Reviews of Café Rouge - Brighton Marina

Great view of the harbour. Plenty of outside sitting. British modern interior with a pub like atmosphere. Lots of patron capacity so they can accomodate large groups. Pleasant service staff and knowledge about their offerings. I would be pleased to come back to Cafe Rouge once again.

What a lovely Afternoon Tea at Cafe Rouge. The weather was fantastic so sitting outside to enjoy the marina was an added bonus to this great food. …

I wanted to treat my partner to an afternoon tea on the seafront and Google recommended Cafe Rouge. Upon arrival, we were a little early but it wasn't busy so we got a decent table outdoors. We had to wait quite a while to be served, and again to have our tea. Although the service was slow we did enjoy the experience and the food was really exceptional. It is recommended not to use vouchers if you want a little flexibility in your order.

Absolutely gorgeous afternoon tea. The lemon meringue was melt in your mouth delicious.
The scone was soft and buttery. It was all absolutely amazing.
Highly recommend and in such a beautiful place too.

We had lunch here. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to find us a table. We didn't have to wait long for the food which was great.

Food was good, if sitting outside it's a nice view over part of the marina. The menu isn't vast but there's something for most tastes. The bar, restaurant and toilets (that are upstairs) were all clean.
Although the service was great for taking orders, the slight issue I had was that the servers would walk past tables and not take the empty plates away until it seemed a last resort!! A bit more attention to the all round service would have increased the rating.

11 of us arrived here for tea at 6pm. Had a 5 minute wait then off we went. Sarah looked after us (thankyou Sarah) and everything was good. Answered all our foodie questions, food was served (starters, mains and pudding) and we were all happy. Was concerned that a group of 11 might cause timing issues but that was not the case. All good. Would return if we didn't live so far away

Stopped for a late afternoon drink and nibbles (cheesy garlic flatbread and calimari). Glorious sunshine, great view over the Marina. Friendly staff.
