The service at Tapas Revolution was speedy and friendly. The staff clearly knew the menu inside out and it showed. We had 6 tapas dishes between us, all of which were fantastically cooked and seasoned, I’d definitely eat here again within a heartbeat. Also the sangria was delicious!

Nice little tapas restaurant in Grand Central above the station, service was friendly, food was mostly good, but probably a little over priced for what it is. We wanted to try something a little different, but probably won't circle back for some time as there are many more places to try and it wasn't good enough to make it onto our regulars list.

Positives : great tasting dishes.. friendly staff.. Negatives : food menu extremely small writing difficult to read : tables too small for ordering a mixture of tapas : tables too close to the next table difficult to have a 'personal' conversation also shopping 🛍 bags made it difficult to get out once the meal was finished.. no finger wash bowls if you order the gambas in garlic and parsley oil only a small lemon hard wet wipe. Maybe I expected more than a very 'rushed & squashed' tapas experience for my £88 for 2 people at lunchtime ?..

I visited this restaurant on a date with my boyfriend on Friday, and was very very happy with our experience! We usually go to yo sushi next door, but thought we would try something different, and we always liked the look of this place. We had 6 dishes of some of the most delicious food I have ever eaten. The sausage tapas dish (I can't remember the name) was my favourite! And also the potato dish too. The food came out so quickly it was amazing. The staff are so so so friendly and very helpful the whole time we were there. I'm not completely sure but I think the waitress was called Yaiza? She was so nice! Really made us feel welcome and made our experience even better. My boyfriend tried their homemade lemonade and it was so lemony it was delicious! I had the sangria and unfortunately it went to my head a bit since I'd already had a couple drinks, but it was very delicious while I could still enjoy it 😂.

I was walking past this restaurant, just looked at the menu and had no intention of coming in. The conversation with Frank the Manager made me comfortable, I decided to give it a try. The service was impeccable, I tried the prawns served as though l was at the beach. I enjoyed the whole experience. The head chef Luis recommended the prawns and came back to see if I enjoyed the. The service from all of the staff was second to none. Lovely 😍 all the staff were great. On the head chefs recommendation, I will be back to try the cheesecake.

A trendy restaurant with good quality tapas offerings that are fresh and of good quality and taste. Tried the vegetarian and vegan options which are limited but were excellent. A portion of churros can be enjoyed by two. Definitely worth trying.

Very busy place at least when we visited. Had to wait for a table but wasn't long before we were seated. Quite an extensive menu and we tried quite a few dishes. Food and Service was superb and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Sat at the bar and enjoyed some fantastic tapas with a beer, managed to get the three tapas for £18 at the time I went. Food was excellent, felt more like Spanish tapas which can be hard to find, staff were friendly and it was a great experience. There was also a large seating area available.

We were greeted with samples of the food and a friendly face which set the atmosphere for the rest of our visit! Phenomenal service, we had 37 minutes between connecting trains. We told them this on arrival they sat us close to the kitchen to get us our food as quickly as possible. All our food was delivered within 15 minutes and we were out the door within 30 and made our connection. The food was really good as well. Highly recommended.

Visited yesterday with my daughter before attending a show. Due to train delays we were running behind and I mentioned this to the server and asked what the wait times would be. They were absolutely amazing and really accommodating, had us fed with delicious food in no time. Thank you Sandra and Mihai for a lovely experience. You might not expect much from a restaurant in a train station but Tapas Revolution is always my first choice of tapas restaurant in Birmingham. Pleasant staff, great food, quick service and a relaxed atmosphere. On my last visit, Giselle was particularly helpful as are all the staff, which is why I keep going back.

Amazing place in New Street station! We ordered loads of tapas. It was all delicious, tasted fresh, and rightly came as soon as each plate was ready. 3 plates per person seems the right amount. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff made it a great experience.

Delicious food and a nice view over the train station. It is pretty expensive, but you are nicely introduced to the concept o tapas and Spanish cuisine. The staff is greeting you in Spanish. If you are looking for food quality, this is one of the places you should dine. By the way, they have a refreshing ice-cold traditional sangria, recommend.

Me and my girlfriend came in on Sunday the 10th of April. We sat by the window on the right when you come in. We had tried a range of starters, tapas, drinks and mains and many of the foods were a different style to what we usually eat (I believe the food was Spanish but my girlfriend is Slovak and I am Pakistani so we do not try different food often) it was well cooked. The tables were very clean which we liked as we aren't fussy but hygiene is important to us. Overall the drinks and food seemed to be very affordable as we enjoyed a large number of items but the bill only totaled to roughly just over £90. I think the best part of this was the service. We were hosted/looked after by Valentino who was very welcoming and patient and was happy to offer some good recommendations. I don't know the best word to describe him but I think Zesty is a good word as he had a great energy and was very enthusiastic. My favourite thing was that he seemed to be very aware of the environment for example he noticed me immediately whenever I needed something e.g. food, drink or tissues. I didn't need to wave him over or wait for him to come check on us, he just knew when we needed something and was right over. Very impressed by him he is clearly very experienced. I wanted to write this review on the same day but I got caught up in some work but I remembered today when my girlfriend was talking about how lovely it was at Tapas Revolution and was saying we should go again. Thanks for your wonderful service Valentino I hope to come by and see you all soon.

Just passing through the train station on a Thursday afternoon, noticed a nice bottle of Nordes and suggested a cheeky gin and tonic to my wife, an hour later nearly forgot it was Thursday. We didn't eat this time but definitely will next time. Staff were great and food looks amazing. We have been back several times and we were right about the food, fresh, tasty and authentic.

Great food and great service!! We went on a Saturday afternoon and despite being busy all staff were smiling and super nice specially our lovely server, Katerina! What a great team the staff are at this bar. We stopped by for an impromptu glass of fizz on our way to a meal elsewhere for my wife's birthday. On our departure, out of nowhere came a a plate of churros with chocolate & a candle. A verse of cumpleanos feliz followed. Great touch.

What a guy, what a person, what a human being… amazing I was struggling, I was tired, my meeting ran late, the bus was late, the train was then late and i ended up in Birmingham new street hungry and tired. I got takeaway food but wanted a beer, I walked past Tapas revolution and thought I could get an easy beer, I hovered. Farai saw me and gestured to ask if I wanted a drink, I said yes, he pointed where to sit. He saw my tiredness, he saw my distress and did exactly what I wanted - keep it simple, he asked “beer?” I said yes, he offered two beers, I chose one. He said “pint?” I said yes… Then I sat and had that beer and some lovely (quickly delivered) food, started to feel myself again and found an inspiring and enthusiastic barman who talked to me gave me energy with his style and charisma. It truly was pleasure talking to Farai. When two others customers joined the bar they appeared not to want big engagement as they were with friends so he scaled back and was extremely professional. What brilliance to have accommodating style for different people. A skill much undervalued but if you’ve worked in hospitality you’d know, knowing what people want and how they want it is invaluable. When I paid I offered a tip, his response to ask me to write a positive review of Tapas Revolution Birmingham New Street. This person is a huge credit to your establishment and without him I have no doubt you would have less business (you certainly wouldn’t have mind). Give him a rise, give him a bonus because Farai’s natural energy, enthusiasm and customer awareness is rare to find.

Mui bien! I don't live locally and I only come to Birmingham once in a while, but when I do, this is THE place I go to eat. A busy Saturday lunchtime service, but excellently looked after by Luis and Marta. Great food, great service with churros and barraquitos to round off our lunch. Fantastic thank you very much. Keep up the excellent work. Oh, and if you've never had a barraquito, you're missing out!

Beautiful flavoursome food. Great service with a smile. Enjoyed all the different flavors of food which all brought a unique taste. I would definitely recommend and bring my friends and family here. Great atmosphere. And definitely if you never tried a sangria before go for the white wine one it was so yummy. It's certainly lives up to it's name. Calamari was chrispy and just the way I like it. Garlic herb king prawns were not over cooked which some places get wrong. My favorite dish of the night would be the paella with chicken. If you ask the staff for recommendations definitely take It as they know what they are talking about.

Love this place. Been here a few times now. Luke to sit at the bar and watch them working. They atmosphere is great. The staff are Spanish and all the ingredients are Spanish too. Sometimes the staff just start singing! Extensive wine list plus cocktails, sangria and shorts served here too. I've had the Spanish style English breakfast before but last time I felt very sick eating it as it was swimming in fat and they agreed it looked bad and gave me refund, free food that lunch time and juice to cleanse my pallet. Absolutely delicious! Love the flavours. We had the classico set menu with an additional Patatas Bravas side - great for a couple with one vegetarian and one meat eater. Really filling and plenty of options. Decent value. Only downside was that the bread was a bit stale. In any case, we'll definitely be back!

Although what I ate was nice, ploy just seems to be try and get them spending more. As seen, the dish size is quite small and the recommend buying three dishes. Maybe its because it was my first time and as I'm not used to this style of service, it felt like how i rated it. This dish costs a little over £5 and it wasnt filling.

We had a fantastic trip to Tapas Revolution Birmingham as part of a hen do weekend. We enjoyed loads of delicious tapas dishes and sangria between 7 of us. Not one of the dishes was a disappointment! We then enjoyed a cocktail making class which was so much fun! Yaiza and Alfonso took great care of us, getting every one of us involved in the fun games where we competed against each other to make the best cocktails. Nice place, good food and nice staff. I’m a Spanish speaker and so are all the staff! The food is 80% authentic although not as good as mi abuelitas😂. I couldn’t award five stars due to a lack of toilet ( you have to use the grand central toilets which are always full!) and also you used to do a half chicken with patatas bravas lunchtime deal which no longer exists.

We also noticed on our bill that there was optional service charge (10%) added to the total but when he bought the machine over the total (with the service charge) was already on the card machine.

Lovely food, however, we brought the set menu to share and it wasn't really enough there for the both of us. The waitress was lovely also, but there comes a time when you like to enjoy your meal in peace instead of being interrupted every 3/4 minutes to come over to my daughter and play games.. also, you do not clear off the table before you have finished all tapas dishes, and clean the table before we have asked for the bill. This leaves the customer feeling rushed to leave.

Lovely food. Shame about the chaotic service. First, they lost our booking. Then they had no idea of the deposit we paid for the booking. Then they forgot about some of the food we ordered. As a result, it took over an hour for one member of our group to get his food, after some of us had started. This is my go-to tapas place, because it's both delicious and reasonably priced. The only issue is that it can get really cold in there because it's in Grand Central, though this has been improved by them adding their own windows. If you're looking for great tapas in Birmingham, this is the place.

It's not an intimate resturant, it's a tapas bar & a good one at that with a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be returning for a second visit soon. This place does very nice tapas ( Starters in spanish) , I bought some calamar fritos( fried squid) and the tortilla (Spanish omelette) as part of the lunch time deal and I must say I was very satisfied with the food not only was the service quick but the food was very tasty as well I would highly reccommend to get the calamar fritos as it was some of the best calamari I ever had in the UK. The only thing I can fault is that the tapas are a bit pricey for the quantity that you get but none the less the food was still great and overall I enjoyed my experience

The belly pork, either the ham or cod croquettes, and the torrija all stand out in my memory, but everything I've had there has been great. And a good selection of craft beers to go with your food. This is my experience and opinion from the first time there. Rated 'ok' because I did not disliked the food, wasn't bad but the hygiene is equally as important: I've been to spain and have an iberian background and know it's not custom to serve food in a strange unhygineic manner without apologising to the customer, anywhere in the world! The waitress might have been ignorant about how to serve food to others as she also purposedly slid the cured meat on a piece paper off the wooden tray directly to the table. I had to pick the cured meat that was only supported by a thin piece of paper and moved it to an actual plate. I normally eat any kind of meat off a plate and not off a table. don't know who eat eats like this at a spanish restaurant but I had to ask a spanish waiter and he told me he had previous complaints about this waitress. Her behaviour was disgusting and ignorant. Weirdest experience I had so far in any restaurant.
