Business lunch with colleagues, arrived at 12.30pm restaurant starting to get busy. Sat in the conservatory, chose the 2 course lunch deal menu. Staff very attentive took our drinks order immediately and returned to take our food order. Garlic mushrooms to start with sirloin steak peppercorn sauce with saute potatoes. We were checked on numerous times which was perfect as did request additional drinks. The meal was absolutely delicious and well worth the reasonable price tag. The menu is extensive and can't wait to return on an evening to try the tapas.

Absolutely beautiful two-course lunch from their set menu. We called in on the off-chance that they could fit us in for Saturday lunch and we just managed to get one of the last tables free; I'd definitely pre-book next time we visit as quite a few people were turned away after us. The waitress was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The set lunch was £13.95 for 2 courses and £14.95 for three courses. I started with garlic mushrooms, served with a salad garnish and a herby garlic sauce, which was delicious. My partner had meatballs in a tomato sauce, which were also beautifully cooked. We had a side order of French bread, which was very generous in portion. For the main course I had Fusilli in tomato sauce which was piping hot, freshly cooked and garnished with red and yellow peppers; it tasted amazing. My partner had the chef's special of the day, a huge chicken breast in cream sauce with asparagus and saute potatoes. He said it was genuinely the best meal he's had in ages. The desserts looked stunning, but we were too full after the two courses to sample any. We would definitely go back again; in fact, we can't wait to go back and try other dishes on the menu! All in all, it's probably one of the tastiest lunches we've had this year, served in a very clean and modern restaurant by lovely friendly staff. 10 out of 10!

I would definitely recommend this restaurant again! The staff have been polite, helpful and smiley. There is both an outdoor and indoor space, along with a bar for drinks. Music inside, and quiet time for the people who want to eat outside. Heater provided. Food delicious! Plenty of choices, same regarding drinks. Can't really find a reason I wouldn't go again!

I visited Poco Poco on 7th Sep 2022. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food is excellent value, delicious and the presentation is very good. The house wine is very drinkable and at a price that won't break the bank. It's definitely a restaurant I will be visiting again when I come back to Bridgend. Thank you.

Arrived at 5:50pm on Saturday (10/09)evening for 6:00pm booking, table of 5. It was fairly busy but definitely sufficient amount of staff. We had 5 waiters/waitresses come just to take our drinks order, within a minute of sitting not giving us any time to look at the drinks menu. Our food order was also taken rapidly. Whilst all the meals were fairly good it felt very rushed, very forced, in out ready for the next sitting, not a comfortable eating experience. It is not somewhere I'd go again

While we had a very pleasant evening with friends, our food at Poco Poco was not as we would have expected. We had only visited previously for some drinks and thought we would return for food. Three of us ordered the monkfish, which were rubbery and didn't have much flavour, and the steaks ordered by our table were average. We chose to try some deserts, but I wouldn't order them again. It was a bit disappointing.

Really probably 5star . This was our first visit , for one reason or another we've not been able to get a table. Today we got one. It's clear to see ehy it's so popular. Firstly the staff are very friendly and welcoming, always a good sign. Then the food, I like my food and it was as good as the service. We've added it to our list of favourites, let's hope we can get a table next time.

First meal out since restrictions lifted and it didn't dissapoint! Lamb Kebab was absolutely delicious and coffee and desserts were lovely. Outside seating has been done really well and could tell the menus had been wiped down prior to us sitting. Really enjoyed it.

We were a large group table was only available for 2 1/2hrs we all had 2 courses and drinks,waitresses gave us the dessert menu, no fault to them but a few would have liked to have dessert and another bottle of wine( but we realised) our time was up,we would of had to order and eat a dessert in 10mins and drink a bottle of wine..... we did ask if the table was needed and it was.just before we left and settled the bill we were offered another table which was lovely but to late,we missed out and the restaurant missed out all down to timing,if we had gone ahead and ordered at the (time the menus were placed on the table) what would of happend,all said and done everyone enjoyed their meal food was excellent but that did sour our evening just a tad.

My wife and I went there tonight. I had never heard of Poco Poco before but was willing to try something different. I had an idea of what I wanted before I arrived due to the readily available menus online. From the moment we walked in to when we left, all we experienced was first class service with amazing food at a really decent price. The Pastinacas Fritters (Deep fried parsnip crisps with a chilli tomato sauce) are out of this world. We will certainly be back again!

The food at Poco Poco is always outstanding, however the overall experience is let down by some (not all) very rude staff. We asked if they had a table for two as we had not booked and were told we could have one “as long as you’re gone by 2:45”. It’s not the fact we had to be gone but the way it was said, the same person also leaned over me, while I was eating, to clear extra cutlery away, a big no no in dining in general let alone when you’re paying for a service. The blonde lady who took our order was very pleasant and helpful however.

Hidden away off the main street in the heart of Bridgend, this was an amazing venue. Lovely modern conservatory opening onto a planted courtyard, gave this location a continental feel. Attentive staff and nice food at reasonable prices made this a hit

I have visited here many times. There has always been a great service, the waiters are always polite and the atmosphere is fantastic. The menu and offers have a great selection. There's a wide choice of beers, wines and soft drinks and selection of food. We had a special off the board where you can have 2 courses for so much. I had the fish cakes to start which were really flavourful and the ribeye steak for main course. The peppercorn sauce was lovely and all meals came with potatoes/chips as a side. Another great meal as usual. I have visited here several times and it is very busy. If you want to guarantee a table I would recommend booking one ahead of visiting but it will be worth it.

Come here a couple times. Food is excellent every time. Mussels are to die for. Staff is very formal and approachable if need be. They seem to have adopted the phrase “the best service is no service” meaning that their staff is very aware of what’s going and if anyone is in but do not make it apparent. For example I didn’t have anyone approach until something was empty, starters, and drinks. Very well done. And like I said food is excellent as ALWAYS. Very well done indeed, ladies and gents.

One of it not the best restaurant in Bridgend. Amazing food, super friendly staff and if your going there after about 6 you can drive into town and park right outside. Genuinely some of the nicest food I’ve had and the deserts are to die for too. If you want a nice place to eat id highly recommend them, though it is pretty popular so you are best going to their website or giving them a call to book a table

Food was very good, no complaints there, but was very very loud (8pm Saturday night, match day, may be why) Felt very rushed between starter and main, but then seemed to get forgotten about had to ask for dessert menu, and again the bill. Also empty drinks and not asked if we wanted any refills at any point. Also not asked how the food was during main (was on starter) think hats important too. Was surprised at how quick the turn around on tables was. Perhaps too busy and fast paced for us. But would probably return on a quieter period as the food was worth it.

The table staff were excellent and very friendly, the guy who I assume to be the manager was a bit rude when we arrived. Food... disappointing. Had the steak which was small and came with a tiny portion of sautéed potatoes (steak was cooked as requested though) and some over cooked veg. Cheesecake desert was good. Paid £110 for 5 people which included 3 cocktails and a couple of beers, left hungry ☹️

Poco Poco restaurant has moved to a large, well restored traditional building at the end of Wyndham Street with good space and high ceilings. We had a table in the 'external' fully enclosed glass area at the rear, overlooking the leafy cobbled courtyard and liked eating there. Tablecloths and linen napkins would perhaps improve things but the modern feel is fine. The dishes were good throughout and the 2 course lunchtime menu good value. We seemed to have three or four different waiters which got a bit confusing as they were all very good and attentive. We were asked a few times if we would like to order drinks and food when we had already. Not really a complaint then, (who doesn't like good service 😀) but unusual in a good way!

The best seafood I’ve had in years. Generous portions accompanied by delicious wine brought to you by a team who are all very polite and friendly. Superb food and perfectly priced. This was my first time dining out since restrictions were eased. This restaurant felt very safe with plenty of space between the tables, hand sanitiser available and all staff wearing masks. There was work on an outside dining area which looks like it will be a fantastic addition to the restaurant. We sat inside the cathedral sized glass atrium. I highly recommend going out of your way to dine here.

Lunchtime meal for three, all the food was excellent, price reasonable, and the ladies working there are all very pleasant. So why not 5 stars? The manager was a horrible little man, rude, sullen, appears to be in a bad temper all the time. He got in a right cob when our bill included the drinks from another table, which he amended, but was unpleasant about it. Needs to learn some manners.

Have enjoyed many happy visits to PocoPoco and enjoyed each one. Food was always excellent. They recently moved to a new location in Bridgend town. A really lovely impressive building. However, It was a rather disappointing experience. So noisy, It was impossible to relax. No ambience. There was a lot of food waste due to poor quality. Plus identical meals varied so much in size. It was brought to the waiter's attention, no action or apology was made. We were a party of 15, needless to say, we shall not be returning.

This restaurant is now relocated to elder street in the old terraced houses which are in the oldest part of Bridgend, with a lovely conservatory. It is very nice but very noisy due to it being like a barn with no upper floor, it needs some thing to absorb the noise perhaps some rafters. Food is good if you like Spanish food and garlic, staff very obliging and pleasant.

Cosy place, compact without feeling crowded in. Lovely food with quick service and friendly staff. I went to Poco Poco for the first time today on a Monday lunch time. Good job we booked the place was heaving. The place is fabulous inside really clean and combining a very modern decor inside a traditional stone cottage and court yard. Unfortunately we followed a large party and after 30mins our order had not been take. Despite promises from the head waiter we had to ask him yet again to take our order. Needless to say it took 50 mins before we got any food. However the set menu had a good choice of dishes and the food was first class. Great value for money and definitely worth a visit

Nice friendly Spanish restaurant, although the waiters were both polish. Had. Hi Ken in black pepper say d which was v tasty. It enough veg to share that come with the meal. I as hungry when I came home. Asked for green tea after my meal, and they don't do it. Any decent restaurant will serve green tea. That was a bit disappointment. Bit over priced for what I ate? Apart from that a nice evening had by all.

Very tasty tapas, beer selection a bit flat, but adequate. Thermically, some dishes use Italian recipes instead of their Spanish versions. Some cuts of meat have seen better days, and cooking rare is more like medium-rare. Not the best, but reasonable. Great service and friendly waiting.

Astoundingly good eatery that's definitely worth visiting if your anywhere close by. Very friendly staff, lots of fresh fish dishes that look like they change daily with what's available. three course meal including whole fresh rainbow trout with coffee and a pint of lager for less than £20 - incredible. I eat eat out a lot because of work and Poco Poco is best I've been to so far and that's not because of price but quality of food, service and ambience of the restaurtant.

Excellent choice of food, both á la carte and tapas, and drink. Great location, easy to get to with lots of parking around the town, plus a few other bars nearby if you want a drink before hand or after. Service is excellent and superb at dealing with allergens, probably the best experience we've had (dealt with by manager) in any local restaurant, and food was excellent! Highly recommended!

Back in the days when I was more omnivorous I had more than one excellent meal here. Since then I’ve given up meat & fish and unfortunately the only vegetarian main on the menu appears to be a bowl of pasta and vegetables. This is not very appetising. Now “why would you want to come to a place renowned for meat and fish just to kick up a fuss you vegetarian snowflake?!” I hear you ask. 1. My wife still eats meat and fish and really wanted to visit, which I was happy to entertain if they had at least one appetising main - that didn’t sound like you could get it from the Tesco lunchtime snacks fridge as part of a meal deal. Hell, just swap out the meat bit for some Quorn and I’d have been happy. 2. Who are you calling snowflake?
