m. w.Can recommend this place 100% Could have chosen anything from the menu. I went for the gomemade Lamb pie. Lovely village pub. The sweet board was fantastic. I had the pear and Amereto crumble with custard and ice cream as I couldn't choose.

Good sized pub with conservatory. Ate in the conservatory which is nice bright & warm.
Very good varied menu. Food prices slightly above the normal, but you need to pay for quality & this is quality. Food was best lunch I have had out for a while I left nothing.
Excellent attentive staff. Lots of locals which is always a good sign.

V. M.Great friendly service and take covid rules seriously. Had Sunday roast and it was excellent. The pub has their own brewery in Hambrook and serve a good selection of their own real ales. A shame they now have to shut for a while, but we'll be back as soon as they reopen.
r. m.Stumbled upon this place. Didn't expect much as it just seemed like an old pub but the service was so good. Bar staff gave great recommendations for food and drink. I had the catch of the day which was salmon and it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be returning!

Good selection of beers as a great Western brewery pub, definitely worth a visit if you are a conisseur of ales.
Deceptively large pub with many nooks and crannies (yes grannies too)
Local singers group always seem to be in there which gives a great atmosphere but they are tucked away in a back room so not overbearing.

Nice restaurant and equally nice menu.
Sometimes get that craning of the neck from the born and bred there locals.
A. W.Food was Very good, BUT eating our meal in the conservatory it was Freezing, Asked the gentleman to put the heating on, he said he would yet after 2 courses there was Still No heating put on. Spoilt the Mood really for our 34 wedding Anniversary . when We left, There was Still No heating on. So Would have to rethink for Anniversary 35.😟😟😟😟

Came for Sunday Lunch today 12th August what a wonderful Sunday lunch beautiful food , excellent service haven’t had such a wonderful roast for a long time . Will be back in November and would definitely recommend to others

G. H.We visited the Rising Sun for Sunday lunch and the food was of a great standard. Nothing was raw and nothing was overcooked, just perfect. The ambience was good and the conservatory was a perfect place to look out at the rather unfortunate weather.
