Reviews of Socialite Restaurant and Bar

Walked into socialite for a bottomless brunch (5 of us) and 'girls just want to have fun was playing' I jokingly said if the brunch matches the playlist we're going to have an amazing time.. And I was not wrong!
The decor and general mood of the venue is beautiful, great lighting in the communal area of the bathrooms for those bathroom selfies 😅 the staff very welcoming and attentive (one of our party was late but the allowed us to wait and start the bottomless time when they arrived) the food was absolutely delicious (I specifically recommend the eggs benedict) between us we had the benedict, poached eggs and avo and the full English and everyone enjoyed their meal, we also got a side of the truffle chips which were out of this world.
We will definitely be going back, fabulous venue, delicious food and our glasses were never empty!

The restaurant itself was a lovely place however service was poor. Food came an hour late even though there weren’t many customers at all, our drinks were given to the wrong people and it is slightly overpriced for what it is. Food however was good and a nice atmosphere

We have edited this review in light of going back to Socialite. We feel it was worth the second visit to give opportunity to rectify our initial visit. Gareth the manager is friendly, personable and cares about what he does. Our service this time round was a lot better and more efficient this was even with a table of 14 being ahead of us. This time we went for the sharing tomahawk steak. We haven’t rated 5 stars purely based on the fact that we still feel the steak was over cooked so would recommend asking for much rarer than you would normally go for. All in all it is a very nice venue, friendly staff and reasonable pricing. We are actually looking forward to returning to check out their brunch menus. Please read on for our initial review if you like. My wife and I came to the restaurant to have a meal and planned to have drinks on the roof terrace. Sadly we did not stay for drinks due to the service. Whilst our server and the front of house staff were very friendly the service was appallingly slow. We ordered a bread starter to share that never came. We waited over an hour for our main course to arrive. On arrival of the food we found truffle chips to be 9 chips with a small amount of truffle. for our truffle fries. A steak that each that was mediocre at best and not quite cooked to what we requested myself medium my wife medium rare both thought they could have been cooked less to suit our requested taste and this is what we usually order as well. They took our drink off the bill but it was the food that was the issue. Also the server asked if we would like anything done rather than just doing something or at least offering without asking. I would highlight if your reading this I am never one to expect things to be done with poor service. However, I should never be asked if I wanted to ask for something to be done if it is ever That bad the offer should at least be there when we highlight it was not up to scratch.

Socialite is okay. Me and my friends went specifically for the advertised terrace. It’s very tiny and there’s no view, if it’s summer you might just see the sky above you, otherwise it’s just between buildings. We also struggled to find the location. I’m pretty sure it was wrong on google maps and we had to phone in to ask where they were. Good staff and cocktails were okay but nothing special. Nice for a drink though

Great service, great food, great atmosphere…all in all a very good place to go. We did the bottomless brunch for our niece’s birthday on a Saturday…and even managed to do the roof terrace in March. All great…highly recommend! M
