Went out with a large group to celebrate New Year's Day, as we do this every year we usually get told at other restaurants that service will be slow as there are loads of customers, however, at Miller + Carter's this was not the case. Service was fantastic and speedy! The food was lovely with great portion sizes.

Mothers day meal, plenty of GF options for the Coeliac in the party. Reassured by the way the menu was explained, order taken, and meal served. Lovely food and fun lively atmosphere not least from Junior who was friendly, engaging and great with the kids. Only down side was not having a gluten free separate frier for chips (5 star if you get one!)

I would say this is a pretty average steak house.. The cote de boeuf steak wasn't cooked medium like we asked and was pretty raw in the middle, it was tasty but a little on the chewy side. Also, the lettuce salad was so wet the dressing just fell off, get a salad spinner! The service was very good but we are not in a rush to return.

Have been a big fan of Miller & Carter since the first time I ate in one. The service here was really good and I liked the decor & atmosphere too. Sadly on this occasion, the steak did not quite meet the usual standard I have come to know and love. My steak was too rare and not cooked to medium as requested, in my opinion. It was also a little gristly in places. However, I chose a 12oz Black Angus Sirloin, not my usual Ribeye - so will stick to that next time. Would still recommend Cribbs Causeway

I've been to a few different Miller & Carter restaurants and always had great service and wonderful food. This was my first visit to the Cribbs Causeway establishment and some how it was just on another level again.. from the warm welcome we received to the friendliness and professionalism of everyone who looked after us, accompanied by the insanely good food (kudos to the chef!)made for a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.

Visited for lunch today with a friend, we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The lunch menu is excellent value and provides a variety of options beyond steak. We had cheesy mushrooms for starter, Mac and cheese and grilled chicken for main, and all the food was delicious. Our server was very polite and friendly. There is plenty of parking outside, outdoor seating area and seating next to the bar. Will definitely return.

Having been before and enjoyed your excellent set menu for lunch,suggested it to a friend who had never been. My friend was very impressed and we both enjoyed our lunch. Our first time visiting Miller and Carter. Apart from some noisy people in the bar that took away from the experience slightly - everything was great. Starters were fantastic, The steaks were absolutely fantastic, 10/10. Our waitress was busy but absolutely lovely. Drinks menus were slightly sticky - but one taste of the food made me forget this. Can't wait to visit again.

A bit of a hit and miss place. The meat is very good and flavourful, the vegetables were a bit forgotten about or an afterthought. The cocktails were overly sweet, the wine and coffee on the other hand were great. The staff were very welcoming and friendly but perhaps a bit stretched when we happened to visit. It's a big place too, with good space for bigger parties. I would go again but would only order certain things.

Took my GF for a birthday meal. Wasn't disappointed, the food was superb and so was the service. Mentioned to Kerry our waitress it was a birthday treat and was even give a lovely afters. Nothing was too much trouble. The lettuce with blue stilton appetizer was to die for. Made eating lettuce a pleasure. Had a fantastic Cote De Beouf as main. It was one of the best steaks I've had, and was huge. The chips were delicious. Will be going again very some again. Keep up the great work.

We stopped to use the EV charge point so just were looking for a cuppa and something sweet so were delighted to find that there was a mini dessert + drink on the menu, which was perfect. My companion chose the vegan option, as she is lactose intolerant but when the desserts came they were accompanied by a couple of lovely home made biscuits. These looked like shortbread so I asked the waiter to check if they were lactose free and he reported back that they had butter in! Not great for a dish that was marketed as vegan!

We were served by Ashley at Sunday lunchtime. He was very friendly and helpful, and made the visit a delight. The olives we had as "nibbles" while deciding what to have for the main are some of the best I've had. The fried halloumi was delicious, but we should have eaten it quicker, before it cooled. The house Malbec is so good i have to find out where i can order some to have at home! I eventually chose the Fillet steak, and highly appreciate the menu suggesting it be cooked rare. I saw it also listed suggestions for the other cuts, which is a really good idea. My friend went for the butternut and mushroom tart, and they were very pleased with how tasty and filling it was for a vegetarian option. My steak was perfect, the triple peppercorn sauce was perfect, the chips/fries were perfect. I still don't quite get what the wedge of lettuce was about... but sure why not... Can't wait for my next excuse to return for another amazing meal.

We had such a pleasant visit to Miller and Carter Cribbs this week. Our waitress really made it for us. It felt like a fine dining experience despite it being a more casual lunchtime slot, and she was so friendly and welcoming. I believe her name was Laurence. I'd like to thank her again for her hospitality. On top of this, the food, in part thanks to Laurence's recommendations, was absolutely brilliant. The best lunch we've had in a long time!

The service was good and the food cane out quickly, however the toilets were freezing and it was cold where we sat - to the right of the bar. 2 of the steaks were not the best we had, and whilst they did a table check we didn't say anything because we were hungry, and didn't want to wait for a re fire - assuming that was what you were going to do. The fillet mignon were not the best quality and your onion loaf is never cooked right any more. It's either burnt or not cooked enough. The prices have gone up and although anticipated they have gone up by a bit but the quality of the food has gone down

Staff as always at Miller and Carter are superb. The food is always top notch and I can honestly say we've never had a bad meal! Steaks are really good and ditch the chips for the camembert mash! It's god tier. The grey goose cocktails are something awesome! And shout-out to Molly for keeping them coming! The building here could use a little love though, it's a little grubby on the outside and inside feels well used. But don't let that get in the way!

We had the limited set menu but, despite arriving quite early for lunch, we found that at least 3 items were not available - disappointing. The unavailable items were not pointed out to us and had in fact been the ones we would have chosen. The alternative food we did have was good but, in the case of the Sea Bass, rather limited portion size. There was some mix up with the drinks order but this was quite quickly sorted. The bill was difficult to check but we did query it and found that we had been overcharged for drinks. On checking the revised bill carefully after having left the restaurant we found further errors resulting in a small overpayment on our part. Overall, not a brilliant lunch session or one we could recommend highly.

I've been here twice the past 2 weeks, both completely different experiences. Last week food came out stone cold but our waitress Barbra was fantastic, attentive and just a brilliant waitress!! This week the food was fantastic but the service was poor. Our waitress wasn't attentive. We waited 20 minutes for food to be ordered, and then when it was time to pay the bill, the waitress couldn't do enough....(i feel this is tip enduced). Last year I came and the staff were fantastic the food was great alongside the atmosphere. For our anniversary meal, this was a massive disappointment last night. Again Barbra seen us and came over to make sure everything was OK.

It's a chain restaurant that gets by on name. I have been here on 2 occasions now one to try the steaks and one to try other menu items and it's safe to say the name is all they have. The steaks were extreamly tough and chewy even medium rare was a challenge to chew every other item on the plate was satisfactory due to being chips. On another occasion I went to try the fish and chips and surprisingly not disappointed the fish was not freshly made you could tell by the way the battery had gone but still very nice for a chain restaurant. I would not go here again due to there being much more satisfactory places to eat if you were to venture to clifton or town.

Steak itself was lovely, perfectly cooked! Our waitress Barbara was great however our sides came out when we were 2/3 done with the meal… so enjoyed a whole pot of mushrooms and burnt lobster tail on its own! Got 3 starters to share and the pork belly was pathetic. 3 little “strips”, if you can even call it that, basically bacon, in some very spicy sauce that ruined it. Calamari was great, as always and the chicken side was lovely although portion was quite small.

Lovely steak and fantastic service. We booked a table and had to wait nearly an hour as the table wasn't ready. soft drinks were removed off the bill to compensate this. Dead mint was served in the cocktail twice which was offensive as nobody wants a dead weed hanging from the top of the glass. The chocolate bomb desert was £7 which is above average for a dessert and was a massive disappointment. A cheap mousse with a thin chocolate layer. Not worth the money or the calories. Overall the service was outstanding from the waitress who tried very hard to make sure we had a great meal. Next time will order a different dessert

Wanted to try for a while and finally have. Price wise it's a step down from the likes of The Ox or Hawksmoor but that's a selling point in many ways rather than a criticism. Atmosphere was really pleasant and food really enjoyable. I had the rump a friend the sirloin and both were perfectly cooked. Great selection of sides come with the meal including a 'lettuce wedge' which was a new concept to me but actually really tasty with the honey and mustard dressing. Top tip- the beef dripping steak sauce is divine! Especiallypoured over fries. Will happily return here. A very satisfying steak experience for a really good price.

Excellent meal especially as the January offer was extended into February as the price point is higher than most local eateries. The meal was all that more enjoyable due to interaction with Michelle our Waitress. A pity that a few of the menu's options were unavailable such as the honey and mustard dressing!

Only been once before in Bath for a lunchtime burger. Was a bit reluctant at spending so much on a steak in a chain restaurant, but I needn’t have been worried. Michelle and Louis made us feel comfortable and relaxed from our arrival. Ordered a Fillet Mignon which was exquisite! Melt in the mouth which is very rare for a steak especially in a chain restaurant. My good lady had chicken which she also thought was beautiful. Will definitely come back. Lovely evening was had. We went to Miller & Carter to celebrate our anniversary. All the staff were so lovely and welcoming. Our server, Simona, was wonderful! They were so helpful and the service was seamless. Perfect amount of time between each course, without ever feeling rushed or having to wait long. The food was absolutely unreal! I ordered the 50 day aged Fillet Steak and it was honestly the best steak I have ever tasted. Miles ahead of the steak I had at the Shard in London. The chef, Scott, deserves a Michelin Star! It was so lovely to hear them cheer and ring the bell after we sent our compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. What a wonderful team and lovely environment. Will definitely be coming back again soon!

Delicious food, great vibe. Really liked the smart casual dress code as it made it feel like a special event. Steak (chateaubriand) was cooked as requested and there was a good variety of sauce options. The lettuce was novel, as was the onion bagji, and the sweet potato fries were also tasty. INCREDIBLE FOOD! My partner & I went to M&C this afternoon and it was immense! Already a fan, having visited a couple of their other sites in recent years, but today was, essentially, perfection. Both steaks & sauces were utterly delicious; the regular & sweet potato chips were both spot on; the camembert mash was a treat; and the lettuce sides were far greater than one would expect them to be. I found myself eating slowly to savour every bite. Literally! I must add that the service in a restaurant makes or breaks your experience; I wish I'd made a note of the young lady's name who took care of us today, as she could be a yardstick by which to measure all table service staff. I acknowledge that the above all sounds a little gushy, but it's entirely genuine. We'll be back in the near future!! What a treat.

I’m a regular at Miller and Carter Cribbs Causeway. Usually spot on, unless you go on a Sunday/ Monday. Waitress said it’s best not to go on these days as when we began ordering she said they didn’t have quite a bit of the main steaks in and only had the ‘Bistro’ steaks so which are obviously more expensive and they offered no discount considering that was the only thing they had. Felt obliged to order. Minimal desserts that evening also so was a huge let down. Would recommend going in the week instead of Sunday or a Monday. Little disappointed but usually enjoy the restaurant.

Visited for a Christmas meal with friends as we have never been to a Miller & Carter before and heard great things. First of all the food was fantastic cannot fault it, also the server had great customer service. The downsides to our visit was that we didn’t get our Prosecco that was booked with our meal, we did ask halfway through but it still didn’t arrive, although it wasn’t charged on the bill. Also no drinks glasses were collected the whole time so the table ended up looking like a pub table, and that’s when the drinks did eventually arrive, ordered a red wine before the main meal but didn’t arrive until the meal was almost finished. We also had to ask for cutlery a couple of time too, but seeing as we pre booked and knew we were all having a three course meal you’d expect all the cutlery to be on the table already. Overall we had a great time but definitely expected more from the Miller & Carter brand.

Fist one was super weak could hardly feel it although tasted ok, second one was nice and strong and much better. A little more consistency would be nice as I felt ripped off by the first one. too much ice and not enough alcohol. Not sure ill return unless they bring a hunters chicken option back to the menu.

This restaurant looks good from the outside and going inside it doesn't disappoint. The food was very good. Two of us had stake. Which they said it was cooked well, they enjoyed it enormously. The others had chicken, again cooked well and tasted really good. There was plenty of friendly staff who were attentive but not overly so. Good quality at reasonable value. I went for the bistro dump steak and it was very tasty and cooked just as I had asked. I enjoy Miller and Carter's offer, and have been there 2-3 times before. This time the onion loaf wasn't as crispy as usual so was a bit oily. Service was okay but perhaps slightly less attentive than had it been quieter. Nice place to come for more of a celebration than a quick lunch. It's also write easy to rack up a bit of a bill with drinks and everything!

This used to be a harvesters but has now become a posh steak house. There is a good selection of cuts Fillet, Rib-eye, T Bone, Chateaubriand. The steaks were cooked well to everyone's taste (medium rare was medium rare, whilst well done was will done). This is quite impressive as many places find it difficult to get it right when people have asked for different levels of cooking. The tables were nicely spaced apart (this is one advantage of the new normal, you no longer feel crammed in). I wasn't terribly impressed by the sides (but to be honest when I go for a steak I really only care about the main event and that was cooked well). Our waitress (Leia) was very friendly and very helpful.

The restaurant I found to be very elegant. The service we received was also very good. My wife ordered the sirloin steak with a beef dripping gravy sauce. Her steak was excellent. I ordered a rib eye steak with pepper corn sauce. My steak was quite sinewy and the pepper corn sauce was not a nice creamy and delicate sauce, it was harsh, lacking subtlety. Pity as the ambiance was really nice.

If you want cheap fast food, go somewhere else. This is a place that has qualified chefs and fresh food. You need to wait for quality so order a drink and engage in talk whilst you wait. The food can't be faulted and is presented on the plate not thrown on. They also have a folder that shows you what's in all the dishes incase you have an allergy. My family go there for special occasions and would highly recommend it to others.

I've visited Miller and Carter in Glasgow before, but not been to this one just north of Cribbs Causeway. It did not disappoint! My wife and I both had steaks, the bistro rump and 12oz sirloin and both were cooked to perfection. It was quite lively without being boisterous and good music played quietly in the background. Service was excellent despite the restaurant being absolutely full on the Saturday night. We will definitely be back and might even bring the kids for the lunchtime set menu, very reasonably priced!.

You then get served a wedge of lettuce (just a 1/4 of a whole lettuce covered in your choice of sauce, sounds weird but really works well with steaks) and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Totalled £75 which for a 3 course meal for 2 with drinks is great value for top quality food and service

Don't think we'll be returning to this place. The lighting was a big problem for several of us, before we even got to the food. The light shade above the table gave a distorted reflection that made us feel nauseous at times, and the lamp on the wall at low level with no shade just dazzled. The food was ok, definitely over priced from my point of view. Staff were friendly and helpful, but appeared extremely busy and thinly stretched for the number of people dining.
