Visited with the family for lunch. Didn't know it was a vegan restaurant and went in based on the menu. I had the vegan kebab, it was a very large portion, and very tasty. Pretty good value, would visit again. Wife and kids also enjoyed their food. All round good experience.

If I had 6 stars I will give it. My bf made me thought it was real meat ( because I love meat🥰) but when he asked me what type of meat it was, I realise it was not chicken pork or other hahaa I was so confuse then he announce it was 🌱 vegan IT Was delicious really the texture and everything I recommend it to everyone !

Could not recommend What The Pitta enough, great selection of vegan kebabs, wraps and such. Perfect for those vegans among you and those wishing to just drop the meat intake a bit. Friendly service and cracking portion sizes. Travels well via deliveroo if needed but perfect for a quick bite to eat when walking past.

I love the food here, it is always tasty and worth the money, sadly the only negative is the limited inside seating so you can be lucky to get a seat. They do offer soft serve with quite a few toppings all vegan.

Despite Saturday dinner time rush and the shop being super busy, the staff was very nice and answered our questions very patiently. We had to wait 20 minutes to get our food, but we could see people behind the counter working non-stop to get the previous orders done. There was decent room inside the store to wait, and some chairs out on the pavement. Food was vegan friendly and had a generous student discount, but not as tasty as you would expect falafel based food to be. It was quite bland compared to what we were expecting and the salad was straight out of fridge which made it super cold and even more bland tasting. Fries were super tasty and well done. Though, we went in such a rush time that maybe that's not the best time to judge the food here. If I end up there again in future, will update this review.

I needed a hearty lunch before I went to get a tattoo. What the Pitta totally delivered. I didn't think I could finish the whole doner, but I just didn't want to put it down. It had that amazing schwarma taste, and a ton of protein to boot. My only regret is not saving room for the soft serve. Next time!

Delicious jam-packed vegan doner kebab that I'm still full from. Fantastic bite to eat and I've never before had a freshly made wrap before, which surely helped with the fantastic overall taste. Really wanted to love this place but unfortunately only like it. The donner wrap was absolutely incredible. 10/10, couldn't fault it. Unfortunately the meze falafel box was quite underwhelming. The falafel were hard as rocks on the outside (see photo for colour difference to official photo), the hummus was tasteless and almost watery, and the cous cous was also pretty tasteless. If we'd have stuck to the donner wrap, I'm sure this would have been a 5* review, but unfortunately the meze box was just a bit too underwhelming for that - especially when there are far better meze available within a 10 minute walk of the place

Nice place to grab a vegetarian meal. The kebab and gyros were amazing and almost meat like. The pitta, chips and salad were pretty good, too. At first I didn't realise it was a vegetarian place and for sure the food could fool you and everything tastes delicious. Fast service, helpful and courteous staff. Reasonably priced, especially with the meal deals. Centrally located and easy to grab a fast meal. Recommended for sure.

Found this on Instagram...was visiting family in Sussex this weekend and went out our way to try it. SO glad we did...excellent service, value for money, all vegan menu and the food was honestly the best vegan food we've EVER had!! Hope this business grows so there is one in every town and city in the UK . 25 out of 10! Well done guys...keep it up (and I myself am not currently vegan either but have been in the past - wife and 14yr old son are pescatarian)

So happy to have come upon this place after arriving late night into Brighton. The menu is simple and to the point with all vegan kebab, doner, and even vegan sauces. The staff is incredibly helpful, the prices are consistent with normal UK prices, but the food is exceptional. I ordered the doner combo with a drink and chips for £12 (£6 after discount) but wasn't expecting the massive portion that arrived at my table. The doner wrap was almost as big as my head and the intricate flavors of the meal had me forget to take photos as I couldn't resist bite after bite. The vegan doner was marinated and cooked beautifully and flavors of it synergized harmoniously with the salad and sauces within it.

Best vegan junk food EVA!!!! I came to Brighton, on my motorcycle, as it's Ace Cafe Reunion weekend. The rest of the family are upset that I had a What The Pitta without them. It actually has caused a bit of a rift, & they suggested I should have had some soggy chips from the seafront, instead. The staff are lovely. The food is top notch.

The doner wraps will make you feel like you have never really eaten until you take your first bite. Prices are not bad at all as resterants on deliveroo go. Probably the cheapest one on there I've found that does just great vegan food. Never actually eaten in so I can't speak to that but it's me and my girlfriends go to special treat take-away when in Brighton. Also they literally ALWAYS give us extra sauce.

really really good kebab replica, probably the best vegan/vegetarian faux meat i've tried. salad was decent and chilli sauce was actually spicy. quite a large wrap albeit a tad pricy at roughly £8,50. surely soy pieces aren't more expensive than real meat? charged extra for sauces which id say is usually a free accompaniment with a kebab. other than my grumbles on price id go back as it was really quite good.

Had been meaning to try this place for a while, but was a bit disappointed by my vegan kebab. I have had lots of vegan kebabs in Worthing which were excellent (VBab), and thought this would be even better. However, the kebab was a tortilla wrap which ended up being very soggy. Ordered all the salad, but didn't seem particularly fresh. Also ordered chilli sauce, but there was no spice whatsoever in mine. However, very large portion so does fill you up.

This is my favorite place to eat at in Brighton. The quality is really good and it's such good value. By far the best vegan kebab I ever had. And even my omnivore friend enjoyed it so much and said he would get their food over a meat kebab any day. :) The fries are a little bit better in their Croydon location, but other than that no complaints at all. I appreciate the way they made it possible to just pick up on the street since the place is quite small and would be hard to social distance.

First off let me say the portion sizes are big and that's reflected in the price. One wrap could feed two people, so a good place to go if your hungry. We go to What The Pitta several times a month. The staff are amazing, always with great customer service whilst being under pressure a lot of the time due to the demand of their amazing plant based food. The portion sizes you get for the price are unmatched for a restaurant in Brighton. I haven't met someone who has tried the Doner chip box, gyros or kebab and hasn't said it tasted great and they will be back for more! It's a place you need to go in Brighton to try for yourself especially if you're new to eating plant based food!

The missus and I decided to order and have a chilled day in our air bnb. I've always wanted to go to the London branch but never got around to it. So when I saw this was close by via delivaroo. I jumped on it. The food was amazing, and coming from a couple who admittedly are not vegan, it was better than majority of the kebbabs and we've had! Also the baklava, how they've made the best tasting baklava I've had so far, especially it being vegan (I'm middle eastern so this is a big compliment) I'll never know! The best thing, is you don't feel gross after! We 100% will visit the London branches for sure.

Mezze box is great and good value for money-wehat I ended up ordering. Asked for a slad box (as advertiserd outside) and got corrected to mezzee. Half the bnox was then filled with cousous, which I'm not a fan of. The 'meat' was fab and the small amount of salad was lovely. My pertner loved their wrap and chips. All of the dips are nice too-plenty with the Mezze which is why I didnt complain

I came a month ago to What The Pitta and really enjoyed it. Came for a Friday night date with my partner but my food was nowhere near as good. I had a falafel wrap but there was so much sauce in it that the pitta bread was already soggy and had fallen apart in the middle as soon as I unwrapped the foil. Made worse by the fact the yoghurt mixed with purple cabbage and there was purple liquid leaking everyone. On the plus side, it seems as though they make their pitta wraps from scratch and they are very nice. Just need to sort out the crazy over-saucing. The young lad working there also had a filthy t-shirt (maybe from deep frying, not sure!?) but that was off-putting as well. Such a shame after the first time being a good experience.
