Quality carvery, big selection of gins, love the display, recently had thatchers fusion installed, can’t wait to try them all! Amazing and friendly staff! Definitely would recommend the star to all my friends and family! Favourite staff are Olivia, Charlie & Jodie, always make me smile!

Great value for money, went twice in a week and always had space and had a nice welcome from the staff. Only downside is lack of children's play area which other nearby pubs have.

Lovely carvery. Kids friendly. We were a party of 6 plus a toddler with 3 different arrival times, the front of house gentleman was so accommodating with our table. Special thanks to the young lady with the fantastic blue hair. Despite the warm day and hot conditions in the servery she was so friendly and super efficient.

Visiting from Brighton. Couldn't believe I got such a great roast for under £10.
Lovely atmosphere, super friendly, helpful staff and plenty of outside shade for the dog.

We went for a carvery at lunch time on 13/06/22
The man who served us was so incredibly friendly, welcoming and humourous.
He made our day almost as much as the delicious home made Yorkshire puddings.
He said that he was just standing in for holiday cover.
We hope he stays forever.

Lovely carvery ,choice of three meats and good selection of vegetables. Cooked to a very good standard. Lovely warm setting with friendly staff. A great place to stop off with very competitive prices.

Surprisingly low prices, decent service, fair range of drinks, including an excellent zero alcohol bitter. Many folks would give a four 🌟 rating. I just found the menu options rather formulaic pub grub. Nothing for vegans, though vegetarians and GF customers would find some dishes.
