It's convenient for anyone staying at the Clifton Inn hotel. Service could be better, just a little more communication between staff. The food was just good, I would recommend the smashed avocado which was easily the best thing I ate whilst staying there.

This is a decent bar and restaurant with great staff. People were really friendly and very accommodating (4 adults and 4 children). Our food didn't take long after ordering and everything was delicious. Parking can be a little difficult but that is Clifton unfortunately. We will come back again for sure.

It was very convenient to the Clifton hotel where I was staying. It has both outdoor and indoor seating. I went for brunch and ordered the Eggs Benedict and toast. It was ok. The eggs were poached well and hollandaise was too thick and not enough of it on the eggs for my preference so to me it was a bit dry but it tasted fine. Service was very friendly and they were happy to help with anything you needed.

A nice pub with plenty of outdoor space. They have many big tables so you can easily arrange for a larger group. The staff is super fun and kind - you can have a nice chat and agood laugh while ordering. It is a nice place for a drink. The food is quite good, but as to my taste it could be improved. They have a variety of options so easily can something you like.

Before I start please excuse the terrible quality of the photos...temporary phone in use. So..it's hard to believe the bar is anything associated with the Clifton Hotel, the hotel itself is pretty grim in all honesty, especially for the location. It's in desperate need of remodelling, the staff are great in all fairness, but due to the location and the photos online I was expecting more...although I didn't make the booking so unsure of the room rates. But to Racks Bar itself ..huge underground venue situated underneath the hotel brilliant chilled Sunday atmosphere, some really pleasant staff , especially Reave who mainly waited on us, making me feel right at home instantly. I went for the Racks Burger as was feeling pretty delicate from the night before and it hit the spot perfectly ... a huge amount of perfectly cooked beef, and surprisingly without the addition of cheese was 10 /10. Quite a nice varied menu which I wouldn't mind going through on my return to Bristol. All together I think this bar is great and would love to visit again on a busy night to see how the atmosphere plans out say on a Friday or Saturday evening . I can safely say I'll be regularly returning whenever I'm in my second home city. Thanks guys

Had a works party in the playroom and what a great night it was. Our host for the night was Beth, she was absolutely amazing. Not once did we have to ask her to top things up, she was on the case all night. Beth even kept us posted on what we had left drink wise. Best host we could have had. The package deal food and drink wise was very reasonable and well worth it, cocktails alcoholic and non alcoholic was spot on. The food however was outstanding and so much to go around. Everything was labelled very well bar the bread rolls as we had some gluten free people that I informed where there's but by the time they got there some people had taken them so we had to ask for 1 more. Apart from that it was a great evening, with a great venue and an amazing host in Beth.

Went for a wedding reception. Food was nice and staff were pleasant. The woman who was meant to be organising didnt turn up so that's not great but the staff picked up her slack very well. Was a bit too hot inside though and too busy outside

I recently got married in Bristol and we had our wedding reception here, I highly recommend this place to anyone else who wants an intimate low key event of any kind. The staff are super friendly, easy to deal with, kind and understanding. We chatted with Kysha, an events manager, who was there to answer all our questions, at any time. Closer to the day we popped in to drop off a few things, the cake was held in their fridges overnight (relief!). Shout-out to the upbeat guy with longish dark hair who assisted us and made us feel at ease with it all. On the night, the manager with short light brownish hair was really nice too, popped in a few times to check on things and was really understanding. The food was absolutely amazing as well, we opted for the buffet menu and chose vegan and vegetarian options which were really good value for money, super tasty and everyone loved it all! Thank you so much for hosting us! (October 1st wedding party)

What a great place. Lots in door and external seating. Staff were really helpful and really polite. Had the beetroot and goat cheese salad. So good!! Plenty of everything, fresh and delicious. Definitely go there again.

Food was average, but prices were really good and the staff were 10/10. They were super friendly and service was fast but whilst we were there there was an incident with a member of staff and the manager (ryan) literally dropped the food he was about to serve and dealt with his member of staff and honestly, made me so happy to see there are decent managers left in the world. Ryan you're a 10/10 person, manager and a man! You, Ryan.. are single handedly the reason I'd come back again!

Brilliant wedding “breakfast “ (actually late afternoon by the time we all got there from the Register Office) for 18 people ages 2 to 84. Great food, very friendly and accommodating staff made for a very happy occasion.

This place is an absolute gem in Clifton. It was rugby night at the time we went so it was extremely busy. Still the staff was super nice, and we got a table in a more quiet part of the bar, away from the cheering crowd so we could have a chat. The food is absolutely amazing, plenty of veggie options. They even made me a cocktail that wasn't on the menu. 100% recommend them.

Visited with family on a Thursday evening,great welcone from friendly staff.Drinks prices reasonable on arrival. Sat in an own area which was nice as this was a family gathering. Steak night prices good and overall food quality was excellent.Service was great.Will be back

Subpar wetherspoons food at Clifton gastropub prices. Service excellent and drinks excellent - only thing going for it. I had the "Chilli Beef" fries, the chilli was a dense beef (I hope) mince mixture with some tomato sauce, and some undercooked chips - even the "cheese" on top couldn't save it - how can you possibly mess up essentially a cheesy chips??? Even the cheese was awful.
