Had the most awesome lunch 🥰😍 there yesterday with a friend. Outstanding in every conceivable way, the food, the service, the decor, even the toilet facilities get 5* 🤣🤣
One of THE BEST RESTAURANTS I’ve visited since before the pandemic started. I’ll definitely be returning again very soon. ❤️

Where do we start! Elliott was amazing from the start to the end. Extremely professional, friendly and had great recommendations!! The food was insane. Gorgeous with good balanced flavours. Amazing ambience. Would 100% recommend. Wish they did a tasting menu

Had the breakfast here a few times as part of the hotel stay and they were well prepared, made to order, staff were attentive. Food was tasty and the bread/toast was great (should have asked what they served). I would recommend.

Average dining experience for a fine dining restaurant. I visited Arbor restaurant along with other 6 work colleagues on a Tuesday evening when the restaurant was not busy at all. As soon as we stepped in, we were greeted by the lovely staff who have been amazing throughout the night. They provided a friendly customer service without the pretentious attitude you sometimes encounter in a fine dining establishment, contributing to a relaxed atmosphere.
Arbor wants to be seen as environmentally friendly and sustainable restaurant, careful about their food miles (as they mention on their website), however, I was surprised to see that their dishes had mackerel caught on the Cornish coast (which is not so close to Bournemouth).
In terms of the actual food, we all had different experiences. The char siu pork belly nibble I ordered was definitely not what I was expecting. I have eaten and cooked pork in a char siu style which usually involves a marinade made of red fermented tofu, Shaoxing wine and five spice powder among others. When cooked, this becomes very flavourful and slightly sticky on the outside, imagine a Cantonese version of the BBQ sauce. The pork belly was far from it, lacking the depth and balance of flavour associated with char siu dishes.
My colleague’s asparagus risotto with poached duck egg was abysmal. The risotto was bland and watery. The duck egg was undercooked with some of the egg white still raw and the asparagus was bitter. She couldn’t eat it.
Another colleague had the steamed bao buns with crispy oyster mushrooms which were a bit dry with all the sauce being on the outside of the buns rather than on the inside.
Most dishes were nice but not amazing for what we were expecting from a fine dining restaurant like Arbor. There’s definitely room for improvement if they wish to live up to their website presentation.

Everything is amazing, staff, the place, and the food. I had an unforgivable tomato chutney with baked camambere as a starter, and the cheesecake was f¥&@# delicious . The prices are very fair.

Now we know why the Arbor had such great reviews. Every dish we ordered was outstanding! Their soup was lovely and the duck leg was delicious. Do yourself a favor and order the croquettes - so creamy and crispy. The lemon and blueberry dessert was my favorite part, and I wish we could have more. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful dinner for our anniversary!

The food are fantastic! If you prefer a hearty meal, go for the beef cheek. Go for the fish of the day if you want something lighter. Also try the English sparkling wine and white wine if your food pairing allows. They are great and it's good to see the restaurant supporting local suppliers.
It's a bit more expensive than your usual dinner but you get what you pay for and it's worth it.

We have been coming to Bournemouth for years but this is definitely the best fine dining food experience that we have enjoyed. The staff were attentive as well as professional from arrival at the bar to being seated and looked after during dining and then we get to the food………. A masterpiece in presentation from start to finish but the taste is better than the visual. Cleverly put together and cooked to perfection, it was a visual delight and now that we have found this diamond of a restaurant we will certainly be back. Thank you for a great experience.

Generally a nice restaurant with very attentive staff. I felt the tables are a little bit close to each other. The food looked stunning. The best dish we had were probably the scallops with bacon as a starter. I was a bit disappointed by the main course which may have been Indian inspired but lacked exciting flavouring.

Loved it. Made to feel welcome by the front of house restaurant staff from the minute we arrived. Very professional experienced and happy. We had the appetizers, then starters, main course and desserts and all were beautifully presented and tasty. Would definitely go back.
