!! Service was super fast and wonderful. I had a perfect English breakfast and my earl grey with milk was made perfectly as well. Honestly amazing to eat here, I will definitely be back.

My new go-to place for a tasty breakfast!! Staff were super friendly when you come in and the food was so filling and delicious. Service was very quick and attentive so its great if you’re in a rush. Although the place is quite small and cramped, the food and atmosphere makes it worth a visit. It does get busy but its convenient location to the station makes sense. 100% recommend 👍🏻

Is that a French accent? At 06:45 in the morning the streets of Birmingham City Centre are pedestrian. Businesses have their shutters firmly locked. Thankfully the warm glow of Grand Central Kitchen (GCK) is projected onto the tram tracks of the street. I walk inside. I’m immediately greeted with a equally warm reception from the staff member. “Eat in or takeaway?”, he asks. His finely styled facial hair and foreign accent gets me thinking. Where is this man originally from? I ask. “Iran”, he replies. I take a look around and now see the obvious Middle Eastern inspired interior cues. “Flat white with oat milk please. Your finest latte art please.” He asks me to take a seat. The coffee arrives and I smile. It may be a dark Italian roast coffee, but it looks splendid. I sit, chilling out as dawn unravels. The lounge music softens my frenetic mood. I finish the last sip of liquid gold before paying and thanking the sociable and smiley staff member. See you again my friend.

A few friends and I visited Birmingham for the weekend and desperately needed breakfast. Grand Central Kitchen was simply amazing. We couldn't locate the cafe at first, so I called up for directions, and the owner (I believe his name is Cena) kindly met us outside and took us to our seats. This was very impressive as we'd never experienced this type of care at any cafe/restaurant, especially from the owner! We immediately felt taken care of. His polite staff took our order, and the delicious breakfast arrived in no time. The food, service and atmosphere were so satisfying we went back for breakfast the following morning before travelling back to London. Cena didn't fail to impress us again and kindly stored our suitcases in a safe place while we enjoyed another delicious breakfast. Grand Central Kitchen is now our go-to cafe whenever we decide to visit Birmingham (hopefully soon!), and we'll be sure to recommend the cafe to everyone. Keep up the fantastic service and customer experience :)

Veggie Breakfast (in photo) and if you want anything else on the side the staff and manager is accommodating to your needs. Travelling, Through Grand Central?? I absolutely love coming to this cafe and make a trip into Birmingham specifically for it. The breakfasts are so so so delicious!!! I have had the panini's and wraps before, but today I went for the big breakfast and boy is it big. So filling and so tasty. The cheesy omelette is amazing!!! The staff in here are so friendly. They take their time to talk to you. Also there is an open kitchen so you can see and smell everything being made. The coffees are really good too. Will definitely return some time soon.

Me and my partner visited grand Central kitchen today and were really impressed by the overall experience. Every once in a while you stumble across a place that you know you will visit again if you are ever back in the area. This cosy little cafe is small in size, oozing in character and hospitality. Came in for a breakfast with my fiance before heading to the coach station. It was very busy, but the staff were lovely and very accommodating. One minus is they don’t have fried eggs and the omelette in the English breakfast was a bit bland. Their wholemeal bloomer bread was amazing though and they serve nice big portions of food and even drinks. Lovely staff as well.

However nothing here to be called the best breakfast etc..it’s an honest place with good people serving reasonable fare at great value. Thanks to that, you can see that absolutely no cooking goes on, just putting things in a large industrial oven/grill then taking it out again. Well, this is a tipp from me to all students who want to eat very good food for a small amount of Money. It's a little restaurant for about 30 to 40 people. The menu differs from burger, pizza, wraps etc. Prize for a menu with fries and drink is around 10 Pounds. The employees are very friendly and the whole place has a nice ambience. In conclusion they deserve 5/5 Stars.

This is my go to place in birmingham for English breakfast/ brunch. Absolutely amazing staff, they'll recieve you on the door as you enter, find you a comfortable spot, assist with menu selection and serve in no time. ♿⚠️Small entrance and narrow Isles, table/chair style seating with short tables. ♿ Toilets, are located inside, please ask staff if you need to use them. Came here on a weekday afternoon, staff were really friendly and happy, service was fast and easy to order. The only part that let them down was the pizza, they use store bought bases that end up like cardboard once cooked, making a base isn't too hard and makes any pizza when done right! The breakfasts look great however!

Friendly and efficient staff, well cooked, tasty food and well presented interior with a customer toilet which was in good order. It's a popular place so expect to queue outside for a few minutes during busy periods. They turn the tables over fast though so we literally waited about 3 mins (and they brought the menus to us outside too). Very nice coffee... well cooked bacon,very tasty cheesy omelettes, nice enough fried mushrooms... Downsides for me... no black pudding in the full English, the sausages were tasty but could have had a bit more substance to them, and the toast was more like slightly soggy brown bread. It had been "pre-buttered" and possibly with a vegetable spread not with real butter, but overall very good and my friends thoroughly enjoyed it.

Given the reviews I had really high expectations of this place, and although the food definitely wasn’t bad, it wasn’t amazing either. I think the vegetarian english breakfast isn’t quite the same quality as the normal english breakfast even though they’re the same price, which is a bit disappointing. It’s a bit strange that there aren’t any hash browns in the breakfast either, but you get 4 pieces of toast… The staff were very friendly and the overall vibe was nice, and honestly I’d probably come back again if I’m in the area, but I think I was expecting a bit more from a place that has an average of 4.8 stars.

The restaurant is mainly a breakfast place, with a nice old theme, lots of pre war looking poster etc the tables are regularly cleaned, and waiting staff wears masks. Overall an excellent place to eat at would come again.

I have never had such light, fluffy and delicious eggs on a breakfast as you get here! Not just the famous full English either, the breakfast rolls are note-perfect, and a semi regular Friday treat for me now. Great coffee too! The manager is also a complete delight - he never fails to recognise me and my fella and ask us how we are and generally make us feel welcome in a way you'd simply never get in a chain coffee shop. I'm so pleased for their success and I hope it continues long into the future because they've earned every bit of it.

I'd almost given up being able to sit 2 children, a baby in a pram and me down at lunch in the city centre, especially somewhere that had stuff on the menu that both children would eat. in fact, if you're not eating here and you have fussy children, bring a packed lunch to Birmingham. You'll be less stressed.

I really enjoyed the food at GCK. Since it was a little late for breakfast at the time of my visit, I opted for a pesto chicken wrap. The flavor and preparation were excellent--crispy outside, tender chicken, and a bright hint of citrus. Ordering at the counter was a little crowded, but paying ahead of time made for a quick departure after eating. I'd recommend this restaurant to any train travelers or people staying in the area.

Love this place, been going since it was Stone Willy's, and had a tobacconist at the front. The owner (who worked there before it changed) is a genuinely nice guy. Really puts his all into that business, and will do anything to please his customers; he remembers and takes care of his regulars. We often go there for a breakfast bap, and they're the best breakfast baps going in Birmingham in our humble opinions. Really well priced, great coffee and drinks selection. Lunch wraps are likewise superlative (try the pulled pork). The guy that owns this place deserves all the credit he can get. He's obviously the one driving their success, and long may they continue.
