If there’s one brand that kickstarted the UK’s now popular trend of Halal McDonald’s- and Burger King-inspired restaurants, it’s Slamburger in Birmingham. First opening in 2012 as ‘Slam’ on Muntz Street in Small Heath, this fully Halal burger franchise now boasts eight restaurants across the country. In fact, the strength of their brand concept is such that since 2019 they have opened their last seven restaurants during one of the toughest periods for the food and drinks industry in recent memory. Used to be very good at one point, food was cold and the fries had way too much salt, good for a quick bite but there are better places for a sit down burger at similar price. Menu seems different now, thought I ordered a burger but turned out to be a sub with patties cheese and a rasher, I felt there was too much bread in this combo.

I have been a regular customer of Slam Burger for a while now but I always ordered online as it is one of the best Halal burger option with a great taste of burgers and fries. Not expensive with great hygiene. Their restaurant is really clean and kids friendly as they have placed the Tablets with games and colors for children. Balloon for children's and gifts with Kids meal. Really good experience highly recommended.

Basically a spin off mcdonalds, but in my opinion a lot better as the restaurant caters to all dietary preferences such as Halal which places like McDonald's do not. The food is great and the value is excellent. The service is quick, and portion sizes are also really good. Offer a wide variety of sauces and overall meals. would definitely recommend.

What can I say about this place ? It’s a halal version of McDonald’s and it does the job very well indeed . I got the Mega Slam from the gourmand section of the variety of burgers Slamburger offers . These were the first to start the trend of fast American take-away. I enjoyed the crispy McDonald style fries as well . Will definitely be ordering from here for many more years to come . I’ve always liked the food here but todays review is based on their customer service when Just Eats cancelled our order an hour after placing it. Slam were extremely professional and understanding and went the extra mile to ensure my order was fulfilled. Although the error was not on their part, they offered a solution via Uber Eats and offered to pay the delivery. I ended up collecting instead and they were even nicer in person. I've been in quarantine for over a week now and the food at the hotel is horrible. Luckily I was able to order Slamburger off Deliveroo and I was very impressed with the service and quality of their food. Went on the 2nd day of opening around 10 mins before closing. Ordered the big slam burger meal straight away and food came within 10 miniutes. Amazing food the basic cheeseburgers taste just like the ones from Dubai McDonald's which is a pleasant memory. The chilli cheese steak is something i recommend everyone needs to try as its delightful. The staff are friendly but can easily get frustrated so make sure you know what you want or go through the menu first before placing your order. There is space to sit down and eat and its a good family atmosphere too.

Very nice Burger place much better than Mcdo/Burger king We had Beef and Chicken Whoopers which were really nice as well as the Chicken Samurai. I definitely recommend this place (Y). I love this place. Food is mostly good. I have had some issues where i found the meat to be dry but overral the food is good and they "package" their burgers very well. Edit: forgot to mention I am disspointed that they changed the fries. The fries use to resemble the taste of McDonald's fries. But now it is just standard fries which is only ok. Burgers are still good but i wish they bring their old fries back.

If I had to summarise - it is an Asian halal McDonalds. The food is pretty decent and clean. Very reliable and is usually the same everytime. Like McDonald's it's decent, pretty cheap food that you can't go wrong with but it's nothing special you'd specifically go for.

I come here on occasions and Slam's never fail to deliver excellent food and services. The brothers here are very respectable, kind and patient people. I have two toddlers who love taking the balloons from the corner of the store during every visit. Its so lovely to see a halal-friendly restraunt with segregation and toy/activities such as colouring and balloons to keep kids entertained whilst they wait for the food to arrive. Highly recommend the Big Slam meal. Double decker beef burger. If you want cheese you have to request this even though its standard to add this in any burger. Also try out their Algerriene sauce! OMG its the only reason why I go there! SCRUMPTIOUS.

I can’t believe that there is a McDonald Halal in Birmingham. The last time I ate a Big Mac I think it was in Istanbul or Dubaï... This place is just amazing! So good, so big (burgers), so clean (place), so quick (service), so kind, friendly (staff) and so affordable. I have ordered the big slam burger (4 slices of meat on it 😋), beef whopper and cheeseburger and I really enjoyed everything. I’m living far from Ladypool Road but it’s worth traveling 2hours. I visited this establishment with colleagues from work as a means of a social activity. Upon arrival I was given a lackadaisical, casual but acceptance level of hospitality from the cashier. Upon review of the highly varied menu, I ordered a "360" burger meal - a burger containing 2 175g beef patties, Algerian sauce, turkey rashers and lettuce sandwiched with two powdered buns. This was accompanied by a side of fries and a tango cherry. The buns were disappointing in the sense that they did not feel they were of a good quality. Although soft to the touch, they did not offer much by way of taste contribution. The beef patties were of a medium to high quality and were well cooked despite being simple in terms of salts/spices. The saviour of the burger was truly the Algerian sauce which heightened the experience of the burger significantly. As a Muslim, I understand this sauce to be a blessing from the lord above. In conjunction with the lightly salted fries and a tango cherry can, I highly enjoyed my meal overall. As a final thought, my experience was made more valuable by enjoying it with good hearted folk around me. I recommend this establishment for a future visit.

Came to this place to try it out since it has a good reputation. Upon trying the food though I wasn't very impressed. Burgers were average and chicken wings with Algerian/BBQ sauce were not as nice as they looked. The wings were very hard and the sauce was applied conservatively so I could hardly taste it. Overall the price came quite high (around £10) for a single meal. Overall I don't think this place should be as highly rated as it is.

Children are catered for well, the establishment offers children meal boxes similar to the ones at macdonalds with toys etc, as well as that balloons and crayons for the little ones to happily play whilst you can eat in peace The food it self is lovely, burgers are always well prepared and served appropriately, cost wise I would say you'll pay a little bit more than you would for an average burger but the quality is alot better so overall I have no issues with that.

There are many people have been waiting in the queue very patiently to take their orders and the staff needs to have more training about customer service. I don't know why most people are very adamant of trying new things and they should realise how to change their lifestyle. The food was nice but when the staff needs to clean up the surface area for the customers to come in and sit down to have their meals with their friends and families. Nice place, good food. I came here after watching Pakistans victory over New Zealand yesterday and I can say that it was a good way to end a great day. The place itself looked very smart and had plenty of seating. I ordered the Mixed Wooper burger meal. It was made up of a grilled chicken breast and a grilled burger patty. It was delicious. The fries tasted similar to Macdonald's. They also do what I recall being called the Algerian sauce, or something to that effect. This was really tasty with the burger and the fries. I paid around £7 for the meal so a little more than your average burger meal but the quality is better than your average burger meal so it was certainly worth it.

They need to heat the burger (even put microwave for 15s seconds before serving). The fries was exactly like McDonald's, again could do with being hotter. I came inside today and made an order for two burger meals and portion of nuggets. As i do, check the bag before i left. I noticed instead of nuggets there was wings. Which by accident they put instead. Immediately they rectified this by getting me my nuggets and apologised repeatedly. I said i didnt want the wings but they insisted keep them because would just go to waste. I was quite shocked how much good customer service they had. If you want a place just like this in London head to BIMS. Expect to be in the que for atleast an hour or longer because they are ALWAYS busy. I have been ordering from SLAMS since they first opened. As a MUSLIM myself and as a woman, these brothers have so much hayaa and respect for people. They give extra care and attention to families with young children. Are very well mannered and always happy to help. Their prices are reasonable and cheap, being surrounded by high prices restaurants this is the perfect place to grab a cheap yet tasty bite.
