S. M.This is a good chippy, no question. However, portion sizes are wildly erratic. I've been using this chippy for 6 years now. Last time I visited, I ordered just a portion of chips and what I got what can only be described as a 'handful' and it cost me £3.65!!! They were really good chips but seriously £3.65?? Depending on who serves you depends on portion size. It's not difficult, if you need to use a measured scoop or at least a set of weighing scales to offer a little consistency then do so. Let's not get started on fish portion sizes! Let's put it this way, fantastic though the food is, I won't be going back till they sort out their portion sizes...or their staff!!
P. D.Always good quality fish and chips in the 10 years or more I've been going here. Make sure of the opening times as it caught me out occasionally. I'd say best quality in the area, so my go to chip shop when I get the urge!
L. C.Never had a bad meal from here. Staff are always very friendly. Portions are big, but not too big and prices are pretty standard for a chippy these days.
C. H.Not often I use a chip shop but I have been using this fish and chip shop for years. I’ve never had anything but fantastic service here the food is the best around. The place is spotless. It can be really busy and the cue can be daunting. However the staff work well and the cue goes down quite quickly.
The only issue is parking but that doesn’t affect the shop at all. Highly recommend this place to anyone
