Really good fish and chips but pricey. Always a wait mind and staff aren't always the friendliest or welcoming

This is easily the best fish and chip shop about. Yes, it's on the pricey side but I'd always be happy to pay it because you know you're gonna get a food meal. Fish, chips and Irish curry is the best!

First class service and prompt delivery. Only downside was the fish,usually one fish is enough for my wife and myself,on this occasion. the fish was less than half normal size that I had to check that it was not a kids meal(even though it was v,tasty) for the price it was a huge let down

The fish is good. The chips very average. Is it so hard to make good chips these days I have no idea why. Service a bit cool especially when prices are very high. Online over £12.50 for fish & chips .... that's without the delivery charge!! Others are better.

Only giving a rating of 3 stars as the young girl behind the counter was working so hard to speed up the waiting times and was pleasant despite being absolutely backed up with orders. There is no coherent system in place for social distancing which just left many people standing outside in the cold for a long time. The food wasn't worth the money paid and the other staff member was really slow and didn't seem to care much about customer service. I'd like to emphasise again that the younger girl working was brilliant.

Ordered on the website tonight so easy we are really pleased. Ordered to collect at 7, got to shop at 8.55 our order was already excellent, pies were lovely plenty of chunks of meat, chips lovely too. will definitely do click and collect again

Really disappointed at our last visit a week ago. While the chips were lovely and freshly cooked, the fish was old with hard tail end and dried up old batter. It's certainly not the cheapest chippie to visit so it wasn't the caliber of quality we are paying for. Such a shame

Brilliant fish and chips, always cooked to perfection. I'm not sure where all the negative reviews have come from - this place has never let me down. The service provided and overall quality of the food far exceeds any other fish & chippie. Lastly, there is no grease! 5 stars.

I have found the food excellent. Possibly the reason why some find the service slow is because it is cooked to order. Many/most chip shops simply cook en masse. This leads to poor quality. Another thing I find almost unique, is they always skin the fish. Personally I dislike fish skin, others may obviously disagree. In fact, I have found the quality so good, I go out of my way if I want fish and chips. This means travelling around 30+ miles for the round trip.

We picked the right night for a stroll on the beach with some fish and chips. Tuesdays deal is 2 small fish and chips! Very nice and perfect amount.

Went here a few days ago, decent food, a tad expensive and the tail end piece of cod I had was very poor value for money considering the size, it was mostly batter. Will give it another shot, but would be tempted to travel elsewhere if this was a representative experience.

Lisa is like part of the furniture in finnegan’s, been coming here for 10 years, prices are fair for portion sizes, never had a bad meal here, Sharon and Cem also great! The only negative I can say, there is a particular member of staff who I find rude who has been there years but perhaps needs a wake up call. Minor change in her attitude will make a great experience even better.

Wonderful food but a bit pricey. Very good for an (occasional) treat. Good parking available (free) and the staff were very helpful too.

After a recent poor experience when my order was misplaced and I was left waiting for an age. I left and thought I would not return but having gone back the same manager was on shift and I must say that Lisa's customer service was brilliant she apologised for the previous mishap and was extremely helpful. I left as a happy customer 👍👍👍

Great fish and chips shop, lots of choice and they do some great deals during the week which are worth taking up. If you want a drink I would suggest the Tesco just next door.

I’ve always liked the food from here. It’s not cheap. It’s not always fast. But I can’t recall a bad meal from here. They work the staff hard though. Could probably do with another worker or two for busy times.
