I've been here a few times now, with the girls & the staff are always polite & welcoming. The food is always tasty filling & served hot and its decently priced. We will definitely go again.

Absolutely phenomenal! Popped in for a quick stop off on way home, after smelling the food coming out to surrounding tables I decided to stay and eat here instead. I'm so glad I did. They were abit busy last night as I think people had some sort of voucher. But the staff that was on you could tell was working Incredibly hard to serve as quick as they could. They managed to find us a table and squeeze us in as we hadn't booked. After we ordered the food came out within about 20mins no bad considering how busy. The food was hot and sizzling we enjoyed every bite. Will be back to try more

Our local go to for a meal and drinks as a family! The food you get for the price you pay is fantastic. Drinks are well priced too which is a bonus. Caters for vegan, veggie, good fish options and fresh food steaming at the table on skillets. Great atmosphere, highly recommend. We went to the Beefeater recently for the first time and regretted it and wish we came back to the good old Amber Tavern instead. Never fails!

Back in the day this pub was a shining light if the local community, I haven't been in for quite a while, as I walked in the door the first thing that hits you is the poor condition of the building and furnishings. However the staff are lovely, very warm and friendly, we ordered food and the food was hot and fresh and excellent value for money and the beer was well kept and beautiful. All this place needs is some serious TLC and it would be back to the way it was many many years ago. Come on sizzler, put some time and effort into the venue and it will be a beacon of the community once more. I will be going back purely because it's great value for money with staff that care and quality beers only the physical building and fittings let it down, such a shame.

So I came to The Amber Tavern today with my boyfriend and we both ordered rare rump steaks. They were both cooked to perfection and came out sizzling. Plenty of onions and fresh chips too. The waitress was attentive and the bar staff were amazing. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and I will definitely be returning again.

Have used the Amber Tavern (and its previous life as the Bass House) for many years (50+) and it is my 'local'. Eating out has become mine and my wife's main pastime during the covid crisis and we have used the Amber fairly often. The pub provides good,tasty food at very reasonable prices and their is something to suit everyone, the beer is excellent also and it is kept well. Last but certainly not least l must mention the friendly,welcoming and helpful staff. Keep up the good work!

The food was nice and the wait staff were really friendly (which brought us to 4 stars). I did ask for all my food to come at the same time and for no jalapenos on my nachos and neither happened but when the nachos came they were lovely. The steaks weren't great which was a shame. I was hoping to be pleasantly by them but the starter was my win... Even if I had to fish out the jalapenos...

Ordered a starter which came with the two mains so sent mains back. I ordered rib eye steak the whole meal was cold apart from the chips and the steak was very tough. Sent my meal back in fairness we were offered a free drink while we waited but didn't want one. Replacement meal came and it was hot. I did eat it but the steak wasn't great wasn't tender like rump normally is.

Had my girlfriend's 30th birthday on a Saturday. The pub started renovation before the event however the staff at the pub arranged a section of the pub for us and made every effort to accommodate us and sort out the buffet and give a hand with decorations and accommodating awkward dietary requirements for certain guests. Made a special day run smoothly and a credit to their chain! If you need a venue to host a party give these guys a shout, very happy and have a very happy girlfriend! 😊

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in the Amber tavern. I had a delicious meal, with a couple of beers. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Ideal for those who want a treat night out. There was also plenty of room for bigger groups. The staff here were very nice and polite, bubbley and knew what they were talking about. They had a great selection of wines and beers available. They had great offers on the food and cocktails which I can't wait to come back and try. Overall I will definatly come back again

Me and my family had a great meal here on the day of their new menu. The staff here were very polite and bubbley. It didnt take long to get served and he food came out fast and delicious. Didnt get chance to have a pudding as the size of the meal was more than enough. Great value for money. Will definitely be back.

Wow wow wow. I am something of a connoisseur when it comes to pubs (I have been to Wetherspoons in Stourbridge at least three times) and I am pleased to say that this is one of the best I’ve been to. I don’t drink however I used many of the facilities (eg pool table, toilet) and I cannot fault any of these. Staff were friendly beyond their professional requirements and I will happily be visiting again soon. UTA

Thought it was great. The food was excellent for the price. To be honest better than many much more expensive meals I've eaten. Loved the heap of fried onions under the meat on the mixed grill platter. Stuffed full and couldn't eat the chips for only 8.49! Drinks are also a very reasonable price. The staff are really friendly as well, even going so far as to cook my Mum's battered fish by hand when the electric deep fryer went on the blink. Now that's service you wouldn't get even in a lot of much more expensive so called 'up market' restaurants. Thanks Amber Tavern and staff!

We booked a family Easter meal for 9 and oh my goodness did we enjoy it. Staff are so friendly and helpful...nice spacious,clean pub. Great menus lots of choice and our food was cooked to perfection and served by Clare,lovely woman...pleasant,funny,caring nothing was too much trouble. Our table was decorated with a nice runner and flowers,Easter Sunday...we wasn't on a time limit on the table as we've experienced before,just time to enjoy our food,drink and relax with the family...We were there 3 hours! Definitely be back...hope to see Clare again...great asset to the Amber Tavern!...sorry didn't photograph the food but trust me spot on...too busy getting our nose bags on!

Not having visited the Tavern for over 20 years we thought we'd give it a try. The inside spaces are good with both open and more secluded places. The bar is one of those single ones that serve several areas and is difficult for staff to know whose next, particularly if there's only one serving. Choosing the right time to go to the bar it didn't take too long. The staff were obviously friendly which is good. The food was served quickly and was well cooked but the starter was not served with the main course as requested. Again the serving staff were noticeably friendly. It was easy to chat at the bar to the staff to chat about past times when security was needed on the door but not required any more. The pub does need a revamp but the visit was good enough to consider going again in lieu of the Wernley which is further away from us but equally as friendly.

Have been here a few times but our latest visit was definitely the best one. Booked a table for a large family for little one's birthday, really have to give it up for Clare who made it painless and put in so much extra effort to make us happy. Very friendly lady who offered us table service due to party size, answered any questions about the meals and made sure we were always satisfied. Shame some of the other staff aren't as nice as Clare but she certainly made up for it. Their menu is changed fairly regularly now so there is some variance and food is to a good standard, some meals could possibly be improved but overall a great place.

The business will pick up a lot. Nice pub let down by poor food. Burgers absolutely dripping in grease which made the buns like wet soup. Burgers must have been finished in fryer as no way the burgers on their own held that must grease. Staff friendly and polite.

We come here for family meals because it has 'something for everyone'. Except that it has 50-odd meals for carnivores and 2 or 3 things for anyone who doesn't eat meat or cheese. As a vegan you can get a passable pub dansak, tasteless dry beanburger, or cardboardy freezer-burnt soya nuggets and burnt onions with packet rice and sweet&sour sauce that tastes like vinegary jam. Your mileage may vary and I did complain, so hopefully this will have been fixed. They do serve Becks Blue (phew) but no posh soft drinks. It's a steak-and-lager pub, so fair enough, I'm not their target market. Service slow for food, kids welcome, disability friendly, accessible parking onsite.

Went to have some lunch with my other half when we walked in it's a bit of a spit and sawdust place, we sat down to have something to eat and had to listen to the only other couple in the restaurant complaining about their meal and being given it for free, That actually put us both off, but we already ordered , was quite surprised with the food, It was actually quite nice, the potato skins with cheese and bacon and were really really greasy and it look like they'd knifed a bit out of a pot of sour cream about the size of a 10p piece, Had the rib-eye on the Sizzling skillet, and it was absolutely delicious to be honest, came with a 20 cm by 8 cm pile of onions underneath lol,
