A. B.It's nice food but nothing special. For the money there's much better value; £12 for a single takeaway tub of (chicken on the bone) curry and rice is average at best.
A. M.Having never been to Jamaica this is the closest I can imagine you'd get to it on Edward Street.
The pub next door allows their patrons to bring in food which gives you three choices;
1. eat in
2. take out
3. pub
my picture sums it up.. their food was too good to wait before taking a picture. The Chicken was succulent, mildly spicey and moorish. The Ox tail had little meat to offer but the flavours were delicious.
The service and attitude was authentic which spares every bit of attention to be spent on the food. Energy which isn't wasted.

Oneil is a friendly fella and we had a good chat whilst he was serving. Island will now be a regular Friday night for us now.
