Popped in on my way in to town for a quick drink, first visit here for several months . Site has a great range of Lilley's cider on hand pull, much improved than my previous visit. I opted for a pint of Bee Sting which was reasonable priced, and 10 chicken wings. Food came out in a timely fashion, and tasted great. Must say Amy was amazing so genuinely friendly a real asset to the venue. I look forward to visiting again, when weather bit nicer so can sit in the garden.

One of the best places locally to go if you want to watch sports, whether that’s inside or out in the beer garden. In terms of food though, it’s always been average to awful, stick with sides only. (Still feeling sick after eating the Steak and Ale Pie).

This pub is very good. I have been here a few times now and it is such a good place to have some pub grub as the food is pretty good for the price you get it for and there is quite a bit of choice which is nice. The atmosphere is really good and is a great place to watch football if you are a fan. One of the better places to go when you are in Bournemouth

Visited this venue over the weekend as heard that it has new management, On arrival there was a great atmosphere was worried as we where a large group of males. How wrong could i have been, made feel very welcome other venues in Bournemouth could take note of this. Paige served us all very quickly, than manager Richard rearranged some tables so we could all sit together, and was very attentive giving us table service which made our lives easier, we only popped in for one end up staying most of the night. Food was great value, tasted amazing. Staff genuinely show interest in your experience. i look forward to my next visit

Went here for the first time in s couple of years. For a Monday evening it was pleasantly busy. I understand there has been a change of management and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious and hot. Would recommend this place and will be going back.

Great night out! Came as a hen party of 14, Richard found us a place so we could all sit together, the crew behind the bar were friendly and the drink options were plentiful! It's a sports bar, there are dart boards. We went on a Saturday night and there was a dj, music was fab and got everyone dancing! Great service, great atmosphere and great fun. Many thanks!

Great place for a beer or three. Page is always on point with the banter, and nothing is too much, in terms of heaters or refreshed ashtrays. Phil is always about the service. All under the watchful eye of Rich, who has high aspirations. Let’s not forget the kitchen maestros who often have their work cut out on the big sports days. All in all a great boozer for us hard working white collar punters. The garden is the best in town.

A pleasant pub with more the a nod to Weatherspoons. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Comfortable seating and very big and well equipped beer garden. There was a good range of beers and spirits with soom good offers on. Some things I wanted to try but didn't though I did see the Beer Tree, a 8 pint jug with 4 taps, also the que jumper, 2 pint glass. A good pub for a night out or a quiet drink.

Staff are wonderfully friendly and professional, which is really nice after being in lockdown for so long. They seem to put up with a lot of unreasonable people, so I'd recommend you make sure security guards are on shift, as it's not fair on them to deal with the rowdy people.

The St Austells Proper Job is kept better than I thought it would be. Food wasn't too bad. Getting served was painless which wasn't always the case in here. The sign outside proclaims the George Tapps as a traditional pub. No, it's a rebranded Litten Tree and always will be. Comes under the Stonegate umbrella.

Me and my partner came in here for some food as we're in Bournemouth for the weekend. The team are very friendly and welcoming which is always nice. The food didn't take too long to come out and didn't come out straight away so you could tell it wasn't just heated up which is what happens at alot of places. When the food did come out it was really tasty and hot. The prices aren't too expensive, the background music was a nice variety and not too loud as it's the day so that was nice. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who ventures into Bournemouth and we shall definitely be returning for a few cocktails 😍

I love this course but was disappointed when we played on the 15th June. There were area's on the fairways that were bare of grass making shots difficult. The greens were bumpy and not true. I hope that this is a result of Covid related events vis a vis staffing because it remains a beautiful location and a challenging course. I will return and hopefully the condition will have improved.

Well let me tell you, this little boozer was a pleasant surprise! A friend of mine described it as slightly grim, but also said they'd be able to knock us up some grub quick! Firstly when I ordered a drink and it was brought over to my table, the glass still had someones lipstick on it, so i returned this glass and got brought a new drink. Then they brough our main meals out first before our starters, then just put our main meals on the hotplate, so when our main meals come back out the veg was stone cold, the mash was only a tad warm and the gravy was all congealed from sitting under the hotplate for so long, those meals were returned and fresh ones prepared, but overall not a great experience to be honest.

Good food and was impressed there is multiple veggie options. 2 meals for £8.99 makes it a good place to go with people and theres also 10% student discount on everything (not alongside offers though). Cocktails become 2 for 1 after 5pm and end up costing around £2 each. Good selection of ales that change fairly regularly. I was surprised i ended up liking a sports pub as much but its become one of my favourite places in Bournemouth.

Staff are really friendly and it has my favourite table, with a wing backed Chesterfield, in the corner window - Take in the sights of the Christchurch Road in relative safety and comfort! (the only reason I give it four stars is because the location, whilst convenient for me, is proper grim).

Despite the common misconception, George Tapps is not a wetherspoons. Located on Old Christchurch Road near the kebab shops and clubs, the pub is nestled firmly in the nightlife end of Bournemouth. There isn't much more to be said - it's kept clean and the prices are what you expect from a pub in the south. They offer a 'pull your own pint' service where a party can order a big tub of lager to fill their pint glasses from. We seemed to get about 8-10 pints out of it, and we found it was more expensive than just going to the bar and ordering our pints individually. Still, it would save time with a smaller party, so I can't knock it for being a little bit of a novelty.
