Reviews of 1805 Restaurant

The best Chinese restaurant me and my wife have ever been to (and we go to alot).
Food quality was exceptional, Michelin star quality for taste and flavour, very nice presentation too.
Accommodated two of us and our 8 month old baby, even bought a child seat out for us.
I had the handmade vegetable spring rolls for starter and seafood in truffle sauce for main.
Good selection of drinks to go with the meal. The prices are quite high but expected as they match the quality of food.

The Dim sum and cocktails we ordered were excellent. Had the Mongolian lamb for main which was okay but not mind blowing considering how much you get for the price. Same to be said for the noodles. Was literally just a bowl of noodles. Considering the price we would have expected something far more interesting/different.
Overall, it's a nice restaurant with a lovely atmosphere, but not likely to return as it is slightly overpriced and not really offering anything that different.

Restaurant is okay. Visually pleasant the food is good, we had the set menu which set us back £50 a head and drinks were so overpriced one cider cost £6.50.
I had read read reviews and considered that price may be an issue going in, however we thought it can't be that bad, riiight?
Our total bill came to £115 for what I genuinely think is worth £80 tops.
Everything was good I was just expecting at least one stand out dish from the set menu. Nothing in particular stood out. I've spent less at sticks and sushi (with cocktails!) and have felt a lot more satisfied with the quality of food.

Funky modern young well decorated lively Chinese restaurant
Great food quality
It leans towards the low salt low MSG low oil style or say the Hong Kong style
Great variety of food choice and dim sum choice
Service is very reasonable
Price is on the high side relative to most traditional Chinese dim sum restaurants
Can be a high as double
Anyway that’s the value to have dim sum in a funky seaside town

The best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to. I would highly recommend to everyone.
Delicious food !!
Especially the dumplings , duck , beef and prawns with chestnut, chicken stay was amazing.
Thank you for the great service. I’ll be back tomorrow 😊

The best Chinese food I've had in Bournemouth. An elegant restaurant, modern plates etc with a limited but great menu
The lunch menu is excellent value. Friendly attentive staff. .

We tried to get a table on Saturday but couldn’t, very busy restaurant so we booked it for East Monday. Food was beautifully presented and all very tasty, doesn’t like some other Chinese restaurant served very greasy dishes. They also have some premium range which we didn’t see in our local Chinese place, definitely worth to try for a date night or special occasion. We just have a simple quick meal but still very enjoyable.

The spiciest mild chicken curry ever.
Seriously tasty food but super spicy.
Very stylish place, friendly service.
The noise level unusually high.
Fairly pricie place. I was looking forward to the dim sum but some of the items I was looking forward to most based on what I found on the Internet, weren't actually on the menu so I changed my choice.

If you're looking for something a little more special than the standard Chinese restaurant then this is the place. The food is fresh and to a high standard. The menu has lost of the favourites along with some specialties too. Good service and lovely lovely decor/ambience.

We visited on a busy Saturday without a booking. Front desk lady is very friendly and accommodate us a table locate on the quiet side of the restaurant. We enjoy every dish ordered, food are full of flavor. I love their cocktail, lychee martini. Will definitely visit again when we are at Bournemouth next time
