This is probably the best Dim Sum experience we have had and overall best eat in Brighton. The service was attentive, staff work very hard and the place is airy and clean. Dim Sum served from 12pm - 4pm everyday. The Dim Sum portions are great for price and seating is plentiful. Food comes out piping hot. The tea was also filled to the brim and hot. Must try fried turnip paste and prawn cheung fun. Overall highly recommended.

Love the food and cleanliness of this restaurant. We visited on Saturday and the food order didn't go to plan. For some reason they gave us the duck first and had to wait for the rest of the food. So ended up asking for the bill. Anyway, still the best Chinese restaurant in Brighton and absolutely worth a visit. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Went wth my wife for a spot of lunch at China Garden. The foods were just as good as I have eaten 40 years ago ! The roast duck was ace, the cuttle fish was fresh fried, the mixed peppers, beef with fried horfun was first class with smoky flovour ! The dim sum dishes were really nice. My wife truly enjoyed the custard tarts even though she was fully stuffed already. The service was excellent, the place looks clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch ! 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We hadn't visited for some years, due to the parking charges in Brighton but decided to visit today. Great atmosphere, lots of people dining at lunch time on a Monday. Had the mixed starter, which was delicious and then had a selection of dishes, all superb, favourite the satay selection supreme, a sizzling dish. So busy enjoying my meal forgot to take photos. Planning on going back for a dim sum lunch soon that looked good as well. Had a dim sum lunch and really enjoyed it.

We went there for the first time and, although, it's rated as a very good dinning place my experience wasn't so great. Seafood noodles were cold and with very small amount of seafood in it (costs £12.90) The bill was almost a £ 100 without any alcoholic drinks, I would not go back there again as the menu is overpriced. I was disappointed. Order came quickly but Kung Po chicken tasted more like sweet chilli chicken and rice portion was small and barely warm. Lemonade had a weird taste too. Given that China Garden is far from cheap you expect better. Shame.

My experience at China Garden two years ago was not good but the experience this time was good. As this restaurant has been serving food for the past 30 years, it is possible I may have been as a kid but at a different location if they have moved. Anyway, the reason I didn't like it two years ago was that the dimsum was so oily and the quality was like the bad stuff in Hong Kong. So on this visit, I didn't have any expectations but in general, the Chinese food in UK is much better than Hong Kong. Moving on to the dimsum, the taro puffs, rice rolls, Singapore rice noodles and egg tarts were impressive. To begin, the taro puffs were fried to perfection and gave a clean bite. It was made nicely with distinct taro coating with juicy mince meat in gravy inside the taro puff. The cup cake wrapper holding the taro puff did not have a drop of oil hence which was a good sign. Next were the rice rolls, again perfect uniformly opaque sheets with prawn underneath drenched in delicious sweet soy sauce. The Singapore rice noodles were delicious even though it was lacking colour and it was not too spicy crammed with fresh ingredients like pieces of charsiu etc. Finished with the Eggtarts which had a uniform pastry that was firm yet flakey. The eggtart filling in the middle was delicious. The only complaint was one of the waitresses that made me feel like Hong Kong, every time she collected the plates she would push me and the person sitting next to me aside. Anyway, I will probably be back if the gang are back.

When I first saw this place, it did remind me of the Cantonese types of restaurants back home and so we tried. We weren’t disappointed. The staff are authentic Cantonese (but can speak multiple languages including English of course ) and this is transferred into their tasty style dishes at a reasonable price too. The meals do come out rather quick even though we had a bit of issue with getting one of the dish (which they did apologies - but I wasn’t so phased). It’s rather large too so can accommodate a lot of customers of different group sizes. I would encourage you to book as they do get busy especially it’s so close to the seaside. Prime location.

The food was quite good. We had a few dishes between us The egg fried rice was good and so was the satay chicken. I personally would prefer the Singapore noodles with a bit more curry flavour but they were still delicious. Main reason I'm rating 4/5 was due to the service being a bit poor in areas. I received a coke instead of diet coke (which may have been a misunderstanding due to what I said). Then it took a while go get someone's attention to get us the bill as we were placed in the corner. It's still a nice restaurant though and we would go back

Our favourite Chinese restaurant and the delivered food is just like at the restaurant, we'd rather dine in for any meal but lockdown makes that impossible so we've had delivery, the food is exceptional, well worth a little extra outlay for the quality. Tonight we had scallops supreme which was loaded with scallops where other Chinese takeaways leave you fishing around around to find 4 or 5 China Garden put in about 20 very fresh big scallops; chicken in yellow sauce which was brilliant; and delicious spring rolls which were perfectly crispy and full of succulent vegetables, egg fried rice is perfect too, prawn crackers are complimentary. If you want a Chinese meal of the highest quality you will not be disappointed with China Garden. Can't wait to dine in when restrictions allow.

My wife and I have been going to China Garden for over 10 years. It always reminded us of those nice Chinese restaurants that you would go to with your family, sit at a round table and have a great meal, family style. 12 years later the staff, many the same, still know kids names and still give them a lollypop at the end. This could be the best Chinese restaurant in Sussex. I have lived in Taiwan and visited Hong Kong on several occasions and this is some of the best Chinese food I have tried outside of those places. Very authentic and really delicious. Dim sum lunches are definitely not to be missed.

Fantastic! Uber eats mucked up my order big time so ended up phoning the restaurant and dealing with them direct. The Ower was incredibly helpful and had a new order out to me within 20mins.the food is delicious, fresh ingredients and full of flavour, hands down the best in Brighton. Service is always poor in here, takes ages to get seated. Food is the usual stuff. This is the second place I've been served cooking soya sauce as a condiment. The last place that did I never returned to and I used to visit weekly. Fortunately, I live in London so can avoid this place quite easily.

Mixed platter, great, duck very dry, sweet and sour chicken lovely but the chicken in yellow bean sauce was inedible to me. It was that bloated slimy chicken that some restaurants are using now. No one came to ask if food okay so didn't send it back. However, £95 was extortionate price for meal that did include a £20 bottle of wine but no desserts or coffees. I have tasted much better in other Chinese Restaurants. The owner, I think she was, was very rude to a couple on the next table to us. I think charging service charge is unacceptable, I pay for good service myself without it being taken and it was more than the 10% i would have left!

China Garden is the Best Chinese Restaurant in Brighton Town. Across the road is a beautiful seafront with every amenities in sight. There is multi storey car parks within reach. Paying with credit cards will be up to the discretion of the owners of China Garden. If in doubt always give the restaurant a call directly. Dim Sum served is extremely delicious and reasonable priced. Excellent atmosphere for gatherings. Very popular and advisable to reserve a table in advance. Staffs are very welcoming and friendly.

Go here all the time when my boyfriend's mum comes to town. Quick service, no fuss, no frills, just good simple food. Whether you go for their dim sum or evening menu, you are bound to find something delicious! If you aren't too au fait with Chinese cuisine, it's a good starting point. Not traditionally Chinese, as I'm told, but close enough. Overall though, I would recommend going here. The Chinese tea is also to die for if you're looking for a bit of a salt cleanse :D
