Ordered 47 fish and chips for an event. Sharon and her team provided superb service in delivering on time and just what we ordered, and all 47 agreed the meal was just what fish and chips should be. Delicious.

Had Takeaways from here twice while Staying at the Premier Inn at Alveston. Had a Gluten Free Cod and it was cooked to perfection and the batter lovely & Crisp.

I'm not sure the negative comments on here are all that fair, maybe more of an inconsistency on different days and lunch to dinner shift. But I came here for Sunday night, ordered a large cod and medium chips (the peas I made myself, because who wants to pay almost £2 for mushy peas?!) - Although it wasn't greasy as others have reviewed it to be, it definitely wasn't fresh because you can tell the fish is quite tough and doesn't quite fall off the fork. Nonetheless the batter was nice, not greasy at all. Was disappointed that it was 2 small cod's instead of one large and the chips aren't exactly a generous portion. I watched a heart attack amount of salt being poured over another customers which put me off, and would always want to do it myself. It was still nice and I enjoyed my dinner. Overall - service wasn't all that efficient considering it wasn't made to order. Slightly on the pricey side considering average taste.

Very disappointed - cold fish and luke warm chips after waiting 1/2 hour. This is a large fish and standard chips - extremely overpriced and poor quality food. ☹️

YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN DEEP BLUE!!!! Easily the best in Thornbury... Ordered our chippie dinner Sunday evening (11/04) for delivery. Super easy to order over the phone! Food arrived promptly (friendly driver!) still piping hot (3x f&c, 3x curry, 2x mushy peas). Haddock was coated in a beautifully crispy batter, chips were cooked perfectly. Will definitely be ordering again! Thank you to all Deep Blue staff!!

Well cooked food, including the chips. The small adult servings were plenty for us. They were out of a few things, possibly Brexit related. Do children's menu too. You can order and collect but don't always deliver.

If you like thick Chips this is the place for you. The Chips are dry (not greasy) and you get a good size portion (more than I really need). I've recently started trying the plaice (instead of Cod or Haddock) and it has been lovely. The batter was nice and crispy and the plaice was delicious and a very good size.

A chip shop that delivers!! Excellent fish and chips, they also do gluten free days (see their website for details). Good value for money. The only slight negative is at times the food is a little greasy when delivered and there's not enough salt and vinegar on the chips!

Today had a large fish and a fish cake with large chips all in boxes. Chips came in a box instead of the usual bag and of less quantity in the box. The fish cake had bits missing?? Fish not so large as normal. Very disappointed 😞

This place is okay. It's gone did hill since the previous fish and chip sold it to these people. If you read other comments it's pretty much says it all. Overpriced, small portions, not good quality. I think the business need to keep two of the 3 okay and that would stop bad reviews. They do delivery. Today I had 2 sausage and chips, it was okay I only go here when the other chippy isn't busy, I pay the extra for speed because they never seem to be busy.

This is my regular chippie. I don’t even live in Thornbury. I drive all the way over from my house out in the sticks to get my chips from here. I never have fish, because fish is horrible. But my girlfriend tells me that the fish here is delicious. I can vouch for the battered sausages and the saveloys and the curry sauce and the pineapple fritters. Man, I love pineapple fritters. They’re delicious. The other chippie in Thornbury doesn’t do pineapple fritters and they once stole a cheeseburger off me. If I was to highlight a negative point about the Deep Blue chip shop, it would be that none of the food is blue. Deep or otherwise.

This is my Goto chippy when it cheat day arrives. Been going to it since college. Good quality good, Friendly staff, quick service, emergency service discount, no plastic is used with packaging and love the fact they do home delivery too! One mumble is, you may walk away with someone elses order (Happened a few time) 😅 never the less, the food you get is still spot on! Will just be more conscious to check my bag before I drive off!

Here's the thing. I ordered, my friend ordered and we got what we ordered. IF, however, the staff would have helped/paid attention, what we got was actually part of a "deal." Ended up costing me 2 pounds more than it would have as part of the deal. I was not offered any sauces either. I noticed other people who came in after were offered sauces and also told that their choices were part of a better deal. eh. maybe we were jsut a really interesting couple so we fascinated them. Food was ok (not the cheapest). You have several choices in this town..not sure why you would choose this one over another.

Online ordering system brilliant, selected pay by cash, food was ready when I arrived.Only thing that could improve the system would be to allow orders to be compiled and confirmed (5/10 minutes) before the shop opening times. Food was great!

Food was nice but disappointed with the service, when we got home we realised part of our order was missing we attempted to ring to inform them but unable to get through. When returning to the shop to resolve the it was felt though that we were not believe! The issue was resolve it made unpleasant experience and left the rest going cold at home.
