Reviews of Tim Hortons
D.
This was my first Tim Horton's experience and I can't rave about it enough. It had been hyped up to me by my Canadian acquaintances beforehand, but it lived up to it and more!
Firstly, most reviews seem to compare this place to McDonald's for breakfast, and I can see why. It's better than McDonald's in every way.
Every breakfast item we had was less greasy and more tasty than it would be at McDonald's. There were incredible options for the vegetarians and vegans among us too. The coffee was better than most coffee shop franchises.
Despite all of the above, a meal deal of breakfast, a hash brown, and a coffee (or other hot/cold drink), was just £2.49! You can get a worse cup of coffee alone at Costa for more than that!
Ordering is easy as they have the touchscreen system where you wait to collect. The service was quite fast at a fairly busy time. The main seating area is nice and clean, but accessed up a winding staircase. These can be quite treacherous, I saw a young lady trip and spill all of her drink, luckily she was ok.
I can't see myself having a Maccie's breakfast again while Tim's is around. My family have suggested we have breakfast here at least once a month from now on!
M. A.
I've been meaning to try this place for a while and now with the special offer of a breakfast meal ( including veggie options ) at only £2.49 it was hard to resist. Especially as mucky d's have recently put their breakfast prices up ( in Birmingham anyway ) it can get busy during the commute to the office / workplace but just before or after then your in and out in a very short time. They prefer you to use the self checkout machines and sadly it is only payment via contactless, no cash which is a shame. There is an upstairs seating area with about 85 seats but only 1 chair / table downstairs. The rest of downstairs is for people to wait for the takeaways. The service can be pretty quick but at busier times it can be bit slow, but so always check your hot drinks. My white coffee came black! The hash browns are delicious and so much nicer than others I've had. Shame you don't get 2 with your breakfast meal. The cheese toastie is lovely and you can feel your arteries clogging up as you eat but what a way to go! The iced lemonade drink is sharp and helps cut through the cheese. Overall the food is lovely and well worth the £2.49 asking price.
L.
A lovely breakfast. Best cheese toastie, super cheesy!
The loudness of the music is so uncomfortable so much that you cannot hear the order numbers being screamed out loud over waiting people in the queue. Nice music but volume is extremely inappropriate for a breakfast time.
S. H.
First timer had a bagel egg and bacon breakfast with hash brown and a hot chocolate with caramel. Bagel was nice and toasted lovely crunch when you bit into it. Hot chocolate was amazing.
F.
Love Tim Hortons, must try their Canada’s favourite , recommend French Vanilla Latte ! Love the Donuts as well !
Upstairs seating available , and very bright and cozy feel . However there are some loitering teenagers who gathered to vape . Not sure they are patrons , but is a bit unsightly .
H. A.
Been craving this coffee for a long time, the French Vanilla latte is the best coffee I've ever had! Wish Tim Hortons was available in London so I didn't have to go all the way to Birmingham to enjoy it but I would do it again! The food is also all Halal which is also an added benefit as it's quite nice for a quick snack!
F. C.
Always a pleasure to come to Tim Hortons - comfortable sitting area with plug sockets and fast internet, fairly quiet as for a very central location and low prices, with a great breakfast deal until 11am every day. Good selection of drinks and sandwiches/wraps as well as the numerous donuts for a sweet tooth. Been there many times, always able to find a sitting spot. Will be back!
B. N.
First time coming here, friendly staff, speedy service and if you want too sit in there's ample seating upstairs. There is also a area where you can pre order and pay like most fast food places.
S. D.
Fantastic location right in the middle of a busy High Street. Fast and efficient service. Crispy chicken was lovely to eat and definitely worth another visit.
E. B.
Huge choice of breakfast items, breakfast normally £3.49, but you can get a breakfast, hash brown and drink for £2.39, before 11 am.
Very very quick service and plenty of seats.
D. C.
This might be the best placed Tim Hortons I have come across so far. Their breakfast menu are unbeatable at the price and what you can get. The food quality, my lord when I first tried Tim Hortons I could not believe why I was wasting money and time with some over popularized branches like especially the clowns one with the arches you know. This place is well recommended try the breakfast menu it's cheaper then any other fast food restaurants and the quality of food is superior. And when you try it you are even happy to pay full price after breakfast since it's just perfect.
P. N.
🧋Amazing cold drinks - will definitely return for those drinks 😍 (we had Iced French Vanilla Latte and Mango drink)
🤝 great customer service - the people there really know their stuff and can recommend you food.
🍔 Burgers are good but could use more sauce
J. P.
Good coffee & a variety of food options that are reasonably priced. Is usually busy at the counter but you have self ordering kiosks to beat the queue. Easily find seating as they have a large space upstairs. Just watch out on the stairs - have seen a number of people slip on them as the steps are narrower on one side as they go up the bend. Try the donuts!
D. M.
Was in Birmingham for the Xmas markets and had a breakfast meal here which was bloody lovely, coffee was great, saw the boxes of timbits and went back to order 2 to take home with me. Sadly when I got back home and opened the first box it only contained 9, that's OK I thought, no biggie but then I checked the choices I picked and this is where I was disappointed because it just seemed that no matter what you choose on the order screen, you do just get a random selection so why not just say that? Yes the second box was the same and again only 9, could be an issue if you're sharing them equally!!
a. p.
First time at Tim Hortons. Burger was lovely, although the meat looked a strange grey colour, milkshake nice but straw didn't last and hard to drink it with paper one, waffle chips undercooked, service quick and polite, donuts lovely, no seating available upstairs with people not even eating or drinking and using the place to chill, outside looked a little grubby and dirty tables needed cleaning. Overall good but prefer Five Guys for burgers and chips/milkshakes.
M. S.
Awesome place for a deal! And great coffee. Place was so busy, they mixed up my order. I've been several times but wish they have a more streamlined process. Everything bottle necked to the point of collection. You end up running into people.
M. C.
Excellent food, bought the Christmas burger and lattice fries, decent price but tasted amazing, bbq Sauce was insane
But, timbits were average, but the custard one was great, all the others were not all that
Also the machine had problems, needs fixing
R. P.
First time trying a Tim Hortons. Lady behind the till recommended the French vanilla and oh my! Not a big coffee drinker but this is my new favorite. Donuts weren't to our taste but that's not their fault. Friendly staff, nice seating area upstairs. Knocked a star off only because a small really is very very short.

I will always love this shop. I put a cheeky lil note that it was my birthday and they gave me a free sweet treat. This is why this shop will always be my favourite shop. This really made my day. Thank you so much to everyone in the shop you have no idea how much this made my day ❤️
M. H.
Great place if you want to sit and revise with your friends or individually. The drinks are okay, not to sure about the food as it does not state if it’s halal or not. One thing I would say, is to avoid the vanilla ice latte. You genuinely can’t even taste the vanilla and it’s not sweet either, so disappointing. But other than that it’s an okay facility, even incorporating technology to make it easier and quicker to order food and drinks
K.
Easy to order via self service. Quick & great quality. White orange hot chocolate is amazing.
S. R.
Had the veggie breakfast wrap meal with a French vanilla latte. You get a hash brown free with the meal . Before 11am it’s a amazing discounted price of £1.99 . Well worth it indeed , would recommend to family and friends.
S. I.
I'm sharing details of my own experience. The long queue told me that it must be good or everyone has bad taste. I ordered a bagel and coffee. Both were fantastic. It was worth the wait.
K. G.
Fast food: I had tuna melt toastie with waffle fries (and garlic mayo dip), with the new lemonade refresher drink which was very nice. Tables to eat-in upstairs. Can totally recommend the donuts from here, super delicious! Also available are wraps, burgers, tea, coffee, and there's veggie options too.
K. B.
The burger was okay better than a mcdonalds but not outstanding. Fries were nice. We tried to guess the flavours of the mini doughty but they all tasted of cinnamon. Would return for a donught though since those looked amazing.
W. A.
No cash payments. This is crazy. I then ordered on the machine and pressed take out. They gave me the drink in a plastic cup. Large caramel latte. Couldn't taste the caramel till I was 3 quarters of the way through my drink. Basically the caramel sat at the bottom.
a. O.
Drinks were absolutely spot on, if not a little expensive in comparison to other coffee chains such as Costa or Starbucks. Where it let it's self down was the upstairs seating which was an absolute mess, rubbish bins full and and excess rubbish piling up on top. Tables full of left over rubbish. Clearly the 2 staff members on shift downstairs were preoccupied, but there should be a third looking after the seating area which ruined the experience. Shame as my last experience in the Belfast store was amazing.
W. H. C. (.
As of 2021, best coffee chain going!
Canada's finest!!! Drinks taste great and food is good too if you're looking for a quick bite to eat.
F. S.
A big shout out to Josh who is the manager at this branch (New St Birmingham). Thank you so much for looking after us today. We had partners visiting us from Poland, Bulgaria, Spain and Romania. We needed a quiet area to sit and talk and Josh organised a separate area where we could do this without any disturbance. His hospitality was immaculate and obviously everything we ordered was spot on. Our guests were extremely grateful and appreciated your support.
M. M.
One of the only locations in the UK. Super close to new St station, inexpensive breakfast meals, delicious donuts/shakes. There's a very spacious dining area upstairs as well.
T. R.
Sat in after purchasing a drink and a snack, the drink I ordered wasn't quite what I expected ( nothing wrong with it, it just wasn't for me after trying it ) I asked if I could exchange it and the staff were more than happy to replace it with something I knew I would like.
The donuts are always great too, I got a box of Timbits which I won highly reccomended.
K.
Very busy so we decided to just take away. No toilets available without sitting in and asking for a code (which I do understand but it was upstairs anyway).
Drinks were really nice but would only visit as a treat as they are pricey. You can get a card stamped to get a free 6th drink.
M. R.
Good burgers spoiled by too much sauce, lattice fries are a great idea but they were soggy. On a good day I think they could be great. On a busy day it was slightly disappointing
T. P. F.
It's a different fast food experience yet the whole look of the place also feels very familiar. I liked what I had and enjoyed the coffee.
B. W.
Years after having lived in Canada, I still miss Tim Hortons very much. Unfortunately we don't have one in London, but whenever I travel anywhere they do have one, I have to visit!
Food and drink are regularly Timmys quality here, there's loads of seating upstairs. Unfortunately cleaning isn't always to the highest standard in the seating areas.
K. H.
Love it, how have they not replaced McDonalds yet. The breakfast deal is an absolute bargain. Coffee is great and the donuts are amazing.
M. R.
We liked the staff who were freindly and helpful. The breakfasts we had were a bit pants but the coffee is great and you need to try the doughnuts as they were awesome.
P.
Unfortunately the hot chocolate was unavailable but I was given a caramel latte instead, which was nice. The iced cappuccino was a bit lumpy. Bit of confusion with the order and the TimBits were cold. Busy place but there were enough seats upstairs
K.
Hash browns not as good as another well known fast food establishment but at £2.99 for breakfast meal I’m not that fussed. Timbits were ok.
R. P.
First time ever trying Tim Hortons, had the bagel with bacon, egg, cheese, and a hash brown. Cheaper and much better quality than McDonalds!
R. E.
Can't moan for the price and the food is reasonable
A. R.
Would be a good idea to put the code for the toilets on the receipt. Vegetarian Breakfast muffin was delicious and filling.
C. D.
Breakfast was great and only £2.99 with a flat white! Decent place to sit in and vegetarian options.
J. W.
Iced latte was slightly warm today and not as sweet as usual but still very good
A. L.
Pleasantly suprised had assumed only sold doughnuts but has warm meals too. Ordered grilled cheese meal and a box of timbits to try out everything was delicious. Think seating needs to be reassessed as some elseats upstairs were low and made it difficult to eat comfortably.
R. K.
Fab morning breakfast . Clean upstairs facilities to sit and eat. I had veggie sausage and egg bap. It was delicious and £2.49 only with coffee
P. 1.
They wouldnt take money. Covid blah blah yet no one cleaning touch screens so not that bothered obviousky. Only card accepted.
The babychino wasn't free like most places it was 50p
it was cold.
The lid didnt fit.
It came in an essoresso cup '' much smaller than most places. and was full of some sludgey coco mess.
So basicaly shocking!
Maple caramel Doughnut was pretty damn good actualy but more expensive than Krispy kreme and not quite as fresh.
The coffee i had was like a sachet mix, french vanilla ''the famous'' very sweet. Pleasent but fealt like it had never seen actual coffee in its life.
Overall i enjoyed it but wasnt as impressed as i thought i would be. Perhaps try some actual food next time so i can update

I went to here today 13/06/2020 I was my first time I am eating this restaurant I haven’t been eating before but it makes me feel unhappy because the chicken Wrap was cold 🥶 and staff was very Very rude hopefully next time they will get full stars
Thank you 🙏 for This Difficult time you guys giving a service.

Great selection of hot drinks. You'll be confused. The timbits (mini donuts) are really soft and tasty. Their chicken burger was one of the best I've had in Birmingham city centre but hated the bagel sandwiches. Just too hard to chew and a bit bland. Overall a solid 4.5
J. B.
Food is tasty and always prepared fast, so good that it's my regular lunch spot in town. However their quality can often vary from great to forgetting the sauce.
Upstairs seating area is often full throughout the day.
Y. P.
First time eating at Tim Hortons. My daughters meal came missing a few things, including the booklet, only crayons. The lady that is cleaning the table area is lovely, my daughter went to ask her if she could have a booklet, the lady said they were out of stock but brought my daughter a treat.
She was also helping people find seats when the seating area was full. She really made the experience great. Sorry for not asking her name.
S. C.
Breakfast offer is really good. Food tastes good too. Only downside was that one of the workers was quite rude. Otherwise good food and the upstairs is very quiet and peaceful.
C. C.
Popped in for some donuts and a drink. Selection was good and service was quick. Inside seating area was fairly pleasant.
S. M.
Been here quite a few times. Not been to a Canadian branch though so can't compare but the food here is great. Service can definitely be improved, staff look disinterested in life but donuts are amazing, soft, fluffy and generously filled. Their strawberry cheesecake donut was our fave from a recent box of six 😍 drinks are always amazing, abit calorific and on the sweeter side but very enjoyable. Previously tried the toasties and breakfast too. Great quality.
A. x.
My experience everytime has being amazing. I have been their four times now and always enjoy the food and I have always had a great experience and the staff are wonderful. One of my favourite things to have is hands down the tim bites and the lattice fries. Although sometimes the food can be a bit cold as I tend to like my food more warmer
D. G.
Simple fast food but done really well, tasted great, nice seasonal special coffee flavours. A very welcome quick but warming breakfast after a long train commute before starting work.
E. F.
The food is ok it's perfect for a snack. I had a meatball wrap which was better than I expected. However, the wedges were not well fried so they were soggy.
The coffe surprisingly is really good as well as the donuts. If you wanna try something new this is the place.
D. P.
Recommended to try Tim Hortons, was not disappointed. Now my favourite go to coffee shop. Food good to. Please try.
S. T.
Another fabulous breakfast meal deal. Great value for money.
R.
Tim Hortons is a taste of North America. With its affordable prices, fresh donuts, delicious food, and unforgettable ice cap this place is the best in town. Originally I thought they were going to change the Canadian vibe, but they’ve kept everything exactly the same!! Tim Hortons is an eatery I can finally afford living in England 😂😂
ف.
When I viewed the menu here online, I saw that the timbits were £2.99, but when I went there irl, I was a bit bummed out when they were £3.99. And although I expected a little more filling, they were nice regardless.
R. R.
TH don't need my review to say how awesome they are. Absolutely awesome breakfast wraps and the 2.49 deal? What's that's just next level. Unbelievable service and food
I. R.
Have been to Tims recently.
The food is not bad I had the tuna melt and it was decent to be fair.
The caramel frappe wasnt bad either but it was too sweet for my personal taste.
Prices are decent aswell to be fair.
N. J.
Good value breakfast meals.
Coffee is nice but found it varies in strength on each of my visits
L. A.
Coffee is fab. The double double is a taste of Canada and perfect as a perk up mid shopping trip. Timbits make everything better.
Efficient service and lots of seating
d. l.
Yet again great customer service from Alison!!!
Love coming in store to see her smiling face and way with words
Go Alison!!!
B. B.
This is a decent place especially with the cheap breakfast deals at the minute. Only issues are some of the touchscreens dont work and are rather close together. They need to clean upstairs more often, sometimes just looks neglected. But service is decent otherwise.
J. S.
Love, love, love.....although the upstairs bathrooms were a joke. 2 of the 3 were closed and the 3rd had no working flush and the the hand drier was broken 😢
Also a LOT of people loitering upstairs and laying over the seats wirh no food or drinks.....
T. C.
Previously would rate higher, but yesterday we weren't that impressed with the Tim Bits; we got less than we ordered and they didn't have the same great taste. Good drinks, nice menu and the service was quick.
R. M.
Understandable 5pm rush for the current meal offer, but lovely food, great service, and awesome coffee :)
A. A.
Nice place and atmosphere. Seating is plenty and customer service is great. We had the breakfast meal which we were allowed to customise a bit. One order was wrong but they quickly replaced it and gave us a free donut. They have a good coffee selection as well.
J. S.
Their hot drinks are always great and the seating area upstairs is very sociable.
a. h.
Enjoyed a really tasty burger and lattice fries with dip and small soft drink all for £2.99, really friendly and helpful staff too!
F. A.
coffee is ok but they need to update their menu because I order a flavor to find its not available.
D.
Amazing food breakfast, lunch and dinner. They do amazing deals, currently breakfast meal is £2.99
C. S.
Sitting upstairs to people watch whilst enjoying a coffee and a donut is an absolute must when in Birmingham now.
The egg and cheese muffin is tasty as is the apple fritter donut.
It's quick service in here too; they actually got a good team of people working as a well oiled machine.
H. B.
Finally got the chance to enjoy Tim's coffee in the UK. Perfect if you like 'normal' coffee, or tea, but fancy frothy coffee iced coffee, etc is available if you're more used to Starbucks! Lots of comfortable seating available upstairs if you're looking to settle down for a while, but also tables in the ground floor if stairs aren't great for you or you're just there for a brief visit.
We found good options for breakfast, with both sweet and savoury dishes available- breakfast wraps, hot filled English muffins, bagels, sweet muffins and doughnuts.
Overall, just as good as in Canada!
A. L.
Staff mixed up our orders twice but the coffee lived up to the hype. Food very generic however some Canadian style donut choices which were delicious. Unfortunately 3 stars as lots of flies in the seating area which was not very comfortable and staff mixed up orders for dairy free.
A. K.
It's a burger restaurant with a name there's nothing special really apart from the doughnuts which probably give Krispy Kreme a run for there money.
K. J.
Overpriced hot drinks like a Costa or Starbucks but makes the difference in a wider selection and a better atmosphere in my opinion.
M. S.
Nice alternative to other coffee chains, a nice difference and change as well known and loved Canadian brand compared to the other coffee house chains.
A. F.
Like a better McDonald's where the food is actually nice 👌
A. F.
Britain welcomes this new chain!!
Prices are great, food is tasty, the hash-browns are not what I expected but nice in their own way and the coffee is perfect!
I wish I was hungry enough to try the deserts. Will be back to try them soon!
P. H.
I've been working from home a lot lately, but when I do go into the office I like to have one of the breakfast wraps - it's a good way to start the day.
a. a.
Tim Hortons opening was great as they gave out free lunches to the first 100 people in line. Although I didn’t make the first 100, they gave free coffees and a baked good of your choice to the rest of the eager people waiting in line. This was a really nice gesture as it was freezing cold and so many people came for the grand opening.
Inside the cafe, there’s seating available and there’s also an upstairs seating area. The service is super fast and your order is ready within minutes! The workers and fast and lovely to everyone.
The coffee itself is really nice, and the French Vanilla is amazing!!! The baked goods are also nice but nothing beats Krispy Kreme’s according to me. The famous “tinbits” were quite dissatisfying to be honest, not really what I was expecting. Other than that, I would visit again!
I. G.
A bit slow service but not that bad. A part from that food was perfect.
T. O.
Prices more expensive that other fast food establishments. Clean, feels safe and lovely food.
R. H.
Loved it finally decided to go in with a friend when I have walked past so many times. The French Vanilla coffee OMG so delicious I will be back just for this alone!
V. P.
My favourite fast food chain in terms of food. It's delicious and yummy. Service is horrible however. Found this very upsetting, as the place itself is wonderful. Also you can't pay by cash...
Z.
Caramel frappe was nice. Very big aswell.
J. G.
The French Vanilla Latte is highly recommended!
S. J. B.
Never tried this before until now. Ok food. Good service. Love the iced teas tho!!!
p. m.
Large coffee was large and strong. I did not eat but the doughnuts looked good.
K. P.
mmmmmmm, Dark Roast. Bringing back memories of visiting Canada, leaving the Timbits alone though and shame they don't do the Red Velvet cookies. Recommend them highly and can't wait till they spread further into the country. You also need to stock more bags of coffee to take home please.
H. B.
Lovely all day breakfast menu, excellent sweet drinks, and a good selection of desserts - especially the Timbits doughnut balls.
I've found this particular Tim Hortons a bit noisy at times when the nearby pubs are putting on sports events, but for takeaway I would definitely recommend here.
R. D.
Good food but staff need to be managed better to make sure the restaurant and toilets are kept clean and tidy.
A. M.
Great service, wonderful coffee, French Vanilla latte
A. H.
First time visit on freedom day, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast wrap was great, the coffee excellent but the price is unbeatable. Will be back to try a doughnut next time I'm in Brum!
C. W.
I used to come here for breakfast all the time, but now everything is opening up it's very busy, which is to be expected.
However, after work one evening I wanted to order some timbits. Three members of staff at the tills and all self service touch points were in use.
As soon as I approached the till, staff members went the separate ways, and one of them told me he has no one to serve and to use self serve.
No apology, no offer to help just dismissive.
I probably won't rush back
M. M.
Had good strong tea and a snack reasonable price
Recommended
J. K.
Look, my wife is Canadian. This review is biased. I love a box of Timbits as much as the next person, so having Timmy’s in the city centre is a dream come true. Make of that what you will!
T. B.
Real Tim Horton's from Canada! Brought back soo many memories. Their White Hot chocolate is the best!!
E. G.
First being to a Hortons had never heard of them or it till going to brum very relaxing atmosphere and coffee ☕ and all the various other drinks and cakes they have do rival some if the more established coffee ☕ houses
R. W.
Apparently Canada don't have GLUTEN FREE food. Best part is the coffee, but the food is a little over priced. Buying a wrap and a drink will come to about £4.80, if you want it to be a meal it is £5 - which means you get wedges..
If you're look for a wrap, better off going to McDonald's.
M. R.
I've been here many times when I'm in town, never let's me down. The French vanilla latte is amazing. Not surprising considering it's Tim Horton's!
M. S. J.
Tasty breakfast, nice hot white chocolate and chocolate brownie shake were good. Good value for money
S. C.
Love Tim Horton’s. What a surprise to find one in the UK. We used to go all the time when we were in Canada. Quick service. NHS/BlueLightCard discount. Very nice iced coffee.
R. C.
Good coffee great food, terrible service
K. B.
Every time I visit Birmingham, Tim Hortons is a must. Great coffee and donuts! Place is clean and staff are friendly!
B. S. (.
Amazing place. They oven bake all their donuts so they tasty amazing. Their coffee is so sweet and so tasty. Their meal deals are affordable and a good amount and good quality. My favourite drinks are the French vanilla latte and the frozen lemonade (which they use fresh lemons in, not cordial). The staff are really kind and I would 100% recommend going here.
E. A.
Best breakfast meal deal ever. Tasty, rich with nutrients. The right place to start the day
E. D.
Excellent place for breakfast. Good prices compared to the food. Nice atmosphere and good music. Would recommend to a friend.
C.
The coffee here is incredible, but being a Canadian fast food joint, they are high both on sugar and calories… my dentist doesn’t like me going here lol
D. H.
Food is good and the breakfast prices are very reasonable

Lovely service. Lovely staff. Freshly made coffee. Great food. During the "Eat Out to Help Out" they are doing a £1.99 breakfast deal which is anything off the menu with a rosti and a hot/cold drink which beats McDonald's hands down!!
Z. C.
Smelt amazing from the minute we walked in. Staff were genuinely polite and everyone had a job and was busy doing something. Worked really well and all everyone had a smile on their faces and seemed genuinely happy to be at work.
s. “. A.
Hot food and drink is good but its nothing out of the ordinary. They do do a very good breakfast offer for any drink/ food for £2.49! Great for on the budget.
N. S.
Lovely quick coffee place, comfortable seating and tasty food.. Great price also coffee is amazing.
M. J.
Nice breakfast, quick service and nice staff.
J. E.
First trip to Tim Hortons but very happy with service and products. Staff were friendly and polite and dealt with my order quickly and efficiently. Coffee was a nice flavour and good temperature. Upstairs seating area is light, spacious with comfy seats and plenty of tables. Nice environment to sit in for a break from shopping or for quick work meetings.
S. W. (.
The timbits are good but a bit doughy some flavours make it less noticeable than others. Coffee is pretty much what you would expect from a chain coffee store. I had a breakfast wrap which I don't know why I tried, it was a fairly big standard fast food chain style which I personally don't enjoy. Very helpful staff, service was super quick. The place it's self has a very comfy, relaxed and homely feel about it.
A. A.
Saturday morning breakfast visit. Fast sevice, good food and amazing French vanilla! Keep up the good work Tim Hortons!
B. S.
Found staff abit rude, and considering there is a virus going round it's not very clean. Didn't see any cleaners and the area for sugar etc was filthy. Fix up guys !!
A. H.
First time eating, it was ok but the stairs to get upstairs are an accident waiting to happen.
A. W.
A quick coffee to warm up. Quick service and the kids loved the Timbits.
H.
Great service, delicious food and a friendly atmosphere. Thank you to the lovely member of staff who offered me a small sample of the French Vanilla as there was no dairy free option available! I can't have much dairy, so I wouldn't have been able to order a drink without wasting 80% of it. However, the few sips that I had from the sample meant that I was able to try the drink that I was recommended by a friend in Canada and not get a stomach ache! I can't thank you enough! <3
M.
My favourite fast food place- great food and quick
H. O.
Tim's is a good place for doughnuts and coffee. The doughnuts are available in a variety of flavours, and makes the trip worthwhile. There are savoury standards (cheese toasties or crispy chicken burgers) which are nice but nothing special. The staff are friendly and helpful and they're very diligent about social distancing.
U. a.
Desserts are fantastic , looks amazing inside the nice lighting and the comfortable seats upstairs really makes you bring your experience to another level. The only thing that stopping me from giving this coffee shop a 5 star rating is the coffee it doesn’t have that traditional taste which you’ll get at normal coffee shops however I would recommend getting the hot chocolate it is fab!
A. S.
Service was pretty shocking. Food ok, prices reasonable.
S.
First time at Tim Hortons and it was amazing. Great food, great drinks for a good price. I was surprised there was an entire second floor with lots of places to sit. The staff was friendly and patient with me and they recommended me to try the unique French Vanilla which was amazing. Good atmosphere too. Would definitely come here again!
U. P.
This review is only based on the hot chocolate and 12 box donuts I purchased.
The donuts are no where near the quality or taste another major American brand is. The donuts are okayish but it's an acquired taste. I would still recommend because someone else might like it. The hot chocolate is better than most places I have tasted and price wise its still a little more expensive than your high st coffee places.
I would like to give it another half a mark but 3 will have to do on this occasion
R. V.
Greatest Coffee shop in the world and cant wait to order my double double bagel..with a everything bagel with cream cheese..WELCOME to the UK a little taste of home.... Oh Canada!!!!
L. H.
The coffee here is quite simply some of the best coffee I've ever had. Reasonable price coffee. Lots of seating. I've been here twice and both times witnessed homeless coming in approaching customers for money which the staff don't do anything about. Definitely recommend French Vanilla Latte and "Tim Bits"
D. S.
Food and drink very good, but I just felt ignored by the staff. Staff really busy and nobody made eye contact or acknowledged customers as they arrived. The food and drink alone cannot justify the expensive prices. Probably won't go back.
Z.
Lovely chilled and comfortable atmosphere. Great selection of coffees and laid out very well on the selection boards. Didn't have any food but all of the sweet treats look delish! Had a fruit smoothie and it was amazing! Very handy to have the extended opening ours to facilitate some evening study. Will definitely be going regularly.
V. C.
Breakfast amazing. Cheaper than MCDs and Better.
R. P.
Amazing place. Unlike other coffee houses the staff are more friendly and not pretentious. I go out my way to come here before work for a French vanilla latte. Only draw back is that they don't have the de caff readily available on the night. It's a 15 minute wait. Other than that best and fave coffee house
J. A.
Good place and even better location in the heart of Birmingham.
S. G.
It's big and spacious but coffee does not taste the same as in Canada :(. My husband orders black and I get double cream, both of us say it tastes different. We lived in Canada for more than 10 years and are big coffee drinkers. I hope they change it to the authentic taste.
A. K.
Best Donuts on Planet Earth!!!
The maple dipped and maple cream donuts here truly are world class and an excellent treat for when I'm in the city. The price is also unbelievably low price when compared to other well known donut brands.
I also hear the French Vanilla Latte here is amazing but as someone who doesn't drink coffee, I'll let you guys decide!!
J. K.
Good coffee, shouldn't take long till they take over London. Good space upstairs as well.
A. D.
Enough drinks and food options for snacking or having a quick meal. Great for chilling with friends. The area upstairs is really nice with enough places to sit in group or alone. There are plugs available. The toilets need the receipt code to be accessed but they are not very tidy. The hot drinks are great.
v. w.
The wife has been waiting to go to Tim Hortons in Canada. When she found out there was a couple opening in Birmingham and Manchester we had to try it out. It took another two years but yesterday it was well worth the wait. Definitely going to be coming back when I am in the Midlands.
Their vegan options were scrumptious. Well made and hit the spot. (Vegan wrap (Y) )
Their selections of drinks were also well crafted. Not too sweet. Just enough to keep you satisfied, like their frozen lemonade.
Their doughnuts are just right. Not extremely indulgent like Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and are quite cheap. The custard was smooth and light.
Definitely need to try out all the other flavours.
Till we meet again Tim Hortons.
C. E.
Went for breakfast. Got the sausage muffin meal with a French vanilla latte, and also tried their ‘reindeer donut’. The egg in the muffin was really fluffy and the whole thing was tasty, but the actual muffin was not toasted and therefore very stodgy/dry. The hash brown was also nice, but had a soggy undercooked texture. The French vanilla latte however, was the best tasting flavoured coffee I’ve ever had. I would definitely come back if just for that! The donut was soft and reasonably priced, I would like to try more.
H. J. (. P.
First visit to Tim Hortons and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were friendly, polite and knowledgeable when I had queries about the products.
M. A.
Lots of seating and fairly quick service, good drinks with plenty to choose from although smaller selection of food than in Canada (not red velvet muffins). Only complaint was that they had to change the type of chicken in my wrap as they had no grilled chicken ready.
L. P.
Loved Tim Hortons. So nice to sit on comfortable chairs in a so called fast good outlet. The food was prepared as we waited, it was REALLY tasty and reasonably priced. The drinks were great. A must visit and make space for a doughnut as well.
J. G.
Tim bites tasted just like in Canada! Cashier was extremely nice, but didn't mention that the cold brew had syrup in it. Be aware of extra sugar!
Good thing they have calories listed on the menu.
S. E.
Delicious coffee, I was was wired for hours after the dark roast! Couldn't believe the quality considering how cheap it is. The doughnuts were very fresh and delicious. I won't have coffee anywhere else in Birmingham now. I'm going to Canada next year and look forward to trying it there.
T.
I love Tim Hortons it has the best coffee much better than its competitors in my opinion and the breakfast muffins are not greasy and are filling for the money. It's my go to place when I'm in town for a morning double sausage and egg muffin with a delicious cappuccino. 🤤
T.
Food was okay, coffee was okay, atmosphere was very nice upstairs and the staff hit on my friend which made her uncomfortable.
x. x.
Always friendly staff, great tasting coffee and lovely baked treats. Really handy that you can use your own refillable cup and save money too. Now my go-to place for my morning coffee.
R. L.
First trip to Tim Hortons in the UK. Thought it was good.
P.
Simply loved the muffin and French Vanilla. Just toooo good. Wish they have more branches across UK and start with Reading
E. J.
Good reminder of Canadian coffee shop/take a load off culture.
Location is easily accessible in Birmingham city centre. Lots of seating.
Menu is pretty varied, but not as elaborate as on Canada. Donuts and hot chocolate are nice. Breakfast and wraps are okay.
Only gripe is that the donut case in the middle of the order counters sometimes causes customers confusion and leads to an unnecessary queue forming out the door.
I'd recommend. I shall be going often.
J. R.
Can’t go wrong with food on the go from Tim Hortons, only problem is there isn’t enough of them located. Love the food especially their doughnuts xxx Staff could be a little more attentive at this branch however.
C. C.
Nicer than the dreaded M in both food quality and service. Would suggest that everyone try it if they haven't
G.
Decent and cheap fast-food coffee shop.
Coffee, Toastie and Wedges for about £4.50 which is cheaper than elsewhere. It's all what you'd expect for the price. The wedges are nice and a good portion.
The seating area is spacious but usually very messy.
The staff are friendly and will explain anything you don't know.
B. W.
I always like Tim Hortons, for good, reasonably priced coffee served quickly and efficiently. The staff are helpful and accomodating. The upstairs area is big and spacious but often the litter is not cleared away quick enough to accommodate the large number of visitors so you sometimes end up having to do it yourself.
t. t.
Not as good as the Tim's in Canada. Disappointed they don't do home style biscuits and they haven't got French Vanilla Cappuccino to buy. When ordering I asked for this and the assistant looked at me like I was talking another language. I have never seen such a long queue for Tim's, ever! Now is that a good thing or are the staff to slow. Either way I gave 5 stars as I enjoyed my Boston Cream tart and Tim bits.
K. R.
Music doesn’t flood the ears. Fully stocked. Full value. Ranch wasn’t good ranch, if it was even ranch. Original blend coffee was “subtle”, not strong at all - but that’s fine. Great service, great seating, great heating, great eating. Thanks Tim.
F.
Had a cup of tea, a cake and a hot chocolate eating in. The cake was ok, but everything was in plastic and to be thrown away. I want a mug for my tea while drinking in.
A. J.
Great for grabbing a sweet treat.. If you go please make sure u try the French vanilla hot drink. The doughnuts are lovely too. There's always a line as downstairs is a small space. They also serve wraps and so on which I've not tried yet.
E. C.
This Tim Horton's is almost as good as those in Canada. The service is friendly, the coffee is great, and the doughnuts and timbits are fantastic. Prices are reasonable but there isn't quite as much choice as in the Canadian originals.
This Tim's seems to be very busy, so I can imagine other branches opening in the UK soon.
s. c.
Great breakfast meal and only 2.50 for breakfast wrap and coffee.
W. D.
I love Tim Hortons. They don't pretend to be anything they're not and serve excellent coffee and pastries at a very fair price. Infinitely better than the other big chain coffee shops. The double double is to die for.
E. F.
The first time I ordered from there I got the most amazing drink I've ever had, ordering the exact same thing since has led to recieving dishwater tasting tan liquid.
The food is nothing special if you are looking at the lunch or breakfast menu but the sweet treats are very nice.
G. S.
We visited Tim Hortons New Street on the 14/12/2018.
The lines were out the door, it was great to see the establishment so busy and buzzing.
The reasoning for 3 stars: Ordered a Grilled Cheese Sandwich with French Vanilla coffee and wedges. Tasted great, really enjoyed it. Price we paid was Very reasonable too. Plenty of seating upstairs.
The reasoning for missing out on the extra 2 stars: There are no doughnuts that are egg free, no vegan options either. When in Canada and Dubai the Tim Hortons were eggless and for this very reason we were excited to visit here in the UK, but then disappointed. The staff were not very friendly, quite abrupt and rude and it made you think "service with a smile" no loner exists? Every other table was quite dirty and this was a let down too.
Kind thanks
Mr G Singh
R. T.
Good service. Coffee and doughnuts are good.
C. K.
Great fast service. Wide selection of food made to a decent standard for price.
L. A.
Good coffee, food is OK, and conveniently quick to arrive. There's a nice seating area upstairs where you can chill and people watch in peace. I enjoyed the chilled out music play list too :)
T.
I love Tim Hortons from the time I've lived in Canada. Best Maple dips ever. Good filter coffee.. I wish we had them in Germany
N. H.
I love Tim Hortons...but it is overpriced here un UK. Shop was a bit scruffy looking downstairs, not a great atmosphere
J. K.
Very good coffee and a nice breakfast for £1.99 good value staff seemed a bit rushed and made mistakes with the order but they did correct them quickly
S. B.
Great price, novel to see a Canadian Chain in the UK. Food isn't bad for the price. Drink range is great
S. H.
Nice breakfast but their coffee sucks!!!
D. C.
Good value food but the staff are always disorganised. They seem surprised when you order a coffee. If the iced capps didn't taste so good I'd get a meal deal from Tesco opposite!
B. M.
Almost like being home. I ask for a double double and they knew what it was. Ice Cap and Boston Cream were spot on.
R. S.
Very popular McDonald's clone. Breakfast ok but the sausage is an acquired taste.
d. f.
really really love their caramel iced latte and my mom loves their apple fritter donuts
K. 7.
The place itself is good and easy to find . The foods good.
g. 8. o.
Fire pancakes lovely. Vegetaerin berakfest baps is worth dying for and the maple donouts 2nd to none best spot in town for breaky. U gotta take advantage off the 1.99 coffee and side deal
T. E.
Great value, fast, friendly & efficient staff. What else could you need.
M. M.
Excellent Coffee. One of the newest players in the crowded Birmingham coffee shop market Tim Hortons is a welcome addition though quite small it's well located and delivers excellent service and the best French Vanilla Latte anywhere in the city Definitely worth a visit
r. f.
Favourite place to eat
I really like that they have vegan options and they taste so good would definitely recommend the wrap and the peach tea.
J. B.
Love the coffee here. OK, it's not Starbucks or Caffè Nero - their coffee isn't hand ground halfway up a mountain by a Peruvian grandmother. But it is barely £2 for a large cup.
The donuts are also tasty - I recommend the Canadian Maple (filled with cream) or the seasonal Reindeer (with a chocolate cake donut-hole nose).
I was less impressed by the breakfast muffin - the only reason this review loses a star. The muffin wasn't toasted and tasted really dry and nasty. Simply put, for breakfast muffins go to McDonald's. For coffee and donuts, this is the place to go.
D. M.
Overall good experience and atmosphere is cosy and great for hanging out with friends. The prices are fair and most of the menu items are good. The hash browns are quite small and the streak and cheese panini is mostly cheese and bread with a bit of streak, kinda of pathetic actually and disappointing. The drinks are what make this place shine and the caramel latte is to die for. Staff are helpful and the toilet are nice.
R. N.
Nothing wrong with the food but the toilet was disgusting, please check the crevice between the lid and seat it was covered in brown stains, tap was loose spins round when trying to use and generally, not very clean
R. W.
Good selection of cakes etc. Hot chocolate was tasty. Inappropriate juvenile behaviour should not be tolerated. Not happy to see youths throwing food at each other in a public coffee shop
C. B.
Decent snacks here and foods ive never seen before and its opposite starbucks, great competition lol!
Lots of seating is also available upstairs and their prices aren't to bad. Would rather go here than another coffee shop with this much seating offered. Fresh doughnuts are also a great treat.
K. A.
I love sugary treats, I shouldn't but I do, however the drinks and snacks here have soooooo much sugar in them it was too much even for me. It just seems unnecessary and ruins the taste. I didn't try the hot food but it looks good.
J. S.
Ordered 3 coffees, waited for eternity. I swear they grew the plant, harvested the beans, roasted them, ground the coffee... distilled the water from the canal then served the drink. 8 members of staff working. 1 poor guy was making the coffee, 1 was constantly on his phone (must be the manager), 2 emptying the bins, the rest just looked a bit lost.
Nice coffee, just be prepared to wait...
S. T.
Overpriced burgers, very few lattice fried with the meal.
H. L.
I hate the queue system here (because awkward position of the counters pillars etc) which makes Starbucks next door look really good.
Then again you got Timbits, more food options that doesn't taste bland (no offence bucks..) so better overall. Sorry Starbucks...I'm still gold customer but Timmy does it better
L. S.
I love French vanilla drink it is so tasty.
J. H.
Lovely vibe
Staff are always friendly.....
Plenty of Canadian Original Roast To Be Had!!!
(if you like good coffee this is not for you K)
If you need sustenance and warmth in a Canadian Style, in the heart of Brum then this place is Blessed 🍁
G. P.
Amazing coffee, drinks and donuts, along with a good selection of hot sandwiches.
G. Y.
Finally managed to head down onto New Street and fight through the German Market crowds to try out this Canadian favourite.
First impressions, the place looks brilliant, with plenty of comfortable seating both upstairs and downstairs. The range of doughnuts and cakes on offer had me dribbling while I joined the lunchtime queue.
Thought I'd try one of the apple doughnuts washed down with a coffee. Full marks to the doughnut, but sadly the coffee was no better than that served by a certain high street pub chain.
m. r.
I was here today during an incident where an old lady seriously injured herself and was unconscious, the staff were as helpful as they could be but it was VERY scary to see their lack of first aid training, please consider this in future so staff aren't scrambling to help.
Overall the place serves really lovely drinks and the staff, for the most part, are helpful and lovely.
J. A.
Visit Tim Hortons often and love the consistency of the food and drinks. Always amazing. Also a great place to sit for long periods of time whether chatting or just to relax.
T. M.
Love the place.Just wish it wasn't covered in scaffolding.Great donuts and Ice Capp.Had a breakfast meal today.Very good.
L. D.
So excited to see a Tim Horton's here in Birmingham! Had my first taste when I lived in Saskatoon and became a massive fan and it love the food and my double double coffee. Can't wait to be visit again.
U. A.
I love Tim’s coffee however the service at this branch is so poor! The staff are just talking loudly to each other about random stuff. The manager who serves was on his mobile phone texting whilst serving! Waited over 5 mins for just a French vanilla latte but when it arrived from the back to the manager to serve it he was too busy smiling at his mobile phone. Why is he at work? Honestly it’s put me off totally.
M. A.
Great value food and drink!
A. H.
Venue is nice and there is a good amount of space and seating which means you don't feel like you are 'On top' of the person next to you.
However the food and coffee are very "fast food". If you want 'grab and go" then it would probably work, but then you might also just as well visit McDonald's....
*. E. *.
My excitement was short lived lol. I'll tell you why..
First of all it took me a while to decide what I wanted. The menu kept changing to adverts, making it difficult for you to decide what to order and they have no menus. Why I don't know.
Kind of annoying, because then you have to stand there waiting for the menus to come back on (they need to work on that) because I can only imagine what the ques get like and that would be because of the unecessary way they decided to have the menus. When you go you'll see what I mean. So I suggest you google the menu to save yourself time when you get there.
So after 5 minutes of staring at all the delicious little doughnuts and the food. It was "card only"!! On a sunday. No banks open. Soooo frustrating. So yeah that was the end of that fantasy. Was also kind of chilly, even being (British) 19°c out.
I gave it 4 stars because I will be going back because I'm not gonna lie the food looks nice so do the doughnuts. It's not pricey. Kind of similar to costa coffee prices or a McDonald's brekfast.
M. U.
I loved visiting Tim Horton's in Canada, I was very excited when I found out there was a timmies in Brum. It's a nice space with lots of seating available.
The sandwiches were pretty good however most of my timbits were so deformed they looked like they had been stomped on. The upstairs seating area was a bit of a mess and needed more attention from the staff.
L. M.
Friendly, helpful staff. This coffee shop gives you a taste of Canada- if you haven't been to Canada or aren't aware of Tim's then it'll be just another coffee shop in to you. It's a taste of Canada, all be it at a much higher cost!
M. L.
Donuts were amazing but upstairs was full of students heavy petting making out in every corner!
M. J.
I love Tim Hortons. The drinks are much tastier than at Starbucks across the street and the Timbits make me keep coming back for me. Just make sure you check your drink before you leave because they have a habit of getting it wrong and then arguing with you about it.
A. C.
Great variety of menu items. Authentic to the Canadian experience. Good social distancing measures in place. I'd recommend the birthday cake iced capp.
K. S.
Best vanilla roast coffee I've ever had ❤️
K. S.
It was ok, just like a Costa just looks a bit fancier, but it's more or less the same. I only tried a vegan coffee, but they do have lots of appealing hot bites that look quite tempting.
M. M.
Was a bit disappointed actually that they didnt sell their french vanilla beverage. I had driven quite the way specifically for it. But their doughnuts were pretty great. So it wasnt a complete waste of journey. Id probably make another stop if they start selling french vanilla (both the powder tins and the actual drink)
A. H.
It's not bad. They don't do their hot drinks with milk alternatives so limits choice somewhat. Didn't have a donut that time but I've had before elsewhere and they are good!
J.
The staff are very friendly & their french vanilla latte is delicious!
J. F.
It’s great to have so many different variations of doughnuts, e.g. cake doughnuts, Apple fritters, timbits. Definitely worth a try!
C. J.
Quick service, lovely doughnuts
M. K.
Nice place for a quick coffee on the way in or out of Birmingham center. Well what's better that a portion of the infamous Timbits and creamy hot choc? Nice welcoming place and friendly atmosphere!
J. s. S.
Went to Tim Horton’s. The food isn’t great, and neither is the coffee. All hype..not much substance. But...big but. There was one member is staff called “Aleks”.
He was absolutely fantastic. He was the ONLY staff who actually smiled. He was courteous and kind. Whilst we were eating, we needed more drinks. We kindly asked him if we could order more drinks. Alex’s was so kind that he took our money and bought the drinks over as well. This was incredible service.
This was better than the service received from Costa and cafe Nero.
ALL the staff of this Tim Hortons branch should learn about etiquette and eloquence of speech from Aleks. He really is an asset to this Tim Horton’s branch. If it wasn’t for him, I would have given the shop a much, much lower rating.
Thank you aleks, we will come again just for you.
D. B.
Not food is a bit Bland. Nice french vanilla
D. B.
Good seating. All day breakfast menu. Very smooth coffee
J. B.
A little taste of Canada in the centre of Birmingham. Makes a nice change from CostaNeroBucks (although there is a Starbucks next door and a Nero and Costa less than 100yds away if you miss them too much.). Nice location, bright and airy but doesn't have all the options you get in Canada.
b. m.
So I came in this morning, for a chai latte. Considering I was the only person in at 7:40, they still took 10 mins to make it, which is a long time and the member of staff new that because he kept looking at me. The taste of the chai latte-too watery with the added flavour, don't know why because in Starbucks and Costa it is thick and creamy. I've had the French vanilla and mini bites before, which I think I'll stick to next time because they're delicious. If there was an option to make my chai latte more milky and creamy I was not given this option by THs. Overall, the service in the past has been good, maybe it was just a hiccup today, staff waking up etc maybe need a shot of expresso :p
Y. Y.
Tim Horton's Iced Latte is one of the best coffee i've had.
C. M.
It's ok, but nothing special. Donuts not brilliant, but the coffee was decent, which came as a surprise since the one in Vancouver (it's a Canadian chain) served the worst coffee I've had.
N. B.
Love the coffee and cheese toasties here.
My daughter says the timbits (doughnut holes) are amazing too.
S. T.
Amazing food&drink fast service and great atmosphere! At a great price!
Would recommend!
M. G.
In these Covid-19 times, the queues are long and wait time even longer, but the Doughnuts are worth it! Great taste, good service. I've yet to try the coffee but after trying the donuts I'll definitely be back again to sample more on the menu. I can understand why Tim Horton is so highly regarded in Canada, and why its so popular here. Their breakfast wrap seems to directly rival the McDonald's breakfast wrap and the donuts are direct competition to Krispy Creme donuts! But you can have both in one shop, so it's a win/win for the customer! I tend to arrive very late at night when there is no queue but still the donuts are available and fresh...
M. M.
Timbits, doughnut holes of various varieties, are a speciality worth making the trip for.
R. S.
If you've not experienced Tim Hortons before - it's a cross between McDonalds/Subway with a bit of Starbucks thrown in. Canadian staple. Canadians know it's not the best quality, but it's Canadian, and it's pretty much a religion to them. Don't expect artisan coffee and mind blowing food. Do expect a decent, fast food breakfast and coffee for C$5 or so.
On to Brum Timmy's: You know what. It's not so bad. It's not quite Timmy's in Canada (pretty much lived on sausage biscuit when I lived over there) but a decent enough effort. Dark Roast is spot on. They do a double double which is classic Canadian. Staff don't seem to be aware of half and half which is a pity. Doughnuts have that hard, cracked glaze which is typical of British en masse manufacturing (Canadian version is softer and gooey). Didn't see biscuit on the menu (North American savoury scone).
I'll be back again just to reminisce about my time in Canada. Not bad, but not quite authentic.
M.
Great timbits, French Vanilla coffee and donuts. Only let down chicked sandwich amd chips would have been better at most fastfood venues. Got to say French Vanilla coffee is amazing and I havent seen in UK anywhere!
G. S.
Everything here is great.
Honey crueller and iced capp are great 👌
Also @Tim please bring the flavoured bagels you have in the US and Canada, I used to love them!
Q. B.
Omg..how amazing.
Gets busy but lots of seating.
They do a bluelightcard discount so dont forget that if you work for the bluelights/NHS.
A few halal options which were great.
The timbits were closer to what my wife remembered from her youth in Canada..and the double double was brilliant too.
J. R. O.
The staff and the food are good, they have variety of sweets but for example only have two or three options for vegetarians and vegans. The place is very confortable and its good for work with your laptop, for me the only serious problem is that ever half hour you must wait other half hour for reconnect to internet but they say free wifi when it's a free limited internet access.
r. m.
Best coffee n doughnuts in Birmingham other food very good
S.
I haven't been to canada in so long so this was an extremely nostalgic experience and I loved every second of it.
H. K.
Nice enough staff, but so-so coffee and little, uncomfortable seating in an uninspiring atmosphere. Doesn't have the same vibe as the over the seas cousin somehow. Took a while for orders to be processed compared to other places on top of initial queuing, even for peak times.
E. A.
The drinks are always amazing. However when ordering on uber eats, the cup comes half full. I paid for a medium not a small for a reason.
S. F.
Rather nice! Not too pricey and overall a great place to eat
V. S.
November 2018: hopefully it'll be upto the same standards as the Canadian counterparts (although a Canuck mate of mine told me the standards have gone down slightly over there since it was bought out by an US company - but we'll see)...
April 2019: OK, went there now & a few thoughts:
1) if you're in for e.g. a wheelchair or have a pushchair, I wouldn't recommend it if it seems packed; there is a few seats downstairs & even though there is supposedly 84 seats upstairs, but no lift and no real space to manoeuvre around...
2) maybe it was just me, but the food & drinks (iced coffee) just didn't seem as good as I had it in Canada...
d.
A hidden gem. Good space to grab good food and get work /studies done. Easily a place for a quick business lunch or meeting. Beautiful space and seating. To get to it parking has to be either in Grand central or Bullring car parks.
R. C.
If you know/like the original Tim's then you'll find that this is just as good as the Canadian original. The menu is very similar and would recommend the French vanilla coffee. This is the real deal.
C. R.
Donuts just like Canada but the double double was stronger had to ask for extra cream. Great location, interior clean and staff friendly. Will definitely come back 😊.
P. K.
Good food at reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere upstairs to relax in whilst eating or takeaway if required.
S. M.
Brilliant donuts and coffee

Food is good, clean place, only annoying thing is the combined toilets, they're not always in the best state (pee on the seats for example, and usually the back, which I'm sure ladies dont do!). Still return for the great breakfasts and doughnuts though!

all I can say is bye McDonalds helloo Tim hortons 10/10

Liked the doughnuts , but no so much the coffee. The waiting line was a bit confusing.

Really nice here, popped in one morning with my partner offers a lot of similar things to mcdonalds e.g breakfast wrap, egg muffins etc. Although we didnt get one, the milkshakes we saw people getting looked unbelievably delicious.

Always a good Cup of Tea and Sausage Muffin from Tim Hortons. since I'm not a coffee drinker the tea comes made up with milk and sugar so great if you're on the go.

Their French Vanilla coffee tastes like silk, enveloping your throat like a soothing lozenge. Mild notes of vanilla are balanced with sufficient sweetness to bring out the flavour, but not overpower your tastebuds. A stunning combo, easily able to beat anything offered by similar chains around.
For dessert, try the Apple Fritta. It is slightly on the sweet side, but it's a dessert! It's a pastry swirled in cinnamon spices, and iced with a thin dash of icing. The softness of the pastry, along with the ooze of the cinnamon is sure to tantalise your tastebuds. So go, give it a shot! At £1.49, you haven't much to lose!
Thanks for reading.

Their donuts are obviously amazing! When we joined the que, we were outside the store (long que!) but within 4 mins we were served and received our order! Amazingly quick service! Good job!

Great food for a good price. It is a very visually appealing store with plenty of seating. The doughnuts are presented very impressively and every one listed on the website was available.

Very good nice wraps. Good comfortable and stylish seating up stairs. Very busy at weekend lunch time. One of the best things to come out of Canada.

What a great place, great food and great staff.

Went in to order a single doughnut, was given a receipt with a number and asked to wait in the collection queue for a single doughnut, when they were literally right next to the cashier, it makes no sense whatsoever. The cashiers should be allowed to serve single items such as doughnuts to avoid customers having to queue for a long time for something that could have taken a second.

Brilliant choice of doughnuts and timbits also choices for sandwiches and drinks. Friendly staff.

Food was slow to arrive and Stone cold. Restaurant was freezing.. put it down to a bad day at the office but would give it a second chance

Very expensive, coffee, doughnut and panini over £7. Very busy but staff seemed to be coping. First time in the store, food of good quality and would go again infrequently due to the costs.

The atmosphere is just gold, the timbits are great but the icing on top feels too much for me personally. It would be amazing if they were a bit quicker with cleaning the tables

Queue went down fast and service was good. Slight issue is that I was told I can only have a plain or special box, not both mixed. So I couldn't get 4 honey crullers and 2 with chocolate. Seems odd to me.

I love tim hortons. Its different here, you need a pass code for washrooms and the coffee is more expensive. No bagels but i guess UK options are limited

Nice atmosphere upstairs main counter no wear to stand and wait for order. Food was ready before 5min wait for drinks food order was wrong no egg on one and red sauce instead of brown on the other could not be arsed to que to correct order. loads off staff on just not very organized good value if you get wot you pay for I think wait a few weeks to try again maybe.

Loved breakfast menu, so many options, tried chai latte and it was so good.

Friendly helpful staff would recommend. Comfortable chairs upstairs

Cheap brekky on ATM £1.99 for any breakfast and a drink. Grilled cheese was a disappointment though, literally some white bread not even toasted with melted cheese on top

I really like the products, but the staff are not great. I've been twice and they've messed up both orders, mainly because they are more interested in fooling around with the rest of the staff than paying attention to what a customer is asking for. Easily fixed with a bit of attention.

Cold food after long queue for order screens only half of them working. Not value for money.

Nice place to get something to eat and reasonably priced

My new favourite place! The staff are great and friendly and the seating upstairs is amazing and comfortable. Definitely recommend a visit and the coffee is great to.

I LOVE TIM HORTONS!!! I have been to Canada a few times and I miss it so much when i get back to the UK. Knowing I can get my Canadian coffee and donut fix here in the UK helps my post Canada blues! ❤🇨🇦

Food was great and I really enjoyed the hot chocolate. But the staff got our orders wrong and didn't even apologise for it :/

Best coffee I've had in a long time and reasonably price

This is a really nice place to chill out. The donuts are so good. Similar to starbuck and the other cafes but I feel more comfy here.

Top place to have something to eat and drink, staff were happy and courteous, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Only drawback, the recycling needed emptying, the trays were stacking up when we left.

My favorite coffee tim hortons

Typical coffee house with good seating areas. Clean. However the downside was no food appropriate for Coeliacs or others with allergies.

Cheap and quick good value will come back hope to find a comfort-"table" upstairs.
