Being a fan of Low and Slow at St Nicholas, when the girlfriend said she was a craving meaty meal I thought it would be a good opportunity to take her to Low and Slow at Whiteladies. I went for the Barbecue Box XL and she went for the regular Barbecue Box. In my box was Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket, Chicken Thigh and Burnt Ends. For the sides I chose Seasoned Fries and Beans. The meal was good. The downfalls were my sides were described as large yet they were the same as the regular box. This was the same for the salad. The only noticeable difference was that I had a chicken thigh. The other issue was the swarm of delivery people that were around me when I was trying to pay and talk to the staff about what sauces I wanted. I appreciate that places like this depend on deliveries and the delivery drivers want to get in and out to move onto their next job, but I feel this is becoming more of an issue in Bristol. When I was eating I even heard a member of staff say to them, please take a step back, you being so close to the counter isn't going to make me process the order any quicker. I will call the numbers when ready. I just feel that there needs to be some delivery driver etiquette.

AMAZING food!! Ordered two brisket and pulled pork BBQ boxes. They had ran out of brisket but Joe gave us a call and sent us extra pulled pork, box of chicken thighs, 2 extra sides, sauces AND two milkshakes instead!! Joe was absolutely lovely on the phone, wasn't expecting that much food for one missing item. This place, the food and the staff are unmatched. Can't recommend enough. That service has convinced me to order again tonight and many more times.

What can I say, absolutely perfect, if you just had a dental accident and lost all your teeth you could still eat here 😍🤣 the meat is so tender and succulent, the mac and cheese is one of a kind and the chips do not disappoint with the coating they use. Lovely friendly staff and a very easy to understand menu, you'll be back to try the lot!!! One of my personal favourites!!

This was a tale of two dishes. We had the pork fries which were great. Some overly large pieces of pork for dirty fries (rather than lots of shredded pieces), but the meat was delicious and tender. However, the beef fries were cursed with large cubic pieces of tough, chewy meat, which needed a steak knife to cut through as opposed to the small wooden takeaway cutlery provided; let this dish down big time. Chips and sauces on both meals were however on point, good selection of beers and pleasant atmosphere.

Very tasty meal. Got the BBQ box and it did not disappoint. Sides chosen were the Mac n Cheese, Texas Toast and fries. I would rank them in that same order. But I’d suggest eating in store because it gets slightly cold if delivered and isn’t as enjoyable. Although there are often good deals for Low and Slow on UberEats

I got the chicken box with the fries and beans and dined in! Very clearly high quality meat, but the portion size was a bit lacking for the price. I also thought that the beans were seasoned a bit weirdly, there was a spice in there i couldn’t place which didn’t feel like it belonged. Next time i’d go for the gorgeous looking fatty pork and i’d swap the beans for mac. Will defo return for a round 2 redemption. Lovely staff xx

Delicious, as always! The wooden knives and forks aren't great for cutting meat though, but after a few visits we're now wise to that, so brought our own cutlery from home. #lowandslowpro

The meat and fries were excellent, but the mac and cheese was bad, the "Texas toast" didn't have much flavour, and the place is very much a takeaway with seating, not a restaurant. If you're looking for a takeaway, go for it. If you're looking for somewhere to sit down and eat, I probably won't be back in a rush.
