Visited on a Sunday evening for a works Xmas feast. Thoroughly enjoyed 😁. Great service, well presented and Fabulous food. The best place I have eaten out at for a while. Highly recommend.

Lovely local restaurant. Food was good, we ordered 6 tapas between 2 of us and it was more than enough food. I have only visited once however my friend has previously visited and she did notice that the portion sizes have got smaller since her last visit. Despite this the food was cooked well and tasted delicious. The desserts looked tempting but unfortunately we were so full that we couldn't do it! Will visit again.

Visited Mezze at the Green Dragon at late notice as our dinner plans changed and it was really lovely. The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere, nicely decorated and the staff were very attentive and not at all intrusive. The food we had was especially nice. We left full and happy. Fabulous experience at the Mezze yesterday for my 60th Birthday. All 11 of us chose 21 different Mezze dishes and they all came out together, piping hot and all correct! Not only that, they were all well cooked and delicious! The staff were the perfect level of attentiveness, and were very obliging throughout. Thank you!

Visited here recently on the EO2HO scheme - the staff were super friendly and you got a lot of food for the price. I do feel some of the dishes could have been slightly higher quality but overall a really nice meal. Only downside was our table was in the hallway literally next to the kitchen and stairs so we were constantly hearing the waiters and chef shouting to each other and people coming up and down the stairs

Group of 13 people at 1pm on a Sunday. Food had to be pre ordered but arrived promptly. All of it was warm, not hot but tasted lovely & no one had a bad thing to say about the food. One major downside was when it came to paying. They would not let each individual pay for what they had, resulting in a solid 20 mins of trying to work it out. Would have been much easier if we had gone to the bar, said 'this is what I've had' then be given a total to pay

This used to be my local 50 years ago, I always loved this place and was not disappointed to see it has kept a lot of its old character. Its staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor is pleasant and bright. Would definitely recommend this place.

Really enjoy the green dragon nice selection of vegetarian options , I do find the food differs on different visits some nicer than others but recently they present the bill but put another bill on top with a service charge on and the servers name I find this uncomfortable when that server comes up to collect your payment as feel any tips should be up to the diner to choose to leave and also the amount , and not to be made to feel obliged .

Hadn't had mezze before but really enjoyed being able to have 3 individual dishes. My partner had a main meal, which he said was very good. One of my 3 dishes was a little spicy for me but would be fine for most people. Had more than enough to eat. It was quiet there as we had gone early evening. The staff were pleasant and attentive without crowding you.

Really great service. Food was delicious. Only bad thing I can say is they need new tables as they are very sticky. An explanation was provided that during the pandemic they used a lot of sanitiser to clean the tables and they haven’t gone back to normal. But other than that really pleasant experience.

We booked a table for 7:30 on a Saturday for a table of 12 of us for my mums 60th. We were so impressed with how organised everyone was. Once we all arrived they came over and took our drinks and within 15 minutes all of our food had come out. We even ordered extra food which we did not pre order and this all came out hot and quick. We did bring a birthday cake and they all sang and gave us plates to have it as a pudding. It was a really lovely night, thank you to everyone you made it such a pleasant night and the food was lovely!

Friendly, pleasant staff. Wide choice of menu, we went for the Mezze which was good value (3 dishes for £14.95) good choice of vegetarian dishes. Pleasant surroundings. Parking can be a bit difficult the suggested nearby car park is a bit far for anyone with mobility difficulties. Would definitely recommend to friends.

A Christmas celebration for 30, good food and great service

I have always loved this place, haven't been for years so went last night, the food was really nice, but when we asked to change a couple of pints that tasted funny and were a bit flat (they were all full apart from a few sips taken), the lady on the bar was very rude and very reluctant to change them, from the moment on, we got a very frosty reception from all staff. None of the staff seemed very happy or friendly. Shame really, as it could have been a nice night, probably won't hurry back.

Visited around 7pm on a Friday..Our first date night in a VERY long time...Food and service both good. The piri piri flame grilled chicken is particularly great. Paid around £53 for x6 tapas and a bottle of shiraz. I think it could be a great place to visit in the Summer and eat outside... It could largely depend on where you sit? But where I was parked the lighting is like a dentists waiting room. Like when they bring the lights up at the end of the night in a club to make you leave? I gestured to the unlit candle on our table to no avail. I've added a photo of the view from my seat. Nothing says romance like...

Amazing food, friendly staff and always a pleasant experience. Had only one bad experience in the many times we used them and that was for a birthday takeaway order that didn't get through from the new ordering system. Called and spoke to a person who deals with the food orders for takeaway, it was a new system and they didn't get the order so when I went to collect it was not ready and in the end we could not wait for it to be cooked so missed out. Hopefully that system has been fixed now as its the only reason I knocked a star off!

We have eaten here a few times but this is the second takeaway we have had from the Mezze. The menu has a wide choice and the food is well cooked. A three portion mezze generally lasts us for two meals as the portion sizes are excellent. Fantastic value and if it helps keep the place going until we return to normality then that's a win-win.

We’ve been to the mezze many times before but somehow had no idea they were open for takeaway during lockdown. Service was excellent - order was ready bang on time, food was hot, and the order was spot on (including some very nice February freebies!) This was a very special valentines meal and would recommend to anyone. 10/10.

Went for a roast today with family. Service was good and prompt and we enjoyed our roast but the downfall was no variety of veg, quite boring. Green beans & carrots, that was it. I did asked if they had cauliflower cheese but nothing available. I had roast pork which included one Yorkshire pud but there was no stuffing, just felt it wasn't the full package, having said that we all enjoyed what we had.

Wifey and I love Greek food and were looking for a place that would do takeaway in our area. This restaurant popped up, having looked at the vast menu of options, this was going to happen. We planned to have it last Friday as our babymoon was cancelled. I ran up to place an order and the chap was very helpful. You get free bravas / rice with orders (I think its when you order a certain amount). We ordered 6 mezzes which is 3 for 14.95. You get 20% takeaway which is really good. When you compare it to the 28 quid Nandos a few weeks ago, this blew them out the water! The food was still hot (we live 10 min drive away), the portions very good and the food very tasty. I think we went for the Greek salad, vegetable moussaka, chicken shawarma, chicked souvlaki, drunken pork and beef stifado. All were top notch and delicious in their own way. We are definitely going to order from here again. Sorry, the food was gone before we could take a photo :)

This is an odd one - on the first visit it was worthy of 5 stars for the variety and quality of the food and the service. That was early evening. The following afternoon, around 2.00pm we visited again. The food took over an hour to arrive - despite it being quiet - and when it did arrive some of it was only tepid and the quality was nothing like the evening before. The response of the waitress when we told her was that we should have told her earlier! Sadly we couldn't spare another hour waiting for the replacement to arrive. Real Jekyll and Hyde place - l've averaged out the stars over the two visits.

We had a beautiful meal here. The restaurant itself is very nice, the staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered mezze and had: Salt and pepper squid Pan fried filet of cod Potato skins Dolmades and halloumi Mezze classic beef stifado Thatcher's drunken pork The dolmades were so good I moaned with pleasure when I bit into it! I even ate and enjoyed some of the halloumi and I don't normally like it, it wasn't hard or rubbery like other halloumi I've tried. The cod was also beautiful, well cooked in a very light batter. We really enjoyed everything we ordered and I can recommend the white Zinfandel wine. Highly recommend and I just wish we lived closer so I could go again! Thank you so much for a lovely evening.

Huge choice of food incl fish, meat and veg option. Grand mezze option , in my opinion its waste of money. Plenty space inside, but bare in mind there is two rooms on front and one big on back (big one have kind of "door -passageway" on middle so its like two again. All rooms are on different floor level with narrow stairs. There is also not enough lights inside and the one which are on just are more for fun and decoration. The biggest minus it's temperature inside.... cold cold cold. We had plans to sit for a long time with drinks etc but after a while it was to cold for that. Staff is very polite but definitely prefer female team above male. Guys are really lazy and slow, no interested with customers, where female team are really quick and doing all what possible to satisfy everyone. Overall it's nice place with tasty food and good choice of drinks.

Wow! Not just great food, but so much of it. You always think to order loads of dishes because they're small... well you don't need to! We ordered 1 mezze each as a starter (table of 5 people) - nachos were a huge portion, the fried brie was amazing, the others had halloumi and dolmades, and the houmous and olives - everyone was impressed, although the houmous didn't come with any bread. Mains we ordered 3 each plus a side. The stifado was amazing - 4 ordered it and everyone said how amazing it was. Pesto chicken was good. Sweet potato fries were nice. The cheese paella was OK. Others had chicken shawarma, beef chilli, a chorizo dish, a prawn dish but I can't remember the rest. They were all making the right noises about their dishes! And we were all totally stuffed by the end - I don't know how we got out of our chairs! Although you want to order every dish because it sounds so yummy, just be warned, you'll struggle to eat it all! We had no room for desserts, but they also sounded amazing. Next time, I'll order less, and make room for dessert!

Not bad, not as good as it used to be. Grande Mezze not on the menu (I don't know why) so went for 3 mezze for £15. Small portions. Didn't think it was particularly good value, verging on overpriced. Food was luke warm, and a bit bland. Service was OK, but nothing special. Always leave here a little disappointed.

A group of ten went for a 30th birthday. Two of us ordered the grand mezze (had to order prior) which arrived 20mins before anyone elses food was served. They then waited till everyone else had finished and they had cleared the table before the brought out the rest of our meal!!! Everyone was literally getting ready to leave when our next course arrived!! The food was average at best. The people in our group were raving about the potatoes and chorizo which was deep fried potato with deep fried chorizo.........That was it. I believe the restaurant has changed hands and it shows in the quality of service and the quality of food.

They are taking covid serious with waiting at door to be served on a 1.2.1 basis. Plenty of seating out the front all spread out. Staff are serving with face shields but this is difficult to hear the bar staff when there is a face screen and a screen at the bar as well. Loose a star because you have to order a min £5 on card. There was an option to charge my card £5 then give me coins in cashback which defeats the whole covid touching guidance

The Mezze is fantastic, the staff are lovely and helpful, and 9 dishes, desert and a bottle of wine for around £60 for four people is pretty good when the food tastes that good. The list of Mezze dishes is quite staggering, lots of veggie ones, and a good selection of meat and fish dishes. Dishes we've really enjoyed are the Peppered Steak, Lamb Kofta and the Beef Stifado. They do tweak and make changes to the menu each year. One issue though, is that it only scored 3 in its hygiene rating (back in Dec 2011) whereas all the other eateries around, including takeaways, scored 5, so we'll hang fire on going back until its rating has improved. Considering how they're scored, somewhere like this should be a 5.
