What an experience! We were absolutely impressed by the service because we made a last minute reservation and they seated us in the main dining room so short notice despite us not booking it. We were here for our 1st wedding anniversary and they made it a night to remember. The food was impeccable 👌 truly mouth watering. The cocktails were flamboyant sophisticated and cool. The service was above and beyond, so quick and efficient. I dropped my knife a fresh one was on my table in less than 30 seconds (I didn't even ask). 100% COMING BACK!

Absolutely loved our dining experience here. Everything was superb - the food, the ambiance but most specially the service. Our server was a very friendly gentleman who was extremely knowledgeable of their dishes and had his own recommendations of what to order. It's a shame I wasn't able to get his name. All of the dishes were superb but the duck pancakes was definitely the highlight of our meal. It was definitely the best one that we've had and that's saying a lot because we always order aromatic duck whenever we see it on the menu. I definitely recommend and we will be back for sure.

Service and hospitality was shockingly bad. 40 minutes to get a menu and a drink, the floor manager clearly annoyed at staff and guests and not afraid to show it. Customers are trying to support restaurants now more than ever but something is broken here and needs fixing.

Two minutes walking from Birmingham Snowhill train station, this place has a beautiful ambience. It serves delicious and authentic Chinese food. Just taking one star off as the portion in the starter dishes were very small. Overall very nice experience and food.

What a night! Came here for a 25th celebration and it was one of the best nights out in a restaurant we’ve had! We were greeted by a lovely friendly staff member who showed us to the bar where we had a drink whilst we waited for our table. The cocktails are on the more expensive side but boy they are worth it. The crouching tiger being my favourite. When seated we ordered more drinks, and ordered our starters, we like a lot of variety so we ordered a fair few to start and asked the waiter to order our mains later. Incase we wanted more starters! The aromatic duck was one of if not the best I’ve had, and I’ve been to a lot of high end Chinese restaurants. The meat was so juicy and perfectly crispy glassy skin. The lobster prawn toasts were to die for. You could really feel the chunks of lobster, it wasn’t just a paste smacked on a bit of bread and fried. The crispy melon steak was the best main course I’ve had here. The steak was cooked rare (wasn’t asked how I liked it) which I don’t normally go for (medium rare kinda guy). HOWEVER. Bcs of the cut of steak (I guess fillet) it was rediculously soft and juicy. It was cut into small chunks before being cooked so unless you’re cutting open each piece you wouldn’t know how it was cooked. I was just being picky. Everything was cooked perfectly. Each dish tasted different. It was a wonderful experience. The waiters were brilliant. They all clearly new the menu like the back of their hand, giving a brief explanation of each dish when it was being served. It’s on the more expensive side. First time I came as a group of four it was £380 Second time as a two it was £170. So budget ~£80 a head. But it’s 10000% worth it for special occasions!

Obviously very expensive but the food is almost worth it. We had the 'Emporer's Platter' for 3 people and there was more than enough food. The wagyu steak was the best steak I've ever had and everything else was not far behind. Gets fairly busy on a weekend evening but that's to be expected. No issues with service at all. Loses a star as I'm not sure it's worth the money but is a great place to take someone for a special occasion.

More hype than substance. Even though the main reason people go here is for the downstairs section with the pink blossom trees, it's not even guaranteed you will get a table there despite choosing that section. A dimly lit table in a corridor was the perfect place for this mediocre dinner experience, only saved by the service and the main courses. The rest were puzzling or just poorly executed, and certainly not worth the big bill at the end.

Absolutely amazing restaurant, I have been to the Tattu restaurant in Leeds but this was my first time visiting the Birmingham branch. The food was to die for and the drinks were so good. As I don’t drink alcohol the restaurant made perfect accommodations for me.

Lovely experience, very friendly staff, and great food. Highly recommend the Thai style monkfish and the Squid starter, both exquisite. Desserts weren't as good, but still nice. Only issue was we ordered two Celestial Dragon sharer cocktails, and there was still clearly fluid left left in the glass dragon container but it was taken away rather than letting us take a sip of our cocktails to top them up. Which when you spend £60 on one, seems only fair you get all of what you pay firm

Service and food were excellent, drinks were very good too but are expensive. If you're having a few drinks and dinner expect to pay at least £80 a head including tip. Worth it though, cool décor and a great experience. Desserts are amazing and large as well.

The food was good but what puts this place at 5 stars are the front of house staff along with the bar staff. They're so nice and accomodating and loved helping my little sister find a good place for pictures. Olivia was so helpful in letting us dine there despite being fully booked.

My friend booked for us to eat here - I had no idea about the place before arriving. I was late due to train delays, and the staff were fine about it but explained they would need the table back by a certain time. No probs. No complaints about the food except for the price! All served relatively quickly after ordering. I’m not one to be won over by fancy decor but if that’s what you’re after, then this place will be for you. Or if you’re after a night out for a special occasion, maybe this would be good option depending on what your priorities are for a good night out. Here’s what we had - Sticky Beef Short Rib - £14.90 Chilli Salt Baby Squid - £11.50 Beef Fillet & Soy - £35.75 Hoisin Ginger Black Cod - £36 Side Broccoli - £7 Duck Egg & Sausage Rice - £8 Cherry Blossom (pud) - £10.95 Drinks - Aperol Spritz -£13 each - so flat, avoid!! Complained and had a new one given to us but paid for two. The second was also flat. Bottle of still water -£4.50 Malbec - £46 A charity donation was added to the bill. Plus service charge - total: £243.11. I was torn between 3 or 4 stars, but went for 4 because the food, although pricey, was tasty.

Me & the silver fox thought we treat ourselves to his 40th as we forgot what it was like to go out, so we got the babysitters in! Food was amazing! Service was on point! Myself and my partner decided to go somewhere a little more lavish for our one year anniversary and Tattu did not disappoint! Located in the city centre, Tattu is down one of the little quaint streets and gives a luxury atmosphere. We were greeted by a host who let us know our table was almost ready (we did arrive early) and we were shown to the bar area. Once the table was available, we were shown downstairs to the most beautiful dining area. House and trance music was playing and the blossom tree looked so scenic. Our waitress was so lovely and chatty, asking us how we were, if we were here for a special occasion, and what else we were up to. The cocktails were incredible, with ice and smoke being used for theatrics. This also included by lovely dessert. I ordered the Cherry Blossom and it came with so many fantastic effects. As it was our anniversary, the staff also supplied us with a Happy Anniversary plate with chocolate. It was definitely worth it as a splurge. Just note: the portions were a tad small and it is pricey, however it is a great experience.

Best food I’ve ever had in a restaurant, the service was amazing! Decor is beautiful and the skull candy cocktail is to die for. We had short rib, black cod, lamb cutlets and a cherry blossom dessert. Absolutely beautiful and can’t wait to come back! Even got a birthday surprise!

Ate here for a birthday celebration, I must say the venue looks great. Loads of spots for Instagram photos and more. The food was great - deffo try the Shrimp! The only thing that let us down was the service - I’m not sure if they were short staffed or just busy (30th December) but the guy seemed to be a little distracted. IF YOU NOT EATING AT TATTU .. WHERE YOU REALLY AT ? First . Lets talk about incredibly insane the decor of this place is .. the ambience , dimmed down lights and neutral colours 😍 Second. Customer service is impecable from the moment you walk in till the moment you leave the front doors. You have your own host who is very welcoming and will reccomend you the best dishes on the menu . Last but not least .. the FOOD . i can put it on my life that once you visit this resturant you will come back ! Tattu is a pricey resturant .. but you pay for the quality of the whole experience so really is worth it .

Beautiful setting, perfect food and great service. Our waiter was well informed about all the food, drinks and other restaurants. An asset to the company. The Mushroom rolls with truffle cream was certainly my favourite. My alcohol free drink made me feel special. If you are looking for a unique place for lunch or dinner, a date night or friends gathering then this would be the place to go! Everyone wants an experience now, not just food on a plate. Went to Tattu in Birmingham last night as a surprise after becoming engaged earlier that evening. Absolutely amazing service from Josh, who made sure everything was perfect, explained the menu and helped with recommendations. The cocktails we lovely. I had a table booked for a birthday celebration in advance. A few days later I called to try and amend the booking as an extra person was to attend. Despite numerous attempts noone was answering the phone calls. I also emailed the enquiries and still no response On the day we were due to visit, I had to wait until 5pm (the time they open) and attempted to ring again. This time after one ring it was automatically diverted to voicemail, and I tried 4 or 5 times. As my booking was at 6 I had to just risk it. When we arrived we were told straight away that there wasn't a table available for the 5 people and so unfortunately they couldn't accommodate it due to being fully booked . I then requested to speak with the manager. Her response was they were fully booked and a chair can't be added onto the end of the table as it's a booth and staff need to have access in and out . I explained to her about the fact that I had emailed prior and called yet no response. Despite it being a special occasion which I had said on the booking she said all she could do is allow 5 people in the booth although it would be really tight . During this conversation, despite me speaking as quietly and respectfully to the manager, there were about 5 staff around us listening in on the conversation for some reason which I found rude , I chose not to say anything. Once settled a waiter Baz (I believe) arrived. He introduced himself very politely explaining he was relatively new . Can I just say he was AMAZING and probably the only reason we stayed in the end , THANKYOU Baz! When the fiood arrived I was shocked by the portion sizes compared to the prices they charge. £7 for a tapas size bowl of fried rice which was no more than 4 mouthfuls, £12.00 for a small bowl of Singapore noodles where the only spice was too much curry powder overpowering it , 3 prawns and a few tiny little scraps of chicken in it. We were shocked! I had heard that this place was overrated and overpriced but honestly wanted to experience it for myself. The venue, design and interior is nothing short of stunning, but that's literally all it is. As someone who eats out at fine dining cuisine regularly and appreciate good food, value for money and service I would not reccomend at all. The only reason I would return to this venue again would be for cocktails (average price £13 per cocktail) and taking pretty pictures.... highly disappointed

My husband had booked Tattu for my birthday as a surprise meal. It was just so amazing from the minute we entered the restaurant, welcomed by the lovely receptionist to being shown to our table and where we would be sitting. Our server Adam was just so lovely and helpful throughout the whole experience. My experience is not dissimilar to a few others in relation to being rushed off the table having agreed we would like coffee after dessert and then being told it was time to pay or coffee upstairs which we opted for. Apparently for two people you are alloted 1.45hrs. We didn't eat slowly, in fact we ate as quickly as the food was delivered. My other negative is that this is a photo magnet for those insta fans who are here to strike the pose, on the stairs, in the reception area and anywhere on site really. All a bit tokenistic. Having booked almost two months ago we were also seated in the ante room to the main cherry blossomed room which was disappointing. Couples, this is likely where you will be seated too! The music was like Ibiza chillout which was great but it was verging on needing to shout to be heard which was awkward with tables spaced reasonably close to one another. We both enjoyed the meals overall but everything desperately lacked seasoning. My salt and pepper aubergine was devoid of any salt and pepper, nice light tempura batter but bland. Lovely dry pork belly pieces, but two of four had bones in! A small amount of bone in the half a duck, super cripsy skin but the portion was more duckling than duck. See pic. Certainly too many pancakes for what made four reasonable sized pancakes between two of us. The broccoli was a major let down, I particularly chose it because of other reviews. There were two lines of black sesame gel type sauce. Totally devoid of any truffle which was a complete let down. We left pretty much all of that. The BBQ chicken was tasty and moist. The desserts were reasonable, more style over substance. We had two cocktails and I'd say the huge ice cube in mine accounted for 80% capacity of the glass which equated to two mouthfuls. Therefore style over value. A very nice waitress who was efficient and attentive. I wouldn't return unless this settled down to be somewhere you could relax a little more, the seasoning improved and all the insta fans had found somewhere new for their insta careers!

The most beautiful restaurant I've ever been to. The best service ever from Adam, made us feel so welcome, knew everything about the menu, gave us great recommendations and descriptions of our food. You've probably been to better places and you've probably been to worse. For the decor, ambience and the vibe they are trying to go for, it's a fantastic place. Be prepared to see a bunch of people blocking the way to your table just to get that instagram photo. They've nailed the bar/restaurant scene which is common place in Dubai and eastern Asia really well. But the food was pretty average and lacking flavour. The menu on paper looks appealing, but nothing wowed us, but neither did anything taste terrible. It just tasted too bland and everything needed that bit of extra seasoning. If you're coming here for the food you'll be disapointed. If you're coming here to post something new on your social media feed, it's the place for you. Overall, about £140 for a meal for two which is quite reasonable for what it sets out to achieve.

A Memorable Chinese dining experience You are welcomed by hospitable staff before making your way underground to the main dining floor. (Don't overlook the bar on your way down, a very nice chill out area) The main floor is for bigger groups and has the most cover of the attractive flowery decor. If you are on a date, the ambiance is set a bit dimmer to set the mood😉. (Don't know if intentional) All in all, interior design is pretty cool Now to the food For Starter, the Baby Squid aka calamari which was done the way I like it but not mind blowing. The sweet chilli sauce however was so good I requested a top up. I decided to go for the Wok Fried Angry Bird served with a portion of the duck and chinese sausage rice. Really liked the texture of the rice and it had a satisfying crunchy taste. The chicken was well seasoned with very generous portions. For Dessert, I went for the Pagoda which is a 3 layer brownie, almond and sponge cake tower drizzled with espresso caramel. This is best described as an eruption of flavours in your mouth and potentially a diabetes risk lol. Best shared and not consumed solo. For the drinks, I had the Lucky number 8 which is a bourbon cocktail which arrived with the smokey razzmatazz but I did detect a bit of a smoky taste in there which worked. Alongside this, I ordered my signature Amaretto Sour and I can say, Ladies and Gentleman, this is the best one in the UK, no questions. Foamy bit on the top was done well, the alcohol level in the drink, the sweetness, everything was well executed. Definitely go here for drinks as a minimum I would definitely be going back. Highly recommended

Stunning venue! A great spot for a very special occasion. We had the set menu where the food was plentiful and delicious. The staff was very welcoming and lovely. Close parking at Snow Hill Station (approx 5 min walk) but does close at 11:30pm, Mon-Sat. Other options available, within walking distance. On street disabled parking too.

End of the high street chinese takeaway this isn't, its high end food with an Asian touch. Not cheap but if you want to treat yourself and you're in Brum then try it. Book ahead though, you've got no chance of a walk in. We still had a 40 minute wait with a booking, the only reason for knocking a star off really. I had sweet and sour iberico pork and candy rice with the chocolate pagoda for dessert

Always thought Tattu was one of those overpriced, westernised panasian restaurants that offers nothing unique. However, I was mistaken. We had the Modern Chinese Menu two: Lotus Chip Mess Crispy yet fresh bowl of lotus crisps, a nice dish to tease ones appetite. 5/5 Chicken Truffle Shumai Not my favourite, but an interesting twist on the traditional dim sum dish 4/5 Szechuan Rock Shrimp: Lightly deep fried shrimp in a siracha mayo sauce, something I’ve not tasted in the UK for a long time 5/5 Caramel Soy Beef Fillet 7oz Tender and perfectly medium rare steak with a sweet dip almost akin to hoisin sauce on a bed of grilled asparagus 5/5 Thai Style Crispy Monkfish: Good sized chunks of swept fried monkfish is a sweet Thai chilli sauce and lime drizzle, sauce was just a bit too sweet 4/5 X.O Rice: Surprisingly authentic and well fried, good base for the rest of the dishes 5/5 Tender-stem Broccoli: The uniqueness of this dish comes from the black sesame and truffle mush which was something quite indescribable 5/5 Chocolate and hazelnut pagoda: Dish was too large and very indulgent, could only have a few bites of this 4/5 Tang Yuan Doughnuts: Nothing too special about this dish, the least impressive but still good 3/5

The Skull Candy cocktail was extremely tasty to say the least and the food was just as mouth watering. However service was very slow I'm not sure whether they were understaffed or what but we booked a table for 8PM granted we arrived 5 minutes early, we were then told our table would be ready in a few minutes that few minutes turned into 40 minutes for a table that was pre-booked! Every time we went to ask how much longer it would be the woman at reception said 'just a few minutes!' The reason why I did not give a 1 star rating was because of our waiter Stefan! He went above and beyond for us and it genuinely felt like he loved his job! He needs a raise! Nothing was too much trouble for him. We had someone who had a nut allergy and he knew exactly what foods we could and couldn't have! We even got a live performance from Stefan as it was a birthday and we are very grateful for him. Tattu Restaurant in Birmingham provides a diverse menu highlighting 'Modern Chinese' dishes set in a euphoric dining setting. My waiter was knowledgeable of the restaurant menu, explaining each aspect of it while recommending customer favourites. To start, I had the wild mushroom spring rolls which offered unique flavour profiles - the portion size was appropriate with that of a starter. Thereafter, I enjoyed the light crispiness of the chilli salt baby squid and the light yet tender sticky beef short ribs (small plates). For the main, I sampled the chinese barbeque chicken which was adequately seasoned and paired that with a competent bowl of steamed jasmine rice. For dessert, I had the 'Year of the Tiger' and 'White Chocolate Dragon Egg' - both menu items were delightful and presented flawlessly. Overall, Tattu offered a modest yet sophisticated dining experience with smooth service and delivery of dishes throughout the evening.

Amazing Yin dining basement area - all cherry blossom & dark wood, with a chilled Ibiza soundtrack. We had a lovely alcove table. It was a late Saturday lunch, but the restaurant was almost full. Exemplary attentive, helpful service from our lovely waitress, Wiktoria. So glad we chose the Emperor’s Choice set meal: superb three courses of: Short Rib, Scallops, Wagyu Beef, Black Cod & much, much more. Tastiest meal we’ve eaten in ages. My wife found this restaurant last year and finally managed to get a reservation as you have to book online and usually well I’m advance. Check out my YouTube video - google Tattu Restaurant review by The Khan Family . We went as a family and it was a very pleasant experience from start to finish , even in this current climate - hot weather and Covid 19 restrictions. They had hand sanitizer stations everywhere and a state of the art photographic temperate reader. The service from all the staff was excellent; the lady who initially welcomed us, to the lady who sat us to our table (Diana), the waiter (Robert) and the ladies who served us our food. The manager also checked on us too. The deco was also very eye catching - the foyer upstairs had a rustic stony look, then the marbled tiles leading downstairs was very posh and then the centre piece / cherry blossoms hanging from the ceiling in the main restaurant downstairs. We were given a lovely booth for the four of us, and my eldest son was shouting how much he liked this restaurant. We weren’t rushed and we were asked for drinks and any special requirements. We went for tap water and then a non-alcoholic mocktail each , the Sweet Skullduggery is a must as it came in a very fancy cup with nitrogen flowing out and the taste was just one of the best we’ve ever had for a mocktail. The Red Lotus mocktail was ok but there wasn’t much in the glass. We required halal food and our waiter confirmed with the chef and marked what was halal, mainly the chicken dishes , obviously prawn we could have but they also tell you if any dishes have alcohol. The waiter recommended the Prawn and lobster toast which was very different to other Chinese restaurants and we also went for the Chicken Truffle Shumai (tasty but a little salty) and Special Fried Sweet Potato) and ordered the boys a chicken and prawn noodles for starters as they usually get hungry early. Then for mains I had a Wok Fried Angry Bird - a spicy chicken, pepper and cashew dish cooked in honey and my wife had the Kung Po Prawn - a very hot king prawn dish/ both were nice but I was quite full already for the appetisers and helping the boys finish their food (I don’t like wasting food). We had a Jasmine Rice with our mains which was also nice. The bill came to a nice £90 to which they added a 10% service charge - which they fully deserved and I added a little extra too just to show how impressed we were. Definitely will come back one day but not very soon, even though one could say the price was high - this would be expected for a high end and very attractive establishment in the heart of Birmingham City Centre.

There is no denying the quality of the dining experience at Tattu. It’s a tour de force of modern cuisine. A place to impress the other half and somewhere to be impressed upon. Unfortunately for me, the service mechanics at Tattu need a bit of oiling, which resulted in unnecessary waiting when I was sat at my table. I loved the decor, dimly lit, cherry blossom hanging from the ceilings, lighting used for emphasis. It made for intimate floral dining overtures. The food was special; I chose the Emperor Set Menu, a £75 multi courses option. I loved the tender, soft beef steak slices and the dry ice drama of Cherry Blossom dessert. Another top quality, top end restaurant with a refreshing take on oriental cuisine.

You're escorted down to the basement to be seated in the main dinning area, which is a lot smaller than I had imagined. We opted for the vegetarian taster menu, which consisted of four waves (2 options in each). We decided to try all the dishes available, which were great for sharing with a few options from the main menu that were vegetarian. The food was absolutely amazing, beautiful in presentation and delicious in taste. The staff were very helpful and explained what each dish was and asked if we needed anything. The only down side of the experience was being rushed to get seated, the food for each wave was brought out rather quickly and we were approached a few times before we asked for the bill after finishing our hot beverages to end the night. Nevertheless, a great experience on the whole.

Husband and I are at Tatu recently. Told to grab a drink to wait for a table, we were a little bit bemused by the fact there was no one working the bar. In the end we just sat at it. Once seated at our table though, our waiter, Stefan was really great and we got what we ordered pretty quickly. The sashimi to start was excellent but the rest of the food ordered was just okay. My crispy monkfish had been battered and cooked so much that it was more crisp than beautiful meaty fish and for £30 without sides, I wasn't exactly impressed. Husband had barbecue chicken and it really wasn't any more exciting than the description. If I could have added 3 and a half I would as we had a great experience and loved the vibe and the look of the place. The food wasn't good enough to justify the prices but I don't think that will make much difference to it's success in the short term.

The minute you walk through those doors you feel like you could be in a top level club in London or something... the way you're greeted, the layout of the upstairs bar and waiting area and then all with the backdrop of this amazing, epic looking cherry blossom tree... you are taken back! Then you get seated and your waiter is so attentive and helpful when it comes to what to order and try. Then the food comes out and you're just in utter indulgence mode! The flavours and their presentation are just insane! Everything we had we thoroughly enjoyed... everything! So much so, we ordered another portion of the sticky king prawns before we had an incredible cherry blossom dessert. All of these washed down with the most exquisite gin cocktail I'd ever tasted! This is my first time at Tattu the menu is a tapas style Chinese cuisine the decor is very nice the food was served promptly although they do explain that some foods do take longer than others due to everything being cooked freshly. We visited Tatu Birmingham in October, for a family birthday party, which I booked about 4/5 weeks in advance. They had all the Covid guidelines in place and took temperature checks before allowing entry. Our attendant was Ivana, she was really polite and courteous, the place was really busy even at 3pm. However, all the attendants had attention on the tables. I got asked if this was for a special occasion and I informed the attendant that it was my sister's birthday. The décor inside is gorgeous and we got given a private booth, although we would have preferred to be sat near the tree but the booth gave privacy and we was able to take lots of photos. Ivana also took photos for us. The drinks were really nice, and the skull drink is a must! The food was really nice and the portions were a decent size. The staff at Tatu also didn't force customers to leave, we had other plans for the day so was only able to stay for about an hour and 30 minutes. Before the bill, Ivana bought out a birthday cake for my sister with a sparkler, which was a really nice touch. We will be returning once lockdown is over. Thank you.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. However the service was not good when we visited. It was fairly new at the time so there may have been some teething problems. The staff did not know the menu and did not know what was included in each menu as there a different ones to choose from. For example we asked how many pieces of prawn toast were provided as there were 5 of us and we wanted to ensure there was enough for us all. We were informed there were 10 pieces so went ahead and ordered this, only to find there were only 4 pieces. Staff didn't off an apology for this. We were given a free dessert between 5 of us for the bad service. The food was nice but really wasn't worth the money and was not very filling.

Booked this restaurant several months ago so was very much looking forward to it. Initial impressions were very good with a very scenic eating area and music that suited the environment. We had some lovely starters including sticky beef short rib and the sashimi. Sadly after that most of the evening was quite disappointing in terms of food. The next starter was the scallops which were very overcooked and returned to the kitchen. The replacements were cooked better but still far too salty. Mains included the cod, pork and monkfish. The cod was amazing and would highly recommend but the other two dishes could have been cooked by your local Chinese. Again the side dishes were nothing special. Drinks were very nice but that was to be expected for the prices. Overall I think the restaurant promises great things but fails to deliver with what should be first class food. The staff were very friendly and attentive and when we gave feedback on the food were more than happy to listen and provide a solution. However, my overall impression is that there is a falseness to the restaurant which is a real shame as it could be so much better. It seems like a very contemporary place and very popular at this time which is why I think its so busy. Personally I think its very over priced for what it is and won't be visiting again.

The staff give you a separate allergy book that you have to cross reference with the food on the main menu. For the money you're paying I think you should be able to offer a separate gluten/Vegetarian/Vegan menu . I had to sit with a normal menu and an allergy menu to try and work out what I could or couldn't have. Dining out with a medical condition is bad enough without being made to feel like an outcast.

Our reservation was a bit shakey to begin, but the staff made up for that. The bar staff was awesome while we waited to be seated. The cocktails were very nice, we tried the skull candy and it was amazing! They even had BERMUDA black rum! Once we we seated our host Thomas was exceptional and the atmosphere was posh! Thomas catered to all our needs individually and made us feel comfortable.. he talked us through the menu. The starters were better then the mains! The calamari was tender, the shrimp was seasoned to perfection, the ribs were so so tender, the lobster and shrimp toast was the best we have ever had and the pork dumplings were succulent! This is my third time attending tattu in 2 years, first time since Covid, and the quality of food and service is always very high. However, on this visit, the menu on offer was of a lesser quality than previous menus leaving both me and my partner unfortunately underwhelmed, especially considering the 5* prices. This said, I would still encourage those who haven't been before to give it a try. The decor is surreal and mind-blowingly detailed, the service like mentioned is great and the food itself is fantastic, but expect to pay for what you get!

I had the iberico pork and sausage egg fried rice which was delicious. The staff were very attentive and amazing. However, our bottle of wine took some time to come. The decor is out of this world. The food was ok but my feeling is that I could have got this at the peach 🍑 garden for half the price and the food would have been better. It was lovely but not outstanding. My friends fishy dishes looked sublime. Not out of this world and I was kind of hoping it would be. Would I go here again. Yes i would but I would order something none fish related and not tell them of my allergy.

It seemed that every other table had a birthday on the day we went and it was fun to see so many couples and small groups enjoying themselves in the calm and modern setting of the restaurant. It was a surprisingly busy for a Wednesday but we were seated quickly, even without a reservation, and food was cooked fresh and served as it was ready. Must say first that the restaurant is very covid prepared, temperature checked on the way in which was very reassuring. Nearly a 5 star experience, service was excellent if not a little rushed. Waiter Thomas was very friendly and had some great Gin recommendations. The food was delicious, well presented and came in a generous portion. Slightly disappointed with the seating, all of the photos you see show the wonderful decor and seating under the cherry blossom trees. However we were seated by the servers area which lacked any decor/theme.

We ordered 6 small plates and a side which was easily enough. Food was outstanding. Only one we didn't like was dim sum but that's just preference. Me and my husband visited Tattu yesterday we arrived slightly early before the restaurant was ready and was greeted by Amir who offered us menus and offered to bring our drinks to the table once everything was fully set up so it was all ready for us. He continued to make us feel so special throughout our entire visit and he is an absolute credit to your team. I understand he is from your Manchester branch :) However, another special thanks goes to our waiter, Ionut. He explained every part of the menu to us and gave us the best and most honest recommendations on food items as we have never dined with yourselves before. They made our anniversary actually feel like a proper 'anniversary' and helped us take amazing pics throughout and also Amir arranged for a sparkler to be sent to us with a fortune cookie with a personalised note which really touched us! Me and my husband both run our own business, and totally understand the battle of finding good staff to reflect your own visions and morals - and Amir explained to us all staff undergoes 6-7 weeks of training before being allowed to wait on guests, this really shows and i'm sure I speak for everyone who was in the restaurant at the time, but your staff really are a massive credit to your business, especially Amir and Ionut. Thank you to these guys for one of the best anniversary dinners we've ever had!! I will definitely be recommending you to everyone and cannot wait for you to open in London.

A fantastic dining experience from the moment we arrived until we left. We wanted a date to remember and that's what we had, starting with the unique environment with cherry blossoms across the high ceiling. Every member of staff treated us impeccably (particularly Victoria, our server). The smoking skull cocktail is well worth trying, as is the salt and pepper aubergine (our favourite dish). We had two small plates and two large plates between the two of us and that was the right amount of food. I would return in a heartbeat.

Tattu Birmingham has been the most recent restaurant that my partner and I have visited. It has also been, by far, the best. The whole experience of Tattu is on another level, right from the moment you walk through its amazing entrance, to that first drink at the bar (the cocktails, especially, are both imaginative and scrumptious)!), to being seated at your table. The food - well, where to start .... the menu is extensive and varied - there are dishes to suit all pallettes and dietary requirements. We found this particularly helpful. One of the major assets of this restaurant is its wonderful staff. They are professional, helpful and friendly. We felt as though we were treated like Royalty! Our server explained the dishes so well and we really appreciated the suggestions for accompaniments to go alongside our main meal. The service is undoubtedly second to none. Would we recommend Tattu? Unreservedly, yes! It certainly lived up to its fantastic reputation. Can't wait until we can return!

went here for a date night. Just wanted to say that the service and venue was really nice. We loved the atmosphere, music and how the staff came over to check, clean and offer water to us. The food however....eh. we had "menu one" which was 45pp. Nothing really blew our minds...I felt like the food could be touched up a little as I think other places provide better flavour at a cheaper price. Servings were plentiful as we just about finished the entire course with our stomachs full. Dessert was ok at best I think. Oh the egg fried rice was my Girlfriends favourite. Mine was the fish. Overall it wasnt a bad experience! I think it's a great place for a date, I just think the food could be a little better in my opinion.

Wow, Wow, Wow we booked this restaurant in celebration of our anniversary and my wife’s birthday. With family commitments we don’t get out very often. From the moment we walked in to the time we left the service we received was absolutely second to none. Siting under the blossom trees with soft lighting set the tone for a romantic evening. Our waitress Debby talked us through the menus and we decided to go for the various waves of the vegetarian set menu, we were not disappointed. The restaurant is managed like a well-oiled machine an example of this is the allergy/intolerance menu. The menu provides complete assurance that they take allergies seriously and that all precautions are taken in the kitchen to ensure complete peace of mind. Tattu isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience. With the live DJ set playing tunes in perfect harmony with the buzzing atmosphere, we enjoyed wave after wave of delicious 5 star plates. Just when we thought things couldn’t get better the deserts arrived. Do you ever taste something so exquisite that you just wish it could go on forever? My only complaint? Time went to fast... A massive thank you to Debby our waitress for the evening and compliments to the management. Amazing!

I dined at Tattu for the first time for my birthday yesterday evening and absolutely loved the place! The restaurant was classy and the staff were professional, friendly and highly attentive. The food arrived suprisingly quickly and tasted great and I was actually really suprised with the portion sizes as I'd initially thought that Tattu was edged more towards providing a fine dining experience. Just as I'd requested my bill, my waitress brought over a birthday sparkler and a mini dessert with "Happy Birthday" written on the plate - I'm not going to lie, I was pretty shocked in the moment as I wasn't expecting that at all! Although I should've as later on, I remembered that I was asked for my date of birth when I went to book a table via their website, however, I didn't think much of it at the time! But this was a really nice thing of Tattu to do so, thank you! The only thing that I'd wished for was to be seated in the section with the cherry blossoms hanging above the tables as I was seated in a darker section of the restaurant which made it quite difficult for my weak eyes to see properly but this was at no fault of the restaurant. Overall, although the prices definitely sit on the more expensive side, you really do get value when you look at the food, environment and customer service combined.

I visited this restaurant just before all the madness started. What a special experience this was. From the moment we walked in we had high expectations. The place is stunning!! We were met by a friendly hostess who offered to take us to our table or for us to have a drink at the bar. We chose the drink first. The bar area is so different to anything I have seen before, the barman (Kevin I believe his name was) was so friendly and attentive. He suggested a cocktail for my partner to try after letting him know her preferred flavours, she loved it. We were then taken downstairs by the hostess we had met at the door and she asked if we had visited before. The restaurant space downstairs is completely different to upstairs which was later explained to us by our server. The yin yang style really is a clever design concept, we loved it. Throughout our dinner the service was friendly, the food was different and exciting with fantastic flavours. We like to try different dishes when given the opportunity so we shared the mushroom rolls , beef short rib, mixed dimsum basket. Then onto the monkish and fillet beef with caramel soy and side of xo rice. Each dish were full of flavours and completely different. All in All it was a fantastic dinner for me and my partner and I can't wait to return as soon as possible.

Perfect for a fancy date night. The place has a quaint and charming ambience. The food is delicious and the distinct flavours are evident with just the first bite. The portions are of adequate quantity and the food is not to highly priced for a restaurant of its league. The small plates are definitely much more value for money as compared to the mains. Would recommend the chilli baby squids and the short spare ribs. The only thing better than the food and the service are the drinks. The cocktails were exquisite. We tried about 6 different cocktails and enjoyed every single one of them. The attentive staff only add to the pleasing atmosphere. Victoria, Ross, Tammy, Karol, Chante and George made sure we enjoyed our time here and would come back again. The experience was indeed a feast for all five of our the senses.

I did not find the location to be as clean as I would expect for what is being advertised, but overall the place was in standard condition. The dim sum mixed plate was very good- particularly the wagyu offering. I ordered the crispy baby chicken as my main. The chicken was absolutely delicious- however- the plum sauce was so exceedingly sweet that I could not eat any of it. The food was superb and the cocktails were fab 🍸 Great atmosphere and the staff were so lovely, our waitress went above and beyond. The decor and layout is so beautiful. I highly recommend a visit here. Will definitely be back soon 🌸

We visited on Thursday after 5 pm and I was surprised- the place was buzzing. Whilst waiting for our table the bartender upstairs offered to make any drink we like (even the one that is not on the menu!) - impressive!. He also showed us how the liquid ice works and kept us entertained for the meantime. I've noticed he knew lots about each drink which was impressive as I never heard about most of them. The food was lovely and the staff proven to know the menu by heart which was helpful as we forgot what we ordered by the time mains arrived :D. My started was quite blend, I had the vegetarian dim sums but thankfully there was a selection of sauces to dip them in. The mains - veg. chicken in black bean sauce was amazing and the sweet potato side was delicious too. The star of the show was the desserts! Amazing presentation! And so original too! I must say the place have an amazing character. staff and their level of service 10 out of 10. I would have given 5 stars, but I had to give four because of the number of guests obstructing walkways and toilets whilst taking pictures. I actually heard about this problem before we went to visit by few of my friends who already been to Tattu, but until I experienced it myself I didn't think it's that bad. The stairs to the dining area are quiet narrow and I would find it extremely difficult to carry drinks/food upstairs/downstairs with group of people taking pictures on them. It wasn't nice that every time I would want to use the toilet to ask them to move too. When I entered the toilet area, there was a group of girls taking pictures. I couldn't see if the toilets are being used so I waited. After a while, I asked if I can squeeze trough and none of the toilets were being used! When I wanted to wash my hands, the girls were still there. This time taking pictures in the mirror. I tried to wash my hands on the furthest side of the sink so I am not in their pictures, but they just didn't care. The whole experience at Tattu was lovely but I just can't forget about the groups taking pictures and I believe it's nothing pleasant for staff either.
