The food was superb! I had the Vegan Moussaka and it was absolutely stunning 😍 Pleasantly surprised as I wasn't expecting anything more than standard pub grub but the quality was definitely above standard! 🙌🏻

I went for my first Christmas meal here on Sunday, even though it was busy there wasn't a hectic atmosphere, it was relaxed, the quality of food is great for what you pay, there was a good amount of time between the main and dessert... The staff were nice and very attentive & all the food was lovely! Would definitely go back☺️

Went to meet friends/celebrate a birthday. Food was very nice but service a bit slow - they also told us they'd need our table back but the pub appeared to be pretty much empty. Nine of us visited The Grapevine on Saturday evening the minute we walk through the door we felt welcomed the staff was attentive & professional, although most of the group had eaten here before it was the 1st time for me & my sister, omg we were blown away with the standard of food served, every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our chosen meals. We were given space after finishing our meals didn’t feel rushed at any point unlike some restaurants we have visited in the past. This may have been my first visit but it definitely won’t be my last.

Been twice. The first time I had the veggie burger and wasn’t too impressed. But this time I had the beef and chorizo lasagne. Wow. Probably one of the best lasagnes I’ve ever had. Everyone else’s meal at my table was also excellent. Presentation is lush and service was amazing. Disclaimer: not the best photo I’ve ever taken. But it tasted even better than it looked.

Been here a few times now, bar staff are always super friendly, lots of local tips too if you’re new to the area & accommodating if you haven’t got a booking, food is always amazing! The roast dinner is one of the best in Bristol! Lasagne and pork chops are also delicious. Drinks wise: they do a great Guinness & Prosecco is good quality & not bitter!

I decided to visit here as I fancied eating some good pub food. My friend had steak and I had lasagna. I have to say the food was pretty good although the slices of chorizo in the lasagna I did not expect. I expected decent chunks or it to be cooked into the ragu. Either way it was still tasty but gave it a it a cheaper vibe than expected for the price I paid. The garlic bread that came with it too was a little underwhelming. I have to admit the steak was cooked to perfection, tasty, succulent. The triple cooked chips were certainly well cooked, crispy and fluffy in the middle perhaps a little greasy. The side salad were simple but enjoyable. Drinks were ok, cant go too wrong with keg lager. Overall really enjoyable meal, slightly pricier than other competitors in the area but I would return. Solid 4*!! Thanks.

Found the Grapevine Brassiere on Google when staying in the local area and saw that it had great reviews. The reviews were spot on, an amazing menu with incredible tasting food! Service was also impeccable and friendly staff. With my fiancé being vegetarian it can be difficult sometimes to find a good place to eat however the falafel burger she had was the best she had ever tasted. 10/10

Went in for an early dinner couple of days ago. The food was super quick, very tasty and the portions were huge (maybe even a bit too bigif anything). The day we went was around 35degrees however the guy with a nose earing who was serving us still had the smile on his face throughout the whole time and he made our visit super pleasant!

I visited on a Sunday evening with a large group of 15 work colleagues. Other than us and maybe a couple of other people, the restaurant was empty. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and very clean and modern. The staff were professional and friendly. The food arrived quickly. I had the Halumi starter, which was very tasty and a good size. All home cooked and a good large portions. I had the Roasted butternut squash with five been chilli, which was nearly very good, except the squash could have been cooked for a little bit longer. That is why I gave only 4 stars. But other than that, everything was great and reasonably priced. Lovely time had, might have to visit again.

Transformed beyond recognition from its days as the salutation. Good selection of beers (and gin which has its own menu!). Food is fantastic, lovely atmosphere, great staff. Just what Mangotsfield needed. Large outside areas with plenty of seating too for sunny days. You can find their menu on their Facebook page.

Very nice nut roast, I asked for the normal (non vegan) cauliflower cheese which they were more than happy to swap, it also came with a very good helping of gravy. So thumbs up in my book. My friends said the beef very very very good too. Friendly staff who don't seem to be rushing you out as soon as you finish. Will defiantly go back with the family.

Second time here. Food was absolutely superb with everything cooked properly. Gambas prawns, goats cheese arancini, chicken shawarma, lamb, korean chicken burger and pork all beautifully cooked and presented. A far cry from the usual microwaved pub grub. Had a table/bar magician for the night who was really good. Only negative was a delay between being seated and getting drinks/taking order but didn't spoil anything. Home made cheesecake dessert and lemon tart were very flavoursome. Thanks for a great night.

Roast dinner one of the best I ever had! Beautiful so much veg! And cooked to perfection. Dessert was nice apple pie but pie was cold in the middle but still enjoyed it. Nice wait staff good attention. Didnt like the added 10% service charge without any mention of it on the menu though. Awkward to ask to remove it and they know that most wont notice it. Prefer to tip as we choose so that was a bit off putting and kind of spoiled the experience a bit

Update: dinner with friends. Super impressed with the food and the service, menu was really good and the place was packed. Definitely one of the best restaurants in North Bristol. First time we'd visited - and we went based on the reviews we'd read. Not disappointed. The place itself was quite basic but we couldn't fault the food, the portion sizes and the service. An added bonus is that my partner has an intolerance to dairy and they offered both vegan and dairy free alternatives - which was a pleasant surprise - especially based on the location (so a big thumbs up for that). The burgers were enormous - and really tasty. Will definitely return.

Went there 13July for my daughter's birthday... husband couldn't come as at work so asked if they could go a take away meal on a day they don't normally do take away and they said yes!! Went to a double birthday celebration on February 5th. I has fish and chips without mushy peas (I don't like mushy peas). I ate a chip only to find it lukewarm! I cut open my fish and it was warm (not hot enough for me to eat). My Mum asked the waiter to change it. He actually went out of his way to get me a new one. The new fish and chips were lovely, but this time I had mushy peas with it. Fair play to the waitress who kept me posted on the whereabouts my food was. I was slightly disappointed because I would've liked the original meal to br hotter. I gave Grapevine 4/5 and not 1 because of the waitress. My advice to the chef is please make sure that everything is piping hot before sending stuff out. Ben

We've always loved the food and atmosphere of the Grapevine, and took the opportunity to try their takeaway of our favourite dishes. Visited on a Tuesday night a couple of weeks ago with some family. I have to say, we loved it. We hadn't booked, and just turned up hoping to get a table, and they fit us in no problem. The staff were very welcoming and the decor and general atmosphere was really chilled. Perfect for what we wanted. Our drinks orders were taken quickly and brought to the table swiftly. A good selection of beers, lagers, wines, spirits - you name it. The menu had plenty of choice for all appetites. I had the rump steak and it was cooked to perfection. I also had a dessert - something like a salted caramel pot (something like that) and it was the bomb! Will definitely return and definitely recommend.

Hmmm sadly not a good experience for me. First meal out since lockdown and the atmosphere was nice enough and we were quickly served. We booked a table for 4 and the two burgers were delicious as well as a pasta with chicken and white wine sauce. My choice, £9 goulash was not. More like a watery soup and I felt like Oliver when one of my party queried how little I had. I was given an extra ladle but I felt the waitress was displeased with the request. We gave our thankyou's to the waitress when we left and she totally ignored us. Not a good experience and I for one won't return.

A really big improvement on the old pub. There is a reasonable selection of beer and a good selection of spirits. Not tried the wine yet. The drinks prices are a little steep when you consider the location etc. The food menu is not enormous and the prices are reasonable to slightly expensive but the quality of the food my wife and I had was excellent. As was the service. I had a chicken burger for lunch and it was marvellous. The accompaniments were all very tasty and the portion size was not daft. My wife had a goat's cheese salad which was excellent. The waiting staff were very friendly without being overbearing and the food arrived in good time. Given that this is a new establishment, we did not detect any teething problems. It is good to have a nice pub/restaurant in Mangotsfield.

Just popped in for lunch. Took the lunch 2 course offer £12 or 3 course £15. The pumpkin & chestnut soup & whitebait starters were gorgeous. Fish & chips & lasagne main course were delicious. Only slight thing was it was a bit chilly in the back where are table was even though the radiator was on .

My only slight niggle was the service- the staff were certainly very friendly/ cheerful, just not entirely attentive- we had to grab their attention more than once, we weren't asked if everything was ok with our meals and we weren't offered a dessert menu or more drinks, had the restaurant been exceptionally busy I wouldn't have minded but think this is the one area that could have been a little better. There have been mixed reviews on the new Grapevine Brassiere but on our first visit last night we couldn’t fault it. Service was very good as was all the main courses (Sea Bass, Shredded Duck and Cajun Chicken) and sweets (chocolate brownie and cheesecake). Finished it off with the biggest cappuccinos I have seen. Was full on the night we went so you would certainly need to book weekends. Ok, it’s a limited menu selection but I suspect that will grow as the restaurant progresses. A big thumbs up from us and we will be back!
