Reviews of Shelter Hall

Shelter Hall is a great food hall situated right next to the beach offering wonderful views on the first floor. Having tried most of the food stalls there, I can say they definitely do not disappoint. My personal favourite was Pan The Lost Boys Chicken. Their chicken sandwiches were excellent. They had a nice crunch to them and good amount of sauce. Blue Tacos were also great. The service system there was efficient and staff were friendly. Definitely a must visit when in Brighton.

Very enjoyable food hall with great sea view!
The selection of food stalls is good and when I came the order was actually served fairly fast as well.
Recommend the sirloin steak from ox grill was so tender and juicy.
If you are lucky grab a seat on the balcony with amazing sea views.

Very nice food hall with indoor seating and upstairs balcony views. You order on the app and they serve to your table from all the vendors which is great so you can pick and choose items from a variety of cuisines. The food was tasty and we'll cooked and they have a full bar. Toilets upstairs were large a clean. Highly recommended if your walking along the beach and hungry but not sure what to eat, as this place covers it all.

Best place to go in Brighton as far as food or drinks are concerned. The Korean place and Zest both are a must try. The pizza at Amalfi was okay but everything else did not disappoint at all.

A very good experience! Once you get your head around ordering, its great. We found its easier to all look at the menus on the app, but let one person order. But your choice :-)
Its fun, there is a good selection of food and it comes in a reasonable time frame. We all ended up eating from the same place, so our food came together, remember it may not.
Cost wise its on parr with other restaurants. We ate with OX Block and it was amazing. My 45 day aged steak was cooked to perfection.
For me, the only downer is that the toilets are grubby. There are a couple of cubicles with missing door locks and missing fitments. Not great for a unisex facility.
Its also very chatty and noisy, so if its a romantic meal you're after, you may want to book an outdoor balcony with sea views..... weather dependent.
All in all, a fun place with a good standard.
(Food fotos are: 45 day aged steak, lemon chicken/thyme thigh and Mac Daddy burger all from Ox Block with Skin on fries)

Visited for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. It's good being able to order from different places all at the same time.
The menu is pretty easy to navigate but I did have some problems clearing my card security on the website and had to revert to using a debit card instead to allow the payment to be made. As it's reliant on people paying over their phone this is a bit of an issue with some their website and some card providers.
Service is very quick, particularly for the pizzas which arrived before the drinks even.

Amazing views and really amazing food. We are mostly from the Tiger and Rabbit Korean restaurant, and it was finger licking good. We ate the mushroom korean bbq and the fried chicken - both spectacular.
Next up, we got the tasting vegan plate from the Zest, and it was really delicious too! I would recommend getting the fish sauce as your dipping sauce (vegan available too)
The only disappointing meal was from Amalfi, as we didn’t really enjoy the doughy pizza crust, or the peppercorns on the vegan pizza, which we thought monopolised the taste completely.
Cocktails were yum too, so give that a go!

A pre Christmas / Birthday lunch at Shelter Hall, and quite excited about the whole experience. The different restaurant choices is a nice angle to cater for most, of which we dined with the Ox Block by Kenny Tutt. We are familiar with Pitch and his newly opened tapas bar in Worthing so had high expectations, which were satisfyingly exceeded. For reference we ordered the sharing butchers block, which more than fed two of us with flavoursome lamb, steak and chicken on flat bread with fries.
We took the liberty of booking an outdoor igloo, which was firstly for the experience but more importantly distancing safely whilst eating. We found the host was warm and welcoming at reception and the young chap that took our drink orders was very helpful too, and both wore masks when interacting with us inside the igloo.
Without sounding pedantic we had two further male servers whom both entered with our food wearing no face coverings, which being in a relatively small space we found uncomfortable. I am unsure of the current guidelines for this environment, but we would of felt allot more comfortable if masks were worn whilst serving us.
The property itself is very well presented and I can only imagine a positive vibe is felt when at capacity, we will be returned no doubt.

Cool place for food and a few drinks, food and drinks came out quickly even though it was really busy, we ordered from sear, was really excited to try this out as we always wanted to go to one of their main establishments in the town,
The food when it arrived was presented well, however the steak was heavily chargrilled, burnt I would say, was lovely and pink but maybe a poor cut of meat as was really tough.
My partner had the chicken, again really black out the outside, so couldn't really taste much apart from this,
The chips were really nice but my partners were wayyyyyyyyy top salty!!! She couldn't eat them, trouble is there is no one to speak to after your meal is served, so after this we headed somewhere else for pudding and drinks.
Possibly a nice place for lunch but not dinner.

I completely forgot to take photos of the dishes when they cam out, so don’t mind the sloppy pics, but i got the summer veggie roll and the blue pork tacos! We reserved the private room and it was honestly brilliant. So much space and there was a big tv, we played music and had food and drinks. Staff were polite and very fast service. Couldn’t fault anything really
