S. D.Over the weekend I visited The Ark Birmingham a newly reopened Indian restaurant in Birmingham city centre.
The entrance was clean and well presented. The decor was nice & great atmosphere. The bar staff were super friendly and knowledgeable.
Our drinks arrived & we all took a sip, we were all in awe of how amazing each one tasted. 10/10
The starters & food came in a timely manner and was very well presented.
Unfortunately one of the party had an issue with the lamb special being a little chewy and salty. We had the same dish but mine wasn’t a reflection of that. I enjoyed my meal & the cucumber yogurt was fabulous. Another one of the party also agreed that hers was also salty (different dish) but like myself it wasn’t bad. We spoke to the waitress and she apologised & took it away for a new one to be freshly made. Which meant we all couldn’t enjoy our meal together. The manager apologised profusely & explained what he was going to do to resolve it at that point and in the future.
In my opinion I can say that these were just teething issues (plus this was the first weekend they where running the full menu since lockdown)
I was really impressed about how attentive the waitresses & manager were.
I will definitely be returning to the ark without hesitation in the future & recommend it for drinks, dinner dates & pre show dinner.

The food was soo good!
For starters, we had the Chicken lollipop and Garlic Chilli chicken - highly recommended.
The waiter explained the meals to us and when we mentioned what taste we liked, he offered to amend the chicken to have additional ingredients! Great job by the chef!
All in all, they really looked after our family, and added to our wonderful experience of Birmingham!

L. S.Wicked place we came here for my nephews 18th Birthday meal yesterday. We had a great time. Really good food and cocktails. Staff is really nice and polite. I think it’s easily one of the best Indian restaurant around birmingham. This place isn’t even really expensive really good value and great portions. Cocktails on point 👌🏽👌🏽
s. k.We stumbled upon this small balcony bar by chance, and its the best thing thats happened to us in a while!! Great cocktail menu with fab 2 for £12 deal, there is a night club upstairs, we have yet to try, we even got treated to a ‘taster’ of the food menu which was delicious and full of flavour, it even caters to vegan dietary requirements which is a bonus for me as im allergic to dairy!! The staff and vibe is amazing! I will 100% return for the nightclub and delicious drinks!!!
c. p.This place is a hidden gem. So suave and sophisticated. The friendliest staff you could ever meet and when I say the cocktails are good. I mean dam good. Had a food sampler and wow that was amazing aswell. The terrace is a great place to view the city. I don't understand why this isn't the hotspot for the city.

We almost missed it as the outside menus are rather small & badly positioned behind a couple of flamethrower-type heaters.
The menu, the veggie stuff in particular, was fab & our young waitress, whilst very efficient, was rather inexperienced.
The food was all as amazing as it sounded on the menu & overall good value.
We hadn't noticed this on the menu, but there was a 12.5% service charge added to our bill - we'd have tipped this anyway but thought it a bit of a cheek.

g.Without sounding too much up my own backside (oops too late) I've eaten in some of the best restaurants in the country. This place is right up there with them. Simply outstanding.
S. H.We read the great reviews on here and decided to give it a try. The food was great and certainly up there with one of the best indians I've had. I particularly appreciated the subtle flavours. But when we were there early on a Saturday night, it was not busy but the service was a mess. We were served by three different people, and they didn't seem to know what the other had done. We ordered drinks when we arrived and they finally appeared after we had finished the starters and had started the mains. Overall, great food, classy environment but let down by the service.

S.3.5 stars. Food was delicious, albeit curries were a little oily. Paneer tika masala was particularly good. Knocking off a star because I found the server to be pushy about up-selling, and they slapped on a 12.5% service charge, which I found to be completely unnecessary for a table for 2 during a dead dinner shift. Also, the server kept calling tap water “sink water”, which really made me cringe.

A. N.10/10 for presentation and the flavours of my chicken tikka burger I had over the weekend! Complimented by a side of chilli chips and the tasty red sauce with onions in!! Absolutely worth my money and very filling. Cannot wait to try out the rest of the menu and to dine in sometime after COVID-19.

Wide range of drinks which can be altered as the bar tenders are amazing at their job and make drinks of your wish and likings.
Absolutely amazing food with great potentials, which is more likely to get better in time. I would 200% recommend this place.
