Reviews of Madd Sandwich Company

Another lovely lunch sat in the courtyard in Chipping Sodbury with Buddy-Dog.
He enjoys it as much as me ( especially if I share my favourite sandwich: chicken, hot bacon and mayo on white ), and is equally welcome when we visit.
Everything is really fresh and the staff go out of their way to accommodate requests (long as they have it available, they can do it !).
Hoping the dry weather lasts a bit longer into winter for a few more visits.
Thanks everyone at Madd Chipping Sodbury x

My mission today, after a long night out, was to obtain food. Not stodgy, greasy, fatty fried food. No, rather... fresh, reassuring, comforting food that takes away the headache and the swirling mess that is my insides. I stumbled, quite literally, upon this quiet little sandwich making paradise, and felt at ease immediately when greeted by the gentleman behind the counter. It felt as if he could see every shot, every pint and every jaagerbomb that had been forced upon me by my so called friends. I was then also greeted by who would soon become the maker of my sandwich. A light shone from behind her, as if God was casting his Godly rays of light down upon her. By this point I had read most of the extensive sandwich menu, so when she asked "what can I do for you today?", I took one last glance at the menu and asked for the bacon, brie and cranberry baguette. A solid choice, an all-rounder in anyone's books. She got straight to it without hesitation. It took a mere 45 seconds to be called back to the counter, where I was greeted with a brown paper bag; another curiously comforting sight. Just as I was about to pay, my eyes cast upon the glorious amounts of cakes, (I must admit, sadly I did not purchase one as I think that may have pushed my fragile insides a little too far), I could only imagine they were as tasty as they looked as I gazed upon the chocolate brownie; dense, dark, moist and a generous size. I declined the persuasion of my Sandwich Creator and paid for my baguette. I began a steady stroll home (only five minutes away) and found myself speeding up, my legs hurrying me back as my stomach could sense nourishment. I walked through the door, sat at the table and opened the bag, which left me reinacting a drunk pirate opening a treasure chest of gold he had been digging up for the last 2 days. Anyway, the sandwich; a baguette so soft on the inside with a light crisp on the outside can only be achieved by the most impeccable of bakers. The bacon, thickly cut, with a crisped fat, leaving the mouth drooling. The brie... oh the brie. Perfect thickness, creamy, and a fresh taste, the best brie I have had in a long time. The cranberry sauce, sweet, not too sour, as perfect as can be. Combined together, it has left me spending the last 30 minutes writing about it as if I was beginning a love story between man and baguette. Please stop by here, for you will never look at a baguette from a high street name the same way again.

Worked professionally with Madd Sandwich for my workplace and can say they were fab, punctual, friendly, good value and delicious food. I haven't used on an individual basis but I'm sure they're just as good and were really friendly in the cafe.
Good vegan options too and other dietary requirements. The vegan cakes were amazing!

Nice baguette and sandwich with cold drink and cup of tea. Eat in their courtyard at the back. Nice and shady, friendly staff. Could do with a loo for their customers. Will be back.

Easily the best sandwich shop in the high street. Not too expensive, lots of choice and very friendly and experienced staff. Their huge popularity can sometimes mean the odd queues (specially around lunchtime) but it's definitely worth the wait! Their salad bar is also one of the best I've seen and I really appreciate the protective hygiene glass cover over all the food that you can raise and lower. Would happily recommend to anyone.
