Came for a works meal. From start to finish the staff here were warm and welcoming, great service. There was so many dishes to choose from. So it was nice when ordering they took time to find out what kind of dishes and spice level we liked and recommended food that was bang on. Food was delicious. I chose a lamb and spinach curry, and the meat was tender and the sauce thick and unxious. I have to admit my dish was a touch too spicy for me as my eyes started watering a little, but it was still super tasty. I liked the touch of a complimentary deserts of melon, cake and ice-cream. Triple whammy which left us all contentedly stuffed. Would definitely suggest to seek this place out. Well worth a visit.

Visited this place on the recommendation of Google. Called the place and we have been told that it is open. Welcomed by staff and showed us our table for 2. The restaurant is clean and ambience is great. Have tested the tasters and main courses and everything has authentic taste. The staff was very kind and Cooperative and helped us in selection as well. The buffet has all the options that ones needed. The sweet in Gulab Jamuns are very balanced and not over/under sweet. Even customer lavatories are clean and no water on the ground. We had mix tea at the end of our meal, which taste OK as this has a bit more milk than my taste. Overall experience is very good and I highly recommend this place for family visits.

We were a corporate booking for 80+ so no mean feat. They were super friendly and accommodating. Very attentive and friendly. Always smiling. Pretty well all of us loved the choice and quality of the food. The staff were really engaged with all of us. This is what true customer service is all about. Myself amd a friend dinned here yesterday. We was greeted with a warm welcome. The hospitality was fantastic and goes above and beyond. Amazing food. Absolutely amazing curry, ordered the railway lamb curry it was cooked very similarly to what I have at home and something my mum would cook! The owner there was really friendly polite and helpful along with his young team of staff, the biggest surprise were the complimentary desserts a selection of jalebi, gulab jam, chocolate fudge cake, wedge of melon and some ice cream and to complete the meal a very nicely prepared desi chai, loved my meal, loved the service and loved every minute, would definitely recommend!!

Currently here at jilabi Indian restaurant . With a very warm friendly welcome I had just enjoyed some house red wine a mixed balti with pilau rice & a plain nann bread. Well what can I say I can only give this place 5 stars with the fantastic service and quality of food/hospitality. All finished with a lovely dessert ice cream cake & watermelon 🍉. Me and a couple of friends decided wanted to find somewhere to eat and Jilabi was suggested. I must say, I’m glad this suggestion was made. One of the best service experience I’ve witnessed. The staff were polite and hospitable. The food was nice. And the ambiance of the restaurant was just fantastic. Me and my friends thoroughly enjoyed our time there and was overwhelmed by the hospitality and service we received. We hope to return again in the future. If you’re in Birmingham and looking for somewhere to eat, Jilabi is the place - highly recommended.

Service was 5 star. They really make a great effort though outdoor drinking & smoking area are just perfect to wait around have drinks & chat with friends until you get your table. Visited for the first time yesterday for my birthday meal, the restaurant was crowded but we didn't have to wait as our table was booked. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They gave us a helpful advice on the menu and to top it off the food was fantastic spicy with right amount of 'heat' and really tasty as I had lamb chilli garlic with garlic naan and pilau rice. Good value for money ,lovely ambiance with a great customer service. Highly recommended!

Fine restaurant with too many staff in my opinion. They give you the feeling you are in a rush, even before I was seated they asked me if I would make use of there special offer. So I started with a drink, but they recommended to get drinks from the supermarket next door, crazy! The food is served pretty fast, the taste is good but nothing special. A dessert is included in the price, but nothing to be missed. Overall okey, but would not go back.

Food and service was brilliant! My partner had the chicken saagwala with chicken tikka rice and a mixed grill starter,I had the Punjabi lamb chops with slow cooked lamb in chefs signature gravy and it was all 10/10! Table service was excellent food came out steaming and very quick and even got given complimentary ice cream and chocolate fudge cake! It was an amazing place, with amazing food, friendly staff and the whole restaurant was so welcoming. All the food given was absolutely delicious, it tastes exactly like great Bangladeshi home cooked food, nothing can beat that. Went to celebrate my dads birthday and was going to late, had to call a few times but they were always so nice and said it was no problem. Cannot recommend this place enough, perfect for a family dinner and this was the best experience I’ve had yet. Will definitely be coming back again soon.

Good restaurant. Tasty food. We have booked early for 24 people. Accommodated very well. Good atmosphere. People who look after you are clean and well presented. Complimentary desert is the punch. Recommend.

A good restaurant with a modern decor and plenty of staff to assist you. I found however that they were too attentive with continuous upsells that I did not want. On being seated, I had already been asked if I wanted drinks or any poppadoms without any chance to review the menu. The drink menu was taken away from the table and I had to get up myself to get another one. The staff should allow time for the customer to settle down before selling immediately to them. I also had to wait a while to the point I had to get up to the bar and pay the bill myself! In regards to food quality, this was to a high standard and is relative to the price on the menu. The bar staff were particularly enthusiastic in their manner. I would visit again but bare the above in mind if you are visiting. Complimentary after dinner ice cream, fruit and sweets were given. The restaurant was clean and tidy.

AMAZING PLACE. One of my favorite restaurants in the whole world. The food is soo good but the service is next level. You are literally ALWAYS taken care of. There must be an average of 2 servers per table, and they take care of everything. We didn't even have to touch the menu because they fed us the most perfectly balanced meal. The meat was so tender, the curry soo flavorful, naan was fresh, and the chicken was so soft and juicy. I could go on forever. A true must. We were in Birmingham for a week and we went 3 nights. They even bring you dessert and coffee at the end.

Travelled from South Wales to visit and was not disappointed. Very friendly lovely staff. Had a Dal and a lamb dish complimentary as well as poppadoms to begin with. Then complimentary dessert, mishti (sweets) and coffee. Couldn't ask for more. Didn't manage to eat it all so had a goody bag to take home. Felt guilty of being so spoilt so had to leave a tip. We wasn't expecting such amazing service and food quality when we stopped at this venue yesterday. We (3 kids 2 adults/) were made welcome as son as we walked and from that point onward Pav took so much good care of me and my family.. we were sent food after food after more food.. And when we finally said it was over we were sent a massive selection of cold watermelon and other fruits and cakes/ice cream and Indian desserts.. It was an experience. This local Indian restaurant is excellent, serves delicious food, and creates a family atmosphere in the restaurant. I’ve been going to this restaurant since I was 10, I’m now 31 - if that doesn’t speak for itself, I’m not sure what will. If you’re looking for a takeaway or to dine in, this is the Indian for you. Great discounts available on collection and it’s advised to use their own website rather than JustEat. Staff are knowledgable and take time to welcome all guests. My favourite items are the Chicken Tikka Purée, Chicken Tikka Masala, and a garlic nann bread. ENJOY!

i went with some friends to Jilabi on a Thursday evening. The place was busy with couples and parties of up to 10 people. The waiter who greeted us was warm and welcoming. The place is licenced so catered for all. When placing the order the waiter explained that all curries are medium rated for hotness but you can specify mild or hot if you so wish.We order starters and mains. The food was very good and I have to say the hot curry I specified was perfect for my taste buds. We were then served complementary coffee/tea, ice cream, and a nightcap. This was most welcome. The bill was very reasonable as well. Most enjoyable evening.

Service as always is lovely, dedicated, lots of freebies. The food wasn't great on this visit though, the curries didn't feel spicy enough, and the chips felt reheated in a microwave. The rice was lovely. It's a cheap, cheerful place to go, with excellent service, but the food feels rushed sometimes.

We were staying at Genting hotel for a work conference and were recommended the Jilabi by them. We had excellent service as soon as we walked in. The manager welcomed the 6 of us in, asked us if we wanted him to pick food for us, then proceeded to deliver some of the best curries we have ever had. Also gave us complimentary desserts and drinks. An amazing restaurant and very, very welcoming. Only 10 minutes taxi from the Vox.

10 of us went in as we were in the area for 2 nights and after a while of looking through the menu asked if we could just have a service of platters incorporating most things off the menu for starters, mains and dessert. Good food and service and it'll sound a bit strange, but too many freebies for us. We wanted to go but with the cake, coffee, another cake for the birthday boy, shot or baileys and then waiting for the bill we were there 45 minutes longer than we wanted to be. Had to go to the bar to pay in the end. If a table asks for the bill please don't bring free stuff and if your offering free stuff ask the table if they want it before bringing it.

Went here tonight for the Sunday buffet to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I have to say the food was wonderful (the chicken tikka puree was out of this world!) and the service faultless. Thankyou to all at Jilabi. Especially "H", he made my family's Sunday night out so relaxing and went way past the extra mile . Just nothing was too much trouble. The Malbec wine was smooth, not ice cold and very drinkable.the food was perfect and the service just right. Overall I was really impressed with this restaurant. The decor was good but not overbearing. The waiters were very attentive and brought everything we asked for at a fair speed. The food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. And at the end (which was a really nice surprise but really finished off the meal perfectly) they brought over a complementary dessert plate for each of us. Ours had a strawberry, piece of watermelon, scoop of ice cream and slice of chocolate cake. They didn't charge us for it and it was perfect. I've taken off a star because we booked a table and it wasn't ready when we arrived, so we had to stand around awkwardly for almost 15 minutes until we were finally given a table.

Came here whilst on an overnight stay in Solihull on the recommendation of my brother in law. We had a fabulous meal. Kalam and his colleagues made us very welcome and really looked after us well. The food was superb and if we are ever in this part of the country again we will be back.

However as my husband asked for tongs to the waiter that served us he was very rude! Saying he should be patience, his hands are burning in a not very polite tone. My husband didn't want to create a scene so didn't say anything. We can see they were buzy but we are paying customers and no need to speak to anyone like that and more so someone the age of his father!! All he had to say was " yes of course and smile". Besides that it was a good experience & yummy food. We came from Northampton, don't think will return .

We have ordered twice from Jilabi in the space of a couple of days. The customer service is excellent and the food is worth the price you pay. Very polite staff, helped with recommendations and took on board how to personalise the food to our taste. We have eaten a good selection of items and not a single dish can be faulted! Everything was exquisite and cooked to perfection. One of our favourites is the chicken tikka puree - which exceeded our expectations and will be a regular for us! The butter chicken was really creamy and good balance of sauce and chicken. We loved that there is a lovely selection of salad and the portions of everything is so generous, unlike other places we have eaten at. My wife doesn't usually eat Indian takeaway but much to my surprise Jilabi's is the only Indian she gets excited to eat from now! Cannot praise the food, service and general care from here. After reading the reviews on google, we thought we’d try this place to eat on the way back from Lake district to London and our stop-over for the night. The staff are friendly enough and the food is ok. Giving 5 stars as they tried to make us very welcome, offered on the house, sides, dessert, tea. I was ready to leave a large tip, but after seeing charges for items we never asked like £15 for popadums, left us wondering, but still we left a reasonable tip. Would I go back YES, but unlikely to be in that part of B'ham again.

Amazing service. The food is great but the service is top class. EDIT, 09/10/21. I originally gave 4 stars and i still stand by the fact the food is great and the service is OVERALL great. However 2 negatives today reduce it by 2 stars. Hopefully i can increase that back when we next use them. Firstly the delivery was booked for 6.15pm and this was when ordering about an hour before so plenty of notice. By 6.30pm it hadn't arrived. When i called, although polite, there wasn't an apology. It then arrived about 6.40. To consider we ordered just after 5pm and were very hungry that's a decent delay. Secondly we ordered popadoms too and none arrived. Due to their low cost and the rest of the food we had, i didn't call about this.

Beautiful decorated venue with EXCELLENT staff. Had my sisters engagement party here. The staff and manager (Mr Rauf) could not have been more helpful or accommodating. (To the point of when asked for paracetamol, Mr Rauf sent one of his staff out to get some for us). Every item of food was excellent (starters: lamb chops, roast chicken, vegetable samosa - this was particularly good! Mains: meat curry, chicken curry, biryani, naan, dessert - cake with ice cream) with generous sized portions. The day went smoothly and stress free. Staff were very attentive throughout. We visited Jolabi back in 2012 when it was a much smaller restaurant when we came down from Scotland for the wedding show at the NEC and on this visit we had the BEST curry we have ever had and amazing service so it only seemed right to go back and try it again tonight while we were in Birmingham again. We found Jilabi by chance back in 2012 as it was just a short walk from the Travelodge we were staying in at the time. We travelled from the other side of Birmingham tonight especially though. 2012 - best curry I’ve ever had, 2020 - still the best curry I’ve ever had!!! Keep up the amazing work guys. Went to Jilabi last night for the 1st time for my father in-laws 60th birthday. As soon as we entered they gave us a warm welcome and seated us down. The place is very nicely decorated and cosy. I have to say the service is on another level at this restaurant. We eat out a lot and I cannot think of a place that had service this amazing. Also as we are Asian the even gave us suggestions for food which would be for our taste like a little extra spice etc. We all loved the food there. They even brought a small cake with candle for the birthday and got us to sing Happy birthday without even having to ask! I cannot recommend this place enough. Make sure you all visit!

When it's super busy, it's super busy... But still they look after you. The buffet times are great value, but whenever I've been, they've always looked after us, and I've never seen an unhappy customer while I'm there. I have to conclude that they busy try really really hard to keep their customers happy. The staff seem happy too, and have an informal friendly rapport among themselves and their customers. I haven't even mentioned the food yet have I? 😂 It's not bad at all. I'm Indian, so not readily impressed by an Indian restaurant. I can't fault it really, apart from occasionally the salad can look a bit tired, but if you let them know; they'll change it out. They have so many versions of everything that you're bound to love one of the versions (I'm quite difficult to please on lamb curry for example, but they have three or four varieties; and one was absolutely perfect to me (I can't remember the name of it right now unfortunately, so you'll have to try them all! 😜). Finally pricing. Not the cheapest of the cheap, but still very reasonable. My mother didn't complain, so it can't be all that bad!

This restaurant is truly a diamond in the rough. The customer service was immaculate compared to other places I've been to; the staff were very patient whislt I chose my order and the food all priced reasonably. The manager was very welcoming as he both greeted us and thanked us for coming, offering coffee just before we left. Went here for a Monday night meal, prior to Easter weekend. Arrived for an 8pm table and was quickly seated (we had booked, but there was room for a walk in). It was surprisingly busy and had a good atmosphere. We nibbled on popadums and ordered our food, selecting from a well structured menu, offering "street" food, Bengali, balti and Desi style. Three of us picked fish starters, all of which were well seasoned and tasty. We had a mixture of main courses (there were six of us dining) along with rice and naan bread. No complaints from anyone, with the fresh and well seasoned ingredients. We intended to finish there but were offered complimentary gateau & ice cream, followed by a serving plate of Indian sweets. No takers for this (too full) but I tasted two items, although I felt a little regretful afterwards. Overall, the quality of the food was excellent and the service efficient. The restaurant doesn't have a drinks license (regular patrons brought their own), but we weren't too bothered with this (a Tesco was just a few doors away if this needed to be rectified). Excellent!

Just Superb! This restaurant is located on the Birmingham bound side of the A45, a few miles from B'ham Airport. The dining room is very large but nicely appointed. I was with two colleagues, we dined like Lords but could only rack the bill up to £62.00 for the three of us - all three of us thought the value for money was extraordinary, coupled with the most courteous staff, I have encountered in a very long time. Wine and beer can be purchased very near to the restaurant at supermarket prices- which is very convenient

It was my first visit to Jilabi as I stay in Manchester. I was truly impressed with the exceptional service and quality of food. Decor was welcoming and surprisingly the restaurant was completely full by 6pm on Saturday. We were a walk-in at 5.30 pm and got a place straight away. I generally have an issue with Indian food in typical restaurants because my kid loves Indian food but doesn't eat spicy food. While I eat super spicy. They were able to cater to us really well. Food was delicious and one of the best I have eaten in UK. For the first time my son finished the whole dish on his own and wanted to reorder :) I have never come across a restaurant where dishes are priced competitively (on lower side) but in addition to this they provide salad, raita/curd, as well as desserts and tea/coffee complimentary. I was surprised to know that they didn't have a dessert menu as they provide dessert as complimentary!!! Chocolate cake slice, ice cream and a slice of watermelon and strawberries. Overall they've impressed me and I will definitely visit Jilabi whenever I visit Birmingham.

Food is decent I would say for Indian taste buds. Clean and flavourful. I would want to say exceptional but chewy lamb shanks and lamb biryani with bell peppers is not my liking. Their complimentary desert and tea/coffee is something I admire the most. It makes the meal a value for money. Who doesn't feel that when you get a scoop of ice cream, a generous portion of chocolate cake and a refreshing watermelon piece :) Only problem I had was they assured they will hold the table when we said we will be late but gave it away and there no space for us to wait as well. It was uncomfortable since we were a group of 12. Will go back again. Suggestion: Please forego 2 tables and put up a waiting area, space near your bar is barely enough for people to walk by

i cant get over how amazing this place is! im from ireland, only over for a show in the NEC and picked this place randomly, ive never experienced service like this, the place was packed but we didnt have to wait for a seat, one was made instantly for us but we werent on top of another table. the staff were so friendly and treated everyone like royalty! after an amazing meal we got complimentary...coffee, icecream, sweets and baileys! they just kept giving!! one waiter even put my jacket on for me when i was leaving! id actually go back to Birmingham just to visit here again!

If you are Asian then you won't like the food because of lack of flavour and no love is put into making their food. If you are of a European ethnicity (white) (NOT BEING RACIST) then you will definitely love this place because compare to what you normally eat this is more flavoursome and spicy. Btw. I first visited Jilabi whilst doing an exhibition at the NEC last year and the food was incredible. We have been twice in the last three days and the food has been equally good if not better. On Saturday night there were literally hundreds of people yet the high levels of service and quality of the food remained the same. Tonight we have been treated like royalty, with every member of staff polite and attentive to our needs, and even the floor manager bringing out our food, explaining the dishes and the accompaniments, and making time to stop and chat to us. At around £25 per head including beers, you won't find better food or service anywhere for this price let alone in birmingham. Tonight we have been served poppadoms, mixed grill starting platters, curries, complimentary ice creams, and fresh fruit salad, chocolate cake, coffee, mints, complimentary liqueurs, and even more coffees to finish. I literally cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you are even remotely in the vicinity, you need to check this place out. Just make sure you starve yourself a month or so in advance so you can fit everything in ;-) to summarise, great food, great service, bargain prices. Get yourself down there you won't be disappointed. Remember to book at weekend because it WILL be mega busy. Imo ignore anyone who has written a poor review, I have eaten Indian food all over the country and this is as good as anywhere. Just look at how busy it is. This many people can't all be wrong!

I had been away on a business trip and had been recommended jalebi by the hotel manager I was staying in, we went there two nights in a row it was that good, absolutely fantastic service, Pav in particular looked after myself and other colleagues extremely well. Colleagues of jalebi provided excellent service and food, they are really down to earth people! Definitely give them a visit as they will not let you down!!

Amazing food and hilarious waitors. These guys know how to cook good Indian food (I'll stick my neck out and say the best in Birmingham). They know how to have a laugh, and are smartly dressed wandering around checking you are ok and having banter with you. I've been twice and both times we were offered a free dessert which was a very nice touch. Price wise it definitely isn't cheap. But you get what you pay for I reckon. If you haven't been it's definitely worth a shout.

Guys what a place!!! So much food to try and Sunday Monday is buffet night. We were served so much we had to take away. Abdul the Manager is amazing guy he looked after us so well and Mohin too served us and took care of everything can’t recommend enough this place. God bless

My husband and I ordered from here on a Tuesday evening and the food arrived piping hot within the hour. The extensive menu offered a variety of dishes and we opted for a chicken tikka pathia, lamb madras, prawn jhal and tarka Dahl with garlic naan and special naan. We were also given lamb chops and salad for free which was a really nice touch. Takeaway lamb chops tend to be dry and overcooked but these lamb chops were so juicy and just tasted amazing! The pathia and the dhal tasted delicious and the other curries were quite average but still flavoursome. I will definitely be ordering from here again to try a few other dishes from the menu.

The customer service here is 5*. Food is delicious and the price is excellent value for money. I cannot recommend enough. Just be sure to book a table if you go on a Friday or Saturday evening, place can get rammed, which still doesn't effect your experience. Banter is to be had with the staff.
