Hmm I honestly don't know which side I fall on this one. I found staff slightly obnoxious and rude regardless of the "covid" there is no excuse in my eyes for bad customer service Overall price for food was good £42.00 for 2 adult meals and a kids meal and 3 drinks cutlery was dirty(you can see from the picture) even the portion sizes were not the best but hey ho what do you expect from mediocre, and cleanliness in the toilets not the best either

Lovely lunchtime experience, friendly welcome by Zoe, orders were taken promptly by Sharon. Generous helpings at the salad bar and polite conversations by both lovely ladies. The service was quick, efficient and the food was delicious.

Came here over a year ago. Staff we’re very careing with my 88 year old Nana. We we’re well look after when visiting your restaurant and if I’m down in Brighton again I will definitely consider this place again. We had a wonderful 3 course Christmas lunch here, and It was really nice. We were seated in a little cove where we were well looked after by the staff. This is an ideal place for people to go with family as it is good for parents, children and older people alike. As a vegetarian I really enjoy there vegetable bake at Christmas and you get plenty of veg to go with it, as well as a small pot of gravy. My husband however was glad to tuck inot a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Definitinetly worth the price too.

Five of us went here last night. Our waitress was Polish. Her service, attentativeness and smile was impeccable. The food was great and I had to take some home. The price was £191.00. Take off the bottle of wine 🍷 and that's about £35.00 each. Well done guys, a lovely experience. And don't forget the young man taking care of rules and regulations at the salad bar. Very professional. It's too easy to complain especially during a pandemic! But people would complain if you didn't follow the rules. So thank you everyone for a lovely evening altogether. I certainly will recommend the harvester ❤

I came in with my sister yesterday afternoon. Our waitress was a lovely, petite lady with brown hair. She was really welcoming and gave really good service. It wasn't very busy so felt abit sorry for the staff. My burger was great, will definitely be back soon. I work in hospitality too so thought I'd write a review.

When at salad bar, was told we couldn't have bread as it was in the oven but it was nearly done and would bring it over, staff then forgot so had to remind them and they brought over completely cold bread so don't understand how that was just cooked. Staff didn't ask if we needed anything such as sauces or salt (they didn't have salt pots) staff could have been more helpful, we had to keep flagging them downv

Our waitress Edyta, simply made our family meal, as enjoyable as possible. She was very polite, very friendly and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Whilst she was very busy running around taking orders, bringing food and drinks, serving us at the salad bar, clearing the table and carrying everything back to the kitchens, Edyta did all this with a smile on her face 😊

Took my mum and her friend here today. She really enjoyed herself and said the food was good and the environment was fab. Her waiter "darren" was the icing on the cake. Nothing was too much trouble. He was friendly and professional and made the occasion faultless.

My Food was amazing BBQ pulled pork burger and Cheesey Chips served to me by the lovely Sharon such a friendly lady and great customer service what did astound me was that she seemed to be the only one serving customers while the other lady kept cleaning the same tables over and over again she wasnt even in correct uniform wearing blue Jean's my poor server had 4 tables to deal with while the lady in Jean's and blonde hair kept cleaning and straightening napkins. Surly in a restaurant like this customers could have been served by both to keep waiting times down. Sharon you are an amazing server thank your for the excellent customer service xx

Not bad food here. Server was very attentive but service was so slow that I thought the food would never come at 1 point. When the food finally came (after nearly 1h) it was a mixed blessing. The ribs were falling off the bone and well sauced but they were put on top of the fries which meant the fries were wrecked and tasted like mush. The slaw was nothing special but well balanced on the palate while the corn was passable. And the desserts didn't arrive at same time (rookie error) but were up to scratch. Had the ribs been placed next the fries (and not on top of them) the rating would be a star higher. Most of the mistakes were avoidable. Those fries also needed a few extra minutes in the fryer (this along with the wait nearly cost a star). The ribs are worth recommending. Overall not a bad meal but basic things need to improve

Responding from the bank holiday Monday Served by Wayne, who on a hot day and quite a busy restaurant was unbelievable,no fault whatsoever. Amazing service. Only 4 stars however due to our mistake of booking a busy day but it was pleasant experience. Mine and the wife second visit back from first lockdown as we come from Portsmouth way and Brighton scenery is beautiful which bring us this down. From first visit 2 years ago the toilet facilities are amazing due to previously,the stink has gone and was cleaner for sure.

Decided to book at harvester for the weekend previously gone by. First meal out since lock down and was a pleasant one I was served by Lilly, A very kind lady who served us. Breakfast we had was OK ,bit over cooked but I've had worse. Place looked and feels cleaner I must say and overall I was pleased to find I hadn't been given a dirty table. We had a lovely visit to the Katarina yesterday, served by a lovely young lady,Natalie I think her name was. Absolutely brilliant she was,pleasure to have her,she was so nice and engaging with us. Our kids were booked to see Santa for breakfast and we have had our fair share of Santa tours this month and by far your Father Christmas was amazing. Our kids really enjoyed the time meeting Santa and we were truly amazed by his sign language to my youngest daughter who has learning difficulties. We will come again , definitely! Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Only slight complaint was the older bloke on the door, possibly the manager, northern accent, bit of a covid stickler, no smile, we were greeted with 'HAVE YOU BOOKED?' and 'SCAN THAT BARCODE GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS', and 'WEAR A MASK WHEN NOT SEATED AT A TABLE' to be honest I almost walked out as it came across as rude to me. But I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt and perhaps he was just having a bad day or we caught him at a bad moment and with his accent it just sounded harsh. Would have been five stars otherwise.

Staff were absolutely brilliant...... they had run out of a lot of the food and drinks however!!! Staff couldn’t be any more professional..... our poor waitress Edeta was literally running around trying to do everything!!! I’ve eaten here plenty of times and today I really felt they were totally understaffed...... the wait for our drinks and food was a lot longer than usual...... BUT the 1st weekend of opening after the pandemic we kind of expected this. Came with a group on Saturday, the resteraunt was quite busy but we were welcomed and seated quickly by the courteous manager, the 2 children in our party were invited to enter a colouring competition which enthralled them immediately. We had a lovely waitress, Natalie i believe her name was, and she managed to engage the kids while also taking down our orders. The food arrived just in time as we opted for the (bargain) unlimited salad bar instead of starters and it was delightfully presented and cooked to perfection, will definately return soon.

We just visited this harvester in after taking a day trip to Brighton and I must say that this ended the day on a perfect note. Food was cooked to perfection and in a timely manner but the highlight of the night was the staff. They were all happy and willing to help In any way they could to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. They interacted with my 2 year old boy so well he refused to leave until he said goodbye to the supervisor on shift ( whose name I sadly never caught). They do some great deals and it's generally great value. I would go just for the salad (all you can eat) starter. The menu has something for all. I had the mixed grill and my partner (vege) had a bean burger. With a voucher we paid just £16.99 for a small feast. Got a hungry family, if so pay a visit. They have an app for payment which eventually worked. Don't laugh they chased us as we left (hense the dropped star). Also could use more staff to keep on top of the busy stream of customers and keep the place tip top clean. Over all I love the place and would visit again and again.

Came into the harvester with a group of friends for dinner on Saturday night, after the worst day of my life. Was promptly greeted at the door by Ben who took me to my table and took care of me. He made me feel very welcome. I ordered a child's rack of ribs which arrived quickly and tasted amazing!! The atmosphere was great and the place was well kept, everyone was friendly and took care of my every need. It brightened up my day and changed my mood massively! Cass cleared my table after I ate and was very friendly. Down at the bar I was served by Erin, who made my drinks and listened to me. Best harvester I've been to. Will come back again soon

To be honest, it wasn't the best experience because we had a problem with our food. All the steaks were mixed up in terms of the way they were requested to be cooked. However, we alerted the waiting staff and they did take one away to sort it. I had to swap my "medium to well" fillet with my friends "rare" sirloin because they were both wrong. My "medium to well" fillet was very rare and her "rare" sirloin was very dead. In fairness, they did apologise and offered us free desserts which we accepted . It did appear that our server was a little frustrated with us because once we placed the dessert order, they came back and said that the order had been lost so wanted us to repeat it. We did but they were very abrupt with us which seemed out of character as they had previously been very nice. Not sure what sparked the change in mood at that moment of time. Alas, had a pleasant evening with good company.

This is the first time in over a year that we have been to this Harvester as we were very dissappointed then. This time Wednesday lunch time we were very impressed with the good presentation and the food quality was indeed excellent. The best gammon we have had anywhere for a long time and nice hot chunky chips. This maybe due to it being fairly quiet and early lunch. Tracy the grill chef did the restaurant proud . It's a little overpriced for the overall food quality, some of which feels reheated. There is rarely any staff available to meet and greet when you first come in and it's very hard to get the attention of a server to pay the bill and leave. Mostly good, what you see is what you get.

Great all you can eat breakfast on the weekends and lovely mixed grill (especially the gammon). I've had some things from the menu which are overpriced (pretty much all of the sides) and on one occasion the chicken we were served with the mango chicken dish was rock hard and had to be sent back with a different dish ordered. Replacement dish was better (I believe we ordered a burger instead). If you stick to their mixed grill / steaks, chips and breakfasts on the weekends though you can't go wrong.

Went here with my wife for our wedding anniversary. First thoughts was lovely location and we wasn't disappointed walking through the large glass front doors we were met with a warm friendly environment. Headed to the stair well and walked up towards the restaurant we were created by a lovely waiter his name I think he said was Wayne. A friendly and bubbly waiter blonde hair my wife was immediately taken back by his wonderful attitude. He brought us the menus and we ordered our food he upgraded our meals with large fries and was excellent to up sell the products. During the meal he visited our table to make sure everything was ok don't get this at your competitors across the road. All in all if I could rate each thing it would be as follows. Very friendly staff and on the ball. The food is of a satisfactory standard for the price you pay. Bear in mind that it is part of a chain so there will be no fireworks but it is ok for a pitstop or easy stop off if you are a group and looking to go to the cinema or something else in the immediate area.

After reading all of the negative reviews on here and on trip advisor I STILL decided to dine in this restaurant last night (Sunday) and I cannot stress enough how friendly the staff are including the manager who greeted us with a huge smile and a very welcoming tone to his voice and I was even more impressed at the interaction he had with my children by having a little chat and joke with them as in some restaurants the children do get ignored. The food came out to us cooked to profection and hot! I must stress that we are all human and everyone makes mistakes, if there was a problem with my food I would not go to the extremes of posting horrible reviews like I have seen. I have problems with food in other restaurants in the past but it was delt with before leaving and I was more than happy with the outcome. I must say let people learn from mistakes and praise wherever possible because having negativity all the time doesn’t make the staff feel worthy of their jobs. Well done to all the staff at the katarina you are doing an amazing job. A* to you all.

We went to the Katarina for Christmas day dinner. The food was good, but what made our day was the amazing service given to us by Matt. He appeared to be that server on the ground flood and was very busy. In spite of the he was friendly, attentive and got every thing spot on. He even made time the joke and chat with 91 year old Dad. Make sure you spend time at this Harvester. Hospitality was great and the waiter was very helpful, nothing was too much bother. Good ambience and a very satisfying meal, would recommend trying the chasseur sauce, very flavoursome and can even take a pot home with you at a cost. After a busy morning I decided to take my son out to the marina, preferably so I could grab him a McDonald's but unfortunately it was very busy with it being full of students, so I decided to make a morning of it and attend the harvester katarina, my god it was worth it! I couldn't find anyone as I walked in but was greeted by Jay as I think I disturbed him as I could see he was cleaning but he politely stopped to welcome me and my son and showed me upstairs to the breakfast counter,which is a good variety of a selection I must add! I ordered the Big one and small breakfast for my son, the food is fresh, tasty and was so Delicious! My food was brought to me by a young lady named kerry who is very welcoming and polite. It's not a Michelin star winning restaurant, but it's perfectly good for what it is. You can go here and grab some reasonably cheap food and drinks, with an unlimited salad bar to compensate for the drinking and burger eating. I try to avoid the marina in general as I find it a bit tacky and touristy, The Katarina felt that way the first time I visited, but the second time (Which was quite late in the evening) was quiet and relaxed. It won't be my first choice for taking people out for a fancy dinner in Brighton, but I'm sure I'll find myself there again.

The atmosphere whilst sitting in the restaurant was very calming and relaxing. When someone had left the tables they were promptly wiped down and relaid with clean cutlery and napkins there salad bar was fresh and full and the overall look of this restaurant from the outside and on the inside was clean and inviting good place for families or friends just wanting a good meal prices are very reasonable and the staff are happy to help you with anything you need over I give this a thumbs up :)
