Reviews of Atomic Burger
E. H.
Trip to Gloucester Road and needed somewhere for lunch that would appeal to the four year old - the decor at Atomic definitely fitted the bill! My Cluck Berry (Fried Chicken Burger topped with USA Cheese, Bacon, Buffalo Sauce & Blue Cheese Dressing) was tasty enough but I'm not sure it was worth the £14. Kid's hot dog had a small bun and an ENORMOUS sausage, frankfurter style - he seemed to enjoy it.
R. C.
Great veggie burger, great service that was quick and flexible about getting the burgers how we wanted them (slightly different from the menu).
Really nice experience and some fantastic fruity alcohol free beers (though these weren't listed on the menu). Meal cost about £20 including a burger, premium side and drink.

We battle through an hour of rush hour traffic from Bath to get here and it never fails to impress! We came over yesterday at 7pm for a table of four and the staff couldn’t of been more helpful! The service was fantastic and the food was as always mouth wateringly superb! Can’t wait to come back again!

Lovely burger joint! Very pleasant staff, delightful decor, lively interaction and a good menu. A very nice beef, but mediocre fried chicken burger - still tasty just not spectacular 8/10, likewise the milkshake portion a little less than I'm used to. A lovely ambiance and experience, would go back.

*Nostalgia Alert*
Atomic Burger does not disappoint on any front. From the delicious burgers to the awesome decorations which teleport you to a simpler time when we watched VHS tapes and played Sega and Atari. Even the tv is playing great oldies like “ songs from grease, physical and smooth”. Coming back for sure 😍
S. S.
The environment and style of the place was really nice and nostalgic. The burgers we order were overall delicious the patty and all the fixes were tasty , however the buns were a bit close (hopefully not past) their expiration date. Were basically crumbling away and becoming a soggy mess. If only they were fresh and capable of keeping shape, would've been a decent burger experience. The staff was really nice and helpful.
T. P.
Great atmosphere, great to see some of my old toys I had on the walls. Food is really good, got a kids menu as well.
H. G.
Ordered online and had Atomic delivered. It came really quickly and was very hot! It was really nicely packaged and everything travelled well! The pulled pork burger was amazing, the spiced fries were really good too! The prices are really reasonable too. I would definitely recommend Atomic!
D. c.
One of the best if not the best burger I've ever had, love the unique aesthetic of the place too. Defo will be back again recommend 10/10
L. B.
Food was outstanding!!
I ordered the Elvis burger and Texas dirty fries and would say it’s the best food I’ve had in Bristol!
The host was lovely and welcoming, always checking up on us to see if we wanted more drink and even brought us out a few jugs of water on this hot day!
Would definitely come here more often

If you enjoy quality homemade burgers made with fresh ingredients along side friendly, quick and helpful service then I believe Atomic Burger is the place for you.
A lovely nostalgic feel mixed with excellent food and good service. Thankyou to Doc who served me and ensured I was having a pleasant experience throughout. If I was you, I would definitely add Atomic Burger to a list of places in Bristol you need to visit!
N. M.
Fabulous food but my son was almost too engrossed in the gaming/film memorabilia to eat! 😄 Very interesting artefacts, friendly service, grandma also enjoyed. Will definitely re-visit.
N. G.
They are always friendly here. I booked a large group and asked if they wanted any sort of pre-order to help but they said that it would be fine on the night. When they took our orders the food was out quite fast. Its always fun trying to spot the different memorabilia on the walls and ceiling
i.
We arrived around 7 pm and it was quiet in the restaurant which was great. Place has wonderful decor and everything I looked at triggered a moment of nostalgia. Waitress was efficient and friendly. We orderded and waited about a solid 20 mins for the food. The food was phenomenal. Big portions and very tasty. Nice to get a cider too while the drivers in the group had delicious milkshakes. Expect to pay about 25 pounds pp.
L. S.
I’d highly recommend the staff were lovely the food was great can’t thank them enough great selection of foods and drinks great service thank you guys
P. W.
Great retro interior. Menu is reasonable although limited and we were served quickly and all cooked to order. Food was OK and reasonably priced.
C. W.
Never been. Had a vegan burger, spicy chips and nachos.
The burger was fantastic! I don't usually appreciate replacement meat products but they did a good job with flavours. Spicy/dirty chips also great!
Nachos weren't nachos with Mexican flavours. In fact the sauce was more italian- like marinara sauce with jalapeños; I just ate around the sauce. Perhaps if they called them pizza nachos I would've expected it and decided NOT to order nachos. Lol.
Overall, I will go again because there's a video game there to play and I'm interested to see what other yummy fast food they have!
Y. J.
A very good burger joint with a very nostalgic atmosphere full of comic, video games and star wars decor. Would definitely come back and I'd recommend this place.
N. F.
Visited on an empty Tuesday. Milk Shakes 5⭐, Burger 4⭐ bun seemed to crumble, Sweet potato fries 5⭐, price for 2 of us £35 which I think it's pretty steep so points deducted.
A. D.
Really tasty burgers and unique decor. Loved the nerdy names on the menu and the various collectable items about, and the service was really lovely, even on a quiet Sunday evening.
O. D.
Very chilled out with friendly staff. Had the 'Bad Attitude with 'Trailer park fries' which was huge and challenged me to finish! Totally delicious.
Deserts were quirky and yummy
S. M.
Absolute nostalgia fest. This place is obviously a labour of love. If you were a child of the 70s, 80s and 90s you will love it! It's almost like a museum to your childhood. Loads of toys and retro stuff like old Transformers wallpaper, old comics, VHS tapes and Toys everywhere. There's a retro Donkey Kong Arcade machine as well. Now onto the food. Awesome drinks and milkshakes, good beer selection. And the burgers! Wow! Really top notch cuts of beef with lots of different fillings. The fries are amazing as well. Much recommend the sci-fries! There is a crazy burgers challenge you can do as well. It is mountains of food. I don't know how the hell the top guy did it in 13 minutes! What a monster!! Anyway, everyone should come here! It's a must do if you are in Bristol.
J. C.
Incredible food. Cajun onion rings were phenomenal, the burger was sensational and the fries were scrumptious.
G. W.
We have been multiple times a year every single year since opening, however it's been on a downward trend. The food especially today was a sign of the changes, with thicker overcooked beef rather than the thinner medium cooked fresh patties Atomic were great at.
The fun sticker book menus when opening and the folding blue menus pre covid are now finally replaced with sticky sheets of white A4, laminated and looking like a greasy spoon cafe. The latest menu is very lacking in options too and it's sad to see.
I hope the owner is taking note, from a frequent visitor since Day 1 who's collected every sticker in the original book, through to now it's in a sorry way and I hope you're able to invest to get it back to the way it was, with a fun 80s retro vibe, good fresh food and a properly designed menu befitting of the restaurant.
K. D.
Brilliant atmosphere, attentive staff and fantastic food. What more can you ask for? The vegan Cactus Jack Burger was delicious. Highly recommended.
E. H.
I liked the build-your-own style of the menu and the Americana theme was cool. The sweet potato fries were a bit undercooked and soggy though. Also we tried 'The Freddie' which had some lime pickle that overpowered everything else.
I. C.
Hit the spot! I just had the All American Hero with Sci-Fries and the better half had the Cluck Berry, also with Sci-Fries. Both were decent-sized, tasty burgers and the fries didn’t disappoint. Collected 15mins after the order was placed and demolished soon after. For £26, we’re happy with the ROI.
M.
Decor is not to everyone's taste, but only really matters if your eating the wallpaper the food delivers on every level. Nothing gourmet 5 star dining about it and it doesn't pretend to be, its simple burger and dirty fries and is next level tasty. Highly recommended this place. My personal favourite was the pulled pork dirty fries. The cocktails are pretty good too. Also excellent customer service. Servers are very attentive and look after you well.
B. R.
The food was great... Lots of choice... Friendly staff... We spent our time trying to see what little hidden nuggets of collectibles we could see stashed around the place... I've marked them down to 4 because I do think it was a little expensive... Don't get me wrong... They weren't small portions... Also, the decor was a little tired... Oh... And they need more transformers... I could have forgiven all the above if they had more transformers.
S.
Amazing atmosphere. Felt like I was a kid again. The burgers were among the best I've ever tasted 👌🏻
A. K.
Let me start by saying sorry for the photo, the food comes out and you just want to tuck in, so you just got an onion ring 😊😂
This is by far the the best place for a burger and even a hotdog. The service is great, the chap who served us was friendly, very happy and certainly knew his cartoon characters 😊 which may I add is all around you and you can't help look at every toy and poster and name what you can. I totally loved the decor especially the VHS feature.
If you love looking back at your childhood TV characters whilst eating a burger then this is the place to go ❤️🍔
C. A.
Fantastic, tasty food, with a joyous theme and decorations, always something to look at. And where else will play Britney, then Bonnie Tyler followed by the Stingray theme. Big reccomend.
A. B.
The burgers are fabulous, went there for the first time amazed by the inside very retro and 'nerdy'.
Staff very friendly. Go there folks is a nice place ! :)
D. G.
Good value and everyone finished the lot. The veggie (vegan) burger was excellent and the Sci Fries (chips with spicy seasoning) super tasty. The regular burgers were also brilliant according to the rest of the family. Good 80's theme going with the music TV and lots of Sci-Fi things to notice as you eat. They even have Thunderbirds wallpaper in the ladies loo. TMNT in the boy's. As Arnie would have said (ish) "We'll be back!"
S. A.
The best takeaway burgers during this weird time!! The fries were also very tasty and crunchy even after the delivery. Highly recommended!
C. R.
Amazing staff, great service, really really incredible surroundings and decor. Milkshake was disappointing and lacking oomph but the fries were delicious and the burger was good. Pricey but worth it for a treat. Looking forward to seeing the new menu soon!
C. R.
A great burger place with quick and friendly service. The milk shakes are also fantastic, but the onion rings are next level you have to try them to truly appreciate their greatness.
A 5 out 5.
B. P.
Stunning burger 🍔. Great atmosphere with amazing service. A big fan of the venue with lots of retro memorabilia and models from 80s music, tv and movies.
Definitely recommend to anybody wanting to try something different but wanting too quality food.
K. D.
fun decor. plenty of options in burgers for all. good portion size. quick and courteous service. would definitely go again.
r. s.
Food was amazing. Staff very friendly. Decoration is amazing. Will be back soon!!
R. E.
Friendly happy staff, great atmosphere and great food, we left happy 👍decorated amazingly
C. B.
Awesome atmosphere and decor, friendly and helpful staff, and the dead Elvis burger was really great and filling.
S. A.
Love the burgers and so much choice. Also the retro 80s toys that fill the ceiling bring back memories. Very friendly staff.
R. R.
Jolly little cantina, food was cooked to our specific tastes, bit pricey but in comparison with other local eateries - probably average? The interior has a sci-fi theme, playing 80's music 😎 we arrived on a very warm day - this foodery has no air con, what could have been 4 🌟 is only 3, high praise for the staff, kept smiling throughout.
M. B.
Great service. They are excellent with recommendations when you ask. Good price for the quality. Atmosphere reminded me of my childhood which was awesome.
H. M.
Atomic Burger is hand's down my son's favourite restaurant. I like it too - the burgers are reliably plentiful with a good range to choose from. The staff are always lovely, and we have a great time looking at the cool retro decorations. We'll be back soon 🙂
I. H.
Lovely staff, nice ambiance, perfect burgers
n. h.
Fun and friendly place so much cool stuff to look at
Food was amazing full of flavour
Staff were friendly and helpful
Would recommend
M. J.
Yeah ! Very nice place - the decoration is awesome ! And the Food is great too. If you are close - Go There !
I. W.
I've been to many gourmet burger places in my life, the lovely and friendly staff here were able to provide me with the best side of fries I've ever had at such an establishment. Unfortunately the burger itself was nothing more then standard for similar places. Unique selection of beer though which is always nice! Not to mention the theming and aesthetics of the place were beautifully on point!
T. D.
We've been here many times as a family of 5. Great experience tonight. Delicious food, attentive staff who seemed happy and were warm and friendly. As always, a great atmosphere to boot. Highly recommended.
S. B.
Came here this evening as a family of 6, the decor is amazing and happily kept 4 autistic children and two 80s kids entertained the entire stay, you’ll never run out of references or old toys you remember to look at! The service was absolutely amazing, Doc greeted us and mainly served us, he was so polite and really funny, Frank helped serve us, really cordial and professional, and Anna was super sweet and complimented my mother, which always earns kudos! She said she was new, but you never would have guessed, she did an amazing job. The food was impeccable, I had the the Johnny B Bad, and it was the best burger I’ve had in years, the milkshakes were amazing (even the bacon one, apparently), and by this point, the whole experience was so nice I was surprised that the food was as good as it was. McKenzie, you’ve got great staff, you manage your restaurant really well, and thank you for having us, it won’t be soon forgotten!
B. D.
Very good burgers and nice service. Not the cheapest option but worth the cost. Great decor. Parking in road and right next to bus stop.
V. H.
My husband and I really enjoyed our visit today. Everybody from the staff were really kind and the service was incredibly fast!
I have a wheat intolerance and they have gluten free buns that don't break! The food was very good and the rosemary fries were simply amazing!
The decoration is fantastic, it brought back so many memories!
Totally recommend it! We will come back for sure to try the deserts and milkshakes! :)
Thank you!
g. m.
Brilliant service,Brilliant food,awesome decor. So good 👍
A. G.
Caters for gluten and dairy allergies, large portions, nachos, friendly staff and the decor is a great place to geek out.
C. W.
Awesome food, fantastic decorations and boss staff. What more could you ask for.
R. M.
I had a burger and chips, but this restaurant turned that into a simply perfect meal.
The decor and staff were also excellent so 5/5 with hesitation
A. L.
Delicious milkshakes and the burgers are epic!
K. P.
Best gluten free bun... Fantastic burger selection. Can be very busy which makes service a little slow but be patient, the burger will be worth the wait.
K. P.
Took my son and a whole bunch of his uncles, aunties and cousins here to celebrate his birthday. An excellent time, as always, and the staff made quite an effort to make it feel special. So many thanks for a cracking birthday party!
A.
-Great overall 😎
-Delicious 😋 burgers 🍔 (Messy Jessy - Vegetarian)
-Friendly staff
-Funky
-Awesome decor

So….one thing I think I know a lot about is chilli….especially after living in Thailand. I asked for stupidly spicy chicken wings and I got the spiciest wings I’ve ever had….BUT….they were also incredibly tasty!
If you like chilli. This is one in a million
D. I.
Amazing food, staff couldn't do enough for you and it didn't cost an arm and a leg
J. C.
What can I say? My favourite burger joint in Bristol! Staff are amazing and kind and the food is to die for!
B. B.
Fresh, tasty burgers with great customer service. Lots of options to mix and match fillings!
T. C.
Good food, and lots of it so don't over-order unless you want a doggie bag to take home!
D. G.
Love this place. I love the burger selection and fun combinations. The toilets are a bit teeny tiny though.
A. R. G.
We tried this place for the first time last week and we were delighted. We ordered the Daisy and All american hero and can't decide which one we loved the most. The meat was juicy and super tasty, the buns were amazing and the rest of ingredientes fresh and of great quality. These are now our favourite burgers in Bristol!
A. W.
Great place. Went with a party of 12 and still everything came at once, the orders were all correct and the food was great!
The overall theme is it a totally cool, retro comic/nerd decorated haven. Also if it's your birthday and you can prove it with Id, your meal of free!
Am definitely going again to try more things on their menu which acomodates for almost any type of preference.
P. 8.
Really quirky with a retro vibe. It was great showing the kids the tech and toys we had at their age. Extreamly friendly staff who were very accommodating. Top service. American style food cooked to perfection. The burgers were super juicy and the dirty fries were lush. The oreo freakshakes went down really well. Very reasonably priced. We stopped off on a whim after a quick Google while travelling back from London to South Wales but would definitely make the journey back to visit again.
J. B.
Fast service and friendly staff, and the food was delicious! Will be visiting again the next time i come to Bristol!
E. H.
Yummy yummy food with friendly staff and great atmosphere.
A. B.
I went to Atomic Burger recently with a large(ish) group, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Service was spot on. Food was great and delivered quickly after ordering. Looking forward to returning soon.
S. W.
Love this place. Quirky with a sci-fi theme toy and memorablia collection that will take any child of the 70s and 80s on a nostalgia Trip. It's a burger and hotdog joint and it does that very well. Large portions good quality and great service. Prices are the going rate for decent burgers but If I am being picky the drinks are a bit expensive and I am not keen on the school dinner trays. The Covid related app service worked very well and my kids enjoyed order their own. We have been a few times and its well worth a visit
r. b.
We happened to be in the bristol area and after having last visited Atomic burger just before lockdown in march last year, we couldn't resist the 10 minute detour to grab a burger before our trip home.
The food at Atomic burger is amazing, fantastic flavours and more-than-filling portions offering an amazing value for money.
However it does have to be said that what happens to outshine the food is the service. On both our visits we have received some of the best service from the some of the most friendly staff.
On this occasion the staff even went out of their way to decorate our milkshakes with hearts after mentioning our recent engagement in passing. Such a nice and unexpected gesture that just improved overall experience substatially.
We'll be sure to visit again whenever we next end up in bristol!
L.
Food is good, nostalgic atmosphere. Gutted they don’t do the hot wings challenge anymore.
N. R.
Great, quick and friendly service. Large portions. Very accommodating. Delicious food.
A. B.
Great service, great atmosphere, great burgers.
A. S.
Those burgers will fulfill your expectation. They are amazing all the time. What's not that amazing is the interior design, it is not as tasty as those burgers. It deserves a bit of tasty hand. I think you could do better. As well your bathroom could be cleaner. And staff could be a bit more faster. All over it is nice meal for a fair price with amusing service. I have enjoyed the time spent in there and my belly was satisfied too.
L. (.
We booked here for a birthday meal as had heard good things and we were not disappointed! The staff were lovely and helpful and It's a quirky cool place to come for a banging burger with loads of yummy sides to choose from!
Fab menu with a wide variety of options for meat eaters and veggies alike. Everyone loved the food and it's really reasonably priced. We'll be back for sure!
G. R.
SO impressed with this place, food is always fresh, great atmosphere, etc but they excelled themselves today. The waitress let my kids have a table to themselves, was far more buoyant than I could muster ... at my request didn't allow shakes until after food, and reassured me about allergy risk by showing their impressive peanutty-equipment-separation ... including separated blending arms and beakers for any peanut drinks. I would never normally dream of eating burgers, but this is a brilliant place... And the kids loved their shakes too!
T. P.
Staff went above and beyond to cater to our dietary needs, had a fantastic meal. Place is really awesome themed. Would recommend.
J. H.
Greatest choice of burgers in Bristol. And there is a lot of competition out there.
The restaurant is amazing the classic 90s tracks playing on the to and every thing from buck Rodgers to the teen age mutant ninja turtles.
The staff are fun and helpful.
The price is good and the portions are ample.
Can't fault the place......other than, bring back the Flaming gargle blaster cocktail 😀
A. M.
I can't remember if it was last weekend or the weekend before last that I visited. Regardless really enjoyed my visit, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the interior of the restaurant is really nicely done with a retro theme. I had been meaning to visit for a long time, really enjoyed my stop and would definitely like to try some of the milkshakes next time as they looked really impressive. Have a great weekend and best wishes for the future. Kind Regards, Alex.
D. P.
Good food. In a cool venue. Nice staff.
Service a little slow..but they were very nice. The food was good. Nothing at all wrong with it...just nothing to write home about...not with the huge amount of burgers places in Bristol already. You really need to be something special to stand out. However. I would go again as the food was tasty and reasonably priced. I had a good experience. Just not an amazing one 😊😊😊
S. S.
We went for our first family meal out since lockdown. The staff brilliant (especially Ed), really helpful & friendly and made us feel so welcome. The place was spotless, the food was served quickly and was delicious. All in all a great trip out & 4 happy dinners. Thank you!
R. R.
Nice atmosphere and good was good. Table of 8 and we all got our food together and pretty quickly. service was great - staff here are very attentive without being over intrusive. More restaurants need waiting staff like they have here! I've given 4 stars not five because of my only gripe: air conditioning. Or lack of it! It was sweltering in there. It was a hot day and we ended up sitting outside waiting for our food as it was just too hot in there.
H. S.
Absolutely love this place!
As someone who loves big weird meaty cheesy creations having free reign to design my burger was a dream come true.
The only complaint I have is not knowing what to choose because it all looked amazing!
N. J.
Nostalgia is incredible with all the retro memorabilia everywhere!! Staff are great. The food is expensive for what it is is though, with so many places doing good burgers these days they really can't warrant the prices the charge for what are now mediocre burgers.... £15 for a double patty burger with fries. I had the Jolene burger, it wasn't a combination of flavours in every bite. You get the meat taste, with a hit of a chilli whenever you get one.... Really wasn't worth £15. You've got places nearby that do incredible tasting high quality burgers combinations with fries for £9.99. Drinks wise: 330ml cans of beer are £4.50, glass bottle of Coke is £2.75
N. T.
Update.
Obviously not the same experience as my last visit due to these trying times but I'm gonna have to drop a star.
The service was still excellent, & the covid workarounds ref ordering etc were adequate, but the food, wasn't just that great taste wise compared to last time & was little overdone ref the patty & bacon for a few of us. It was such a drop, that I want to remove 2 stars, but based on the strength of my last visit & covid shenanigans, I'm prepared to leave it at 4.
Hopefully my next visit(yes I will visit again, no doubt)in more normal times will see a return to the standard I first experienced.

Perfect burger place for geeks young & old with a fantastic range of burgers & toppings.
Staff are friendly, fun & the service is on point. Can get a little busy & orders can start to take their time to get to you the more the place fills up, just as well there is so much to look at & take in on the walls & ceilings to kill the time.
Little geeky gem of a place. Not my favourite burger "taste" to eat at, but my fav burger place to actually eat in due to all of the above.
C. F.
This place is so much fun. Great decor and the burgers are huge (and tasty). We really wanted a milkshake but the burgers destroyed us. Did have to send my chips back cos they were a bit cold but they happily came back with a fresh plate and were really nice about it. Definitely coming back.
c. d.
Food was amazin i will be going there again for sure and the onion rings are massive and the sifrys are spicy to some but so good
C. B.
Good burgers and friendly service in a diner filled with 80s kids toys. Good fun.
S.
We went here for father's day and I am happy to report it was one of the best burger places I have ever been to. I built my own burger and it was stunning when it came out. Perfectly cooked and well presented. I loved the prices too. Places like this usually make you pay for everything separately but here it was all included and was still less than £13. I adored the hippy fries. Whoever thought to put garlic and rosemary on fries is a genius.
If you want awesome food, great service and memory lane provoking decor then this is the go to place. Thanks for an Atomic experience
J. B.
Visited Atomic Burger on a Thursday evening around 6.45pm. It was very busy and many people had reserved tables but the waitress was helpful and we managed to get a table outside straight away (thankfully it was sunny and one was free; also there are only two tables outside!).
The food was really great. Our group of 4 had a mix of some veggie and non veggie options and they were all well cooked, good quality and nicely presented. The taste was yum yum yum. The milkshakes were also very good! The waitresses were lovely too, attentive enough without coming over all the time. It was also nice not to be forgotten about while sitting outside!
I will be certainly returning again but I will probably book a table before hand as I think we were lucky to get a table on this occasion!
Thank you all at Atomic Burger for a great dinner!
B.
Amazing starters, and of course, great burgers.
B. S.
Great food, but at a price. The staff always come across as very friendly and always happy to offer assistance. Very family friendly (meaning at certain points during the day it can get a bit manic) but also ideal for adults only. Vegan/vegetarian menus are very passable but could do with a few more option. This place has a very unique feel and your inner geek will be more than satisfied with the amazing style.
S. C.
Good burgers! And a trip down memory lane, seeing all the toys and pop culture from my childhood. You can walk up and see if they have a table free, but I would recommend booking before hand.
A. “. T.
The food was good and the atmosphere was nice despite the place being packed, you could still carry a conversation without fighting the noise. But sadly the service was really bad.
I could see they were busy so some slack is given but while we were seated quickly it took 15mins and some pro- active signalling to have our orders taken with no drinks order taken before that. Food for 3 people with only 1 having alterations took nearly half a hour to arrive. And when the food arrived and one of our party wanted a second drink it ended up being completely missed by our server, luckily we weren't charged for a drink that didn't arrive.
I enjoyed my food some members of my table were disappointed with theirs but I can't hold that against the place as I didn't taste their burgers only mine.
Might be nicer if you avoid Friday evening or if they get extra cover for full house shifts but I will say my group are going to try elsewhere before we come back here.
C. M.
Best burger restaurant I’ve ever been too - keep going back again and again! There is a huge selection of toppings and fries and the place has a great sci Fi theme with all the decal and layout.
Free mains too if it’s your birthday!
S. D.
Fantastic venue and delicious food! The walls and ceiling is covered with comic book memorabilia and other knick knacks. They do really good-sized portions so it's the perfect place to eat after exploring Gloucester Road. Staff are friendly and music is straight from the 80s which goes with the theme. Loved it.
M. T.
Love this place. The only complaint is the fries are always cold, everythime I've been there they are cold. As far as I'm concerned the best burger around and the decor is epic. A must visit
After lockdown went again. I'm sorry to say the burgers are not what they used to be. Due to complaints they now cook the burgers till they are dry ish, it was so much better when they were pink in the middle. Don't get me wrong they are still nice but not as good as before. Also the fries are still cold 🥶,
Please add and option to have them the old way.

Best burger in town!
Move over other burger places, this place is the boss now! Atomic Burger have everything summed up: great and quick service, amazing taste in their burgers and a huge array of toppings to choose from. We love going here, we've been 4 times now and have never had a bad experience. For most appetites a single stack burger is enough with trailer park fries. Those fries are delicious.
m.
Great burger joint! Lots of options including vegetarian, gluten free etc- pretty decent food in all. Staff were outstanding, really attentive without being intrusive, really lovely and relaxed dining experience.......apart from the heat! That would be my only gripe, it's just too warm in there! X
G. D.
I would say this is one of the better burger places in Bristol. Lovely dirty fries and a juicy well made burger. Great choices also and a fun place to take my family as well. Whilst there is fierce competition - they stand out to me in a sea of similar outlets.
J. H.
Great food and very friendly staff but the decor is the show stealer. 100% recommend going here
V. H.
Cool place. Lush food. Great decor
A. M.
Place is amazing. Vegan burger was delicious, huge amount of fries, onion rings the size of hoola hoops (I exaggerate a touch) milkshakes were epic and the birthday boy ate for free (remember your birth cert or drivers license!) Another good sign was the amount of Deliveroo orders coming through... couldn't fault a thing! Will be back!
S. C.
It was OK, my food was average, to sloppy for my liking
M. P.
Food and drink lovely I always like see the simpsons
P. G.
Really good friendly little burger place selling a cool selection of burgers and similar items. Nachos and wings to start both excellent and the burgers we had also really tasty. Service attentive without being in your face and no sense of being rushed which i like. Cool place.
M. B.
First time here, came during very quiet hours. Staff friendly, explained the menu. Food very tasty, good sized portions, lots of options. milkshake so nice. For a burger, side and drink you'd pay about £15-18 per head so pretty reasonable.
P. J.
This is an epically nerdy restaurant with equally epic food and staff. Our server was polite and upbeat, and was really great with our baby. The food arrived quickly despite the place being packed, and tasted amazing.
My highlight has to be the diorama hanging over out table though; Iron Man in Thunderbird 3 being attacked by a giant Popeye the sailor man.
A great evening out, we'll be going again!
G. L.
Amazing place that takes me back to the toys and TV of my youth grate food and very nice staff.
Thank you guys
S. U.
Came here a year ago and was amazed by the interior decor. So many things that I love in the same place! Sat facing a Buffy The Vampire Slayer who was stuck on the wall and as a Bowie fan ordered the Ziggy Stardust pizza. The staff were super friendly and easy going and immediately before I left I spoke to the manager to see if they had jobs available since I absolutely loved it there and seemed like a great place to work. Came back today and was shocked to see it had been shut. Such a shame :( but still, I will check out the other one in Bristol since the experience will probably be equally satisfactory.
B. C.
Massive burgers, good vibe,if you like burgers this is the place to come
K. P.
I love this place, I could sit here all day looking at the decor, but the food is amazing too. You may struggle to finish your portion. If you are a scifi nerd this is definitely the place for you. There is a definite 80s feel going on with retro music videos on the big screen, the counter surrounded by VHS tapes and the wall murals depicting well known characters from all your favourite TV shows. Take your children, they will love it.
A. K.
Staff really pleasant and accomodating for dietary and allergen requirements. Quick and efficient service with great food! Looking forward to coming back!
P. W.
One of the best burgers you can get in bristol. There is a reason this place is so popular! Highly recommend booking as it can get full even on a normal week day. Especially good for kids, the decor is all comic book style and is good fun. Service is also great and very friendly.
r. b.
OMG delicious food. Drinks are a little expensive, but food quality and price definitely make up for it.
You can pick from a selection of burgers, from the normal fillings to things you'd never consider putting in a burger, or make your own, also a selection of toppings for your fries.
Only real downfall is they're often busy and full, so either book a table in advance or phone before you go to ensure they have space.
(They also do take away if they are full)
N. D.
Great place to grab a unique burger and even experience. Can get very busy but that is just a sign of its popularity. Sci fries are the best! Does a great take-away too if you fancy a night in.
j. 9.
Great burgers, nice that you can have them all as veggie burgers. I had the Johnny Storm and it was HOT but extremely tasty. Only negative I can think of is the price, £12 for a meal consisting of a regular sized burger and fries seems quite expensive compared to some competitors.
M. H.
Amazing burger and the fries were unreal! Definitely recommend. Eaten in the restaurant and the service was great, very friendly staff and I’ve ordered a delivery from them and still tasted so good.
M. S.
I went in there and the guy serving was lovely. Attentive but laid back enough to talk to. I order the Chuck Norris burger and it was delicious. Side chips ordweed for the meal was very nice as well. Loved the milkshake.
My only downfall with the meal would be the thickness in the way the chips are sauced or what they add. I really wanted to finish the meal
M. W.
Great burgers and fries and many choices
S. M.
Delicious burgers, fries and milkshakes. Really friendly and helpful staff. Heavily themed with 80s/90s memories for a healthy dose of nostalgia while you eat. Very family friendly. If I wasn't currently trying to eat more healthy, I'd take up permanent residence here 😂
R. W.
Oh my god I've been here so many times and I always love the burgers!!! They're like the best burger place in town! The staff are always really friendly aswell! oh and I recommend the marshmallow thing I can't remember what it's called but you get a mini campfire and stuff it's really cool!
S. M. (.
A cracking little place, with epic cheesy decor that takes me back to some classic shows from the 70’s to the 90's.. but the key factor is the food, love the burgers I've had and the milkshakes are wonderful. Staff are friendly, and the service I have had, was great. Very much recommended but it can get busy.
R. S.
Great food, fantastic staff and lovely atmosphere. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that it was a wee bit over priced. Otherwise excellent!
J. W.
Awesome burgers with friendly staff and, for the volume of food you get I would say it's fairly priced. My only criticism would be the relative complacency of the place with its 'man vs food' + geek chique vibe.
Been a number of times with friends and can highly recommend the spicy sauce, really tasty and a good level of heat.
Definitely going again, asap.
Ps: the looms are brill
A. H.
I waited ages to finally get here and it was worth the wait. I'll be visiting again next time I'm in Bristol.
Great Burgers. Great staff, Great decor. Nothing really else to say. Absolutely fabulous.
J. R.
Gosh damn what a cool place, I'm so glad I was wearing my marvel jumper, i really fitted in well 👍🏻 also the food was incredible, great menu system, great staff, incredible food. I had the BA, yummo!
Great "cheat meal" but wouldn't recommend eating regularly if you want to live until you're 80
T. D.
The décor of the restaurant is very quirky, lots of movie and tv memorabilia adorn the walls and ceilings, though it doesn't look tacky. Service was good, drinks served quickly (Thatchers Cider and Sam Adams Boston beer, yeah!) and food was in front of our noses less than 15 mins after ordering. I had the 'Jake & Elwood' Burger, which was a beef patty with Bacon, Blue cheese and fried onions, came with a side of very tasty fries, I recommend the mayo they have with the condiments, went very nice with said fries. My only complaint was there was very little blue cheese, the taste was quite subtle, I like in smothered, though that's just my own personal taste, other than that a very enjoyable lunch.
A. W.
Amazing burgers in a very cool retro environment. Service is brilliant.
K. K.
Brilliant experience! Friendly staff, enough choice and decor is wildly retro nerd. Probably not a daily place, but great fir special occasions. Small outside out front with less leg room, but nice if you like that. Street can obv be a bit fumey. Toxic sign hanging outside on nearby post detracts from the otherwise positive atmosphere. Would certainly visit again! 👍👍👍
A. W.
Amazing meal at atomic burger today, big thankyou to Steven and his team who made us feel comfortable and welcome.
Would highly Reccomend the elvis burger and the halumi fries are amazing.
Thanks again x
D. E.
Atmosphere and decor are fantastic. Food was great and service was quick and friendly. If I had to be picky burger wasn't cooked the way I asked. Food still amazing
L. B.
This place is great. Great food, really tasty. The baconator milkshake is out of this world. It's amazing. A really fun place. Unfortunately, they recently downsized their options which left the variation less exciting than before but it's still good. The food isn't cheap but it feels worth both on account of being substantial, as well as delicious.
K. W.
Disappointment after visiting the Atomic Diner. Same burger menu, much worse food quality. Fries were soggy as if waiting on the plate for the burger to be ready. Uncle Sam - safe option, great in both places.
Not much space. Worth making a reservation if you decide to visit anyway.
D. M.
I know what you’re thinking. Of all the burger joints in all the world, which one is Dazza’s favourite? It’s this one.
Not only are the burgers proper delicious, but the service is great place looks really cool.
I can also confirm that every burger that I’ve had here is stuffed full of atoms. So the name is very accurate.
A. P.
I really loved the food here, but the only minus was the fact that the toilets are dated and the decor is niche. But I believe that is part of the charm of this eatery. Would recommend the trailer park fries. Word of advice the portions are very filling!
A. K.
An ace place. Gorgeous grub, albeit a bit pricey. Lovely guy serving. The retro theme is fascinating!! The medium rare burger was delicious, a rare treat. 😋😅😊
J. C.
What a place. The restaurant itself is always a talking point love it or hate it it's defintely unique.
The food is in large proportions and they offer an extreme heat burger challenge for those who dare to try it. (P.s. i would not).
The quality of the food is good and the taste is great. I recommend the cajin fries and ask them to mix them with rosemary for decadance of the highest order.
The burgers are super stacked and a little daunting to eat, but the range of toppings extend far abd wide and you can make the sort of burder you want meat, vege and vegan for which way you are inclined.
The value for money isn't insane, it's what you would expect from the location but the overall experience i gained from going there covers the bill.
D. H.
Great retro diner. Hearty burger menu. Food was great and attentive, engaging service.
M. E.
Very friendly and attentive servers here. It was a good experience. The food is very good and the portion sizes are perfect. The beer and other drinks are maybe a little highly priced for me.
B. P.
Great burgers worth lots of veggie and vegan options. The hippie fries are amazing. The decoration inside is also great, lots of game themed toys and retro arcade stuff
P. B.
Great burgers but felt overpriced. Just over £50 for 2 adults and 2 kids, we had burgers with chips and the kids ate off the children's menu. Awesome decor though! Worth a ine off trip.
S. B.
Really great food. Even better customer service. One of the nicest burger bars in Bristol. Quick service, food is always good, and all done with a smile and a friendly chat. Deffo 5 stars.
J. B.
Great place for a burger.
Their different combinations will keep you entertained.
The place is very retro with a lot of memorabilia that will take you back.
The staff are nice and friendly, and are happy to give suggestions and recommendations.
J. G.
First time here, I had the October special 'heisen-burger' and the other half had one of the veggie options.
The décor is very fun and the staff friendly. We felt the 30 minute wait was a little excessive seeing that there weren't many people in the place.
The burgers were great and the trailer park fries were very nice.
S. A.
Burgers are always fantastic and there is so much choice. Staff are always super friendly and we love reminiscing about our childhoods looking at all the cool memorabilia.
P.
Banging veggie burgers and chips, super nice atmosphere. We turned up unbooked and it was packed out but the waiter went out of his way to accomodate us, and the rest of the staff were super friendly ! We’ll be back soon :)
C. F.
Wicked food! Great value and wonderful staff, Iona and Connie are brilliant! Decor is amazing. X
E. H.
As always I booked a table, this time for four, and found it busy when arriving. That didn't matter to the staff who were as polite as normal. Food and drink was ordered and it arrived exactly as asked for... and delicious too!
Must be my sixth visit and I'm still finding bits of memorobilia that I'm sure wasn't there before. If you can rember the 70's and 80's then your gonna remember lots just by looking at the walls and ceilings... not forgetting the VHS tapes that wrap around the counter.
B. L.
Great places for kids or nostalgic adults - burgers and milkshakes are decent!
E. K.
Simply tasty!
I had lovely burger and fries!
Everything tasted good, well seasoned and cooked.
One think. Coca Cola wasn't chilled.
But apart that little thing everything was just superb!
Thanks x
Eve
S. M.
Really great retro theme burger joint with arcade games! The burgers all have fun names, and there are so many to choose from. Make sure you get a milkshake as well, they are delicious!
T. S.
Amazing selection of burgers and sides, made with top quality ingredients. Surprisingly good choice of beverages as well. Desserts look very tempting but frankly after you've had a main course (even with a regular as opposed to a 'super' side), you've got no room for it. Quirky comic book/sci-fi/action movie theme going on and friendly staff every time I've been there.
If you go in on your birthday (bring some ID), you'll get a free main course but if you need to book a table for a handful or more, book well in advance to maximise the chance of them being able to accommodate you.
T. h. h.
Food was very tasty and delicious and came very quick. Staff very friendl and helpful. Would definitely recommend
A. C.
Pros: really cool decor. Polite and nice staff. Fun place
Cons: Very pricey (about £16 for a burger, chips and a soft drink )
Burgers were average
Chips were soaked in oil
K. H.
Food was a real let down and it left all three of the party with a bad stomach for the next 24 hours. There's so many burger bars around and they all taste average to amazing, this burger was one of the worst I've had in a while. They said due to some health and safety they can't do medium rare. Think everyone's burger was pretty well done. Interestingly enough everyone still suffered.
M. H.
My family and I went out for my son's birthday. We loved the decor and the food, all good! Burgers were a little tricky to eat but the knife and fork helped out there :-)
k. f.
Loved it here, very busy Saturday night and got served really quickly. Chef was polite even though she was flustered and all the wait staff couldn't have been better. The decor is on point
J. L.
Theres a lot to love about atomic burger with their wild decor, comic strip menus and super friendly staff but the burgers themselves don't live up to the hype. With so many places now offering incredible burgers, these guys might just need to up their game a bit now. it feels like atomic burger rely heavily on ramming the bun full of sauces and other random toppings to get away with serving a pretty average patty.
K. B.
i love the decor so much only lost a star because the spicy fries were barely spicy and they charged extra for the sirachia i asked to go with (they do say on the menu it's extra btw I'm just unobservant) only docking because the fries were not spicy at all without the sauce
J. O.
Ordered uncle sam and shake it was absolutely amazing
m. h.
I would say it was more like a 3 and a half out of 5. The service was good but we were the only table in there the burgers came out very quickly the staff knew what they were doing told us everything we need to know and explained it well I did have a habit of asking about from was ok both members of staff after the same thing slightly annoying. I will personally say everything was under seasoned just needed salt everything was a good standard but the flavour wasn't quite there the onion rings definitely and 9/10. I would like to say the Wookie Sunday would also be a 9/10 very very good if I was nearby I would go again but won't make a special trip.
T. M.
Nice retro geek atmosphere, tasty burger. Patty could have been a bit thicker for an even jucier burger. They crammed so many tables in too but im not sure if thats good or bad. They do take reservations which are recommended.
L. C.
Lovely burger, great surroundings, friendly staff and a great choice of beer, what more could you want?
D. G.
Great burgers in a very charismatic place
J. G.
Firstly I want to say we were a very large group of just under 20 people. We had pre-booked over a week in advance so wasn't expecting too many complications. I had to push our booking back by 45minutes on the day, so whether that is my fault I do not know but want to give some honest feedback. Most of our group arrived on time and our table was waiting for us. I had been earlier on to drop off a cake for them to present and it was quite busy but food and drinks were flying out of kitchen. 10minutes past and the rest of our group arrived. We wondered why we hadn't been asked for drinks yet but suspected they some sort of system in place. 20minutes in we got our drinks order in and were informed they had run out of chicken wings. That was devastating news to hear for many as we had specifically been looking forward to them.
Around half our group ordered milkshakes and the other beer. 45 minutes from arrival and nothing on the table and no staff explaining. They had other couples and smaller tables being served pretty readily some done and out by the time we got our first drinks. Not sure why they couldn't bring the beers out for half an hour I don't think anyone was expecting it to all come out together (in fact I was told when booking the food would likely come out when ready.) But we placed trust that there was some sort of reason for it. Eventually a member of staff came over and blamed the multiple milkshakes for holding up our order... Didn't explain why he didn't take our food order, why beers weren't arriving, not even table water. We were all too tired and sluggish from doing some sports earlier to take the initiative and kick up a fuss. I believe it was 50 minutes since arriving and the drinks finally arrived and we were ordering food. It had been so long that some of us had forgotten what they wanted. We were famished and so ordered starters for the table with our mains.
Another half hour past and we were getting our staters. Eventually, and all at once, our meals came out of the kitchen. Now it wasn't through staff being rude, quite the contrary, but information was little to none. During he whole time and I think a customer (especially a British, stiff upper lipped one!) Expects things to happen in a certain way at a restaurant and when it doesn't happen in a timely fashion you are trusting the restaurant has well and good system in place for large groups or a good reason to inform us what is going on behind closed doors so that we can at least know what to expect.
The atmosphere is great, the food great, with no complaints from any of the diners in the group. I just want to feedback to inform you the situation with which we were faced and that it simply should not happen. Luckily our group saw the humour in it and were along for the ride but it somewhat marred the night waiting 2 hours to eat with the pubs mostly past last orders by the time we were done and paid up.
I don't want to put off any single, couples or small groups from this fantastic restaurant but I am annoyed the system in place for large groups is so exceedingly bad. From lack of popular dishes, going against what was expected where drinks and food just coming out when ready, glassware mounting up and not being collected... It was not like there wasn't at least maybe 3 floor staff that I had seen evening. I've taken the time to unload this in the hope that whatever happens doesn't happen in future. Large groups giving negative reviews either word or mouth or via social media can cripple an independent business and I would be very sad to see this particular restaurant go (I was devastated Atomic Diner closed last year!) Sorry for the essay but hope this in some way helps. J
J. M.
Very good food. Lots of vegetarian options. I think it is a small bit overpriced but the family love it so we still go once in a while. Might end up going more of f the prices were just a bit lower.
S. J.
Love this place, great burgers (you can build your own) and monster shakes surrounded by 80s childhood nostalgia everywhere you look! Service is friendly and prices are reasonable too.
K.
One of the best burgers in Bristol, their Veggie options are amazing aswell. The staff are really chatty and friendly. Never disappoints and would recommend visiting!
J. T.
Great food and nice selection of IPAs
N. F.
Great food with great service. And the decor is amazing too!
l. b.
Visited on Saturday, busy day, great service, great food and Doc was very down to earth and Kind, went the extra mile to provide great service to all the customers
A.
Really good food and incredible retro scenery
P. R.
Went here for a friend's birthday. Its theme is 80/90 memorabilia.
I had the Messy Jessie, which was goats cheese, red onion marmalade and rocket on a beef burger. Unfortunately I found the goats cheese overpowered it and I couldn't taste the rocket or the burger which was a shame. Perhaps this could have been improved by using only half the goats cheese. The Sci Fries were Fries seasoned with chilli and salt. I found them a bit too salty, but then I don't have much salty food any ways.
The service was good and my friends enjoyed the drinks (I was driving, so stuck to coke).
I would come here again if I was in the area.
A. P.
Love this place; Good burgers, funky atmosphere and great service. Try the dark matter house beer which pairs with the burgers fantastically.
D. P.
Ate 'til I could barely move. Fun retro nostalgia.
E. R.
Fun themed restaurant, had a good time remembering old times
N. N.
Really really loved this place. Food excellent if u like burgers that is. At the mo this is my favourite place for burgers. I loved the toy theme so if u were on a first date it would definatly start the conversations.
J. J.
Lots to like bit slow on the cooking side, bit pricey compared to some others.
But they are worth a shout for a spicy hot burger. Different fries and retro decor not the best but not the worst. Worth a monthly visit
M. A.
The place is cozy with very friendly staff. Amazing location in the centre of Bristol. The burger itself was perfect to the smallest detail. Highly recommended.
B.
Best burger ive ever eaten. Nerd place. Perfect.
S. C.
My first Bristol burger and my gosh what a way to start I went for the Diefenbaker ("I was too ashamed to admit knowing the reference").
Food was excellent the decor was astounding and two kenny loggin's songs in a row had me achieving a level of happiness I had previously deemed ill advised in public.
Over all great, I have now instigated Burger Mondays so will report how this compares over coming weeks. But the standard has been set bloody high.
J. D.
Food here really good. Portion sizes are very large, make sure you are hungry. Decor is really interesting too. Great place!
M. R.
I ordered via Deliveroo which I'm sure isn't as good as sitting in the comic book-panelled building. Great food, good vegetarian options, although more expensive than most parallels on the same road.
M. N.
Amazing place. It's like they scooped out a 40 something comic fans brain and plastered the walls with it.
Best. Veggie. Burger. I've. Had. In. Decades.
The meaty stuff looked damn good and my fellow diners were really happy.
C. J.
Service was quick and polite. Food was tasty. I found the decor a little too tacky, I got what they were going for but feel the same effect could be be done without army men glued to a wall.
T. N.
One of my favourite evenings ever. The decour is amazing, the service is good, the music is fantastic and the burgers are the best I've had. 100% loved it!
H. A.
Nice place to eat burgers with vintage 80s space nerdy TV shows and music.
A. W.
Love the decor. Burger could have been hotter. Chips were stone cold. Unfortunately I wasn't in a position to mention it to the staff. I'm sure they would have sorted it if I'd said something though.
A. G.
Great place. Deco is fab for a sci-fi fan who grew up in the 80s. Burgers were amazing & the milkshakes were to die for. Will definitely be back.
R. B.
Burgers were amazing! The staff were a little rushed due to a technical issue with the online ordering system but they dealt with it well and it didn't take away from the experience.
C. S.
My first time visiting Atomic Burger since moving to Bristol. Worth the recommendation. Tom and Kya gave great service and will visit again.
P. R.
Been open for years but only tried it last month- this is how to do a burger, amazing quality all round and fries are top notch!
A. F.
Staff were very friendly and catered for a group of 8 well. The food was good and the drinks OK, a more varied selection of alcohol, particularly beer would be appreciated.
N. A.
Love it. Lots to look at and good food. Gluten free buns available too
B. F.
Never disappoints, which in a Bristol is impressive given the number of great places to get a burger. Glad to see that they had a few craft beer options too.
A. R.
Top burgers and cool 80's nostalgia
S. B.
Such a glorious place. The staff are superb and the food is always excellent. Every time I leave that building, a little piece of me dies.
P. F.
I am so picky when it comes to food and presentation is important which is where Atomic Burger stands out. Someone has put the effort into building the burger, you see the layers, you see and smell the ingredients and it is all fresh. None of this limp, embarrassing "I've been sat in a microwave for an hour waiting for someone to buy me" rubbish that you get in McDonalds. The burger comes well presented and the patty has a good chargrilled appearance, it smells chargrilled and above all tastes chargrilled. It's a big, well seasoned, expertly cooked burger; so juicy, tender and flavoursome. The taste alone tells you that this place only deals with the freshest, tastiest and best quality ingredients.
The food is delicious and well cooked although you have been warned, the portions are big. Don't be a fatty and order the sci-fries, onion rings (which are so good you could eat a whole bowl of them) and slaw because you won't eat it all. If there's two of you have a burger and fries each and then share a side. You can have any conceivable topping that is appropriate for a burger at Atomic Burger. Now I like the Forrest Gump, it's plain and simple, just as it's name suggests. I also love the Outlaw and Chuck Norris as well as the Daisy Duke. The staff are really cool and friendly and I dislike any criticism of the service there because it is unfounded and untrue. The people who criticise the food at Atomic Burger are those that think McDonalds rules supreme and that Burger King should be given a Michelin star. They wouldn't know a good burger if it dropped it's knickers and started dancing in front of them.
The milkshakes are an excercise routine. They are so thick and creamy that your cheeks will ache at the end of it but they are so good I defy anyone not to want another one. Now I love the plain and simple chocolate however the Oreo is very good too and the strawberry.
The decor is also incredible. If you were a kid who grew up watching 80's TV you are now in heaven and it would be acceptable to pay homage to the establishment therein. You want Star Wars? Scooby Doo? Captain Scarlet? Ghostbusters? Every Marvel Comic super hero? The original and best Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? They are all there adorning the walls and floor of this place.
If you want to know what a true, real burger looks like and tastes like then go there and invest. I have never seen it quiet and the fact that you have to book in advance says a lot more than any of the critics can throw it's way.
N. C.
Excellent food all fresh . Ignore all negative reviews . Staff very friendly will be definitely returning soon
C. R.
This has a really interesting atmosphere, one that is perfect for any nerd. The music is a nice touch and the food is good with some different options that you would not see in most burger joints.
B. L.
Food was very good. Has a nice atmosphere. Service was extremely slow even though it was half empty. Had to ask for the bill and to pay which took 30-45mins
M.
Amazing burgers, super shakes. Had the Jolene double burger, buffalo fries and a slightly boozy chocolate shake. Absolutely fantastic, girlfriend loved her veggie burger too 😊
W. M.
Best burgers in the South West, never mind Bristol! Great ambiance, excellent milkshakes, awesome variations on chips and friendly service, we go back quite often!
S. F.
Lots of choices. The first place to get a milkshake the way I wanted it since moving to Bristol! We've been there twice and the waiter was friendly and remembered us.
N. R.
Super friendly staff who were talkative and helpful, food was good not amazing. Worth a visit though.
A. B.
Me and my husband travel to this place and love it, if you go for 12ish your be first and get it super quickly. Definitely order a shake they are awesome and well worth it, manager and staff are lovely (we usually go on a Sunday)
I. B.
Really good selection of burgers and tasty. Would recommend sitting towards the front of restaurant by door as was a little warm for myself sat towards the back. Nevertheless a good evening.
S.
I think I could eat this for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it's amazing.
S. M.
The burgers are really great. Huge portions, and they taste fantastic. Great service, comfortable ambience, and a great location.
D. B.
Fantastic diner. Burgers are amazing and everyone there is friendly. Onion rings are juicy as well. Food portions are decent sized.
f. w.
Lovely grub, reasonably price. I really enjoyed my visit and thoroughly appreciated the time warp effect of stepping back into my childhood.
k. c.
Absolutely fantastic has to be one of the best burgers and dirty fries I've ever had! Friendly staff and quick service there really is not a thing to complain about!👍
J. T.
The atmosphere here was great and the food was amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a decent burger :)
W. D.
Really delicious food, great and kind staff. And the decor, the atmosphere, I love it. If I ever come back to Bristol, I will definitely come by again
A. B.
Great burger and quick service too! Good milkshake too. Quantity is also really good. Will fill a large person easily.
J. E.
Love the decor, good food too.
L. H.
Great, cozy, and fulfilling. Obvious to see but hard to park. The food is good, the staff are helpful, plus it has an retro arcade machine. What more could you want?
P. H.
What a great place to sit and eat. Wonderful memorabilia on the walls and ceiling and match that with awesome food and friendly staff.
D. C.
Food was fantastic and staff were really friendly. Would recommend!
A. M.
Fantastic burgers - some of the best in Bristol - and I've tried them all! Friendly, helpful staff. Great shakes!
S. H.
Great food! Great atmosphere! Slightly more than I expected cost wise but worth it! Definitely going again!
W.
Pretty cool setting, good burgers, but the buns are a little disappointing. Not sure the burgers quite compete with the others on Gloucester Road which really do offer their A-Game.
J. J.
Bloomin’ amazing :) absolutely incredible burgers. External decor isn’t the greatest so doesn’t give the best impression but fantastic burgers
J. B.
Staff were great but food was average and definitely too expensive when compared to better burger joints locally
A. P.
Bit different with interesting burger names and a comic themed atmosphere. Burgers were OK, nothing fantastic mind. But they weren't too expensive either.
B. H.
Not a bad experience but the beef burger patties have too much garlic in them. I don't mind garlic but didn't like the amount or the option to not have garlic in the Patti.
R. W.
Fantastic range of burgers, 2nd to none. Great service and atmosphere, lovely environment for all to dine in. Will be back next time I'm nearby!
G. M.
Great burgers! Massive choice and massive burgers. The freak shake milkshakes well worth a look.
It's a cool place !!
J. F.
Cool atmosphere, good service but food was brooght out suspiciously quickly and was luke warm, for the price ive had better burgers
N. C.
Great burger, hippy fries are amazing, worth the price! And the service was 5 stars! Very friendly!
L. W.
What a great place with a great menu, burgers are so different & food is amazing! Will definitely be back, thank you
J.
Bristol's burger market is saturated but Atomic Burger is a bit of something different. A sci fi-/comicbook-themed joint that isn't just a novelty but backs up the quirkiness with delicious burgers. Love it.
B. M.
Best burger I've ever had, when I'm down in Bristol visiting friends it's the first place I want to go. Quality shakes as well
M. S.
Great food and cool decor. Felt like stepping back in time to the 90s.
Definitely going back again. 👍
L. C.
Amazing service, friendly, helpful and up for a chat. Food was lovely, came out within 15/20 minutes of ordering! Very quirky interior!
P. C.
It's like my childhood exploded! Food was excellent and cooked perfectly.
BUT
The decor is amazing, just look at the photos!
A. J.
I love this place. It's so nerdy in the best way! The decor is fantastic and the food is fab!
B. S.
Great food and wonderful servers! Sorry again for the scare :)
M.
Friendly staff, great food
D. I.
Atomic Burger is a 90's ish themed burger restaurant. The first time I visited was just after opening. Bemused slightly by the collection of Nintendo cartridges superglued to the walls and the projector showing poorly downloaded retro videos from YouTube - yet impressed by the burgers.
Second time a few months later and the novelty has worn off. Portion sizes were also significantly smaller, leaving me with an average burger, a stickerbook and a slightly confused look.
Unless you have a craving for chilli cheese burger with all the sides, then I'd avoid.
S. M.
Consistently amazing service, generous portions, inspired burgerage, gleefully cheesy music selection and decor. Couldn't love this place more. :D
A. F.
Burger was nice but awful service - they forgot about us twice!! Returned again to get a milkshake as they are pretty tasty but got turned away as they only served drinks with food - ridiculous!
R. S.
Amazing Burgers and wicked deserts
T. M.
It was good and. The chef let me run around in the greaase fryer after I finished my chip
K.
Tasty burgers with wide selection of meaty/veggie options, but perhaps a little on the pricey side compared to chains
E. E. E.
Favourite place in Bristol for a burger - staff are well mannered and friendly. Burgers are delicious and the atmosphere makes the price well worth it
A. B.
So much fun to be had! Try the hot sauce! Delicious burgers and fries. Not tried the milkshakes (God knows why because they look amazing!)
S. H.
Really cool atmosphere and place. Quick service and super friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back and would recommend!
A.
Best burgers in Bristol
S.
We are vegetarian and the options were great, we all ate something different and enjoyed it. Fantastic menu and great friendly staff.
S. W.
Amazing and magical place full of film and TV memorabilia.... Food worthy of Pulp Fiction where you can find out what a $5 shake tastes like
B. K.
Nice food, nice atmosphere and kind staff, fast service. Maybe could find some other radio channels or something new, there is always the same music on.
C.
Service was friendly and helpful. Music and atmosphere is loud, but I think that’s the point!! Toilets were a bit gross!
A. V. H.
Went for my sons 10th birthday, had a great time. If you like burgers then give this place a go.
S.
The burgers are just one of the amazing things about this place. The decor is something else I love this place and will be back as often as possible.

Pretty fantastic burger. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Gonna try a milkshake next time!
J. G. (.
Amazing experience. Attention to detail.
R. M.
Lovely food but didn't appreciate the mandatory £40 service charge when we had already left a tip. Best waitress in the world.
M. C.
Food was good but I found expensive for what it was. Until prices change I probably wouldn't go again. Mid afternoon midweek only five people in house.
N.
Veggie burger was Great! Would recommend this place for vegans! Staff were friendly and service was really fast!
K. K.
The Trailer Park Fries and the Cookie Monster Milkshake were both Amazing, would definitely recommend!

Bit over priced for me loads of choices of foods and drinks ...milkshakes soft drinks and so many burgers to choose from...try them out its finger licking good.
