Reviews of Aruba
A. W.
Really fun atmosphere, gorgeous views and great food! I highly recommend the gin and lime cheese cake and their jerk chicken and fried chicken. The chicken was soo moist and juicy, not dry at all! The fried chicken is a huge portion so beware (like that's a bad thing!?!? 😂). If you get the chance to set outside to watch the sun set, you won't regret it! Thanks Aruba for a lovely night!
J. L.
It is a great location, overlooking the beach with a full view of the coast from East to West. Amazing cocktail menu and massive bar with plenty of tables and seating in the restaurant. Well balanced menu with food selection that compliments the quality of the place. They have interesting events and place becomes a club too.
M. S.
Great place to go. Good atmosphere, the staff are really attentive and friendly and the food was amazing. Tasted fresh and arrived after a very reasonable short wait.
The hoi sin duck pizza is a definite winner.
Definitely coming back for a celebration as the vip packages look great.
D. D.
Thoroughly enjoyed the view of the promenade from the terrace table that we booked. The jerk chicken and mussels were on point which is why I'm very happy with this place and will go back again for sure.
D. K.
Lovely place on the beach front. Overlooking the Bournemouth pier. Absolutely stunning views.
Need more veggie choices. But I'm sure it'll be incredible in the evening for drinks etc. Worth a visit.
B.
Popped in here on my 40th birthday and it was so lively it was great, October fest was on and it was jumping, great bar right on the sea front with plenty of cocktails and great atmosphere.
E. G.
Bit noisy if you’re an old git like me, ridiculously large portions, shouldn’t have bothered with the starters, for some reason they put salt on everything, still well organised operation.
A. W.
Great spot on the beach overlooking the pier, sat on an October evening with the heat lamps watching and listening to the waves splash in. Definitely coming back in the summer.
S. m.
First weekend in Feb 22, Sunday was relatively quiet, with nice live music (acústical guitar). Reasonable price for the area and nice view however, the service wasn't great. We order starter, mains, drinks altogether, but by the time we ate our starters we still didn't have any drink! It is just basic. Food was OK overall. Fish and cheap was liked, the roast not so much. Vegan burger not so much. A good experience but the service can improve
R. W.
Really enjoyed it, very chilled and great view of the Bournemouth seafront.
A. N.
Perfect venue for a sunny afternoon sunset drink or two. Good music. Toilets could do with some work but dont all bars need to invest in that!
M. H.
If you are looking for a restaurant where your mouth will watering than this is it. You pay a little bit more in this restaurant, but the quality is so high that it worth for it. Also, they still running Help Out Eat Out up to £10 per person until the end of the September. So if you haven't been here, than this is your chance. Help out Eat out is only from Monday to Wednesday. I would like to add, that staff is very friendly and if you get a table on balcony . You will have a nice view on the beach. Hopefully, this review will help other people who can't decide which restaurant will choose. They also have a kids menu too. I can recomend to you Southern fried chicken and Salmon. Both is on the grill.
S. B.
Visited a few times recently, excellent service.
Thoroughly enjoyed. Not the cheapest venue but location, location, location !!!!
K. P.
Best place to go eat for the view. Cocktails are great, recommend the Dirty Monkey. Staff are really friendly but can be busy so please be patient. Track and Trace, Temperature check, one way system, table or online orders all in place.
L. G.
I love this place.
He has a great atmosphere and great music.
Yes the service is slow but hey it's a cocktail bar you can't pour them as quickly as a glass of wine
Anyone whining about the speed of service in here should go and find themselves a pub!
L. R.
The food was delicious. I had one of the specials, sea bass with new potatoes and mussels sauce (and actual mussels too£ and OMG, it blew my mind!
M. W.
Amazing place, bit of a disagreement as on booking it stated we must eat a main meal.
On picking some food was told the kitchen was closed!!
Manager was amazing re-opened the kitchen and cooked us the most amazing food.
Great manager, great staff & great night under covid restrictions.
Kind regards,
Mike
J. C.
Good place for couple drinks with friends, casual party to meat svobody NEW, or just have Fun.
Incredibul drinks for resonable prices, nice place with amazing wiev to Bournemouth Pier sea from huge terase.
J. S.
A really nicely decorated venue with great views of the beach. The manager is really nice and funny. Some of the staff are lovely too, but I have sometimes found other members of staff to be a little abrasive. The food and drinks are good, but the most unfortunate thing about this place for me is that it seems to attract a certain kind of person. A fair amount of the people who frequent here can be quite snobby chav types, which can definitely affect the atmosphere.
A. S.
We had a lovely customer experience here, with efficient and very friendly front of house and waiting staff. While I enjoyed my hamburger the pizza was fairly dry and overcooked. Prices very decent for a dinner with a view. Overall vibe was more nightclubby than restaurant and the music pretty loud so not for everyone.
A. t. H.
Very pleasant bar with spectacular panoramic views covering 180° of the Bournemouth seafront looking right over the pier. Vaulted ceilings, vast bar area and varied menu. Havent eaten here, and only visited on daytime so cant rate the nightlife. Great place to watch a stormy seas from a warm viewpoint with a hot chocolate.
A. B.
One of the views in Bournemouth, my favourite actually, right on the Pier. Tropical theme decor works perfectly with that, various entertainment throughout the week, serves food, cocktails, hot and cold drinks. Just a really good vibe in there. And... Did I mention the view?!! 😁
C. H.
A few drinks in a favourite bar. Prices were reasonable, selection was good , staff were quick in serving. Lovely location
C. M.
Lovely venue, unfortunately I have been put off coming back due to some of the bar staff being drunk and very rude! But a nice place in general
A. L.
Great place for drinks with an amazing balcony view of the beach lovely warm setting ambient chilled out like...
DJ on site was outstanding! Spun some really cool eclectic tunes!
Staff were friendly and helpful and let me say the cocktails are well worth the coin! they were to die for!
k.
Food was okay but extremely overpriced £12 for a margarita pizza and £3 for a soft drink, also got given a dirty plate which was change quickly, good location very busy at night
L. A.
Great place to eat both in the daytime and eve. Very busy and very lively with an excellent view of the sea. Good food, good drinks and cocktails menu. Pets welcomed as saw many. In the evening it's transformed into a restaurant/ bar with dancing In one corner. Reasonably priced and good service overall.
Would recommend as it's one of these places in an excellent location, with good food and energy all rolled into one. Child friendly too
s. m.
Visited with friends on a busy Friday night, it took about 20 minutes to get served when we arrived, but upon queueing for the second round of drinks for around half an hour eventually gave up and went outside to watch the fireworks. Unfortunately there was not enough bar staff to cope with the amount of customers. Some customers were ordering as many drinks at the bar as possible and consuming them whilst the next lot were being poured, which slowed down the bar staff tremendously. Good location, very entertaining night with singers and dancers alike.
C. F.
This is the place to go when you're in Bournemouth. We always book it when we visit and the food is always great! If you want they also have some fancy shows going on every week (over 18s only). The space is also massive and comfortable.
G. C.
It's ok. The place has an interesting decoration and the views over the ocean are amazing. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The only issue was the food. My hamburger buns were very dry. I believe the bun was expired. Ao dry and hard.
L. K. H.
Nice place at the start of the pier, great views across Bournemouth beach. Very good selection of drinks, music is on the louder side more of a bar atmosphere. We went for lunch, it was fairly busy with other families in a specific section for diners. Service was OK, food timings are not ideal with children, one child gets their food while the other is left waiting for another 10 mins, makes a managing them when hungry a challenge. Maybe order the children's food with the drinks while adults decide on their food? As for the food itself, the pizza was decent and very big portion for children, looked very good, chicken and chips was pretty standard pub fair. Adults had starter of crispy calamari, very fishy, not particularly pleasant and expensive for a small starter. Southern style chicken, was good decent portion, pile of chips, slaw, sweetcorn cob was way too spicy and salty. Moules marinare, I've never had so much grit in the mussles, made it a challenge to eat and not enjoyable, the sauce was tasty. Nice portion of chips. But a big negative, all the meals that had chips way way too much salt, especially the children's food, makes the golden arches taste bland. Over powered everything.
D. F.
Amazing food, great service and a lively atmosphere, all over looking awesome views of Bournemouth beach and pier on which Aruba is situated. Higher than average price but at the same time good value for your money as the food is incredible! Just look at that massive pot of muscles! Yum!
M. K.
We came here on Saturday evening for a stag party. We booked a booth and the Castaway package. Great package and the staff were very organised. What an amazing venue, top class vibe & atmosphere, great live DJ. A real mix of people & ages too which was nice. There was a group of 8 of us between 30 - 65, and we didn't feel out of place. If you are looking for a great evening Venue this is the place to come.
L. C.
Can't fault the food! Great portion sizes! And taste amazing!
S. W.
Excellent venue, food was superb, vibe for a Monday evening was great, love to try it on a Friday or Saturday night. Cocktail maker was great and made me a cocktail that wasn't on the menu and it was first class - nice one thanks!
C. D.
Bombay sapphire gin and tonic while watching the world go by in this lovely friendly bar. Great helpful service.
C. M.
We went for breakfast and the portion sizes were good. Asked about the lift back down to street level as we had the pushchair with us to be told it wasn't working. The staff were helpful and friendly.
B. S.
Had Breakfast here with Family on Sunday morning. Had a lovely vegetarian breakfast. Staff were really friendly and polite. Service was great. Was lovely sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach. It cost us £32 for 3 breakfast's pot of tea and 2 coffee's.
L. R.
Staff was very friendly and helpful which is always a bonus anywhere you go hence 4 stars but but because I was so hungry I didn’t want to make a fuss but overall the food was well presented but I found that the food had no flavour and was dry and I found everything a little overpriced.
S. H.
Lovely place to look out over the water, staff really helpful, food ok, but I think I must be getting old, this place is definitely for the younger ones. Loud music 🎶
H. W.
My favourite place to visit when in Bournemouth no matter what the weather. Friendly staff, gorgeous view of the pier, nice drinks and delicious food
T. I. (. I.
This on first impression isn’t our type of place but I was wrong we had great food and cold beer. Cracking lovely staff, We will definitely be going back here
T.
Five stars for Location & Serving London Pride in Bottles.... Been here before in the summer, but place looking a bit tired on a grey January visit.
Only two stars for the staff, got rejected from a near empty restaurant area @ 2pm as only ordered a snack... So ended up clearing a table in the bar area to enjoy the 180' view from the Needles on the Isle of Wight, to Old Harries Rocks. Sweat potato fries went down well with the London Pride..
R. B.
Nice relaxing bar with decent drinks and food. The outside seating overlooking the beach and sea was wonderful. Very relaxing and customer service is great! Would definitely recommend if you're visiting Bournemouth.
T. P.
Disappointing food, (we) had the chicken salad, Salmon, etc. and it was rather bland.
That said, staff were friendly and efficient and views can’t be denied as great! Smoothies too were excellent, shame that the food was expensive and not great hence the 3stars
J. C.
Visited Sunday 5th July.
Before you enter you have to give your personal details and temperature taken.
You can only have a drink if you order food.
A 1.5 hour max stay.
A. N.
Dining with a view. Great service, great food, great views.
Aruba did not disappoint and what a great place to enjoy sunset cocktails.
Definitely be returning on our next trip to Bournemouth.
M. M.
Booked 10pm until 2am but they closed at 1am. As I bought champagne at 12.30am I had to argue with them to let us take it with us.
V. B.
Great place for a baileys chocolate on a cold Sunday afternoon. Fantastic view of the sea too.
A. W.
Great cocktails and sea view but very average vegan pizza and little atmoshphere (on a quiet Tuesday evening)
G. G.
Great cuisine. The food was great. The octopus was splendid. I got too much food which included calamari, chicken wrap, hummus and octopus.
T. D.
Tasty food, good live music, nice location on the seafront. Waldorf salad with chicken was very nice
ʙ. ᴄ.
A great place to grab a drink, food and chill out. Whether it be in the day or in the evening. Great spot to watch the sunset overlooking Bournemouth pier but the terraced balcony does get busy in the summer so good luck getting a table! Staff are pleasant too!
E. B.
Great night. food drinks and service were excellent .
Very much a young adult venue but as over 50 s made very welcome
J. G.
Pretty cool place, lots of space for bar and dining during these times.
B. O.
Great bar/restaurant. Amazing food and fabulous cocktails
D. G.
Great venue.
Don't let the staircase access put you off.
It's a great place.
Nice atmosphere & easy going.
Very pleasant staff.
Had lunch here a few times.
Reasonable prices & generous food portions.
Can view the menu online.
Good for families.
Great value kids menu.
Highly recommended.
D. P.
For me the music was a bit loud but I'm a dinosaur , but the venue is great for the youngsters in the family group , food was excellent and presented well , by friendly staff. the cocktails went down great with all but me the designated driver as usual
E. B.
Great food options and brilliant cocktails! Lovely setting and a great view if you can get a seat near the window, even on a grey day. Cool atmosphere, will definitely go again next time I'm in Bournemouth.
J. L.
It was very long to have a drink, 15 min just for a pint. Staff look exhausted so not very able to smile
H. S.
Good bar with great views. Been there at several times over the past decade
O. T.
Visited Bournemouth for a few nights and this was by far our favourite bar we returned almost every night! View was incredible, drinks were some of the best I’ve had (frozen daiquiri) and the staff were so welcoming and lovely!
A. T.
Excellent diner! Staff well trained and fast service.
S. P.
A good place to visit in Bournemouth, Aruba dose great cocktails, the staff where helpful and friendly.
R. X.
Fair place, decent prices and service
Came for drinks, got them quickly. No complain apart from LOUD music inside.
R. W.
Had a very average breakfast items missing on 3 of the breakfast out of 7 drinks didn't turn up.. cracking view out to sea tho.
M. L.
Sat outside. Nice cocktails try the zombie. Excellent view of the sea and beaches. Staff very friendly
i. r.
Excellent location on a lively bar. Outside seating is excellent. Happy hour provides excellent value for money with cocktails. Good tunes and a great atmosphere. Worth a visit.
K. W.
Amazing view. One of the best places in Bournemouth when it comes to views.
M. R.
Great service from the staff breakfast tasty and value for money great views of the pier and sea.
R. H.
Came here on a stag do. They were kind enough to let 15 of us in on a Saturday night! Drinks were standard for a club. They had dancers etc would recommend
L. H.
Came at a busy time with no reservation, the hostess was a bit rude but we still managed to get a table so can’t really complain too much. Ordered a cocktail jug, sex in the jungle? something like that, but could barely taste the alcohol, tasted more like juice. Shame really because it’s a stunning place!
S. M.
Been here a few times. Great service and amazing food. 👏 👌 Highly recommended. The mussels and jerk chicken...wow...compliments to the chef 😋
M. C.
Great meal , great staff , great ambiance , good taste.
s. s.
Very good place. Beautiful space, good food and very friendly staff
L. S.
Came for a dinner and show last week and what i can say apart from it was fantastic! The hostess that showed me and my friends to our table was absolutely amazing, The staff, food and management are nothing but 5*! due to the pandemic its put a real strain on hospitality but the the team at Aruba have got it down to a T! cannot wait to come back again :)
R. P.
Good spot for a drink and catch up! Lovely balcony to sit on with beach and sea views!
R. B.
Service was really slow but the food was tasty so I guess good things come to those who wait - can't eat lunch in the best seats, I presume those are saved for drinks only. Picturesque views from the balcony
K. C.
Great location. Good vibe. Great music. Love it!
T.
Drinks, atmosphere and staff were amazing however the food quality is quite low and overpriced. The restrooms are also really disgusting
A.
Went for the Broadway show and Cabaret show and had an amazing time! The show and performers were amazing, food was delicious, and bar staff were very friendly and attentive. Cocktails were also really tasty!
A. S.
Great food, great service and great views. Would definitely recommend this place!
A. H.
Lovely space... DJ with great music. Pizza was a... Mazing.
J. P.
Had a lovely meal here on Friday evening with 7 of my mates. Friendly staff and good beer, however the food was really the highlight. Its not cheap but you definitely pay for the quality here. There was also a good atmosphere with a DJ playing and although social distancing rules apply and no dancing is allowed it still felt a bit more normal than many other bars do at the moment. Would definitely recommend
C. N.
I really enjoyed this place. First time last night. We had to sanitise our hands and have our temperature taken before being allowed to our table. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. I tried the Kermits funk cocktail and was hooked. Even though I dont smoke I still went out onto the balcony overlooking the pier and sea, gorgeous view. Will happily go back there.
C. T.
A cosy place in front of the beach on the first floor smart decorated. With a variety of food and cocktail option everybody will leave happy from this place.
You must try the chocolate fudge to share, even if you have nobody to share with!
It costs only 9 pounds and is huge!
C. F.
Great choices of cocktails, food was fab and killer views.
J. D. S.
Great vibe and atmosphere, superb service and the views are amazing but the paella is one of the worst I have ever eaten.
J. F.
Lovely bar had a amazing time food was out of this world plus cocktails were awesome would go back again plus I'm from london
S. V.
Much nicer during the day with nice people around. Completely the opposite in the evenings with young disrespectful bar staff and bully wannabe door staff
C. B.
Great location and view! Very overpriced for a shabby venue.
S. J.
Excellent evening and night out, great music. Good vibes. Enjoyed the food and drink
J. W.
It's a great view over the Bournemouth pier and beach, but the beer is overpriced and the food more so. That said worth a pint and a sit down to admire the view.
D. H.
Fantastic bar / club and what a location. Sat on balcony , drinking cocktails and looking out to sea and the beach. Incredible.
C. H.
A trendy and expensive tourist trap. Decent drinks selection but they are pricey, even for the area. If you can get a seat out in the balcony there are excellent views of the pier and seafront.
S. W.
Good food and drink but pricey
D. S. T.
Fantastic cocktails, staff polite and extremely welcoming, Seàn & JoJo say a massive thank you for making our stay in Bournemouth so special 💖
T. M.
Amazing food share quality very nice people and friendly staff my mate had his stag meal there today the food is just out of this world I recommend anybody to use them
C. B.
Plenty of atmosphere nice outside seating area too
M. W.
Cabaret night on a Thursday night out of this world. Blew me away
D. H.
A pleasant place to have something to eat and drink with good service.
d. s.
Great place, music and Djs are top. Nice crowd as well, highly recommended to be honest.
A. H.
Overpriced but I guess it's all about the location. Nice decor. Took 20 mins + to order and then be served a pint. However the cocktails are very enjoyable and are worth the wait
W. J.
We had a fab night food was lovely and the staff were very helpful. We had to use the service lift to get upstairs which the young lady kept apologising for but I think it was nice of them to go out of their way to accommodate use. The whole experience made my daughter's birthday fab. We will definitely be back. Amazing thank you.
e. m.
Had pesto gnocchi with fresh fish, which was good but a bit expensive. Toilettes smelled really bad
I. T.
Amazing spot and really fresh food.
Tottally recomend it.
r.
Lovely views and great drinks with great music and service 👌
K. S.
We had a lovely experience her, an older gentlemen working the restaurant the tables was so lovely, a credit to the company. Beautiful deserts. In beautiful scenery
J.
Great food, good selection of summer drinks, very nice view
T. L.
The setting of this place is amazing! It over looks the sea and you can sit outside watching the sun go down. The decor on the inside is cool and quirky and there is a buzz. It's a great place to start your evening with some drinks. However the food is really poor and so expensive. It doesn't match the beautiful setting. We had Pizzas that reminded me of the frozen Goodfellas deep pan pizzas you got fed in the 1990s. People want thin crispy Italian style pizzas in 2020! So easy to make... The Jerk chicken was bland and dry. Verdict come here for drinks not to eat.
B. P.
Lovely food 🍣🦪and a lovely panoramic 🍲🍲🍲👌
F. 1.
Very nice place but unfortunately very slow service. The drinks are very much over priced especially cocktails. The staff are very friendly but again not worth the price! Still deserved a 3 star for the decor as it is a beautiful place.
V. I.
Caring staff, quality services and good value for money. I had Italian job pizza
A. K.
Great service, great location and ambiance but ordinary food!
J. T.
We came to Bournemouth for a mini break and chose aruba for our one evening out , So glad we did, it was amazing! Food was beautiful ,there was 6 of us eating 3 adults and 3 children.
The service was brilliant we all got our food together hot and with little wait!
Steak was cooked perfectly melted in your mouth, honestly cant fault any of the food, and we all had somthing differnt. Our twins who are 10 enjoyed the activity books .
Staff was all lovely friendly and waited on us all evening, atmosphere was lively yet relaxing thankyou aruba!
See you soon 😁
S. B.
Spacious bar directly overlooking the beach. Fab cocktails too.
M. T.
The place is banging & rocking even Fred Flintstone would be proud of. Nicely set over the beach for a view to enjoy during the summer months 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
L. M. A. S.
Cabaret night on Thursday was sensational. Hannah-Marie almost made our table cry singing Nessa Dorma! Danielle was a great waitress also. Can't wait for burlesque night
m. h.
Went in but no tables available. Looked nice though
D. Y.
Great evening great food great music
P. G.
Rude old blokes giving barman a hard time..
A. L.
What an interesting place. Great food in a club setting. Very loud music, but not necessarily overly intrusive if you are prepared. Great mix of music.
A. O.
This is one of my most favorite places to be in the world. The drinks menu is amazing and each drink expertly created. The food is delicious and the staff are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable, we've often asked for a cocktail off menu and had no issues. The view to the sea brings me peace and I love nothing more than sitting on their balcony, sipping mojitos and staring out at the ocean. Also, the outside heaters can be controlled by the customer which is a lovely bonus.
k. i.
Great food, service and atmosphere
V. C.
This was first visit.and was very impressed
Staff were really attentive and helpful
Food was excellent. Clean plates all round.
Seating plan is really good
Lots of booths with comfortable seats.
And great views across the sea and pier.
Will definitely come back and highly recommend you try it
D. J. B. (.
With the right weather and great viewl Aruba a nice place to have a drink, cocktails were nice!! Never ordered any food so can not comment on the food.
J.
Nice food and great cocktails
W. C.
Great place, food made a few of our party sick unfortunately.
J. C.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff! Food and cocktails were really good too.
A. P.
Good things were that they're the first restaurant/bar that I've been to that is actually taking everyone's temperatures before entering and the food is amazing, worth the prices.
Bad things were that the tables were not clean, they're wooden so lots of food, dirt and grime gets into the grooves and looks like they have never been cleaned. The waiting staff were not good at all, our breakfast took so long to come out but so did our drinks, they brought them out together instead of giving you the drinks first and when they did bring them the milkshakes had spilt all down the sides so were very messy and sticky. When the food arrived they put the plates on the end of the table instead of in front of you, didn't really see the point in this to be honest.. and did not warn us how scalding hot the plates would be either so we ended up hurting ourselves trying to move them. The serving part wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't for the fact that they add a compulsory service charge of 10% onto the bill that is already expensive! Me and my friend were not served in a manner that deserved a compulsory 10% tip on the top.
k. S.
Wish it was a cafe because not everyone likes to drink while enjoying the view
L. W.
Brilliant venue and fantastic cocktail’s 🍹🍸🍹🍸🍹🍸
a.
Great location, amazing cocktails! A bit pricey when it comes to food though!
V. R.
Great fun you've obviously got to have a cocktail or two!!
D. H.
Very entertaining and lively super group preforming that particular Fri night
C. G.
Food was okay, slow service eveb though a lot of staff and no one there
L. S.
Great food with a quite a view! Very friendly staff and would definately recommend!
K. W.
Great location, fantastic views. The music is quite loud and the food is good but nothing special. Very busy and the staff are a little rushed. A good place for a quick bit to eat.
F. P.
Nice views of sea on the outside deck with heaters to protect you from the wind
D. K.
Lively bar was karaoke night & was lovely to see people enjoying themselves after all we've been through 😊
K. H.
This was a works lunchtime Christmas meal, with a large group of us to serve at the same time.
The group size caused them no problems at all.
Food was good and everyone seemed to enjoy their starters and mains.
My cheesecake was a bit bland but otherd did enjoy theirs.
Service was quick, friendly and efficient and we were well looked after and attended to.
I would use again.
P. L.
Very nice lunch, welcomed and seated by a friendly chap (probably duty manager). Waitress quick to be attentive, placed drinks order and we were told of the days special offer (chicken wings) which myself and my wife opted for. Everything was great, all staff very friendly and looked happy to be working there. I will be going back there on just the service alone. Good work Aruba!
M. B.
The location is perfect and the view from the outdoor decking area is brilliant as it looks over the beach. There are some interesting cocktails available and the food is decent.
Unfortunately the service was really slow even though it wasn't particularly busy. They really could have done with another person behind the bar.
M.
Great food !, amazing cocktail selection made with care and attention to detail !, best cocktail experience I've found in local area
I. B.
Great bar. Love to just sit out on the balcony and watch the world go by
J. S.
They have an exotic Parrot by the entrance!!! 🦜Reasonable prices, great atmosphere and very friendly staff who’s made sure we’ve had a great experience the minute we walked through the doors.
C. K.
After work drinks was fine nice view
S. F.
Great drinks and friendly staff
N. L.
The music is chilled and not too loud, the cocktails are nice. In the evening they have garlands and glow sticks for free, which create a fun atmosphere. Its in a good location above the amusements on the pier and in the daytime has great views. If you visit on a Friday night during the summer you may even be treated to front seats for the fireworks display.
M. P.
Such a beautiful venue and view over the beach and pier. Great cocktails and delicious food too!
D. M. (.
Great club, even better now they stay open late 👍🏼
C. F.
Great food. Generous portions & ingredients. Loved every dish. Burger, paella, jerk chicken, chicken wings, nachos. Party of 4 & we all enjoyed and tried each other's. Lovely, friendly waitress too. Will definitely go back!
P.
Great location on bournemouth pier with outdoor views. Nice ambience inside also with friendly staff.
M.
Kind staff, but they are making pizza from premaded dough. Place might be busy, but there are other ways to keep it fresh and tasty. Otherwise they are not presenting their quality. Nice view from terrace. Waiters and bartenders very easygoing.
A. M.
It's difficult to rate Aruba overall because I have mixed feelings about both sides of what they do. As a bar/club it's fantastic! I'd give them 5stars for this and their cocktails are delicious, quality, strong. There's always tons of choice and they update their cocktail menu regularly. It's ALWAYS a cracking night out. Never disappointed.
When it comes to their food and as a restaurent I wouldn't give them above 3stars I'm afraid. The food I've had there has been a little basic and ultimately it's just not their strong point.
B. H.
One of my fave bars in Bournemouth. Awesome beach views, nice cocktails, good food (slightly overpriced but its next to the beach so this can be forgiven) and a nice open space. However the waiting time here is the worst I've seen in my three years at university here. It doesn't look like it has changed since I first came here in 2016. Apart from that its a solid place for events or just a quick drink or bite to eat!
E. P.
Helpful staff, spacy, nice view
I. L.
If you are looking for a nice place to enjoy your cocktails, say no more, and the of the pier is just spectacular.
C. C.
Ideal venue, good food and lively atmosphere.
D. H.
Really good food. Nice interior themed on the Caribbean. Great views of the beach and sea. Nice balcony area to sit in the sun if you can get a seat. Tendency to be busy and noisy. Ideally suited for groups and families. Service can be a bit slow.
a. h. (.
Huge roast, potatoes a bit peppery, but really surprised how good it was
D. W.
Real good tasty food . Chicken wings really good. Great service and clean. Great price.

Came here with a large group of us. We were seated straight away and our drink orders taken very promptly. The vegan selection was very slim but there was something for me to have. The portions were absolutely huge so it was good value for money.
H. C.
Great location but it was extremely busy. My hen party went here to eat and found the service for drinks very slow but the food was received quickly. I had jerk chicken and found the chicken was nice and juicy but the flavour was all on the chicken skin not the meat. My hen party also had various food options with mixed reviews on the quality and flavour. The music was way too loud and didnt suit the theme of the restaurant. It was also very hot inside so unfortunately we were eager to leave as soon as we finished our meal.
L. P.
It was very enjoyable. I was surprised at there not being a lot of people there. Lovely pink gin with raspberries. Little bit pricey, but well worth celebrating my son over from Spain's birthday soon. Just a shame he has to go back priory to the event.
J. S.
Tasty cocktails, great 2-4-1 deals, stunning views, friendly and entertaining bar staff.
B. “. C.
Food was OK. Ordered Meat Feast pizza plus kids meals. Waited a long time for drinks order to arrive. Also waited a long time for mains (kids food arrived with our starter). Probably just a staff member shy of being a really nice place. Staff were very polite. Would recommend but perhaps not if you have children under 8 😁
E. B.
The view and the location are amazing! !
My mocktail was really good and the people nice and friendly but the food is disappointing.
I ordered a paella asking if was fresh and they told me that everything is fresh..unfortunately was overcooked and the fish hard.
I ordered crepes as dessert and the taste was good but they were cold so probably cooked in advance.
F.
Visited on a Tuesday evening. Very quiet and got served without delay 👍👍👍
J. B.
Great food and lovely wine - they also had a balloon artist coming round which was entertaining. Mussels and fried chicken were ordered and they were both absolutely amazing. Slightly more expensive than some other places but worth it.
H. L.
A great find. We needed somewhere to eat that was accessible for 3 elderly family members. Michael and his team went out of their way to get them up in the service lift, and made a mealtime into a very special memorable experience. The food was excellent. The views over the pier were unexpected. A hidden gem
R. M.
We are in love with this place. The cocktails are amazing, the staff are dedicated and grateful for our custom. The food is perfect, the location is perfect, even in the rain. Put me up a bed near the bar, there's nowhere else to go from here ☀️❤️😎
J. L.
Beach front all day breakfast, good view of the pier, lots of space despite being a peak season weekend. Breakfast was pretty good although more expensive and a smaller portion than your average greasy spoon so if you are after a hangover cure there are probably better stops in town. Staff were lovely
M. S.
Excellent atmosphere, good service and great music 🎶
D. V.
Absolutely fantastic. I booked my sisters hen night here and we had 15 ladies out for the evening, we had booked a package which included drinks, food and cocktail making. From start to finish the whole evening was perfect, the staff were so attentive and could not do enough for us. Food was plentiful and really tasty. The cocktail master class was superb, the "master" was incredible, we all took a shine to him. My sister had an amazing time and I am so grateful to Aruba for everything.
L. M.
Fantastic service from friendly staff. Food was gorgeous and well presented. Lovely sea views. Unexpected bonus of 50% of food. Definitely return
F. A.
Amazing food, amazing drinks, great atmosphere.

Great place!
I’ve been in Bournemouth for 2 days and that was definitely best restaurant during my small break in this city! Food was very tasty! I tried fish with new potatoes and that was absolutely great choice ! The service was a bit slow but we haven’t been in rush so we didn’t complain as that was pleasure to wait in such a lovely place with great view by the window!:)
P. S.
It is really nice here. Like going to the actual place.🍹
My only 2 negatives are...
1) when I asked for chicken wings the waiter got my order wrong; when I asked for Louisiana hot sauce I got BBQ instead. Maybe I wasn't clear or he didn't hear me, but that was slightly annoying.
2) the ceiling fan in one of the gents; it looks unstable - like it is going to fall off any second, while it's still spinning! Talk about a final destination moment! Seriously, why have they not looked into that?!
Nevertheless, this place retains 4 stars for its food and atmosphere. I recommend it as somewhere to go during the summer - or New Year's Eve!
🏖

Went for a night out during a trip to Bournemouth. At its peak there was a good atmosphere in there and the outside area looking out over the pier and the ocean is really cool, a true nightlife rarity. However by 10.30 it was completely dead and lifeless despite having a proper club atmosphere only a half our earlier. This was a Saturday night. Therefore.... Seems like a good place but don't plan on spending a whole (late) night there
L. W.
Ideal beach views whilst you enjoy cocktails. Great for booking parties whether for business or private. Food is really lovely and will cover enough bases for everyone to be happy. Music is varied enough for the start of a great night out. If you're visiting during August it's a great spot to watch the Bournemouth fireworks on a Friday. Plenty of space for you to fill and you can hire seating areas or simply reserve them on quieter evenings.
D. S.
You never expect food at a perfecting bar to be any good but we had a 40 person party and had a selection of dishes. The service was really good, even offering seconds because they had over calculated some sides. The drinks are pretty expensive but not unusually so for Bournemouth. Great atmosphere, cheerful and professional staff, very accommodating manager.
L. S.
Fantastic music and a great atmosphere. Drinks are a bit expensive, but that may just be due to where I’m from. Some of the staff could also do with being a bit friendlier. I felt some of them were looking down on me a bit. All in all though, I had a great night.
P. H.
Great location on the sea front pier. Wonderful decor but on this occasion did not rate the food as being great. Over cooked Nachos and my partner (who loves his mussels) did not eat all of his food. Was on a visit for sons resit exams and invited other family from Weymouth. Have been before for cocktails with my son, which I would come back for again. Young trendy bar.
I. “. G.
Busy Friday, great service, epic cocktails. Aruba bar is definitely our favourite to come to. We never had a meal here this time, but, as always, it was still a great time when we visited. Friendly vibe, balcony over the beach, good times!
A. B.
good service good food. only negative is when I went in and asked for a table they said only if I pre-booked. I then called them outside, booked a table over the phone for an hour later, i should have been offered a booking on reception. otherwise lovely good staff on service. small notes...had asked for a prawn only with noodles and got chicken instead, couldn't be bothered to change so ate the chicken one. also noticed a reserve seat on the balcony was empty and asked if I could have it....first waitress said no immediately and second one I asked said yes straight away ,-)))
h. h.
the venue and cocktails are fantastic! the music is equally great . i would give the food 7/10 unfortunately . needs some improvement . but overall , it is a great place to party in bournemouth
S. L.
Aruba was great Easter weekend when the weather was amazing in Bournemouth. Located right at the start of the pier, its upstairs location makes a great view of the beach. I reccomend booking a table on a sunny weekend as it was very busy. They stop serving food between what seemed like 4-6 approximately and tables by the window are hard to come by but we got lucky! The service was pretty good, good there was a mistake on our order which was resolved very quickly. We shared a pitcher of gin and tonic and it was very weak I couldn't really taste the alcohol so next time I'll just order a cocktail. I'd be interested to see how it transforms at night but overall a great place to eat by the beach in Bournemouth.
D. H.
Good atmosphere. Efficient staff.
C. S.
This is one of the best places to grab a bite to eat on the seafront if you want to relax and look over the water or beach
My Wife and I opted to share a pizza and a portion of chips. We ordered just before the kitchen opened so our food arrived quite swiftly. The guys serving were very polite, it seemed genuine which was a bonus.
The food was OK, quite a simple meal but that's all were after. Nice and quiet which was nice, we just sat back and relaxed.
K. N.
French fries are delicious. Hamburger is normal.
A. C.
👍🏾 Venue is all upstairs and the staff especially Micheal were more than helpful helping me in my wheel chair get in upstairs in the service lift. The service thereafter was excellent & they tended to all our needs, food was nice & there is a great cocktail menu! If you get a table looking out on the ocean too, that's a bonus!
D. M.
Always a great place to meet and enjoy a drink. Looking out over the Solent on a windy day with a hot chocolate warming your hands.....what could be better..😁. The stairs can be an issue for push chairs but the place and staff are relaxed and friendly. Car park nearby a drink a great beach to walk on.
K.
Lovely surroundings, really well decorated. We had coffee with a massive slab of delicious butterscotch cake for £3.95! Well worth a visit and would be even better in the summer!
A. S.
Went to Aruba for lunch with friends. While the view was amazing, and the venue would be perfect for afternoon cocktails, I was a little underwhelmed with the meal. The chicken in my burger was perfectly cooked, but the rest of the burger wasnt the same. A little disappointed in that, but would come back for sunset cocktails one day
S. 9.
Beautiful place to eat or drink, or both! Lovely setting right on the seafront. Drinking on the balcony watching the waves crash or eating a lovely meal and taking in the decorations, it's a great place to wine or dine all year around.
R. W.
I popped into here for a drink on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy and then decided to have some food which was very good and too much for me to eat and I enjoyed the experience overall there was a tables of young people who were very noisy(and I am not so young) and i think the young people is who they are trying to attract that is the only reason I knocked it a star 🌟
T. W.
Great place to go for late drinks!
A. L.
Nice location and nice cocktails, quite pricey and slow service are the only downfalls
E. C.
Nice food, lovely friendly staff.
J. E.
Lovely venue and food was good but there was some confusion due to a recent menu change and bar staff were not very helpful. Once we sat in the restaurant section though the waiting staff were much more polite and helpful and managed to get the wrong meals removed and ensure the correct food we had ordered was prepared and served quickly.
M. C.
Was one of my favourite places to go in the summer but then I have been back recently and the floor and chairs seem to be quite dirty and really sticky! It’s lovely to sit outside on the beach with a drink though
J. R.
Aruba is good but after 9pm unless your dancing there's not really anywhere nice to sit. All the booths are always booked and unless you want to sit outside in the freezing cold. However it's nice food, good service and amazing in summer for a cocktail
d. g.
Good food.. Nice atmosphere!
G. B. J.
I've only been here twice so far for a drink and both times were awesome. The place is nice and views are stunning. I wouldn't go here on a busy day and order food though i seen the staff running around like headless chickens both times.
B. S.
Great scenery, ambiance. Food is great, cocktails are amazing, friendly staff who could be more efficient? Especially when it comes to cleaning tables. Otherwise no complaints, my 'go to' place with friends.
S. “.
Excellent food! Unfortunately children's choices were small and service was very slow (took over an hour to get food) other wise I would give it 5 star!
D.
Aruba burger spot on everyone's meals were really good
P. D. (. S.
Stunning views, and a really chilled vibe in the afternoons. Decour is contemporary, but maintains a classical beach vibe. Lots of seating inside and on the terrace overlooking the pier, but enough space to move around when it does get busy, which it does in the evenings. Not the cheapest place in Bournemouth, but by no means the most expensive, and with the view, you probably wont care.
N. H.
Staying and watching a show close by so we needed somewhere for a decent meal, pref a burger and a pint. The couple food places we saw first were out of our price range so chances Aruba. Thursday eve so went for the pint and burger for £9.99. We agreed it was one of the best burger meals we've ever had. Very filling, must have been a half pounder, good portion of chips and beer. Great value and no need to look elsewhere if we're up this way again
C. C.
The view, band that was playing, staff and atmosphere were great.
The food was disappointing, overcooked fish and pizza that contained chilli didn't impress my daughter.
I find it hard to believe that a bar/restaurant on the sea front still uses plastic straws and they are put into your drink without asking if you want one!
G. J.
Cocktails are good, overpriced when not happy hour
M. S.
Visited early on a Tuesday evening, with the intention of meeting up with a 7th and final family member shortly, before going elsewhere for a meal.
The group ranged in age from 24 to 83.
All of the tables in the bar area were taken, but a member of staff noticed that one of our group was quite elderly, and kindly said it was fine for us to take a table in the dining area, even though we told them we were not dining.
While waiting for number 7 to arrive my sister attempted to take a group-selfie type photo, but could not fit us all in.
One of the waitressing staff came over, unasked, and offered to take the picture.
So, now we have 2 members of staff going the extra mile.
Yes, the bar service is a bit slow, but once I got served it was polite and with a friendly smile.
Parts of the place look a little run-down and worn around the edges, but I will take a clean but worn table over a new and dirty one.
In the end we stayed and had our meal there. Partly due to inertia, but also because the staff had been so nice earlier.
The food: to be honest, I was expecting mediocre to poor, given the look of the place.
A burger or a pizza is simple to do, but also very easy to do very badly, especially if all pre-prepared.
In reality it was very good. Don’t get me wrong, this is not fine dining, but it is good at what it is trying to be - burgers and pizza.
G. F.
Lovely bar. Food is fab and drinks are delicious. Only downside is it takes forever to get served; where you're at the bar or sitting down to eat. Drinks took longer than food to arrive the last time and were not too impressed.
D. M.
Its a lovely place near the beach❣️
R. S.
Pleasant, but limited beer and ale choice on draft
B. S.
Good service, lovely atmosphere and wonderful views. A great place to have a drink or a bite to eat. Plenty of good comfortable seating inside and out.
W. S.
Good food - had the sea bass which was well presented. Good views over the pier and sea. Some misleading ads though around the building listing discounts - these are only for students and loyalty members.
G. W.
Good bar with a view over the pier and beach. Gets very busy and staff dont really seem to pay intention as to who was at the bar first. Staff on the whole are great but quite a lot of punters who leaving because people who served out of order.
J. T.
Nice place, well themed. Felt clean and staff were friendly and helpful.
Some great views at the window tables, looking out over the beach and pier.
E. R. (.
Lovely restaurant with friendly staff, great ambiance during the day for get togethers and in the evening is a great place to have a bite to eat with your friends.
The food is lovely and the drinks are reasonably priced.
The only downside is the lack of a lift/disabled access.
C. H.
Smashing place great view and very tasty food
A.
Great environment, drinks and music. Close the the pier
[.
I would start paying rent to have my own delegated area on the balcony to sip their mango-lychee cooler overlooking the evening waves. Open plan, bright and cheerful, and love their 2-4-1 cocktail deal. Although I need to explore the menu a bit more - they all look and sound DEEELLLLIIISH.
R.
Amazing food, really enjoyed the Sweet Potato Curry. Very well organised and extremely happy, cheerful staff. Lovely experience.
C. B.
Best cocktails and the best staff!!! No where better in Bournemouth to get a drink on a sunny day :)
S. M.
We phoned in the morning to book and were told fully booked. We booked elsewhere but decided to go to Aruba for a drink at 5pm and asked, on off chance for a table, the staff went all out to find us one, which they did. We were sat down 2 minutes when we were told they now had a window seat, woukd we like it. The food was great but the staff were outstanding!
D. N.
This place is hit & miss. One night can be really good with all the right people there (people who just want to have fun & dance) & then other nights can be completely spoilt with trouble makers & terrible music. It's in a really great location (seconds from the beach) & has a beachey vibe to the place but I just think it could be a whole lot better than what it is. Also, the wait on getting served is outrageously long (as most bars are, I suppose) & can be seriously overcrowded (a lot more than it should/needs to be).
K. J.
My favourite bar in the town...Friendly staffs, nice food and cocktails. Nice place to be
E. L.
Such a nice place and great food
A. P.
Great cocktail bar on the pier. Has nice views over the coast. Good choice of cocktails, and great service. Busy on Friday and Saturday nights. Good for a quiet drink on other days.
F. M.
Nice place, really expensive
E. H.
The perfect beach bar. Visually pleasing and aesthetically cultural. A perfect blend of restaurant and bar, adorned with wood and hanging lights. As a film producer, it's the perfect scene to fall in love.
R. J. U.
Booked a lunch reservation for a special day. Served with quality food and great customer service! Keep up the good work! P.s. the congratulations baloons go a long way! Thank you once again! I will defo come back!

** pitta and houmous isn't vegan despite being listed as vegan**
Came here last weekend for a few drinks and some nibbles. The drinks and servers were great. The environment was very relaxed and the view was gorgeous. Our only issue was that one of the items on the menu listed as vegan (the pitta and houmous) contained fish oil. This only came to light when one of my friends said she could taste fish in the houmous. When we asked the waiter who asked the kitchen staff they confirmed there was fish in it. We weren't impressed by the lack of wanting to do anything about it, or showing no initiative to take proactive steps to take it off the menu and ensure that noone else would make the same mistake. When my friend went up to ask about the ingredients there was no appology offered for the mistake.
M. L.
Nice view,it was delicious breakfast with poached eggs on avocado and white bread. But girly staff is not happy and rude.the men staff is very polite.the tables need to be cleaned more,so ask the staff to clean them.
J. O.
Brilliantly organised in these strange times, the Covid measures are first rate and not at all intrusive, but never mind them, the food and service is just brilliant.. The staff are friendly and attentive and the view...
K. P.
Lovely place to enjoy drinks and food, great views and the staff are very accommodating. This place gets very busy so book in advance
B. S.
Overlooking the beach, a family friendly bar restaurant serving better quality food than you would expect. Friendly service. But why do they have to charge extra for tartare sauce? Really?
D. B.
Normally rather nice.. but this day they were so busy .. they forgot our food.. the tacos were really good... The paella was horrible, it was like rice with tomato sauce and seafood... Not nice, and my husband had a Thai green curry who h was not nice... We both left the main and paid and left to go and get a KFC .. luckily the starters of shared tacos were nice and that is why it's a 4 !!!
M. H.
Quite slow. Extremely overpriced. Alot of products missing. 3* purely because of great location
J. S.
Brilliant bar and restaurant! The food and drinks were amazing and the service was very quick. The view from the balcony was great over looking Bournemouth beach! Worth a visit!
V. F.
Nice view and drinks.
B. C.
Great bar on the sea front, great atmosphere and nice place for all. Getting served at the bar can take a while especially at busy periods but otherwise it's our go to place when we come to Bournemouth.
C. S. R.
Nice views of the beach from the outside terrace.
t. c.
Fun, especially if you can get an outside table.
S. D.
Amazing food and location - Shane it was raining but I will be back 😁
N. O.
Loved this place, first time here, great music, good vibes
E. G.
Not clean !
Though they do great drinks.
There is a section during the day and early evening for families to have food and a drink. And later evening and onwards they only allow 18+ and it gets very packed :)
m. b.
Always busy, too busy to have a peaceful meal or drink. Service is very slow during the busy times. Great views and lovely staff though
S. K.
Excellent breakfast overlooking the blue sea. Menu shows some creativity - not just the usual UK breakfast options. Service very friendly and efficient.
R. R.
Jerk chicken plus pina colada has to be the best meal I've had all year. Awesome views of the coast from the terrace. Favourite place to eat when I visit Bournemouth
A. M.
The location and choice of food and drink are fantastic. The downfall of Aruba is actually how busy it becomes during the evenings/ weekends. Getting served at the bar can be impossible with all the different types of handmade cocktails on offer.
D. E.
Nice spot in an amazing location. Kitted out to feel like you're in a more glamorous location than you actually are... which they've broadly succeeded at.
4 stars as the service can be a bit snooty, inadvertently giving the place a bit of a pretentious vibe.
J.
Aruba still has pretty good bar service but the vibe seems to have dropped.
What used to be a busy bar with great music is now a bit quiet and a little cringe.
Will still visit for the drinks on the pier and the great view but will avoid for food and for a party night out.
j. b.
Grait atmosphere, lovely view , frendly staff.
l. w.
Great location and really nice decor etc. but the food was awful. Southern fried chicken made me nauseous. Best stick to just drinks here.
p. b.
The staff were decent enough. I opted for one of the texican burger but given it was supposed to have 2 chillis for the spiceyness found it to be a little lacklustre. The burger also reminded me of the burgers you get from the fastfood stalls at motor race circuits.
C. C.
Fantastic place good selection of Beers and spirts and cocktails
R. T. R.
Great location and atmosphere. Outdoor sea view balcony. Indoor open space high ceiling. Only been once, but liked it. Music alright too.
M. R.
Beautiful panoramic sea views. Lovely Food and friendly staff.
One of my favourite places
T. B.
During the day Aruba is a lovely place. It's a bit quirky you can actually get to the bar unlike he evening and even better a slightly better chance of getting out on the balcony and taking in the awesome views. At night well if I'm honest it's just hard work! Music is just too loud you won't really be able to hold a conversation with yourself yet alone anyone your with. Maybe take a pen and paper with you to write notes to each other!! The service isnt the quickest at night it's really slow so be prepared for a wait at the bar.
M. T.
Aruba is a lovely restaurant and club at night right by the beach. the entrance usually is free. It's an excellent place for a first date or to meet up with friends.
The atmosphere is good. During the day it's more a family restaurant, however at night it become popular. Often in here you meet people from all over the country which came to visit Bournemouth.
You eat, drink or dance, the type of music played is more pop commercial.
A. P.
Lovely cocktails. Lively bar with great music and entertainment.
l.
Me and my partner came here for a drink and a dance. People were real friendly. The music was cheesy but we danced anyhow!
Nice views of the sea and beach.
A. D.
The food was delicious and the decor is beautiful, but I always find that the music is far too loud to be able to fully enjoy a meal with friends. Additionally, it is quite expensive.
K.
Went there for a cup of coffee and light lunch, coffee tasted amazing!! We also had soup of the day plus prawns and calamari and all of it was fresh and yummy!!! Would reccommend for great food and service!!!
M. W.
Visited here on one of our many nights away!! We both had a great time, lots to drink and fun. Great staff and a place I'd recommend when in Bournemouth.
c. s.
The food is lovely the location is perfect. Have a beautiful balcony overlooking the sea and the pier. Great evening bar with cocktails.
S.
Nice place have to be quick to get a seat as it gets bust
K. E.
Aruba has a nice atmosphere at night. The bar is quite busy and the staff take a while to serve you. I'd say the price isn't worth it at the restaurant but it's nicely decorated with sea views too
K. M.
Nice location, good music & drinks. Food could be better (not bad but with more love)
A. B.
Food was fantastic and portions a very good size, service was quick and friendly! Definitely a place to come back to
H. B.
Very slow to take drinks orders. Pretty expensive, 2 drinks £15+.
C. D.
Nice looking venue with a small terrace over the pier. But very slow and understaffed bar led to my longest bar wait of 2019 (at 4pm on a Tuesday....)
a. b.
Great location on the pier. Good food and drinks
P.
Lovely restaurant above Bournemouth pier. Food, service and atmosphere were all very good. We will definitely return when we are next in the area.
J. H.
Been here for the last 4 years when on holiday, the food is really good and different,on this occasion they were very busy and service was poor. The food was still good though.
L. G.
Our group was on a day trip to Bournemouth our coach company Barnetts in Watford supplying transport( I find them very reliable clean coaches and good drivers). We were looking for somewhere to have lunch and right opposite the pier are a few shops selling gifts and ice cream and tucked in one corner a a door and signs for the Aruba club and restaurant its up 3 flights of stairs but well worth the walk. The food is delicious hot and fresh. I had Sunday roast choice of beef or pork. I chose pork all the trimmings my friend had Mac and cheese( big portion) and fries and our 2 lady companions had fillet of Sea bass with saute poatoes and veg we had a jug of Pimms and a lemonade in total about £82 for 4 people. Jug of Pimms was £20 so cost of lunch £62 well worth it. Also bright happy staff both in welcome and table service.
B. M.
Excellent range of drinks and cocktails. Superb food and good portions. Love the view. A must for any visitor
J. L.
The music can be rather loud during the afternoon when people are trying to have conversations. Drinks are quite expensive. The views are good and seating ample.
C. P.
Place was very busy Saturday night. When the meals arrived somehow mine had been forgotten. Staff were VERY apologetic, even the manager came over to apologise & the cost of my meal was taken off the bill. Food was good.
K. J.
Good vibe, nice surroundings and a brilliant sea view
L. W.
the food is really nice and tasty. I've been there so many times because of seafood. furthermore, you should go there in the afternoon because the view of bournemouth pier is awesome.
i.
Decent cocktails and food, not much choice in food but good generally. Quality vibes. Atmosphere good.
L. C.
Lovely view and food but unfortunately very bad service. Long time waiting for food. At least 30 min for a glass of water and a coffee. And another 30 for the food. On a Sunday morning when the restaurant was not busy.
J. J.
This place is amazing
Unless you're eating
The staff are incredible...friendly, polite and helpful
But the food let's this place down in dramatic style....I ordered the fried chicken and my wife order the Margherita pizza..
My chicken was cripsy which was a massive plus..but had zero flavour, like it had been rushed or frozen I couldn't work it out....the dipping sauce saved it though which was delicious...the fries where bland also...so wack a bit of salt and pepper on and you're good to go.
My wife's pizza can only be described as beer mats with cheese on...
We felt massively let down as everything else is so incredible here.
Would come back but not to eat
(Spicy berry mojito is stunning)

We came for food. Service slow but food very fresh. Weird atmosphere for food. Very nice for drinks though

Was put off when told i can not
Have fish and chips if sitting outside. Complete nonsense, same place, same restaurant and different menu indoors and outdoors. Why would anybody sit watching the ocean when the restaurant only serves pizza or texmix starters? This is Uk, England Bournemouth.

Nice food, social distancing great. Music was repetitive. Quite pricey but your on the seafront so expected.

Awesome location great staff and decent food. Great for an early beach front breakfast.
But told and observed it gets really busy early in the day if the sun is out. Worth a visit

I was in Aruba first time 6th of May on Sunday, athmosphere was great and food was delicious. Maybe somebody know the name of Dj who play first this evening? He was gorgeous 🤗. Sure I will go there again soon!

Good food and good views. Could do with a bit of paint and clean up - showing its age! Have been going there on visits to Bournemouth for over 10 years.

Nice food, though a tad pricey, and nice place to hang out at. Staff kept bothering our group, asking if everything was OK. Don't keep doing that!
No disabled access. Are they not welcome?

Aruba really adds to the beach vibe! Very spacious, outdoor seating, friendly staff and of course delicious food. This will most likely be my go-to spot when I move to bournemouth, I can't wait to return.
