Visited Grillz Steaks and dessert with my family recently for the first time. We were a group of 8, the restaurant was busy so they opened up upstairs for us. The customer service was great, and we were well taken care of. The food came together, and everyone enjoyed their meals. Definitely would go again!

Visited this place with my family over the weekend. When we got there, the place looked super busy so we expected to wait a while until we were seated but when my brother went to ask how long we would have to wait, one of the brothers decided to seat us upstairs in the private room. We really appreciated that gesture and it totally made our evening. The wait for the food wasn't that long and the Sirloin I ordered was good but my favourite thing was the mixed Kebabish. Everyone seemed to enjoy everything they ordered too. All in all a wonderful evening. Would definitely recommend this place.

Went to visit a friend in Coventry and he kept saying you need to try grillz it's so good. Got the mixed kebab initially thinking it was grilled food like chicken/lamb shish and a kofta, but I was so surprised to see donner 😂 but omg let me tell you it was so darn flavorful the sauce they use for the mix kebab was so addictive and I love fat chips it was the perfect combination 😍 mac n cheese looks really small at first glance but wow it is big and more than enough for anyone to finish. We finished it all off with some mojitos I had the passionfruit mojito, which I get almost every time in a restaurant that serves mojitos😋 10/10 would go back and recommend everyone to try Grillz.

First off, who in the 21st century doesn't take card? They have a sign saying there's a cashpoint 2 mins away but it charges £2 for withdrawals, so off to a great start! I wouldn't mind them accepting cash only if the menu was reasonably priced, but it really isn't. £2 for a can of coke that doesn't even come with a glass. Talk about extortion! Another negative is the atmosphere. Road man central! I mean it wouldn't kill to have some standards but this place is right on Small Heath's doorstep so I guess that sets the standards. They also seemed to forget we'd been seated. Had to get a waiter's attention even though it wasn't busy at all. Plenty of staff standing around chatting to one another. Food was tasty, and cooked well, though arrived quite quick so not sure if it's pre-cooked and just thrown on the grill. No burnt chicken etc so at least they got that right. I wouldn't go again though, just because it's a yardy boys meeting spot and whilst they have an upstairs seating area, they pile everyone in together downstairs, no doubt for their own convenience. There're enough of these places about for you to find somewhere else that's better.

Hands down the best Restaurant in Birmingham!! The decor especially the flowers are very classy. A very warm welcome at the door is always a good start. I ordered fully loaded nachos as a starter and I can tell you they are very addictive and delicious followed by my drink which was a fruit punch mock tail it was absolutely delicious. My maincourse which was a fillet steak was up to my standard hats off to the chef ! Overall I am very impressed thank you so much TEAM GRILLZ for your hospitality the team in there always provide the best service and are always working hard to make sure everybody is happy :) The waiters even gave my son a fruit shoot on the house and some sweets as a kind jester

Lovely experience from start to end thanks to Rejwan & Enam who offered us first class service catered to all our needs. From when you arrive the setting is wonderful, and the interior is warm and inviting. We went with young kids and my son was super excited moving around , but Enam was great, and never made us feel embarrassed he was entertaining the kids making conversation with us all. These guys are a real asset to Grillz. The food was great but the portions have gone smaller over time. If there was a downside its they only accept cash.

I was introduced to this place by a friend and loved it straight away from the time I walked in until the end. 🤗 Servers were very polite and quick with the service. Food was lovely and well presented on the plate. I had the loaded chips, hummus, chicken steak with mash and the a Eton Mess for dessert. Every thing was cooked to perfection, especially the chicken which I found was juicy and tender 😋. The only issue I found was that I got too excited and carried away with the lovely food that I ended up so full, I couldn’t even move 🤭….. lol Apart from that would really recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and service. Keep up the good work guys, will definitely be returning with my friends and family👍🏼

Overall, the food was good but the experience was let down by lack of service (slow) and something that's been mentioned before in previous reviews - portion sizes! I ordered the surf and turf option and they charged me £4 for two tempura prawns that looked like they were bought from Iceland (look at my pic). I ordered the chicken steak and it was quite nice, the mushroom sauce was really tasty. I do feel the portion of chips was very small and felt it was not enough at all. A little on the stingy side with their chips. The atmosphere I feel it a little too dark inside for my liking.

First visit since before lockdown. The menu has shrunk a lot. I had previously ordered the tomahawk on my pre-lockdown visit but this was absent from the current menu. Probably a good thing as it was an extremely small cut for the price. Ordered the rump this time which was cooked nicely to my usual order of rare, the price was ok at around the £18 mark with complimentary peppercorn source and a side of rice. Not too sure about the frozen lump of flavoured butter that arrives on a hot steak though, this does need better thought. Compared to the other dishes we ordered for a family of 6, this was the most expensive. Feedback to the restaurant, a 500g rump is better cooked thicker rather than wider to better capture the flavour of the meat and get a nice crust whilst keeping it to the desired cooking preference of the customer. A rare or even medium rare steak should not be medium / well in places as is the only outcome with a thinner piece of meat. Overall happy with the quality of the food however the down sides to the current menu has to be being charged £2 each for individual glasses of water, which must obviously have been sourced from the fabled Peckham spring, as well as a lack of contactless / card payment. The closest cash machine to the restaurant is about 10 shops down the road which charges £1.99 for any withdrawal. Overall it's a nice evening meal for an occasional escape from the home kitchen.

They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some amazing classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. Also this cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide drink list and wonderful desserts up for grabs. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

Excellent Food, consistent every time. Travel here a lot from Coventry & never been let down on food quality. Nice modern decor, very clean. Definitely a family friendly restaurant with seperate seating for the roadmen & seperate seating for families/women. What makes my experience extra special here is Shamon. This lad always goes the extra mile and makes a point of asking me if the food is okay or if anything else is needed. Genuinely so nice to walk in here & see his friendly face on shift. Very welcoming which is heartwarming in such a busy restaurant. Made my mums birthday extra special not long ago with sparklers on the cake. Give this man a payrise!

We had a very nice dinner. Our dinner was rib eye steak which was perfectly cooked according to our preference. The steamed vegetables were green beans and baby carrots broccoli and cauliflower. The mashed potatoes was creamy and chips were tasty and freshly fried. Their house salad is not what I had in mind. The proportion was not worth the price so as their coleslaw. Will go there again.

One of the best places to go for steak. They have a decent variety of food to choose from from Kebabish to steak to grilled chicken, I feel as if they have something for everyone. The lads that work there are always friendly and welcoming, great service always! It is card only but there's an ATM a few doors away so problem solved. Big family meals are all about the food and the environment. Absolutely love our time in Grillz the staff were incredibly helpful and even when the an order of the curry was bad, the staff were excellent and helped us out. My family loved our meal here and definitely recommend it.

Overall average experience. Food came out quick which in a grilled place is a bad sign as indicates it’s been pre-coooked and reheated. Tasted decent though...portions were not huge and very small selection of meats and was amazed that no shish kebab is part of a shared platter. I'd also recommend the chicken Parmesan. Delicious. The shop does get very busy and there isn't a lot of parking outside. The area may look unfriendly but it's defo worth popping by.

Pleasant experience at restaurant. Plenty of parking around the back. Cosy atmosphere with very friendly staff. All I had was mixed kebabish with satkora. Was very impressed. The kebabish was soft and juicy with the light citrus flavour from the satkora and the steak chips were cooked just right. I had a regular portion and it was enough to fill me up. Service was prompt considering it was a Friday night. It also has an added benefit of having a beautiful little masjid behind it. My only little complain is that they play music in the background which I think is unnecessary.

I Come here just for the lamb chops they are fab £7.95 for a portion of 7 chops with a side. Service is always good here nice atmosphere. There is an upstairs family area. They do not take card. Pretty average food, basic burgers so would only go for the steak or grilled chicken. Service is not the best, plenty of heads to cover every table but they seem poorly organised. About a year ago I visited this place and I was served the best steak ever. I went twice after and absolutely loved the food. HOWEVER, my recent trip has been very disappointing! The £20 steak i ordered was below average and i could barely finish it. The peppercorn sauce tasted of just butter & food in general was cold! Very disappointed how downhill the food has gone.

Parking a little hassle as its one main road so it can be annoying going around a few times! Decor inside is absolutely lovely amazing and friendly staff helped us with recommendations aswell as kept checking up on us to make sure we were okay! Price now this is interesting 🤔 we've been to alot of places and I can say hand down we were shocked to see how reasonable the prices where for a steak place (they serve alot more than steak) and couldn't belive the quality of food aswell! The last time I had been to Grillz was in the summer and it was great then and still great last night when we went for a family dinner. The food was brilliantly cooked we had the lamb chops and the lamb kebabish have had the steak before also and definitely appreciate they take a more different approach to cooking the steaks compared to the standard Asian/Pakistani flavours. The only down sides are that it's cash only and the car park in the back is not well lit nor sign posted so easy for patrons to overlook and probably move onto another place assuming the only parking is on the main road which is usually full. Keep up the good standards!

It is not the biggest restaurant but they've made good use of space. Personally I would recommend eating the gourmet burger or sirloin steak :)

Well well well what can I say I have been going to this place for almost 4-5 years and the boys have not let me down. Food is amazing. Quality is amazing. Presentation is 10/10 the place is very nice and well maintained. They recently had a refurb so it is bigger and better. More seating and you have invested alot in the lighting well worth it. Lighting adds so much to a place. The kitchen is visable so you can see food getting prepared. And boy is it clean. Great chefs they do not let you down everytime I have been the food is exceptional. Weekends does get busy so.id suggest going early. As sometimes you have to wait for a seat. If you are in Birmingham please try this place out.

Can not fault the food one bit their peri chicken is literally the best I've had (nandos who?). The mojitos are also amazing - especially the fruit punch which a staff member recommended.. Id mentioned the drink was so good that it had finished way too fast and the staff member quickly apologised and got me another! Service is great with such friendly staff who go out of their way to help you and ensure you are happy. The place itself has been refurbished and is top notch! I do remember it being a very small not so pretty place but would still go for the food as the food has never been a let down. Now they refurbished ut is just perfect. Beautiful interior with a moderm industrial twist going on - love the lights! It's really hard to find such great quality food that also have amazing staff to hand too. The shatkora kebabs are really nice and the venue looks real good. My only negatives are that the kids meal and churros could have been better. The kids chicken strip meal was basically one very thin chicken fillet cut into strips, with fries. I would have expected a bit more chicken as the meal (which excludes a drink) is almost the same price as the adult meals. Churros were okay but a bit hard and thin, but I've yet to find a UK venue that can make them right....other than Costco who have now stopped doing them. Overall though, the food we had was good and the restaurant was busy, which demonstrates how good the place is.

Service was okay if not a bit slow to start with. Food was very nice. Would have got five stars if all the steaks didn't come out as medium to well done when we had asked for medium/rear. Also one steak came very late, as in everyone else was almost finishing their steak when the last one arrived, which to be honest wasn't the problem. The problem was we got 3 different excuses from 3 different servers as to why it was late and there's nothing I hate more than lies . Passing through Birmingham so thought would pop in as had been recommended. Place was very very busy and didnt take long to get seated. The lad serving us was very polite and helpful. The food took forever to come out but was very well presented once it arrived. The chicken with hummous was delicious and the mash was amazing. However the lamb chops were very chewy and had to be cut like a steak rather than being juicy and succulent as they are in the likes of akbars. The recommendation which was the mixed chicken and lamb donner thing was very tasty but soooooo cold. Maybe this was waiting around whilst other stuff was cooking. That really did let down the meal. Prices were good and service was great however 1 out of 3 dishes being perfect let this place down. I believe the mix Donner thing was a genuine mistake and would easily be rectified. So I've rated this 4 stars accordingly.
