The food was amazing and not oily.
Highly recommended
K. N.
It was very nice place, the food I order was very dried and my starter chicken is burn and dry.
K. C.
We were part of a party of 30 for a meal. The food was really good and the service was attentive.

Understated Indian Restaurant with a lot of class. Subtle and contemporary decor. Delicious Indian cuisine. 🤩. Excellent service. Low noise experience, which is rare in this noisy world. Luxurious. (Table cloths, so must be posh 🤩🥳)
BRIGHTON MARINA BOARDWALK. Next to MALMAISON HOTEL.

To celebrate our son's birthday our family met after work at Brighton marina to have an evening meal. They chose this Indian restaurant as we wandered around lookingat other eating venues. We were given a friendly welcome and were very well looked after throughout the evening. They gave my twenty seven year old son a free birthday cake with candles and sang 'happy ' which was an unexpected surprise and made our visit extra special. The food was delicious, fragrent and fresh. As a party of five adults We had a main meal with rice or naan each, poperdoms with pickles and five bottled beers between the non drivers which came to under £120 total. The atmosphere was airy, friendly and calm. We did not feel crowded even though they were quite full. Easy wheelchair access with wide doors no steps in or out of the restaurant and lift access to the upper boulevard . Tables have starched table cloths which were changed after each dining party left making the tables fresh and clean. The facilities were separate for male or female and clean with non-commercial soap hand towels as well as air dryers. Thank you Malika restaurant we had a lovely evening out and really appreciated the extra effort you all went to to celebrate our son's birthday.

We went for the first time on Sunday and opted for the buffet. The food was pretty bland to be honest, the curries were watery. Restaurant was nicely decorated and service was good. We will try again but will order from the menu next time. The only thing we found pleasant about the buffet was the chocolate fountain with fresh fruit, the children really enjoyed that.
I.
Proper Indian food. They are very generous in their portions. Although waiting time was long. The food compensate for it

Amazing foods, amazing atmosphere, amazing entertainment , free parking and the staffs are always friendly xx
L. W.
Very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Offered us complimentary shots at the end of our meal which is always a bonus in my eyes! The lamb biryani was lovely! We came in while it was still quiet so it was a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely come again!

After visiting the Labour Party conference in Brighton, fancied some Indian food, this restaurant was recommended by friends telling me it was very good. Couldn’t agree more, excellent staff, delicious food and credit to owners Pip and Mariles. We will be back.

Having indian origins I personally find it difficult to find good and nicely flavoured Indian food in Brighton . Absolutely loved the food here. It was incredible and the staff was super friendly too. Really enjoyed, thanks guys.
T. D.
This was my first visit to Malika and the food was first class. I also tasted the dishes my friends had and I was very impressed. Will definitely be going back soon
L. T.
It's genuinely always amazing food. Lisa is a beautiful diamond and its my go to first night restaurant in the marina
L. F.
Absolutely recommend place for lunch dinner or party! Perfect service
Amazing Indian menu
Good variation of drinks
Very clean, high level of service
F. L.
Wonderful restaurant, the food is almost as good as the one you get in India, so, quite different to other "westernised" Indian restaurants I've tried.
The venue is spacious and light and the service is impeccable.
They also do amazing cocktails and deserts.
I highly recommend it, it's a completely different experience to the local indian restaurant most of us have been used to.
m.
Loved it. Friendly staff and great food. As always I had a vindaloo and it was a pleasant take on a traditional classic. Nice and hot, yet uniquely different (in a great way) from others I've had. Equally good was the chicken tikka massala which was creamy and rich in flavour.
Really can't fault anything at all. We will be back.

Food quality & presentation was outstanding. My taste buds had a party here. Atmosphere is fresh/bright & spacious and the service is excellent. Highly recommend

Brightons best kept secret for authentic indian food. A bright modern spacious restaurant with friendly staff and reasonably priced dishes. The butter chicken and tandoori naans were superb, as were all the other dishes. Well worth a trip to the Marina just for Malikas!
C. B.
Been looking for a new favourite sit-down Indian for a while and this has hit the mark on our last two visits. A good choice of dishes, well presented. Busy, but attentive staff. Lovely venue.
D. L.
Lovely staff (except the blond lady at the bar). The restaurant looks very nice with all the lovely decorations. The food is amazing and the service is excellent. The prices of the mains are reasonable (£10-£14). The only negative at this restaurant is that you will be surprised by the high bill. The charges for the starters, drinks, and service is not reasonable (most of it is not even mentioned in the menu and you would think this is a free welcome starter). For example:
£2 for one small poppadom. £2 for a piece of naan. £2 for 3 spoons of rice. 10% service (they mention this at the VEGETARIAN MAIN COURSES page in their menu!). You would think you can spend £40-45 for two people but the minimum you will pay is usually not less than £60.
A. E.
Really good food and attentive staff. A great alternative to the chain restaurants at the Marina.
S. H.
I can’t thank this restaurant enough for providing s superb birthday experience for my daughter and her family. Not only good food, good wine and excellent service but the birthday balloons, hats and cake with candles. Excellent! Well done.
C. P.
Some Indian restaurants are hit and miss, this place is always consistent. Nice non-greasy food, well presented. Great staff and good service. We always come back here when we’re in Brighton.
D. P.
Had a great time tonight at Maliki but that was due to the company. The food in my opinion was not great.
M. P.
The Best Indian food ever . I have visited this place i love the food. My recommendation would be bombay bhel, paneer makhni, garlic naan. This owner and the staff is very friendly and welcoming..!!

Visited Malika restaurant recently with a friend and had a fantastic evening. Although it was a very busy bank holiday and a little slow, the staff were excellent, especially Lisa, very courteous and pleasant, incredibly attentive. Lisa must be a credit to this restaurant.
When the meal arrived it was excellent, quite unique flavours.... very very good and enjoyable. Great evening and a very special thanks to Lisa, will defiantly visit again. It’s often the evening as a whole and not just the food, especially when the staff are as good as Lisa. Great!
A. J.
Went there for my dad's 60th the staff were extremely friendly and polite , wasn't expecting it but got bought out a cake and balloons! The service was impeccable and the food was flavourful with a reasonable menu , overall a brilliant restaurant I highly recommend 👌

Cannot rate my experience at Malika Indian Restaurant highly enough.
The staff were friendly and attentive, the restaurant looked lovely and was very clean, the food was amazing.
One member of our group is currently not able to eat certain foods, such as onions and garlic. I thought it may be difficult for the chef to accommodate due to the spices and flavours used, but the restaurant was more than happy to help and the meal was thoroughly enjoyed.
I will be recommending to friends and family and will definitely be visiting again myself.
Thank you to the everyone at Malika!
D. K.
Amazing restaurant! The food was very tasteful and cooked to perfection! Compliments for the chef!
Staff was lovely and very attentive. Special thanks to Lisa, who looked after us, had a drink with us and make our night so much fun. We will be coming back.
K. V.
Lovely atmosphere, clean restaurant and friendly staff.
However, I had a chicken tikka masala, which was supposed to be mild, and my mouth was on fire. I always order this and have never had an issue anywhere else. I don't do well with spicy food!
My partner was also disappointed as our poppadom chutney tray didn't contain mint yoghurt - his absolute favourite - and the water had cucumber in it (personal taste).
K. “. B.
Lovely, airy well situated Curry House in the Marina with modern decor, brilliant helpful, friendly, staff and just absolutely fabulous food. They also do music themed midweek events.
Return visit already booked; I think that says it all!
K. A.
Delicious food, made by expert chef. Good presentation. Courteous staff. Beautiful location. Vast seating area. Economical price for Sunday Buffet. Recommended
K. L.
Best Indian restaurant in Brighton! Amazing food, The bartender Lisa was very friendly and even gave us complementary after eights after our meal.
R. R.
Phoned this restaurant to order a takeaway for collection, the staff member who answered the phnoe was very pleasant and welcoming, i placed my order & she said it would be ready in 20 minutes i was amazed & happy as i had to take my car from my garage, normally these takeaways say 10 minutes which wouldn't have suited me, when i arrived at the restaurant, once again i was welcomed with smiles all round, i told the manager that this was my first time that i am ordering from here & he kindly gave me a few popodums, i said to him should i enjoy the food i will order here regularly & recommend others, i would like to mention that other establishments within Brighton & Hove are not very welcoming they just think of how much you are going to spend & you are just a number to them also most food outlets are not hygienic & everyone is selling the same r*bbish bland food. This Restaurant has passed with 100% from me, i will keep telling them to keep up the good work next time i go back for a delicious meal. Thank you (Mm)malika well done from me.
m. e.
We went to this lovely restaurant for dinner.
The staff were very professional and polite. The restaurant was very clean and presented lovely.
The food was delivered very soon after ordering, snd it was absolutely delicious.
Me and my family enjoyed very much.
Thank you.

Superb. The food was delightful, fresh, tasty and hot. The waiters/waitress were friendly and attentive without being over bearing. Will definitely be back soon
S. M.
Very nice menu, reasonable price. Spacious and airy, did not feel closed in which is good as we come out of Covid. Good as a couple but equally good for groups. Did not have to wait long for meals to arrive.
a. s.
Amazing Food Fantastic staff! The Buffet on Sunday makes no sense regarding Coronavirus! You can't touch any of the main serving spoons but all the sauses and fruit spoons it's ok for everyone to touch :) obviously Coronavirus only stays on the Main Food Serving spoons haha😜 Most Delicious Buffet though incredible food Highly reccomend! 5 Stars.
M. S.
As a vegan who also eats gluten-free, this is the perfect Indian restaurant. The menu is clearly labelled and the staff is super attentive. To top it all up the food tastes amazing - seriously a brilliant place to go with a group of friends or on a date - you will leave with a smile on your face and a happy & full belly.

Quality indian food with great ambiance and nice service

Wow - what a place!
Recent business trip, we had a great time at Malika. Food was excellent, staff were very friendly and we even got time with the owners, Pip and the team are a great bunch and they have a wonderful place, an absolute must when in Brighton! Cannot wait to come back 😀
S. A.
Best vindaloo I have ever had, and the starter was fantastic. Definitely a venue for an evening experience as opposed to going out for a quick meal. Very good quality food, service a tad on the slow side. Ideal for a date night when you're not in a rush.
x.
The food wasn’t great even though we got there 50 minutes later we still got in but the wasn’t great at all
H.
THE BEST Indian food you can find in town. Been to a few Indian restaurants before but there was always something that wasn't quite meeting the expectations. Malika's is nicely decorated and has a modern/chic look to it. There were freshly cut flowers on every table and there were a few little cultural touches here and there. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was soooo good. The menu is different/authentic than the others around. We've had a few popodoms and Chutney to begin with, the lamb and prawns as mains and a bottle of red to share. Food was so fresh, tender and delicious - I absolutely loved it. I thought the bill was fair for what we had but it can add up if you're having starters, sides and/or dessert. The waitress said the new management took over from a previous Indian restaurant there. Looks like they've done a very good job. Will definitely be back here again. Photos don't do justice, go experience it for yourself!
K. S.
November dragged on and ..... on and .... on we'd been without an Indian for months Thankfully earlier this week Malika opened.
What a treat .... the most exquisite tastes and what an unusual menu.
We really enjoyed the house wine and the many new flavours. Well worth a visit

First time visiting this Indian restaurant, what a great decision , wonderful atmosphere, super friendly staff, food was amazing and reasonably priced. Will visit again for sure

I went in a group of 11, when arrived we were seated offered a drink and that was good, our party was a bit late, I was given a pre ordered starter as I was the only 1 eating a starter I didn't mind, then while waiting, for main food requested table poppadoms and chutney tray, eventually chutney trays came out but no poppadoms, them main course straight after, pointless and was still charged for, my rice was served, no main dish everybody but 1 other served and 10 mins still no dish, the other person served wrong meal, and still had to wait even longer, not very happy, I had dhansak with special rice which was not bad a bit hotter than normal but too sour, cheese n garlic nan was also pretty good, we were only offered 1 more round of drinks and that was it waited ages for any other service, and then had to request bill from the bar, which also included 10% service charge, the waitresses that served us were very polite and well mannered hence 3 stars, but the attention before and after the main meal was completely lacking and no desert offered at all,
I probably will not return, and can't recommend 😕
n. b.
The food was tasty. Portions of rice were pretty minute for the price and were pretty much standard rice rather then the description on the menu. Only a few tables occupied on a wet Sunday Eve in January but getting the bill was like pulling teeth.

Authentic Indian food! along with Very warm service. Amazing Ambience.
It was a worthwhile visit, definitely will recommend to my Friends
R. L.
Gorgeous food, amazing service. Never been here before but definitely coming back. I am stuffed too which is always good!!!!
M. M.
Very nice food. Good portion sizes and friendly staff. A member of staff did argue that we had only ordered two and not three naans and you have to ask why. Just make another one. On the whole a good experience.
L. G.
We enjoyed a very tasty meal with a very good bottle of Shiraz. It was good to see flavours and dushes we hadnt come across before. All was served with professionalism and in an amazing setting. The re launch if this restaurant is a great addition to the eateries in the Marina. We will definately be back.
S. M.

Highly recommended.
M. M.
Fantastic curries to be had and I would recommend to all.
l. a.
Good food, nice view of the Marina. Portion sizes a little small for me but other thank that it was a lovely meal!
C. M.
Very long wait for service, and checks on whether orders were placed or not... not just our table, and it wasn't very busy. Food was nice, though.
c. e.
Staff friendly but service slow even tho they weren’t busy . Limited menu and certain drink choice. Won’t rush back
C. G.

Amazing service, food and cleanliness. Highly recommended. This is most definitely the best Indian restaurant in Brighton and the best restaurant generally on the marina. The food is nicer than most Indian restaurants in London. 10 stars.

Food Excellent
Service was okay
Views were amazing and the overall style of the restaurant was stunning.
Had to wait a rather long time for food and I had to ask 3 times for some table water.
Hence the 4/5
