Reviews of Ken Ho Restaurant
Nice traditional Chinese food offering traditional dim sums. Fresh, good quality, could improve on customer service. But overall the best place for dim sum Chinese in Birmingham.
Highly recommend!
Food is very good quality

Best place for Dim sum in Birmingham. Very authentic Hong Kong style dim sum and wok fried dishes. Friendly staff as well.
(Translated) Good service attitude and delicious food The sauce of the Thai style wind claw is a bit too thick.. Also ordered the vegetarian sausage noodles with hoisin sauce which is amazing! The signature fried rice noodles are so fragrant and very hot! It is much more delicious than a pavilion, but the seats are crowded, it is better to book a seat...

Absolutely gorgeous dim sum, service was top notch as well! Authentic Cantonese cuisine. The uncles and brothers of the waiters are very kind. I have been thinking about the morning tea for a long time, it is so delicious😋
I have brought all my friends to eat here so many times, and I can say that the food at Double Happiness has never been a problem. I also know all the male staff there, and they are all dedicated and caring in serving the guests. The only exception is the female staff member who served us the food while wearing a mask. Even if you are really mute, we can still feel your attitude. From the beginning to the end, my friend and I were the ones saying thank you. This woman didn't reply a word or even smile. It was as if we owed her 50 million. I don’t understand it, and I will never bring my friends here again. It’s totally baffling that I can’t feel happy even after having a meal.
As a regular customer I've never been disappointed with the food here, however the waitress is so cold weird and creepy that I've decided not to dine in anymore. All the waiters are nice tho, thanks a lot.
This is a Chinese-style restaurant. Although the area is not very large, you can taste the taste of Hong Kong (some dim sum are really good, others are OK). You can eat the long-lost "fried rice dumplings" here. Enjoy them. Food needs to be parked in expensive parking lot
The food is of high quality and the snacks are generous in size
Delicious, rice rolls are just average, everything else is delicious
(Translated) It's so delicious and the price is good. Close to the city centre. Only cash is possible. There's also a cash machine nearby so don't worry about it!

너무 맛있고 가격또한 괜찮네요. 시티센터에서 가깝습니다. 현금만 가능하나. 근처 캐시머신도 있으니 걱정말고 중국요리먹으로 고고!
Boiled tea and delicious snacks are great, but the waiter service is numb, especially the fat girl
Authentic and big portion dimsum, reasonably priced too. A good spot for fellow Asian to cure thier dimsum craving.
Tasty Haomeis signature photo attracts

Super delicious Cantonese food, a bit pricey but definitely worth the money.
Great restaurant, Delicious Food, Friendly Staff, Lovely atmosphere, Reasonable Priced, Recommended and definitely will return.
Very clean. Authentic Chinese dishes. Reasonable service.
Kung pao chicken (Sichuan style) Was not spicy at all (maybe because I was white),and mostly bones (authentic.. Sadly). Triple assorted meats had good portion of rice with it. Meats were quite fatty but good clean taste otherwise.
Great Roast Duck,Crispy Pork,Choi and Soups. Friendly staff.Well done 🤙🏻✨
Love this little gem in Birmingham Chinatown. Food is delicious.
Foods are great! Will be visiting again!
This is real old school style dimsum. Haven't had dimsum like this for years. Durian puffs are massive with plenty of durian. Have a lot of very old school dimsum such as quail egg siu mai as well as charge chaan teng classics such as minded beef egg rice. Highly recommended
Very friendly service and good food. Would definitely recommend.
Originally we were going to Chung Ying but after being grunted at by one waiter that it would take 20 min and turned away by another who said they were full booked we were really glad to have found Ken Ho.
I've never had a bad meal from this place. The food is really good. I was surprised they served dim sum in the evening. This was a first for me, so we took advantage with a few dishes. The size of the dim sum are pretty big compared to other restaurants.
Great food! Friendly staff!
Good service, authentic Cantonese cuisine. Highly recommended.
Amazing food and brilliant service! Definitely coming back! :)
Good food and very good service. Waiters are friendly . Would visit again.
I honestly enjoyed the dishes and service, fantastic location to my home. The employees are always very friendly. Will visit here again.
Great service and tasty food. Authentic Chinese food. They accommodated for us to bring a cake and have it presented to my mother-in-law for her birthday. One star knocked off for insufficient toilet facilities.
2 of us popped in before a show, 5 lots of Dim Sum, a Jasmine tea and a beer all for £23. The Din Sum was big, much bigger than the commercial stuff in the food chain places you'll find in the expensive shopping mall food courts. All cooked fresh, packed with flavour and you can't compare it to the bland stuff you get in food courts or Yo Sushi, it is way above that stuff. If you can't speak Chinese simply point to the pictures of the dim sum you want and they bring it out. It was good, so good that the place was full of Chinese people eating and they wouldn't be there if it wasn't good. I'd go there again and spend a lot longer grazing!
Hungry in Birmingham city centre? Well, this place has made a good impression on me for a few reasons during my visit to an uncle last week.
First, the prices aren't too bad, much less than London prices at least.
Second, my mum is in a wheelchair and even though there are 2 steps up to the main glass doors, they are quite shallow and easy to negotiate, and the owners told us that will be installing a ramp in the future. Once inside, wheelchair access is easy enough as there's plenty of space.
Thirdly, the portion sizes are quite generous, we had quite a few dim sums and several came in quantities of 4 per portion whereas traditionally you would get 3. Even then, the actual individual items were also physically large as well. So win win!
Me and my husband go to this restaurant once a week. They always offer good service and delicious food. Some dishes even taste better than in Cantonese restaurant in China. Good place to have Cantonese dishes.
Was recommended by a friend and wasn't disappointed. Very nice and decently priced dim sum. Went there about 4pm on a Thursday and we were the only table that day. Staffs were having their meals time but that didn't keep them from providing a quick and good service. My favourite was the ox tripe which wasn't a commonly found dim sum.
Beautiful food & friendly staff!
First dim sum experience and it was amazing. Staff are very friendly, food is tasty.
Great and genuine Cantonese dim sum. All the dishes we order were delicious and beyond my expectation. The only flaw was the restaurant being small and extremely popular so we had to wait 👀
Our go-to place for dim sum in Birmingham. Always full of Chinese customers (sometimes exclusively) so authenticity is guaranteed. Not as glitzy as other local offerings in Chinese quarter but feels much more like Hong Kong dining.
Very well prepared dim sum, loved the vegetables as well, and reasonable price. Highly recommended
Good selection of food and a great addition to Chinatown!
Great food, great service
This restaurant have always been improving.
Amazing place and there are foods you cant get anywhere else. The food is really good and staff are really friendly.
Definitely recommend the runny custard buns and the jellied pigs blood.
Great food and service.
What a great find! Delicious dim sum and Sichuan cuisine. Had wait about 15 minutes for a table but after that, the service was quick, efficient and friendly. Lots of choices food wise, but not overwhelmingly. Food was top quality and very flavourful. Cash only.
Lovely staff and food was served quickly and was absolutely delicious. Was one of the best chinese restaurants we've been too.
Best Chinese restaurant in Birmingham
Delicious food. My family eats here on days out all the time. The dim sum is, in my honest opinion, the best in Birmingham China town.
Stopped off for dim sum whilst visiting Birmingham and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Good quality food, attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere.
One of the better Chinese restaurants in Birmingham's China town. The food is decent. Staff could sometimes smile more or be enthusiastic.
Best Dim Sum in Birmingham
The best dim sum in the city.
Ghe best dim sim in Birmingham. Best dinner aswel. Only problem its quite small so not garenteed a table. I hope they expand somehow
Meal B for 2, with a beer & a softie was £55, so not cheap, but it was EXCELLENT!
It is probably the best Chinese meal I've had in several years!
Best Dim Sum in Birmingham.
We've been to quite a few dim sum restaurants around the UK, but Ken Hos is the one I'm always wanting to go back to. Some of the best Dim Sum you'll find, and some very friendly staff
Food is sumptuous. Price is reasonable. Clean. Staffs friendly. Will certainly visit again when in Birmingham, UK.
Nice place for Japanese Food
Amazing HK style restaurant with fantastic staff, the owner is brilliant- he works the floor with every one and is such a laugh, they own the bubble tea shop next door which is equally great, go check it out!
The portions are tremendous, the food is fresh and the food comes quick. One of the best Chinese restaurants among Birmingham.
Chinese crusine, fine Hong Kong style food. Dim sum and traditional dishes. Very good quality and quantity.
Excellent food. Best in Birmingham but can sometimes mean a long wait to be seated.
Great service and friendly staff. Very large portions for the price, but really tasty.
So so kind of food, nothing special & definitely overpriced. Staff seemed to be in a hurry to get rid of us!
Great food. Good choices. Staff were attentive and friendly.
Authentic Chinese cuisine, yummy food despite being pricey lol
One of Birmingham's foodie delights! Highly recommend! Excellent value, service and choice

Some of the best dim sum in Birmingham! 🤤🤤
Great dimsum, feel like it's even better than lots of dimsum places in London.
Good place for Dim Sum. Quite small and busy. Best to go there when it opens.
Great tasting food, good service and friendly staff.
ordinary, only one hour allowed for the tea time, not very inhuman.
What iv seen of this place and the meals look great can't wait to get there
Fantastic duck, pork and pak choi. Gentle ,friendly and efficient service.
Great food, great value, easy to reach from the train station
Second visit this autumn and not disappointed. Lovely service, food and atmosphere.

Very good soup. Tasty crab. Good service.
Tasty food but the portion sizes could be bigger
Tradition Chinese Food Good Services Reasonable Price
Most of the foods are so so in this place. However, changfen seems a not bad choice if you are looking to go to this place.
The Best Dim sum restaurant in Birmingham.
What a fantastic restaurant where we had a quick dim sum before leaving the city. We ordered Har Gow, Siu Mai, Cheung Fung, Char Siu, Turnip cake and rice noodle rolls in XO sauce plus drinks and it was about £30 - so much food for the price (maybe I'm used to London...) and all really delicious. The staff were very warm and welcoming and really looked after us, and the location is good - we sat right by the window watching the world go by. I'll definitely return here in the future if I'm passing through the city, and recommend to anybody who's info Chinese food and dim sum! Thanks Ken Ho ❤
