Fantastic establishment. Clean, open and welcoming car park. On-site electric car charger (only the one) and plenty of space to park. The staff were phenomenal, welcoming and attentive. The open seafood and meat counter was beautiful and you can see the food, choose it and watch it taken into the kitchen to be prepared. Fantastic array of drinks on offer and food items on the menus. Some items were served table side and looked delicious. This is a gem waiting to be found. If you passing by, need a venue for a friends get together or even a birthday, I’d recommend this establishment. No negatives and we will 100% be back again. 🤘🏻

The food is visible to everyone on the counter. The vegetable, seafood and meat its all there. We saw them take the piece that would eventually be ours to eat too. Food was cooked great. For starters the calamari was great with the aoili dip its served with. I had the Venison steak as a main which was amazingly cooked. And the cheesecake, it was thick but not heavy and was just perfect. Quite possibly the most balanced cheesecake I've eaten Staff were all very friendly and inviting. Decor is also very classy. Would love to come back here eventually.

By the time the last person had the veg it was a dish of sloppy mess. Let the whole meal down. Expensive for a Sunday lunch.

Not your usual restaurant, you don't order at the table but at the counter where you hand pick what you want cooked for you; food seafood or meat and is very fresh, lots of great and tasty options. Very good choice of wines, and very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Excellent food and Wine, my wife and I visited today to celebrate my retirement from work and my 66th Birthday and my wife's 70th Birthday on 8th October. We had lunch and a glass of white wine. Excellent Service, a nice chat to the staff and fabulous food. Definitely recommend this for lunch or evening dinner.

It's Different - But Great This was a work event with quite a few people. This is a restaurant with a difference. To order you go to a counter where all the food is. You choose what you want from a fantastic selection of fresh fish or meat. Your meal is then brought to your table impeccably cooked. There is a bit of theatre here and it is not cheap. However, I really recommend this place. The staff are so friendly and the service matches. I am not local to this place but I do travel to South Wales for work so I am looking forward to visiting again. Well done folks. Great job!

Had heard mixed reviews about el prado some good and some bad so decided to give it a try for our wedding anniversary ...we found the food and drink choices were superb and was served by some lovely staff,the prices were very reasonable for a high end restaurant and we would definatley recommend trying it... looking forward to our next visit...

Food was excellent, however the standard of service was very lacklustre compared with the food and price. Took ages for server to bring bill and not very attentive lots of staff stood round doing nothing. I think the way food is ordered at the bar area also lowers the standards where ordering at the table would give it a much more personal touch. In addition the background music was far too loud and ruined the atmosphere for not only those with hearing difficulties. after asking numerous servers to turn it down they said they had but could not notice any difference. I won’t be in rush to come back here as I feel their are much better restaurants in the area that offer great food and service for the price.

Disappointed. had scallops to start that i didn't feel were cooked well and i had a piece of shell in my food. The main courses came with nothing but a bowl of chips for everyone to share, that tasted like chip shop chips. I had crawfish tail, which was just the tail and a small bit of salad on the plate(as all main courses were given) and felt for a £35 main course, it could have been done a lot better. Nobody really seemed to be "wow'd" by their food. if it wasn't my sister in laws birthday, i would have returned the scallops and complained we barely had enough chips between us all. the restaurant was very loud and tinny, so was hard to have a conversation around the table.

What a transformation!..... now back as a great restaurant with excellent food. The place is busy and has a really great atmosphere about it, the service is quick and efficient. If you want a fantastic evening out give this place a try.

Good food . However the way of ordering paying etc. seams a bit disorganised especially with covid around. So your taken to the table and drinks are ordered. You then go to a small section of the bar where various chalk boards display the food on offer. The layout is confusing and haphazard. Customers from other tables are all trying to see the menu's so you get people milling in a very small area. Surely menu's and orders could be taken at the table? There are on display at the order bar fresh ingredients and the salad bar. So in conclusion, Lovely food but poor setup.

Disappointed to see the £14:95 two course lunch menu has disappeared after many years (£5 for two courses many many years ago was always a popular choice 😊) One price now of £24 for two courses for lunch or dinner.. lovely food but too expensive for lunchtime!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Plenty of choice and the food is always freshly cooked. Excellent choice of fish. Waiting service is available however, you choose your food from the counter whereby it is then cooked for you and brought to your table. Staff are very attentive without being in your face and are also accommodating. General presentation is clean, cosy and spacious. Would highly recommend a visit.

Able to fit a table of 8 at late notice on a match day. There was a slight language barrier when I called to alter the time of my booking meaning we had to stay at the original time. All the table had starters with one guests being forgotten but quickly rectified. The mains were all cooked perfectly even the steaks. We did find it a little cramped on a round table as we had a nice bucket for the wine meaning we all had to struggle to get at the shared trays of chips and sides, this could be easily aided by a side table with the wine bucket on. All in all nice food and atmosphere will visit again.

Amazing selection of fresh fish and meat!! It is an expensive place, we live in London and it still was an impressive bill, but it was great! I would specifically recommend the monk fish. Also, as I understand booking is required particularly for groups, all tables were reserved on Saturday night.

Great Spanish restaurant. There's a bar to drink before and after the meal. The staff are really nice. The food is all laid out in its raw state in the cabinets and you go up and choose what you would like and the chef cooks it in the open kitchen at the back. Really good food made from fresh ingredients. A little pricey. Meal for two with a bottle of wine two starters one dessert was £112.

Meal was lovely and food was really good but not a family friendly place as no child's menu available and therefore in our case our 6 year old had only the option of at least a £15 adult menu option which would have been a total waste of food and money. The car park isn’t that big. However, they do cater for blue badge owners. Inside is clean very well presented. At the counter you can view wats on offer. The staff are extremely pleasant and professional. The food is of good standard cooked how you want it to be. Depending on what you order, it can be a bit pricey for people on low incomes. I know some things are for me anyway. I love going there (they do my bread and butter just how I like it…edible & cheap! lol).

It is a rustic Spanish reastaurnt that serves food from your eye to your plate. Service is good, lovely staff and the owner, Jesus, is a great Welsh Spaniard! Well worth a visit, pick your own prawns and enjoy some delicious Spanish wine.

Nice restaurant in Laleston. Excellent food in general, I have been disappointed a couple of times, but it hasn't stopped me going back. The main criticism is the prices keep going up, and the two course 'deal' isn't much of a deal anymore (£19, it was about £15 a couple of years ago).

The only problem we had was a shortage of staff. El Prado is where you select your food from a refrigerated display, the selected items are then sent to the kitchen. Only one person was serving you and taking your selected food to the kitchen. When you have (in our case) 10 people queuing, you need more then one person behind the counter. All that aside nice place, with good food.

Im torn about El Prado. I like the place, sort of. We used to visit frequently but then our daughter learned to run around. We went back the other and found the menu the same. The cheap menu(which isn't that great value anymore) was disappointing. If you haven't been before then visit El Prado. I won't be returning for a while

Das Essen war hervorragend, die Saucen haben sehr gut dazu gepasst, als auch die Optik auf dem Teller. Gehen dort gerne wieder hin. (Translated) Very courteous and friendly service. The restaurant was well attended and a good atmosphere and mood surrounded us. The food was excellent, the sauces went very well with it, as did the look on the plate. Would love to go there again.
